They would get a 10 if I could make it a -10 (negative ten), meaning they are the best at being the worst. Forget the lack of staff, the quality of the staff is horrible; they are rude pompous morons that select who they want to help. First come first served and the customer is always right are not their policies. If you want to be treated like a dollar sign and spend more time in there then you have them by all means knock yourself out and go there. I took a pair of work boots to be cleaned (did not need new laces nor did I ask for them) all they did was take 2days to replace the laces which had me bending down to tie my shoe every 20 minutes. The boots came back the same. They over charge for insoles and make you step on some foot measuring apparatus to trick you into buy $60+ dollar insoles. Complete rip off and terrible customer service. I’m surprised their still I business. However if you want quality service and don’t want to get roped off visit the store in sunny side queens, on the no. 7 train it’s the 46 st - bliss stop. I took my boots to get cleaned there (with 2 workers in the store and a few customers) y boots were cleaned and came back sparkling in 10 mins. Meanwhile it took the other dirtbags 2days to replace laces. Trust me take a chance and go to queens.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at this location. The location’s manager was obstinate, unhelpful, and lacked empathy. I brought in a pair of classic 9030’s that I have owned for 8 years for resoling and reheeling service. They are in beautiful shape. The manager insisted that Red Wing would only replace the wooden heel with a contemporary rubber heel — something that would indelibly alter my boots. I told the manager repeatedly that I have been able to work with independent cobblers who have not caused any fuss about the fundamental structure of my boots when it comes to reheeling service. Moreover, I emphasized that my boots are a lifetime investment -- something that I care about deeply. He simply responded that “times changed”. I will be going to an independent cobbler instead. I suggest that everyone else do the same. The manager of this location does not share the zeal and passion for Red Wing's products that many customers do, which is immensely disappointing.

The manager receives 5 stars for his service, his employee receives 1 star for the boot cleaning. The manager was very knowledgeable on the proper shoes for different jobs, finding a good fit and general care of the boots. The other employee took my boots for cleaning. Admittedly, they were in pretty rough condition. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but he returned with the boots in minutes, literally minutes. I wish I could post a picture! Still dirty, just drenched in oil. They also have, what I guess is, cleaner dried in the toe protector. There is still electrical tape stuck to the bottom of the shoe. Really guys? The yearly cleaning from Red Wing is free, and still not worth the money or wasted time to go there. From now on I will simply take them to the cleaners like I normally do and pay the $15 for a proper work boot cleaning. The store does have a more limited selection but was very clean and had all the top styles.

Parking lot out in front just for customers. High plus in this neighborhood void of available street parking. Friendly inviting staff. Very knowledgeable and repeatedly willing to answer all of my questions without the pressure to commit to purchase. They sized me and fitted my soles to my exact form. I tried on multiple widths and sizes looking for looser fit as winter will require thicker or double socks. I work outside year round and need my feet dry and warm. They offered free cleaning and services I never heard of from a shoe store. I may update my review on the boots themselves once they perform through a winter. But the store reps and presentation are a win. You will pay for the guarantee. These are not your cheap option work boots, but rather high quality, high comfort, rugged work wear by a dependable company with historic reputation. Highly recommended to everyone willing to take care of your feet while working.

Red Wing is one of the best companies still around and this branch is a excellent example of Red Wings outstanding customer service. I had some boots that needed new soles which I’ve done many times. Although a bit expensive I’ve never had any problems, unlike some of the local spots, and have found it’s worth the extra price. However these soles began to disintegrate almost immediately so I took them back. The clerk politely explained that Red Wing doesn’t guarantee soles but took a look at them anyway and realized that they where obviously defective. I’d only worn them a few times and the treads were still new. He took the time to call his manager and explained the situation The manager approved new soles at no charge. I picked them up a week later with no problems. My thanks to the staff and management.

This is the worst Service I have ever got at a red wing store. I brought my boots in to have a tough toe installed. The sales associate remove my laces and told me they would clean the boots before putting the tough toe on. The following day when I go to pick my boots up, the sales associate attempted to return my boots back to me uncleaned and without any laces. When I confronted her about it she tried to make an excuse but the fact of the matter is you sell work boots. No one can work without shoe laces. If I bring them in with shoe laces they should be returned with shoe laces. Extremely poor customer service and I am so unhappy with my experience here. I will not be returning.

They stole my boots!! I came in for a resolve with my RW Moc Toe boots that are limited edition and not made anymore. The employee behind the counter was interested in them and asked a million questions about the boots that had nothing to do with a resole. They convinced me to “not send the boots to Red Wing HQ due to it taking 4-5 months” but instead send it through them to a “local cobbler” After 4-5 weeks I called (the shoes were supposed to be done in 2 weeks) to find out not only are my boots missing but they’ve been supposedly trying to call me non stop for weeks. Liars and thieves.

I went to Red Wing Shoes at 345 4th Ave. in Brooklyn today, looking to purchase a pair of boots for work. A salesman, named Obren came to help me. I have to say that the customer service I received from Obren was so outstanding that I’m giving him a review here so that his employer knows what an asset Obren is to their company. You just don’t find the kind of service I received anywhere, anymore. It was refreshing, and I feel that such customer service should be recognized. I want his employer to know how grateful I was for Obren’s knowledge of their products. Thanks again Obren!

I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed my experiences with the folks at the Red Wing store in Brooklyn. Both my wife and I have bought awesome boots in the store. In one case, Q - who is a an absolute star when it comes to customer service - went out of his way to procure for me a limited edition pair of "Irish Setter" mocs, which are super hard to find. These guys are the best, and you should go check out what the store has to offer!

Absolutely excellent service provided by Foued Zaied. He was educational, kind and super helpful. He has ensured that I always come back to him for all my shoe/boot needs. I have been to other locations and the service with Mr. Zaied is above and beyond and incomparable. Extremely Happy Customer, he is the standard of what all your locations should aspire to be!

Limited selection, severe lack of staff, only two people. When asking basic questions, was told to look at their catalog online for info. Staff was unwilling to render assistance, and his coworker or boss was busy with his face stuck to his phone. Limited parking options. Avoid this place like the plague, order online for less hassle.

I got The individualized attention that I required for my complicated foot problems. I was scanned measured in able to buy the best pair of work boots I've ever had since I've been in the trades! Q is an awesome sales rep who won't sell you stuff you don't need and is highly knowledgeable about work boots according to trade!!!!!!

  • Jesus Rolon

Very nice store, poor costumer service. No mention of their care service on the boots, I only know because I heard it from another costumer. When people pay over 200 dollars for boots they should be treated with courtesy and attention. It was only me and one more costumer at the store with 2 associates, figure it out.

Incredibly small parking lot out front. Relatively small location, but great selection. Friendly, and very knowledgeable staff. The tall guy that helped me out was a pleasure to work with. Incredibly informative and helpful. Never felt pressured to purchase anything either. A+ customer service!!

I had a great time at this store, the staff was awesome and super friendly and approachable. Any questions I had they were more than willing to help answer them and went out of their way to provide me a great customer service experience. I would definitely recommend people stop by.

Rude, bad service from a guy who I think is the manager. The store was closing and he let me know that I have 5 mins. I think it’s because I started looking at boots that weren’t $200. Lol. If you respect yourself, don’t go here. They should shut this Red Wings location down.

I went too change a pair of booths for a different size an the guy's in the store was very professional, I ended up buying a extra pair of booths for work. They did not have my size but the guy at the register order me the size that I need. I was grateful for his help.

Went in for women's steel toed boots. Only 3 pairs to choose from, but that was expected. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. They even entertained my 2yo daughter while I tried the boots on. I got cozy boots and had a great experience.

The shoes are ok, you can definitely get more versatile/comfortable/interesting boots from other brands. But the reason for the 2 starts is that the employees here are terrible. The men's shoes have much more options and colors than the

Read the reviews so was a bit suspect. Nothing but good things in my experience. Called ahead of time to ask about workboot models and sizes. The guy checked - said they didn't have my size but had other, similar, workboots available.

Had a problem with a new work boot and they graciously took them back. So after the return I tried on and bought another boot. The first pair I bought are excellent waiting to see if the new ones are just as good. Great place.

My spouse pretty much knew what he wanted, so selection was easy. Made the request of the very kind woman; she gave him the shoes to try; fit great/looked great; done. Nice experience.

  • Michael Mack

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The managers and employees took their time to make sure that I found exactly what I was looking for. Quality footwear for a reasonable price.

  • Eric Bonilla

The young lady who helped me was very helpful even with multiple customers in the store. Her product knowledge was excellent. I'm just upset I didnt ask her name to post it.

Unfortunately had a terrible experience at this store. The sales rep was either incompetent or straight up lied to me :/ TLDR: go to the store in Manhattan.

  • Jason Pierce

Great selection of work boots for any purpose. Hats, gloves, belts etc. They printed out a receipt from a year ago for me that was misplaced.

  • Mordechai Karp

They don't have a huge selection of their casual styles in the store, it's mostly their work boots. Staff are really nice and helpful

Red Wings are amazing but this location blows. Do yourself a favor and go to the one in Queens.
