Renate is an amazing teacher, not only a great teacher but also a very positive, inspiring, motivational and supportive. My daughter has been taking art lessons from her since last year. I must say, my daughter was very shy and not confident before. Since she started taking lessons she changed a lot. She is very happy, confident 7 years old now :) . She never believed herself that she could do it!! But because of Renate she did it!!! She paints amazing things her drawing is soo good now. Also , I realised that it is like a happy therapy for my daughter to attend lessons and spend time with Renate. I would highly recommend her , she is one in million . She has a great relationship with all the children and her efforts on children to bring the best out of them is priceless. My daughter feels like she is taking lessons not from a teacher but a very good friend :) . She loves Renate and thank god we met this amazing teacher ... ı think art is very important on our mental health , in every aspect it is a one of ‘a must have in my daughter’s life’ . If you’re looking for outstanding art lessons with a focus on really learning about technique and enabling your child to develop their own interests and style, then Renate is the teacher for you. Both my kids have been attending for a few months now and it’s been wonderful to see them grow in confidence and ability through Renate’s skilful, patient, kind and nurturing tuition. What they learn and create during a one hour session is always astonishing to me and has a lasting impact on them, both in art terms and simply as happier beings because they have enjoyed the safe, creative space of Renate’s gallery. I was drawn into the gallery as a local resident passing by and watching the beautiful portrait that one of her students was working on; I felt instinctively that this was where my kids needed to be. I highly recommend Renate’s art tuition and compare it to the same heights as a fantastic music tutor, who has all the skill but also all the compassion and understanding of how to get the very best out of a child.

I went on a whim to see Renate in February after wanting to try painting lessons for months, years really. I had no confidence and had no idea what I wanted to do. I left that first lesson full of excitement. It was the best thing I could have done!! The joy of painting!! It’s opened up a world for me and I can’t thank Renate enough. I’d never painted. Was scared of colour. Couldn’t draw faces. Now I paint colourful portraits and love every second. It’s so therapeutic yet challenging, frustrating yet so rewarding. I can’t imagine my life without painting now. Renate is an exceptional teacher, I’m in awe of her work, she has an incredible talent. My lessons are a highlight of my week, she’s friendly, professional, such a wonderful and beautiful person, inside and out.

My daughters have been taking lessons with Renate since Summer 2019 and they absolutely love it. Renate is an excellent teacher, very patient, approachable and enthusiastic. I am so happy to have found Renate as the art classes at school were far too rushed and regimented to allow for that artistic creativity to flow. Renate painted the most beautiful portrait of our daughter, which was something we wanted to commission, in order to capture the memory of her at a certain age. The process from start to finish was just perfect; Renate worked from a photo, listened to our requirements and what we wanted to achieve. It was super exciting to receive photos of the painting in progress, as we could see the portrait develop from sketch to finish product. We did a lot of research and searching for a good artist, and we are so happy that we chose Renate for this special piece of art, which we will treasure as our daughter grows.

I am so happy that Renate has her gallery in Hayes. My two daughters are taking lessons from such an incredible artist. You enter the gallery and there are so many beautiful paintings of hers. (I love her David Bowie portrait). And then I look what my children have been doing during the lesson. And frankly, it’s hard to believe how much she gives as a teacher. My 13 year old daughter has been having art lessons with Renate since early this year. She has learnt so much including how to properly use different paints and other materials, and has produced some lovely pieces of artwork. My daughter looks forward to her weekly classes with Renate as they are enjoyable, fun and Renate makes her feel relaxed which gives her the confidence to experiment with materials without judgement; she can see how much progress she has made in a short period of time.
