On Friday November 19th about 10 minutes before this business closed for the day, I called in a panic. The QNAP server I had purchased there about 5 and a half years earlier had failed - it suddenly wouldn't boot; no POST. I had first contacted the manufacturer directly to no avail; they offered zero helpful troubleshooting advice - and in fact stated that's about the life expectancy of the unit, they don't have parts for it, and I should look at replacement options. When Scott Nellis answered the phone at RBC, he was immediately much more positive and helpful than QNAP's US-based tech support. He made helpful suggestions about resetting the CMOS, reseating the RAM modules, and so on. Knowing I needed a migration-capable replacement server ASAP, and RBC couldn't get one until Wednesday, Scott even checked the local competitors for inventory. Fast forward a few weeks of holiday breaks later and today I got an e-mail from Scott - who has kept me up-to-date throughout the repair process - that it has been successful - the DOM has been successfully flashed, and the QTS operating system restored. For all of the time on the phone - including after hours, the email updates, bench time, parts needed, not to mention the expertise and tools to wield them I was charged $90 before taxes. This is a pittance compared to the quality of professional service I have received - both from a technical and from a customer service perspective. Having a server to house all your precious family photographs, important work backups, multimedia and personal files is really nice. Even when backed up online, its failure is disastrous. Having professionals like Scott and Rob at RBC who are exceptionally responsive, and capable, lets me rest easier. I cannot say thank you enough for the truly extraordinary series of events that took place here. I STRONGLY recommend RBC to anyone looking for technology products or services they offer for their home or business.

Holy cruddy mermaid fins a slappin... These people are the best in Ottawa. Went there to build and transfer tower using new 4090 and wow they saved everything but the old 4tb HDD and was able to use my 8tb HDD. Plus my 1tb boot drive. All for 60 or 70 Canadian Yen. Will always go back for help. Went back again on a Friday halfway through the day for full upgrade... Boom... The knocked it right out of the park. These guys are the ultimate best I'll ever see. Everyone else is hot garbage in comparison to rb computing. Wow is an understatement. Update number 1: Went for yet another case upgrade.. To a super tower Thermaltake 900 to house everything and they went into beast mode to welcome the challenges ahead... I know they will do another great job. 20 out of 5 stars... Ultra amazing team!! Honestly the best customer Service in Canada. They are so much better than Canada Computers by a Thousand Miles. The products are priced so much more fairly than other retailers and at the end of the day they are not charging an Arm or Leg for their product. For instance I bought the 3 Pack Lian Li Uni Fans for $93.00 before tax and the same product was selling at Canada Computers for $139.99, how ridiculous is that. On top of that Rob is great with customer service. For items I backordered, Rob was always willing to give me an update without any hassle what so ever. The only downside is that they are a smaller retailer so you most likely might have to back order, but honestly the wait is worth it given the pricing and WONDERFUL customer Service. 10/10.

I phoned twice and spoke with customer service (same gentleman). On my first call, he was extremely polite, courtesy and patient. He was willing to wait on the phone for me as I placed my preorder for the 5900x. His patience is a true testament to his commitment to customers. He was very polite, actively listened and provided me with affirmation. Compared to other stores, this gentleman was able to address my questions and gave me the assurance that I needed. His customer service and people skills are astounding and it was such a pleasure to be able to speak with him. Thanks for everything Rob, I appreciate it!

Wow! These guys went above and beyond and further still... I left a voicemail outside of office hours (around 7pm) to inquire about my order. They replied within hours at 10.30pm by email. When I picked up my order they helped me with a minor issue on a product I didn't even purchase at their store, free of charge. They were kind and pleasant, and chatted with me while they worked on my issue, despite it keeping them back a few minutes beyond their closing time. Great people, great prices and local - I'm very impressed :)

Placed an order that was supposed to be received quickly, but holiday shipping slowed things down. I messaged Rob every day, sometimes multiple times per day to get updates on my order and he always answered quickly and respectfully. I ended up finding stock elsewhere, and Rob canceled my order no questions asked and apologized for the delay on their end (even though it was not their fault). Will 100% look here again for all of my future PC part purchases. Their customer service really is next to none.

I placed an order from ShopRBC last week, but needed to cancel because I no longer needed the product. Rob has been phenomenal and extremely responsive. Although, I have only found out about their store a week ago, this is definitely leaves a fantastic impression and would absolutely order from them when I need more PC parts in the future! Excellent customer service and outstanding troubleshooting. If you have any issues with your product, they'll sort it out. I bought a CPU here and thought it was faulty because it wasn't behaving as expected with my ram. I called the manufacturer or my CPU, ram, and motherboard and they all said my CPU was broken. I contacted customer service at rbc and after a few short emails they figured out what my problem was. There was no damaged component!

I at first was not impressed by this company when my order took a while to ship, but to give them the benefit of the doubt most shipping is delayed due to covid related issues. I was however blown away when I sent out a email to support and got a response within 15 minutes! No company I have ever sent a email too has ever been that fast, great job RB computing and I do recommend if you are looking for a great pc parts retailer in Ontario!

I've spec'd three desktops over several years and had RB Computing assemble them for me. In every case, they have been responsive to my needs and questions, and provided excellent advice. How they manage to route all the cabling so neatly is beyond me. Their charges are more than fair — low in fact in my experience. I recommend them highly. I couldn't recommend RBC enough. You might pay a little more than their bigger competitors some of the time, but you get far better service and you're supporting a small Canadian business. It's quick and you can tell they care about their customers. I've bought 2 CPUs from them and I will definitely be getting my computer parts from them in the future.
