$31 and 5000 calories later, I enjoyed my Regal Cinemas experience. Some of us know that movie studios have Regal Cinemas by the b*lls. Movie Studios keep nearly 100% of the money for the first 15 days and the theaters nearly-sole revenue stream is concessions. That's the Theater Model. It's just the way it is. So, let's get back to my 5000 calorie movie. First, that's enough calories to run a marathon. Yep, serious. I bought the 64oz Sprite, Medium Bag of Popcorn with "heart attack amount" of butter flavoring, Sour Patch Kids, some other Sour candy, and some Peanut M&Ms. I ate the whole damn thing. I admit I did have trouble calculating simple math due to the probable insulin shock I was experiencing but that's expected. All in all, it was a great day at the movies. If you can sympathize with the crappy Corporate behemoth known as Regal Cinemas, you can order your $6 beverage and your $4 candy with your chin held high. UPDATE: So after going back again last week, I encountered a Level 10 Douchebag working the ticket window. This gentleman, one by one, waited for anyone to say anything about the ticket prices, then would utter his 'go-to' answer of "Oh, did you not want the ticket?" He would then proceed to 'act naive' when each customer replied , "Um, no, i never said that. Why would I turn around and leave?" "Oh, because I heard you complain about the ticket prices..it didn't sound like you wanted it," said the dicky ticket-window male. Yep. There is a major douchecannon working the ticket window at this location. Bigger guy, dark hair, possibly middle-eastern or hispanic descent. Make sure to mess with him mentally and let him have it.

I want to give this place 5 stars. They've got great sound, decent seats, and very nice staff. Not to mention a great rotation of movies. However, I got my boyfriend and Ultimate Regal Pass for Christmas and since we've been going to lots of movies, I've been here a few times just in the last month. I don't know if it's the just popcorn kernels or if something else is happening, but the last 2 times we've been there, our large popcorn bucket has been filled with a handful of randomly placed moldy popcorn. It's gross. I found green mold the 1st time I took the extra stuff home just to inspect. The second time, I ate a piece that almost made me throw up during the movie!! I told the staff at the end of the night about it, and they just looked at me like I was trying to get a refund. I'm not. I don't care about the money. I care about myself and others being exposed to rotten food. Regal, please check your corn? Maybe your distributors sold you a bad batch? Maybe you're recycling old corn? (I hope not...) But whatever you do, so something!! The only thing I want to make me feel like vomiting during a movie is an awesomely disgusting scene from a horror film... P. S. Underwater was pretty rad.

All I can say is I hope the employees here one day get training in customer service. Andrew and “Jason” are a joke of customer care. Our movie did not work today. We get it, things happen, all I ask is that as a manager you make it right. The absolute best they were willing to offer was a free ticket. This did not include the original service fee, didn’t account for the popcorn or food that were now useless. Also there was a showing of the same movie only on 3D that started in 10 minutes. They would not allow us to attend that showing! It started in 10 minutes, if there are open seats why not help out the customers you already have. Go to a different theater! Do not go here!

I ordered a large popcorn with butter and I had a couple handfuls and started to taste mildew. I started to search through my popcorn and started to see green spots on the popcorn. I went back and told them and they went to get me more from the same popcorn They served me from originally, I needed up saying never mind I wanted my money back. The taste was so strong my stomach is turning now and if I continue to get more sick I’m going to take further action. Manager seemed like he was in the wrong position and the crew were just standing around talking and joining. The manager had to tell them to go look through the popcorn. What a joke!

Is attended a matinee during the week, cost 12$ (this is senior rate). Theater pretty empty. Seats very comfortable. 1/2 hour of previews before show advertised to start at 1:30 that then actually started at 2( I love previews, but this was way too many?). Next time I'll arrive later. OK this may be an old person thing, but the sound was waaaay too loud, to the point I had to put my hands over my ears to tone it down (I could still hear!). Really, I don't recall movies being this loud. Anyhoo, it's a nice, clean, comfortable venue & staff are friendly.

Favorite theater. I see almost everything here, it is easy to get to. Being part of the mall complex you have easy access to all of the shopping and dining options there. (Movies at the mall, awesomely nostalgic ) The staff here is always friendly and the theaters are clean. The spacious comfortable stadium seating is what brings me back everytime. The ladies rooms has lots stalls, I don't think I've ever had to wait even when a new blockbuster is over. Beer, wine, slushies, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream and the usual suspects, Coke, candy and popcorn.

Great place to go and watch a movie, is very clean and the prices are okay. But if I were you I would get to Regal unlimited you can pay $21 and watch as many movies as much as you want in 30 days. You can pay like a few more dollars and it covers all U.S.A. or pay a little more and it will cover also IMAX and 3D movies. I have the information on here in a picture. You have to get the app to do it though. If your in town check this place out and come see a movie.

Magical theater up in the penthouse suite of Oregon's best mall, I've caught some good flicks here, don't fall off those escalators! haha looking over that edge can give me vertigo, but this place is rad, always makes my heart skip a beat to walk in here, you just feel like the VIP you are, big romantic spot, perfect for impressive dates. Next door to a lot of other cool bars and restaurants to unwind post-movie, definitely a must see of Portland.

  • Kurtis

I will have to rate this place with just a okay. First of all, for a downtown location movie theater I thought it would look and feel better. As for the layout of this movie theater I believe it's great! The service is also great. I'm not a big fan of there small movie theater rooms. The space they offer just feel too small and sometimes it looks like no one has clean the room from the last movie.

  • Wes Lamkin

the best part about this Regal is the location. Nothing like hanging out downtown and then catching a movie to finish off your day. The theater is clean as all the Regal's I have attended are, but other than that, its just another Regal. Movie, Drink, and Popcorn will set you back about 35 to 40 bucks just for two people. So if your on a budget, make sure the movie your seeing is worth the buck.

  • Marie Fisher

Everything about this theater screams low end. From its mall location, to the inability to select seats in advance, to the overpriced and low quality concessions, to the pre-show advertisers (Taco Bell?!). When options like Living Room Theaters and Cinetopia exist, I honestly don't understand how Regal stays in business, except that it seems to have the monopoly on new release blockbusters.

  • Doctor Tetanus

An awful experience. The concessions are overpriced, even for a theater. They can't manage to pop popcorn without setting off the fire alarm, which interrupted the movie, of course. The employees of the theater were lazy and inattentive, which explains the fire alarm. I won't be taking advantage of this theater any more in the future. Lessen learned. You have been warned.

  • Travis Peterson

This is favorite cinema in the greater Portland area. The staff is always friendly and the theaters are always clean. I'm giving 4 stars because I don't like that they serve alcohol. People tend to spill their beer or wine in the dark theater and it really smells. I've also encountered a few belligerent individuals, but you can find that almost anywhere.

  • Chad Storms

What's happened to Pioneer Place? The food court is basically boarded up with only two choices. Having the water features gone, it just feels like a dark cave. The elevators where blocked off as well. It also appears some of the stores that don't display windows on the street have left. Overall the mall feels like a shell of its former self...

  • Alexandra

Really nice location! Love the stadium seating (short gals rejoice)! Love that it’s part of the mall so it makes for a fun day! All the workers are really nice too. I would totally suggest becoming a regal crown club member, it’s free and you can points to use for concessions and such. Getting a free popcorn and drink this visit, woohoo!

  • Tim Aguirre

This place is horrible. I have tried to see 3 movies here and each time was horrible. There was people talking the entire movie. Not once was there anyone checking on the theater. The only reason I went 3 times was because I complained about my movie being ruined by texting. I'd rather wait to see a movie from home then see it there.

  • Matthew Sevier

This theater was very clean. Inside and out. I had not problems with using my Atom App to gain access to the theater. If you plan on traveling in to downtown to use this theater, I would highly suggest not to. The location is not conducive to parking, timing, traffic, and cost - unless you plan on doing something else in downtown.

  • Michelle Gilmore

Went to see John Wick last night, but was unable to finish watching because there was NO a/c. Hotter in the theater than it was outside!!. Sweltering!! Your teenage manager said there was a problem in the whole mall....not true, the rest of the mall was very cool. Will NEVER come back!! I want my money back! What a waste!

  • Ben Rippel

Clean, routine Regal 6 screen cinema. Top floor of the shopping center. Like most Regals these days, they offer several beers and wines to enjoy with your cinematic experience. Clean floors, unassigned stadium seating. Easy (but not free) parking. Mainstream movies. "Art house" features run at nearby Fox Tower.

  • Raychel Brown

This place is absolutely amazing. I saw a movie with a friend and there was a large amount of seating to choose from. They may not have the luxury seating, but they have amazing service. Special thank you to my girl Lacey. She is amazing she delt with us just. Being confused about the different snack choices.

  • David Dixon

This is a fun theatre that is in the eastern portion of the pioneer square mall. We have seen plenty of movies here, mainly since it is the closest movie theatre to us in the NW that will play the recently released films. It is easy access to take public transportation here, so don't feel the need to drive.

  • H Bl

I think this is a good theatre as far as Regals go. It's pretty clean, and the auditoriums are large and have stadium seating. They usually get popular blockbusters and not as many kids as the Lloyd theatres. The staff is always pleasant, too. If I go a Regal I usually come here.

  • Sheena “Kazina Maxine” Pruiett

First time experience at this movie theater and very nice. Located inside the Pioneer Place Mall all the way at the top. But easy to get there by escalators. Atmosphere is nice and clean.. we went on a week day and no crowd at all. Seats were comfortable and enjoyed the movie!

  • Andrew Chaney

It's a Regal, so you pretty much know what you're getting, your average overpriced movie experience. This Regal however has decided that because it is conveniently downtown that they will charge more than pretty much any other Regal in town, so be forewarned about that.

  • BossLady Rae

Great little Cinema. Clean and friendly staff. Typical ticket and snack pricing so I think I'm gonna stick to mostly streaming, a small wait for new releases isn't so bad. Some shops on the lower levels and nice downtown location. Weeknights are pretty peaceful.

  • Scott Shiigi

This is one of the theaters we frequent as it is convenient to walk to. I like the larger theaters with assigned seating especially in covid. The staff is always friendly here. We have had the Regal Pass for a few years and are starting to make use of it again.

  • Cyrian Le Breton

Really love the place, especially the view from the top and just watching all the people going the wrong way on the escalator very funny. The people are really friendly and nice you should get the large pop-corn and you get a refill it, which is nice.

  • Vanezza Sutit

Needed to pee. Ticket man was standing right outside the doors to the restroom. All bathrooms were closed and I was already at the top cause I figured they’d have a restroom in the lobby. It wasn’t that serious brown haired man with the glasses …

  • Bill Melcher

This is our go to theater in the city. It has stadium seating, and these days it is rarely busy. There is assigned seating. With the Regal app and Regal Unlimited it is easy to get tickets and seats ahead of time so as to avoid showing up too early.

  • Megan Hall

I've actually enjoyed seeing movies here the last few I've seen. It's quick to buy tickets either at kiosk or box office, concessions are fast too, and the theaters have been pretty empty and I've had quiet audiences. Overall been a good experience.

  • Brice Birchfield

Pretty clean. Nothing but good experiences here. Except one time my girlfriend forgot her ID and we were turned away from an R-rated movie by someone who couldn't have been older than 18 or 19. We walked there from home because it was a nice night.

  • Bryan Smith

It was very clean, the sound was good, and the staff was very kind when we clearly showed up at the wrong time for our movie. Apparently people often book Fox Tower tickets, then come to Pioneer Place so they were well prepared for clueless people.

  • Leslie Alfred Sanya

The service here is average. I wanted coffee or tea due to the season but they have no hot drinks... So I got myself tea from the food court downstairs. I did make the suggestion and I hope they'll have hot drinks available during fall and winter.

  • Thomas Suckow

Got there 10 minutes early. Order a pizza and popcorn and a hot dog. Spent 5 minutes making popcorn and dog and drinks.... THEN put the pizza in the oven which takes over 6 minutes................. Good thing I don't care about the previews.

  • Chris Reel

The theatre was very clean. The security guard on duty went above and beyond my expectations. I had left the theatre without my phone. Not realizing it until I had reached the ground floor and was about to exit the mall. I think we were the

  • Eddie's C

Wow... The manager with black n gray fumanchu beard is horrible. Did they interview him or just pick him up from the anger management clinic? One bitter nasty dude! If your looking for service with a smile try another theater.

  • Brian Bawol

Pretty standard movie going experience, expensive as any downtown movieplex. Parking downtown is no fun so ride your bike for a change and get some exercise to work off the junk food you will be purchasing in the theater.

  • Tanner Bass

If you are reading this review, you may be frantically trying to find the exit before your Jamba juice runs out and the long dark night sets in. Unfortunately, I don't know where it is. No one knows. We live here now.

  • Stuart Wainstock

It's a movie theater in a mall. The concessions and tickets are nice and pricey. If you can find a Google Offers or Groupon discount you'll be much happier. The chairs in the theaters are comfy and well taken care of.

  • Miranda Belsher

The tickets were more expensive then other Regal Cinemas I go to in the area and the seating was not that comfortable. On the other hand the picture and sound quality of the movie I saw "Finding Dory" was very good.

  • Benedict Cahill

Movie theater is really nice, not too crowded but the best thing is the service. Everybody working here is super nice and helpful and go out of their way to make our experience better. This is our new regular place!

  • Ops locked

It's the closest movie theater by me that is decent. They are pretty up to date with most or even all the new movies coming out. I tend to go there from time to time. Clean place and not much people so less noise.

  • Marla Duby

I love the open captions you all had when my husband and I went to see Thor with open captions I'm deaf and I read what's been said I love it!! Thank you so much!!!! Please continue to do so with other movies...

  • Cesar Munir

Top floor of the mall well maintained busy during certain times so buy tickets in advance if possible to skip the lines. however idk whats more ridiculous: the lines for the snacks, or the prices for snacks.

  • Ana Rotert

Great movie theater for being in the mall. For all of the show times, check the other movie theater that they have a few blocks away. Always “empty” which makes it really good to get away from the crowd!

  • Kevin O'Boyle

Manager got mad that I asked for my refil with my order. Many regals do this. Not only was he stubborn about this, but went and got me sugar packets instead of salt with my popcorn. A blemish on regal.

  • Ana Cita

If you watch a film in room 6 in the evening, you will have to hear the blasting loud bass music coming from Punch Bowl Social. Not worth going to the movie theater for that. Better sound at home .

  • KnightofWU

I saw Love, Simon here a few weeks back, and the service was great. The box office worker was quick, the concessions people were friendly, and it was an overall pleasant experience! Nice Job!

  • Kerry Davies

I like fox tower better but this is a great theater, you get the added bonus of having a mall and some restaurants in the same place. The theater is always super clean and the popcorn fresh.

  • JoAnne Crouch

A good visit, only thing volume way to loud but the attendant did turn it down. My Husband very hard of hearing but volume Was even to loud for him with hearing aides out. Theater was clean.

  • Styk Head

Always liked this theater ,just afraid of heights .staff are awesome (Dori especially ) comfortable clean reclining seats .this place host alot of advance screenings from gofobo too ! …

  • Daniel Corpus

One other viewer with us in black widow. Cashier/ticket taker were kind. One issue other people might have is only some movies run some times for black widow the times were ONLY 12:00 and 3

  • Amanda Steinebach

This was the worst movie experience ever! Their account or heater was broken and it was a 100 degrees. My father and I both ended up with heat stroke. All employees were rude about it.

  • Jonathon Lopez

Alittle difficult getting to the theatre navigating through the mall. Theatre quality is so-so. It is alittle outdated but it is comfortable and the movie offerings are good

  • Rana Tahir

The service here was great! The manager really helped when I had a ticket mixup. Cinema is clean and cozy. Also all of the staff was helpful and friendly. Thanks so much!

  • Robert Beezhold

Saw "Dune" here. The theater was clean and the sound was clear. The screen was adequate, but given the epic nature of the film, I should have gone to an IMAX theater...

  • Paul Sedillo

The beauty of this theater is that it was right across from our hotel. It's small so not many movies to pick from. A good place to kill time while staying in downtown.

  • Amanda Otero

This is my favorite theater I always go there to watch movies it’s right at the mall so you can go shopping or go to punch bowl and then enjoy a movie afterwards.

  • KEITH FIELD

I have never been more dissatisfied from a movie theater. The manager working there should be fired for how she treats paying customers.I will contact Corporate.

  • Erick Nagy

Good cinema. Unfortunately they do not turn off the lights for 3D previews, making it not very clear with the glasses. Audio as also too loud for the previews.

  • Jeffrey Phillips Christiansen

Nothing fancy like some other Portland theaters, but it is clean, well managed and conveniently located. A very typical Regal, I always enjoy my time here.

  • Robert Swanson

Went to see Venom. The crew are always friendly. My wife is disabled and they ask if she would need assistance. Very nice. Thats why we like to come here.

  • Thomas Wischhoefer (Elapsed)

Fantastic stadium seating, helpful staff. They don't pester you to sign up for a regal card if you say you don't have one. I love this place for movies

  • Mary Roybal

Love Regal Cinemas. Movies are priced reasonable. Snacks and drinks are expensive. Restrooms are clean. Rugs thru out the theatre are always vacuumed.

  • Pancakevirgo

Watched shang-chi and during the middle of it i got hungry and bought some food, had great interaction with the clerk and the seats for comfy

  • Deri Bash

Often one of the only theaters on the west side to routinely have available seats to reserve for new features. Great reclining stadium seats.

  • Javier Carmona

Nice and clean, the surrounding area is nice as well and the theater is open late so you can go and watch a movie late night at 10.00 PM.

  • Laviolet Martin

Ahh the moscato there is great, comfortable seats. accidentally fell asleep but woke up during the movie parts where it counts! Lol smh

  • AJ Rogers

Great service and clean theatre, but the seats are awful. Won’t be back just because of the seats. Much rather go to Cinemark on 82nd.

  • CJ Jones

I've never had a bad experience here. Easy to see a movie, nothing to flashy. If you just want to sit and watch your movie, come here.

  • Spencer Cream

My review is related to customer service only. I went and saw a movie yesterday at this theater. We were seeing IT, and there

  • Clark Blakley

Had our company party at Punch Bowl Social. Big fun good food the servers are great! Had so much fun Bowling! Check it out

  • Jason King

Not the biggest screen. Sound was too loud at times. Staff were welcoming. Price was ok. Conveniently in centre of town.

  • Rick Hawn

Not the fault of Regal, but late night viewing on a holiday means a skeleton crew and very few other audience members.

  • Brian

Staff was friendly and nice movies were OK If you can go weekdays not at night it's best but it's always pretty clean

  • Arturo De Leon

Alway love their hospitality and great popcorn and drinks for extra credit point get get discount items and movies.

  • Brian Nickel

Staff is extra friendly. Concessions are quick. Conveniently located downtown. Even do some shopping at the mall.

  • Curtis Lamp

The theatre is the whole top floor id the mall! Seating could be updated, but the overall experience was great

  • Brenda Williams

Seats are not very comfortable. Killed my lower back. But other than that it was a fine theater.

  • matthieu quercia

Clean, nice location and nice staff. I enjoyed my time here (was alone in the movie theater)

  • Shannon Crowner-Jones

First time here. Theater is all the way at the top of the mall. Nice experience.

  • Aletha Yates

The staff is so nice. Very clean theater rooms. Love it! Recommend to all

  • Rose Flores

Clean movie theater nice employees. Convenient parking across the street.

  • Jesse James

The manager is political with the movie picks. Might as well be in China

  • Carlos Lara

It's a decent theater. Not as full featured as other newer theaters

  • Brandon Fannin

Good Movies. Empty When I Went. We Like It That Way …

  • Deijah Mckinley

Love this movie theater first time there it was amazing

Just a Regal in a fancy mall. Nothing special.
