Incompetence, lack of logic, lack of common sense and an inability to think must be on all the job descriptions for this borough. Just to give you examples of this incompetent or perhaps more sinister money raising tactic this borough employs, on several occasions, I have been issued with a parking fine (PCN) when I have had a valid paid for ticket clearly displayed on my car dashboard. It seems the officers that this borough employs are able to read only the time the ticket was issued at rather than what time it is valid until! That is a pretty basic part of their job. This results in having to waste time contesting a ticket issued incorrectly as I had a valid ticket. Trying to speak with staff members who have any semblance of intelligence or ability to conduct themselves in a manner customer service role is impossible. In most instances, I am left flabbergasted by their comments, e.g. being advised that they sent a rejection to an appeal 6 weeks before the incident even occurred! While it is never nice to take jobs from people, this council needs to automate, outsource wherever they can because they are devoid of any ability and dealing with a machine (whether in working order or not) is going to be infinitely better than what they have now.

To add to this joke of a council - 15 years ago was a brilliant borough now you look around litreally everything is falling apart. the stupid council hires people look and sound half sleepy not a concern in the world to provide a service. it needs a major shake up even the mannager and head of departmnts all sound like are here to collect a pay check. you take staff members from Redbridge put them in other council probably would not last a week. Worse council ever! Can't deal with complaints, can't deal with long standing residents. Wonder Redbridge is falling apart families are moving out, tried calling drop kerb dept. No pick up only one person gets back and tree department I don't think they exist, made up department. I get the benefit of trees but when a tree causing problem for there residents and a small request of drop kerb is declined cause they want to save a tree that has 3/4 branches sticking out doesn't really look like a tree how does that even make the road look any better. I guess it's true dodgy council you only realise how bad it is when you request something.

They ignore emails obviously got something to hide ..reported many issues online such as anti social behavior ..dumped rubbish and waited a month still no reply or feedback..housing standards totally spineless powerless against landlord..especially Pauline in housing standards team..totally useless and spineless to take action against rogue landlord....Jas Atwell should be sacked totally bent and corrupt never answers emails hides these days to avoid answer public questions ..only appear when he likes to do PR stunts to show how well the council is doing providing good service to public ..my foot most failing and rubbish council in uk ..he needs to be sacked or jailed like the other councillar.

Redbridge is a lovely place to live, however, not so the local authority. It has lots of incompetent and inconsiderate staff. This council has been actively involved like some other local authorities in generating revenues through issuing PCNs. They have ridiculous number of junction boxes and bus stops with CCTVs. For example, just drive through Ley Street where you will find at least 3 CCTVs within 50 - 100 meters of each other. Utterly disgraceful council with no consideration or understanding, especially at a time when many are going through difficult times due to the cost of living. This council should be brought to the attention of Local Government Ombudsman.

Martin O’callaghan the Evil man of Redbridge Council the so called housing officer thinks he’s a god of Redbridge he thinks it’s ok to put me and my child on the street by removing us from the hostel. Then we was in the care of Social service who just kept putting us into hotels to hotel. This is probably one of the most corrupt council going in East London if your left for dead tomorrow due to they negligence they wouldn’t care at all. This council doesn’t deserve no rating at all. I refused a property that was offered to me cause the landlord wanted s3x in return as a rent payment and I told them I can’t take it and instead we been put on the street instead!

I was issued a parking ticket when I had to stop in an emergency to check on my newborn baby. I stopped in a parking bay not in the middle of the road. Before I could even get a ticket the ticket inspector issued me a ticket while I was at the back juggling with my baby. £40.00 is not a problem I have already paid it. But really disappointed with the attitude I even appealed to explain the situation but it was rejected. Come on what is wrong with people these days ? Heartless Robots they all are. One day you will be in the same situation and will be punished for doing the right thing. Greedy Councils only to get from people and not to give anything in return.

Got a parking fine on easter Sunday, attempted to appeal, did not win but was not told that we did not win the appeal, parking fine then doubled, was told to appeal again, so we did to yet again no response, chased it up to then be spoken to with an appalling attitude from the lady on the phone, would not let me have the chance to speak, kept trying to fob me off and kept talking over me. I have now had to pay the £110. A council is supposed to be a public sector organisation with the full intent in helping citizens but it seems to me (and many others reviewing on here) that its not the case and seem to be nothing but profit driven.

Council is no longer taking my recycling bins, for the last few weeks. They have left them full without good reason. Initially we were told a box was contaminated. We cleared that bin and this week again they have not taken it 3 out of the 4 boxes. I am sorry to say, but Redbridge council does not want us to recycle. And we won’t. We will Begin to put everything in normal bins from now on just to keep things hygienic outside of our property. The uncollected boxes is attracting vermin which is not great Talking to my neighbours, same feedback, they have stopped recycling because the boxes are not collected by the council

I received my PCN 25 days late due to the Royal Mail strikes, which means I received it well past the discount period. I was forced to pay double the discount fee at £110 as I only had a couple days left until it went up to £165. Even though I am not responsible for the postal strikes Redbridge council said that as I paid after the discount period they consider this matter closed. How disgusting is that? Even after the whole of the UK was affected by the strikes which was none of our faults, Redbridge council won’t even refund me the £55 extra that I paid. Absolutely disgusting.

My car number plate was cloned, and the cloned car created a penalty charge notice, even after appealing the case the council refused to accept what has happened. I provided a case ref number from the MET, even told them the car in the picture was different pre face lift model, and explained I have since changed the number plate to a private number to put a stop to all this....NOTHING CAN CHANGE THEIR MINDS!!!! They just do not care, and threaten you with letters. I live over two hours away, and haven't even been to Ilford. Evil establishment that does not care about people.

The Redbridge council don't deserve any star. I was force to give them 1 star. The worst council in greater London. However, ironically Council tax is too high. They are good for nothing. Don't answer their phone. If they answer your phone by mistake then they will be so rude that you would feel like your head is going to be exploded in anger. They never tell you their name neither they mention their name in a email. So you can't make complain against them. It's like they all team up to drive the people crazy. Sadly they don't know who pay their salaries.

School Admissions - where are you? Calling the department doesn't work - you select various options and end up being told "go online" and line drops.. You go online but it doesn't solve the problem. Then try calling again, try different options, nothing.. You know (or I hope you do!) that the day after School admissions are posted, hundreds of parents will want to speak with you as they want to be best/most convenient thing for their child. This is your busy period, focus on delivering good service rather than not picking up the phone!

Received a PCN from London Borough of Redbridge Council for ‘entering and stopping at a Box Junction’ on the Cambridge Park junction in Wanstead. I appealed as I had no chance of seeing the end of the Box Junction which seemed bigger than it should have. The council rejected my appeal and I took it to London Tribunals for adjudication who agreed with me and directed the council to cancel the PCN as the Box Junction is not in compliance of TSRGD 2016 and goes beyond the junction of the two roads.

On 13 December, council waste collection services collected about 30 bags of rubbish and dumped them in front of a property in Gordon Road E18 1DW where they were spread by foxes across the footpath and road - a health hazard. Despite requests to the council, no communication was received and the rubbish was still there for three days. UPDATE: Council staff DID respond to my complaint and cleared up the mess on a non-rubbish day. Kudos to them. Stars upgraded from one star to four.

I haven't seen any changes or something that this Council will do for the residents. only thing they put cameras everywhere Penalties and speed bumps but no safe roads as full of potholes. no parking spaces for residents .just money making schemes so they can afford buying new Range Rovers!!!Shame .shame .that might be a sign of Corruption !!!!!!!!!!!!seems like they have their own interest but nothing for the residents.only nice rich areas they look after the rest is a shhthoool.

The worst council I have ever dealt with. Rude Aggresive staff who are not HELPFUL in any way. Everytime you call they say they will call you back and then they dont. All they care about is taking extra council tax every year, moving your banding up and ensuring you go through the worst hell ever to get anything done. Redbridge council you need better , more efficient , helpful staff who sound like they want to be there. Live in Newbury park my whole life , nothing ever changes!

This sign is displayed about 5 metres on the left at the road entrance. This sign is a interdiction sign ! The way how it's displayed looks like someone doesn't know signs must be VISIBLE from all the driver's. If you turning right from the main road you no gone see that sign to easy and on time to avoid this trap set up by the COUNCIL !! MONEY MAKERS because on Google Maps pictures at the place was a strong Cctv scheme ! Shame Redbridge for this unprofessional situation !

Disgraceful council, if you have a problem with your house or street or rat infestation they never respond. If you park for 1 second on a poorly marked road they issue a penalty notice faster than the speed of light. Lived in Redbridge for years and they never ever do anything useful other than issue fines. Maybe they could re-invest the money to clean up the streets but no. Where the money goes is a mystery it's certainly not back in the community.

Been trying to get through to Council Tax for days. The website says lines are open between 8am and 5pm. Absolutely appalling service of education by the local authority. My son has special needs and they believe one size fits all, which has resulting in my child being taken out of education. My personal information was shared without my consent. You have to chase for a response, and you’re just met with excuses of being too busy or in meetings. If you have a SEN child I would avoid moving to this borough at all costs!

Horrible council. All they care is about parking tickets. They are a kind of extortionists. When reported they don't clear the fly tipping. The people who work there can't even speak proper english. The rubbish collection is a joke. They don't have wheelie bins rolled out where all other councils in the country has. Not sure where all the money is being spent. Some of the roads are horrible.

Very Very poor customer services. Recycling sometimes not collected. When talk by phone adviser just disconnected line,but didn't answer on questions. Online parking apply services also poor. Try apply but all time ask specify name. But with name all ok. Every year increasing council tax but quality of services at every year going down. I am ashamed of my council.

Temporary Accommodation at: Shaftesbury Road, Upton Park (behind the houses with the gates new apartments). They then placed Theori Investments TA in 65 Cambridge Park, London E11 2PR. Then they placed Manford Way TA estate in Hainault IG7 (those ones are new built shipping containers opp the primary school with a funny chemical smell). Why leave them empty?

These people have no morals at all. They are telling a pregnant woman to remain in occupation of a property after the tenancy has ended and wait for a eviction notice. That is a total disregard of all decency. In addition the property itself is not suitable for a young woman with a child as it is on the 2nd floor.

There is no queue electronic notification, probably as there is no endeavour or physically no one to answer. Dreadful customer service, the electronic form takes a light year for them to respond to also.
