This was the only bad meal we had in all of Croatia - the restaurant itself is cute but the whole experience was horrific. We weren’t very hungry so we wanted some appetizers to share and a bottle of sparkling water. First off, the bottle of water was so marked up, literally 2x anywhere else you will go in the city. And you wouldn’t know until the check because it’s also not marked on the menu. The food….we ordered the hummus tapas plate and the olives were literally the lowest quality black olives you can find with ritz crackers. Hummus itself was mediocre at best…all of that for 18 euros. It was so sad and unappetizing. Then we got “fried cheese” and it’s like they heated up some frozen mozzarella sticks. Perhaps if we ordered something else it would’ve been fine but given our experience, I would never recommend anyone to come here. We had a significantly better experience with a nearby restaurant steps away. At least the bottle of water was a much more reasonable price!

Would not recommend for 2 main reasons: Food was appalling: 1. Fish platter for one was not fresh and the fish was bland, mussels taste exactly like those frozen packs you can find in Iceland (the UK supermarket) 2. Teriyaki chicken was so tough that it’s worse than what I cook for my dog. Besides, the portions were so underwhelming that my cousins (15M and 14F) were hungry even after finishing a whole plate 3. Seafood stew is equally disappointing because the mussels were again not fresh, and ironically, is not very warm Service was poor: 1. They clearly didn’t plan for adequate room for customers to get in and out of the restaurant. Had to squeeze in a tiny gap between tables because we were asked to sit inside 2. Staff was not friendly. May I suggest that you are unlucky if a guy with a tattoo on the left side of his neck serves you. Overall: a tourist scam, my mum even got a bit unwell after dining here

I’ve eaten here a few times during my stay in Dubrovnik and the food was fresh and simply amazing. Loved the presentation and Ali is such a kind person. I’ve met a few locals and they actually often eat at LANII. From their cioppino, truffle and lobster pasta. tuna - you can’t go wrong. It’s a good thing I didn’t trust online reviews because this place is a 5.0. for me and apparently for locals too. I’d say talk to locals more and rely on reviews less

Cioppino Seafood Stew With Garlic Crostini, Seafood Platte

So far, best meal I've had in Dubrovnik. Had spicy seafood pasta, seabass and veg, and fried calamari. The seabass was amazing. I don't even like fish, skin was crispy, it was moist and flakey. Veg were flavorful and added a nice complexity to the dish. The calamari was cooked perfect. Fries were nice and crisp as well. The calamari could have used a little more spice in the batter but it was still great. Spicy seafood pasta was a good flavour, plenty of different seafood in the dish. Was not spicy though. Price was fair, service was good.

We enjoy a really nice dinner at Lanii. We shared all the dishes and we ordered 2 cold starters and 2 main dishes from the sea. The presentation of the plates were stunning. The cold sea starter to share had 2 of the elements really good like the sashimi tuna and the smoke salmon, the oder two were tasteless and not interesting at all. The main dishes shared the same kind of veggies as side dish and the rice was slightly undercooked. The waiter was polite and friendly and did a great job with his suggestion of vine, divine.

We had a lovely meal here and it was priced very well. They couldn't have been more accommodating of our two small children, changing risotto for spaghetti and letting us share an adult meal between our children. The seafood plater on the specials had a nice selection and was well priced. Every staff member was so friendly it was like going round good friends for dinner and the setting is lovely giving a great atmosphere.

Super delightful dinner, if you are at Dubrovnik for limited days this is one of the restaurants you must try! We had the cream of carrot and ginger soup, black lobster pasta, rosemary sea bass fillet & Lanii almond cream cake. They are superb! Lobster & sea bass were very fresh, meat is tender and firm. Do try their white wine as well, we loved it! Prices are high, but just about the standard as other restaurant prices in Old town.

We would recommend this restaurant. Good service, good food. Well situated in the old town .We had the black risotto and the teryaki chicken and we enjoyed both. This restaurant would be no good for anyone needing wheel chair access

Black Risotto

This restaurant was our last straw for Croatia. Their food and drinks are so expensive and just don't warrant it. The service is always great but the food is just mediocre for such a high high price. Time to get their Croatian fast food for a more reasonable price and the same flavour.

This place was highly recommended by the staff at the apartment where we stayed.The guy said they served the best seafood dishes in Dubrovnik. Retaurant Lanii did not disappoint. We had 3 of our meals there. We loved the freshness of their seafood and the food preparation was exquisite. The staff were friendly, but so is the rest of Dubrovnik. A must visit.

Great place to have some tasty and fresh food. The local draft beer was the best of the whole trip (but it was the first day and I was thirsty :)). The Posip white wine is the perfect fit for a hot summer night (a little bit more expensive, but it worth it). The service was excellent and spoke several different languages. We do recommend to eat and drink here.

We were looking for a restaurant serve good seafood plates and found this restaurant has a fairly good reviews so we decided to give it a try. We have ordered two main dishes with salmon and tuna, warm appetizers of homemade pasta with truffle sauce, carrot and ginger soup. They did not disappoint us, with the price we paid I think the food are good.

After one week in Croatia, this was our only bad meal. The waiter was rude and started arguing. We were given a wrong meal, wanted it changed.. and were charged for both. Avoid! Plenty of good restaurants in the old town!

We have spent a week in Dubrovnik and we always kept coming back to this place. The prices are reasonable, the food really excellent (and my girlfriend and I are picky with food). The wine was also good. Excellent seafood and service. They even ordered oysters for us on demand. For us it’s the best restaurant in Dubrovnik.

If you only have one meal in Dubrovnik come to Lanii. The octopus salad and the lobster black pasta are absolutely incredible. Well prepared, fresh and delicious. The waiters are very friendly and know what they are doing. The food was served fast even with a full restaurant. Can’t recommend enough.

Started nice with bread etc... But then came the main... Tiny portions, salad which would not deserve to be side and comes incomplete. Mezze which is below average. Dont come hungry. Tomato pasta were fine and basic.

So the staff was really friendly!! The food was incredibly good, especially the Steak! Prices are quite high, but not over the top, Dubrovnik is expensive, we all know that. We tried a lot of restaurants here and think this one is definitely one of the best!

Avoid this tourist trap. Hummus is bland, odd texture, served with ritz crackers and and olives (billed as vegetables). Lentil salad is greek salad with some lentils. Service was bad and the tables next to us also complained about bad food. Would run away!

Had the most awful tasteless hummus platter, served with Ritz crackers! And the tiny fried fish and chips was just as bad! The wine was OK and the waiter fine but I wish we'd chosen somewhere else to eat. So disappointing Više

Delicious food - we had fish dishes. Service is very relaxed though so don't go there if you're in a hurry! Reasonably priced too. (I don't usually take photos of my food but this looked so good.)

Best grilled squid I had during this vacation. Friendly staff nice ambience with art on the walls. Staff eager to make it work for kids as well. A bit on the pricy side, but worth the money.

We didn’t enjoy our lunch in here. Hummus was super cold and tasteless, not creamy. Falafel super compact. Tuna didn’t feel fresh service of 15 kn charged per person.

Great service, tasty big portions, charismatic manager, good value for the price, very nice place. Thank you for the dinner.

Excellent Croatian cuisine. Great restaurant with beautiful atmosphere within the old city. Tuna steak is a must-have.
