What a hidden gem, an absolute treasure. Great access to the rainforest to experience it in a close proximity. You wouldn't know the size of the walking and viewing platforms from outside. They are huge and long, but hidden inside the rainforest. Reasonable number of parking available. Toilets are located opposite side of the Rainforest gallery. Few benches to sit and relax. Initial section of the gallery is wheelchair accessible, however if you want to cover the whole gallery, you need to walk down the stairs. Carefully supervise the kids in the parking area, it gets messy during busy periods. A must stopover if you are visiting this region or the Mt Donna Boang (snow fields, another great spot).

The Rainforest Gallery is a short walk. 15 minutes max if you aren't stopping for photos. The path is all boardwalk so don't worry about getting your clothes or footwear muddy. Defs take your camera - the rain forest is beautiful, lush, and great for adding to your social media etc! Its not a trek as such, so take your time, there's a limited amount of parking, Id suggest going at off peak times. The area could get easily crowded by a small bus of tourists. There is a creepy looking rundown toilet block across the road. I took pics of it, because I take pics of everything, haha. Grab a coffee in Warburton and go up after brekky. You won't regret it!

I went along to the Rainforest Gallery walk on the Sunday of a long weekend, and really enjoyed the walk. The road up is long and winding, and partially washed out. Traffic measures are in place, so it's not a huge delay. The car park isn't enormous, but it's adequate, and there are a couple of accessible long-drop toilets for those who didn't stop in town. The tree top walk section is right there, for those who just want to take a quick walk. The longer loop is good, but has a lot of metal stairs which can be tough on little legs. The walk itself is short, but beautiful. Highly recommend

A stunning place to visit especially if you have overseas guests. You will be in the midst of the beautiful old forest tree canopy with many graduated stairs going down to the bubbling stream at the bottom. You will be on the metal structure walk the whole way so flat shoes or boots are a must as is warm clothing in winter. As it’s a national park dogs are not allowed and quite frankly wouldn’t be comfortable walking on the metal grates anyway. You also need to be able bodied as there are many stairs to walk down and up again. Prams would not be suitable. I’d highly recommend the visit as it’s a Little gem of a walk(20 min).

Parking on the roadside under the trees. This place have a feeling of something like "ancient". A dazzling and amazing sight to the forest. On the top level, you are in the canopy level of the forest, while at the other path leads you to the ground floor. A quick stream passes at the end, fill you with energy if you keep listening to the sound of falling water. Many-many signs in connection with education about the forest. Keep it, preserve it! A tranquil place to visit. There is a viewing platform accessed straight from the road which is suitable for prams/wheelchairs. To experience the surrounding nature, there is a 15 minute walk through the rainforest which was very refreshing. There is also a little waterfall along the way. There are steps (some are steep) to go down to the walking track which is not suitable for prams/wheelchairs. After visiting the Rainforest Gallery, it is a 9km drive to Mt Donna Buang summit.

About 30mins from the town of Warburton. The drive itself is half the wonder. The viewing platform is directly off the carpark. Below you will find a man-made walking track which loops around to the start. Very cool temp at the base of the forest, and lots of vegetation with a creek flowing through. Toilets on site (no flush, just pipe straight down from the toilet), and the basins were not working. Parking is limited.

A short walk on the forest after driving down from Mount Donna Buang. Here you will see the old cold climate tropical forest growing layer by layer & some of the dead trees provided nutrition for the young tree to continue growing. There are limited parking space & the walk to the forest is within short distance from the parking. Suggest to spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour here to view around the forest.

First visit to this place. It offers 2 options including a lookout to enjoy the forest canopy and a trail to enjoy the deep environment of forest. We didnt go to the trail as we were too tired but the lookout had given us great experience of the forest. Very recommended for people to enjoy the trail and deep forest. Plenty of healing sound inside it. Definetely returning to spot.

A lovely place for nature lovers. Must appreciate the efforts taken by authorities to make it so easy for visitors to have a close view of the rainforest with the beautiful Yarra river which runs here as a mountain stream. Lush green fern varieties make the place so serene and full of life.

This was a wonderful place to visit. Mid week during school hours. So quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful walk trail....yes there are stairs. If you need an easy walk no stairs you can go to Redwood Forrest up the road. Loved this place and the energy was so peaceful.

Omg so underrated! Short 15 min walk for us and beautiful boardwalk across the trees including a top view of the rainforest! Def make a stop here before your trip to Mt Donna Buang Observation Tower! There is unmarked parking right by the side of the road and the steps go down the road and can be easily missed! Toilets also available

Avoid going during public holidays as getting through Warburton itself is a rush but once there it's a lovely short walk around the Rainforest Gallery. The sound of water and walking around Rainforest is so peaceful and beautiful. A must visit if you are in Warburton.

A quick 20 minute loop (350 metres) takes u along the tall Mountain Ash and Myrtle Beech trees that date back 400 years!! There are a few viewing platforms to see the waterfall.. Please note that apart from the levelled 40 meter viewing platform, this rainforest gallery is not suitable for strollers, prams and wheelchairs.

Absolutely one of my favorite spots I've visited in the years of doing road trips. The way the trees were planted in such beautiful order was absolutely mesmorizing. When you're standing in the middle, you can look in any direction and see beautiful straight lines. Great for those like me who are slight perfectionists!

Beautiful area with lush ferns in a rainforest setting. The walk is short but so worth it. I'm a sucker for stunning nature and this point did not disappoint. It has a serene pretty vibe. There's a lovely creek with a "small waterfall" feel. It was nice to just listen to the water streeming and gaze around

It’s amazing! When we walked in the gallery, there are so many wonderful views around us. We can see a great many old trees and all kinds of plants in the rainforest! It’s an old growth, cool temperature rainforest and an old wild place! I love the Rainforest Gallery so much! It is definitely worth going!

We have driven past many times and never even noticed let alone stopped here untill last weekend. Kids and hubby were both able to do it was a 20 minute easy walk around. Stunning trees and first to walk through probably not the best to go on the lookout if you're afraid of heights but we loved it!

One and half hour drive from south east Melbourne. 10 km away from the Warburton town. Easy drive and parking. Easy level of rainforest walking, suitable for kids and elderly! In the town there is a great picnic area besides the river and with BBQ facility. Nice to have a day off with family. More

What a beautiful place! We walked the gangway but didn't venture down below but even from up top it was amazing. Probably not for anyone scared of heights, as you are a way up and the gangway does move a little, but the views were worth it!

Lovely little stop-off on your way to/from the summit. There's a short walkway, and a longer one for those who don't mind the stairs. Both very recommended, huge gorgeous trees on all sides, and a beautiful stream. Enjoy all that lovely oxygen. Take only photos, leave only footprints!

A magical place! An easy stroll amongst the forrest canopy that then leads you down into the undergrowth and further up to a beautiful mountain stream. Family friendly, you can definitely take your children on this walk. Take your time, you can easily spend an hour here.

Currently accessible via Donna Buang Rd. Acheron Way is closed just above the toilets. The walk takes less than 20 minutes with a wheelchair accessible lookout just before the walk starts. Highly recommended for all levels of fitness and very kid/toddler friendly.

A beautiful experience of the rainforest from many levels. Lots of steps up and down but the large lookout tower in the canopy has easy flat access straight from the carpark.

Very unique experience and a must visit place if you are traveling nearby. A comfortable 30 minutes walk around the gallery. Good viewing galleries. Lots of parking facilities. There is toilet facility near the car parking but it was not well maintained.

Quite an accessable trail as you are walking on a boardwalk hence available for all ages. There is also a canopy that overlooks 15m over the ground for some nice views. Although this rainforest looks fairly plain and doesn't have a main attractive piece

Lovely place! Super peaceful and it's short enough so all the family can enjoy. Not the place if you are looking for a long walk as it only takes 10-20 minutes to finish the circuit. Good place to take pictures however!

A nice and easy bush walk for all ages especially young ones. Total time 10-30 mins. Beautiful views of rain forest like trees and streams. The lookout stage is also exciting with a view of 15 metres above ground.

Beautiful nature walk. Toilet near by.. best to only do this walk of you are able to walk up and down stairs. Viewing platform was closed when i went. So at that point there was no wheel chair acsessable area.

Sadly ground level walking track of the gallery was closed due to weather/covid conditions at the moment. However the canopy platform is fully accessible and worth a gaze into the beauty that nature provides.

Such a pleasant and peaceful place to take a walk. Its one of those hidden places in Melbourne not known to many people. It took us about 20-30 mins to do the circuit walk.
