It's been 3 years since I've written my last review for this restaurant (I had given them a 4 star rating)... Since then the food has really gone down! They're putting more noodles/rice than meat/sea food... They use to give a good ratio of both... Not anymore! And they skim the takeouts even more than when you eat there... It's ridiculously laughable! Ex: I ordered a Cantonese Chow Mein to go... The thing was almost ALL NOODLES!!! There was barely any sea food at all!!! I could count the pieces on my fingers! Besides that, there's one of the cooks who can't cook properly, even if his life depended on it! He burns things (seriously, my veggies LITERALLY tasted like charcoal), he badly seasons the food, and all the sauces he makes are TOTALLY liquid when he's supposed to thicken them! I can no longer recommend this restaurant! I'm even suggesting you find somewhere else to eat and to order from! Unless they reestablish their restaurant's food to its former glory, my rating will remain a one star!

Really disappointed…… I always order to this restaurant and either I pay cash or tap by my debit and never had problems….. I order te two days ago and used rap to pay…. I’m sick and I don’t go nowhere for a week now….. suddenly my card is not working … I just ordered and I have all the reçu never had problems using my card then suddenly I need to insert my card and put my PIN number…..??? You know how many times I had been fraud like that??? Why I just ordered and used the same payment as always and never had problems until just now? Once you fall for them you will be the target for the rest of your life ……. Be aware ???!!!!!!! A lot of sort kinda fraud now a days and I can prove it ……. NEVER EVER GONNA ORDER TO THIS RESTAURANT AND I WILL NEVER EVER AS IN NEVER EVER WILL RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE……..

Good Gen Tao, good portion and price is OK as well. I wouldnt come here on a date tho. Only issue is the lady who was my waitress, she was being rude when I put 10 bucks on the table for my 9.80 dish. I didn't have no more with me and neither did I have a card on me. Long story short I indicated no change and she was telling me only 20 cent? At first I wasn't sure what she meant and whether I have underpaid but she truly meant the tip only being 20ct. Fair enough, had I more money with me I'd probably threw another dollar on top of it but I didn't. And sure enough she refused to take the 20ct. I really didn't mean to offend her and maybe she had a bad day, but I'd rather share here

Great spot for that Chinese food craving :) Went with a friend for lunch, had a combo for 2, plenty of food, Tom Yum soup was good, real big shrimps inside, quite spicy tho. Main meals were delicious. Overall, very affordable for the amount of food you get. Will go back for sure!

I’ve been going to this restaurant for 20 years and today was the worse time . To start with they’ve reduced the size of their containers by 25% this I can accept in these harsh times but the food for the First time was just flavourless. I travel over 40 minutes to get there and if it’s the same way next time I’ll find somewhere closer to home. Just tried them again and this time they didn’t disappoint food was fantastic and spicy ️, thank goodness last time was a blip in their food. So I still have my favourite restaurant that I travel over 1 hour round trip…. It’s worth the time and money!!!!

Greasy stereotypical chinese restaurant. Back alley stuff old bearded asian men would fight in if this was a movie - except it's not. Maybe the dirtiest restaurant in the neighboorhood. This is a good thing. Meats other than the chicken are slathered in so much sauce it's near impossible to tell what you're eating. This is a good thing. Menu is varied and great for people off all ages and tastes; excluding those with a weak stomach or want to know what they're eating. Perfect place to come to when drunk. This is St-Laurent's interpretation of the greasy late night kebab.

I ordered a traditional Cantonese noodle from them during covid19 around noon. The ingredients were decent, the green pepper was a good touch, other restaurants tend to avoid green bell pepper. The sauce was little which avoided the noodles to be too soaked. The fatal problem of that Cantonese noodle was the noodle itself ... It was subpar fried noodle. On top of providing a smaller portion, the cost has risen from 8.90$ to 12.10$. The chasiu tasted as if it came out from the freezer. A typical Cantonese person would find this Cantonese noodle dish... Subpar but eatable.

Really great value and excellent food quality. We ordered a few noodle dishes, fried seafood and general Tao. The dishes were tasty and you can really taste the smoke of the wok. The servers are kind and the place had a steady flow of customers. Most orders are for takeout but they do have a small dining area. Lots of regulars that came in and even though the atmosphere is not so cozy, the food is worth it! Will definitely come again.

Been going there for over 10 years 2022 update: I don't know what happened but the quality, quantity, and flavour went seriously down. The prices went up which I wouldn't mind if the taste and quality stayed the same. So disappointing. The food has become so bland and sad. I have given it multiple chances hoping it was a fluke, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be. This has been my family's go to place since I was a child but now we'll have to find a new go to place. I will try it again in a few months and hopefully it will have gone back to being delicious.

By far my most favorite restaurant for Chinese food and Asian food. It is worth walking 20+ kilometer just to binge on their tasty food. The inside restaurant needs a revamp it is small and looks dull. But nevertheless you will only go their for the food. So the decor doesn't matter. This is a well worth 15/10 . Since covid the restaurant only sell take-out cant dine in anymore. But the service and quality is still there. Restaurant is still very popular at 11am they already had 4 customers waiting. Food is amazing. Keep it up.

Ordered beef stew soup noodle take out. When I get to eat, I found myself with just beef fat without actual meat. So the whole meal is now just soup noodle. It would be proper for the chef to chop all if not most of the fat out of the beef stew. It doesn’t make sense to only have fat and serve it as a meal.

This is one of my favorite go to asian restaurant.. the prices are very decent.. the food is good and taste is consistent.. I highly recommend the shanghai noodles, Singapore noodles, general tao, and fried shrimps and calamari.. they're very conveniently located as they're right by a metro station.. they also deliver.. fyi: the dining area isn't the best looking..

Have order here numerous times and love . But today will be my last time the phad tai taste spoiled i couldnt eat it lucky i didnt serve it too my kids. Call them and Jade was extremely rude . Too bad love this place but the service i receive today i will never order there again and will let others know who work with me. I know what smells and taste rotten.

This is a hood favorite. The food is a decent price and always hot and ready quickly when you call for takeout. Had brocolli and beef. Large portions are guaranteed. Owners are friendly. So far, dining room is still closed for in door dining only take out and delivery options available.

Been ordering for over 8 years. Always fresh crispy vegetables, big shrimp. Portions are big and reasonably priced. Always arrives piping hot and fast. Order directly on their website to help them avoid the Uber eats charge and keep their restaurant going for many more years!

Use to be good, maybe an off day for them? Got take-out on General Tao and meat was dry, dark and very ruff and chewy. Also found a strange piece of sharp flat bone or keratin? Come on folks, lets get back up there. You were very good on several past orders.

Food is dry and has way to much batter on everything fried. It’s good the first few times then it becomes the worst place on Décarie by far. Also they’ve had 3 fines for having a filthy kitchen and not refregerating their food at a cold enough temperature.

The best Chinese spot on the island. My favourites are: the spring rolls, any of their fried noodle dishes, the general tao, fried shrimp and calamari, and their fried chicken is nuts!! Been going there for like 14 years and I’ve rarely been disappointed.

Honestly you can't go wrong I love there general tao the soups too and there penut butter dumpling are good as well its the first time trying there chicken fried rice and I have high expectations and yeah there my go to place if I'm craving Chinese food

Ordered fried nooodles and they gave me fried noodle sticks that you add to soups, not actual noodles. The majority was sauce and it was bland. Called them back and they denied everything. Horrible customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Not great Chinese food. If you're in a real jam and have to have a Chinese meal in this part of town then I guess you could do it but keep your expectations realistic. This is not haut cuisine and by far not the best Chinese restaurant in town.

The owner is cheap with the food, and really poor customer service, the place is unsanitary even after getting closed down earlier for rat infestation—their cups still look unwashed. Also, every time I ate their food I felt like throwing up.

I have been going to that place for 16 years. A very good quality price ratio, a lot of choice, vegetarian and vegan options. There are many Asian food restaurants coming and going in cote vertu area, but the kam do is still here.

My family & I come here regularly and have for years! It's not the best looking place but don't let it deceive you!!! The food is amazing, great quantity for price. And the people are really nice and polite. Can't go wrong …

No frills, cheap eats that will satisfy your cravings for authentic Chinese food. Once you've placed your order they're quick to make it fresh. They also have lunch specials for some of their classic menu options. Check them out!

For the price you pay and amount you end up getting, this restaurant comes out on top. Stick to the main dishes and you won't be disappointed. People expecting great service from a cheap Chinese place, are delusional. Stay home.

Simply delicious I love the fried calamari and shrimps, Cantonese noodles, shanghai noodles, sweet and sour chicken etc.. although its a little bit oily most if their dishes but overall not bad and reasonably price.

Pad Thai style rice was dry...don't even know how they succeed at doing that considered it's a "saucey" dish. Everything else was I tried was good....will try again for the 3rd time to give a full judgment.

The waiter was rude, didn't write down the proper food when my lady was ordering and delivered my cold food 15mins after hers? I mean expected better from the reviews I read but this is amateur at best.

The quality of the place went down. I bought a general tao and they serve me literally half of the chicken in it and also they are using literally no sauce in it. they are starting to cheap out.

Still wondering as to whether to come in here or go across the street. Food is fantastic and cheap. Get the general Tao and pad Thai or Singapore noodles. You won't be sorry. Stop dillydallying.

The food was amazing, cheap and fills you up. My friend and I walked 15 minutes in the cool and when we got to the building the door was still really hot.

Must get 41 Orange Beef and roll it in sauce just before eating 7 Dumplings in peanut sauce 24 Beef Rice Noodle. General Tao is ok. Pad Thai was not great

Amazing food, we have been going for 14 years and we always enjoyed it. The place is quite shabby but could not care less as the food is always spot on.

Unfortunately this spot is going downhill. Prices went up and portions went down. Sad to say but this place is dead to me because of my recent visit.
