This was such a fun way to get to see the major San Antonio sights as well as hear about its history - I have been to San Antonio before and done the major attraction tours, but I still learned so much! The guide I had was great - she was super personable and friendly with all the other runners. She seemed to not only know a ton about San Antonio's history and neat little facts about random little features I bet many of us would walk by without even noticing, but she also seemed to know a lot of the local people we ran by too - I thought that was a nice touch, it made the experience of touring San Antonio feel so much more friendly. The run is formatted so it can accommodate a whole bunch of running paces... we were stopping pretty frequently, which allowed the whole spread of running paces to stay together. Apparently other cities have running tours too, and after this experience I will definitely try and make a point to do it again when traveling... I just hope they are as friendly, informative and interesting as this tour was. Thank you River City Run for the amazing tour - I cannot recommend "y'all" highly enough!

First of all, I am not the 'best' runner in the world....BUT I enjoy being outside and doing outside activities. I've been a resident of San Antonio for 28 years and been wanting to find something informational about downtown San Antonio. Before attending this run I thought I would know 'some' facts of this tour but I still wanted the experience. I was hugely mistaken! Tina and Tommy opened my eyes to the downtown San Antonio history. I was blown away with all the facts and information they delivered. I also enjoyed the specific sites and route they picked. I had the best morning learning things about San Antonio history and got a great workout. I really really have to thank Tommy for running with me. Again, as I stated above I am not the 'best' runner. Tommy was so nice to stay with me throughout the run. (I was the last one in the group...at every stop...haha) And Tina was so sweet to wait for me to join the group to begin her commentary on the various sites. Y'all are the best! This tour was fantastic! Many thanks!

My husband, mother, and myself ran the River City Run tour and really enjoyed the experience! Although I live in San Antonio, I'm not originally from here, so learning about the historic spots in downtown San Antonio was very interesting and made me more proud of my adopted city! I'm not much of a runner and the pace was easy for me to keep up. My mom is an avid runner and the pace did not bore her. During longer stretches of the tour, the tour guides split up so the slower runners could take their time to get to the next destination. I highly recommend this tour for any visitors looking for a healthy way to start their morning and learn more about San Antonio. I also recommend for any longterm residents as a fun refresher of our history and enjoy downtown before the crowds :)

We started out at a fast pace on the tour, which was awesome for an early morning run. However, the lead tour guide Tina, did a great job of adjusting her pace to fit the pace of the runners in our group. We stopped a good amount at some beautiful sites throughout San Antonio that gave us time to rest. I had been to the cities several times but didn't realize how historical it was. Also, the other tour guide Tommy was able to relate personal experiences as he grew up in San Antonio. He also took some great action shots of our run. All in all it is a great value. You get an awesome t-shirt, water bottle and active tour through the city! They also have great recommendations for things to do and the local spots to grab drinks/delicious food.

It was so nice to see and learn about the city this way! Tina and Tommy were very knowledgeable about all the historic sites we visited. They ran at an easy pace with the group and they also took some great action shots of us running by the sites they post on their Facebook page after the tour! You also get a River City Run t-shirt after the tour too. I would recommend this tour to singles, groups, families or anyone going to visit San Antonio! It's also locally owned and operated which is nice too. Thanks for a great day and I look forward to doing the evening tour the next time I visit!

This is one of the best ways to tour the city, hands down. The guides and owners are extremely kid friendly. We brought our son in a jogging stroller. Most of the course was easy for us to manuever, and in the two spots we needed assistance, the guides were extremely helpful. Don't worry if you aren't the fastest runner. I was absolutely not, and they do a great job accommodating both the fastest and the slowest. I can't wait to bring my sister and brother in law when they are in town!

Had so much fun on this running tour. I booked a private tour because I couldn't make it to the group run.im an Avis runner always training for marathons and halfs. Tina was amazing at blending history, sights, and running. Great way to explore a city and find routes to run the rest of my trip. I would highly recommend this to any type of runner because it can be adapted for a great experience and workout!

This tour is amazing! The tour guides are super nice, friendly, good looking, and very accommodating to your requests and cardiovascular capabilities! It's a great way to better your personal fitness while also quenching your desire to learn! So many little knowledge nuggets dropped throughout this glorious experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a doer of things! Thanks Tommy and Tina!

The run was a great experience! I've been through SA before but I was pleasantly surprised to see new sights and learn the history behind it. Pace was good for the whole group and everyone was really friendly! Thanks to our tour guides Venessa and Kelly!

So much fun! Great way to see the best parts of the city and get information and tips from a local perspective. You get a workout at the same time! Our tour guide Tina was very friendly and excited to tell us about the city. I 100% recommend it.

Nice relaxed run that gives you the history of some of the most famous landmarks of San Antonio often providing tidbits that even lifetime residents of SA didn't know. Great staff, a great way to see the city and get some exercise!
