Not happy with the pharmacist there. I've been going to Rite-Aid for decades primarily in the Santa Clara location. Always terrific service there. Then I move to Santa Teresa and waited on the phone 3x,beach time a 5-16 minute wait on the phone, explaining my issue to three different people only to get the pharmacist on the phone asking if I had been helped...AFTER waiting in the phone for 16 minutes and 3 different people who clearly never communicated my issue to the pharmacist since I had to explain myself again. Then she told me, because I'm a new patient to THAT store, she had to speak to my doctor to confirm the prescription. I understand it was a controlled prescription but for that same reason it would've been nice if I was contacted about the issue rather than wading through a disconnected pharmacy team and the young woman on the phone that answered first all three times , sounds like she is not enjoying her job. The impression of this store is unprofessional at best including the pharmacist as she's ultimately accountable for her team. At this point, I just told my doctor to send it to Walgreens which filled it right away bc luckily, most of prescriptions are at Walgreens and they don't make you wait like Rite Aid. I've gone to both stores and was going to transfer all my prescriptions to Rite Aid Santa Teresa based upon my good experience with Santa Clara. I'm so happy I didn't. I haven't even gone into the Santa Teresa Rite-Aid yet and my first and last impression based upon my phone calls to the pharmacy determined not to
We purchased a bottle of Children chewable ibuprofen tablets from this store. I opened it by tearing open one end of the box (the side that didn't have the tamper proof seal) only to find the bottle inside had been tampered with. The bottle's safety foil seal was broken and one tablet was missing. Someone must have purchased it, used one tablet, then decided to return it opened and used. The person must've peeled off the tamper evident tape and on the other side without it showing damage. I could tell that the box was torn on that side when I looked much more closely. I would expect the store to do a much better job of inspecting items that are returned before placing them back on the shelf. And if their tamper proof seal isn't good enough then they shouldn't accept returns like that. This was medicine for my toddler and we really needed it. Children's ibuprofen is currently out of stock everywhere now and we're without the medicine we need. So disappointed.
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years since I moved in the area and have gone through several pharmacists/technicians even 2 years ago which seems to be the majority of the bad reviews. There was only 1 pharmacist that was there the longest that could be seen as sort of rude. I saw her as just doing her job and being direct. The current ones are kind, caring and qualified. All I know is that whenever my doctors send over a prescription, the staff is very efficient in filling it right away (if in stock) or at least informing me that it is on back order (they can even quickly find out if another Rite Aid has the meds in stock). I gave 4 stars now but may post another review later if I see that they’ve consistently provided exceptional service.
Our appointment for the COVID-19 shot at 10:00 am we get there 15 minutes early and we did get the shot after more that an hour waiting for it. Last time we waited for more than 30 mins. What’s the point of getting an appointment if it not done on time. I will not go here again.
I called the pharmacy twice today, the lady answered the phone hang up on me each time before I even finished my question. If you're busy you can tell me to wait or put the call on hold, this just pure rude and unprofessional.
They are so rude and very slow.
