Reif's is a neighborhood bar on the UES where everyone makes you feel welcome. All of the bartenders are friendly. One thing that sets it apart from some of the nearby bars is they have a patio out back with grills and you can bring your own meat to grill! Stop by with a group of friends and you will surely have a great time!
If you're looking for a vibe that will make you feel like a local, and nothing too fancy, this is a spot you can can enjoy. The crowd is usually an older group of regulars, but the conversations are witty and entertaining. I don't usually hang out here too long, but will stop in for a beer every now and again.
Reif's stands tall among Manhattan's dwindling dive bars. In ways it looks and feels a long way from NYC: quaint exterior with beckoning Pabst sign, cozy interior with weathered bar and pool table. Sit for a few pint and NYC shines through: Great bartenders, boisterous patrons, no BS.
Usually a chill spot but not if you go there on a Sunday the bartender Is slow mixes up the orders clearly can't multi task... and has a lot of attitude. Tuesday on the other hand Kat is amazing her personality is so awesome just a beautiful person
Either this place is getting better or I'm getting used to it. Previously rated 2 stars but had a good time last night so bumping up to 4. Day bartender was polite but seemed to not want to be bothered. However, caught him at the end of
One star for one reason only: the bartender. This tattooed guy rudely demands for our IDs, only has two taps available, proceeds to pour the sloppiest, foamiest, bubbly Guinness of all time, then personally confronts us for not tipping.
Reif's is one of those hidden gems that you have to know about to find. The front bar is cosy and filled with (friendly) regulars, the back area has a nice pool table, and the backyard is just huge and perfect in the fall and spring.
I love this bar, Dylan is super chilled and always gets the conversation flowing between everyone at the bar. The beer is good and everyone is really friendly. Cant recommend more for a fun night having a few drinks.
UPDATE! Pool table is better now and is free, big plus! Atmosphere is much better, the bartender is awesome! She gets it, she is pleasant and make EVERYONE feel welcome, glad I came bac! I will be a new regular now!
Reif's is the personification of what a neighbourhood bar should be. If this is what you're looking for it delivers in every way imaginable. If ya don't know, then you don't. If you do... you've found a gem.
We reserved the outdoor area for a BBQ, and it was great! they let you bring your own food, and you can just drink from the bar. The barman is super friendly and the music is happy and party style.
Great place, cheaply priced drinks. Pool table (2$/game) and shuffleboard (free) in the back, and an outdoor patio area too. Multiple tvs for sports games. No kitchen but can bring outside food in
One of the oldest Yorkville neighborhood bars but very cozy and welcoming, great collage bar for the weekends.pool table, shuffle board, local restaurants to order from and always a welcoming crowd.
Hit this bar up on my birthday bar crawl and couldn't have been happier. Bar tender was amazing, people were great, and drinks were good. A really chill place to get a local drink.
This is a classic Manhattan dive, unpretentious, friendly (but not overly so), dog-eared and quirky. You’ll love it or never come back. Good bar, interesting patrons, but no food.
A local bar with a great set of characters. Not large but not small. Nice front bar and plenty of room in the back. There is also outdoor seating in the front and back. More
Every Friday is date night here and our drink order is always remembered busy but always great service... I look forward to my weekly visit ☺ …
A gem in the UES. Such a lovely personnel, we love to go there every Friday and enjoy some drinks after work. Excellent cocktails and awesome patio
Super chill place. Pool table in the back. Shuffleboard which is free. Chill place with a space out back open in the summers. You can BYOF!
Relaxed bar with great service and a local feel. Highly recommend stopping by if your looking to just have a couple of drinks with friends
Very chill on a Sunday afternoon. We had the pool table and the entire back area all to ourselves. The bartender was nice too. Thank you
Visited Oct 2022. Awesome bar, with a friendly atmosphere. Bob the owner was really cool; popped in for one beer during the afternoon,
A comfortable bar with no pretensions and no attitude. Cheap Drinks. The bartenders are pleasant. I prefer the patio in the back.
Came in to watch a soccer match in the afternoon. Great neighborhood pub with a great bartender (Dylan). Definitely coming back.
Reif's is an excellent neighborhood spot. The bartenders and owner are welcoming and the place has a very friendly vibe overall.
Bartenders are always so nice and attentive! The pool table is a really cool plus. Def one of my fave spots to chill and talk.

Great bar. One of N.Y.C.'s hidden secrets. Love this place. Wonderful hidden pattio. Must stop spot
Mush try the grilled octopus! the Bartenders skills are like wow! You will not be disappointed.
Rude staff and awful patrons who are allowed to take drinks outside and shout on the sidewalk.
Nice bar, larger than it looks from the outside. Good drinks on tap at reasonable prices.
Cool dive bar with a pool table and shuffleboard. Fair prices in a laid back atmosphere.
Old NY bar with lots of class. Visit only if you want to feel like family.
Best bar in the whole neighborhood! Got a pool table and private backyard
They hosted a private party for us. Everything went very well.
Super friendly watering hole in a great neighborhood.
