First of all, they never pick up the phone or return messages at this Publix Pharmacy. Claude is the rudest customer service person I've ever dealt with. Right after I got out of the hospital and had to pick up prescriptions, I asked him to please put on a mask and he refused and wouldn't even move 6 ft away so I could place my payment method on the counter to check out (I was wearing a mask; I was feeling particularly vulnerable and emotional, so why not just be nice and do it??). I'm in heart failure, and I don't think I should feel unsafe while picking up prescriptions. They said they moved all my prescriptions over to the other Publix Pharmacy I switched to, and they lied and I've been dealing with their mess for over a month, and again, they won't even pick up the phone. The line is almost always 10+ minutes, especially if Claude is working. I love Publix, but I've been treated so badlyi don't even go there to shop anymore. It's hard enough being terminally ill; this pharmacy just makes it more stressful.
I had been using this pharmacy for years for my family. Just too many mistakes. I always made sure I ordered my refills a good week in advance knowing how ridiculously long it takes them to refill it. The last time was the last straw for me. This refill was important as doses cannot be skipped, safely. They knew this. When I arrived to pick it up a week after I ordered it, it wasn’t there. All they would say is that they never got it in. This was pre-pandemic so not a supply issue. They gave me no reason and no apology- just a stoic response to my panic. I had to beg the pharmacist to find some supply at another location. They said they Normandy store had a few pills to hold me over so I had to trek out there AND because I picked it up out there I had to get the rest of that refill ( two days later) from there as well!! They said I could not get the rest of a refill at a different location?!? Awful service. Not in keeping with the Publix moto for impeccable service. Great store, but find another pharmacy.
I changed to another pharmacy because they filled my prescription out of order, so I lost a prescription that was very important to me and would not put it back in their system after they acknowledged what they had done. I was so careful with the two prescriptions that I had because my long time Doctor had retired and I had not found another one that I liked. So they defrauded me out of a prescription that was a viable/legal prescription because they let the earliest one expire. I had called to make sure this was not done but it still happened. This was a very big mistake on their part. Otherwise, I had used this pharmacy for years without any problems. It was enough for me to change, plus, I wanted to drive up, did not like the waiting at times. This is such a popular and busy publix. Parking is a hassle, too. So, since I was royally upset with them I changed to another pharmacy. Something should have been done to rectify their error but I got no help in that regard.
I have been using this pharmacy for a few years now, and typically have relatively good experiences, aside from one person. Tonight's experience has left me livid. He was very short with me and annoyed before I opened my mouth. He starts asking the usual questions backwards, which was confusing, but I follow along. I then say that I have a new Good Rx card and asked if he needed that info, which was ignored. Then he grabs the medication and asks me about some other discount card. He says more confusing things, and when I try to break it down to be sure I'm understanding him, he paused and stared at me like I was the dumbest person on the planet... He was very rude and I almost went off on him, but decided I'd be an adult about it, even if he couldn't be. Genuinely pissed and frustrated. Why treat patients so poorly? Sorry you had to do your job?.. and yes, this one experience was bad enough that it negates many other harmless experiences..
Prices are ok for retail pharmacy but space is so crowded and there are usually a line. Accuracy has been good but customer service is not that personable. Pharmacist keeps his/her head down with no interaction with customers. Pharmacy techs are good but limited in knowledge and responsibility. I’ve been going there for 2/3 years and have never had the pharmacist look up. Not blaming the pharmacist but the pressure the amount of business verses staffing and space must be tremendous. In general, Pharmacists are put in the unenviable position of balancing patients welfare with the business’s need for low cost and high volume. Their stocking is pretty good so they have what I require on the shelf. I use the Publix app to keep track of my prescriptions and that works well and interfaces well with the pharmacy. I moved from CVS and the only thing I miss is the drive through. Another point is that Publix does well interfacing with my insurance.
Don't expect good service or timely service from the pharmacy at all. I came here out of convenience because I had shopping to do, but if you're not planning on shopping for an hour or more, go somewhere else. If they tell you 20 minutes expect at least an hour or more. They said my prescription would be available on the 23rd, because I already had a previous one out while I dropped off a different prescription. I asked if I could come pick it up at that time so when I came back it was not only unavailable but they had absolutely no record of it. So why keep my prescription slip? I don't understand? In summary, they are very unprofessional here and will take FOREVER while chit-chatting and tell you whatever you want to hear including COMPLETELY unrealistic wait times in order to avoid actually doing a decent job. My 20 minutes just became 45 as of right now.
I have no idea how the the grocery portion of this Publix is so good, but the pharmacy department is so incompetent. I have only been using this pharmacy for the past 6 months but every time I get a new prescription or refill(s) there are issues. As long as the lines were at the Walmart pharmacy, I never had issues or mixups with my prescriptions (and they didn’t yell out the names of my prescriptions in front of other customers like this location does.) On top of the inconveniences, and sometimes potentially dangerous mistakes, they are rude, in particular the assistant pharmacy manager. This isn’t a reflection on the grocery side, but I will have to return to Walmart for my pharmaceutical needs.
Very un-Publix-y experience. Shopping was not a pleasure. *This is just for the pharmacy, not the store (The store is excellent.)* Super disappointed in their service today. The women (only one without a mask in the pharmacy, so clearly not a very considerate person), forgot to enter my order. I waited over an hour to find out she forgot. No apology. No ownership in the error. Wouldn’t even make eye contact. Then she hid behind the shelves and had someone else come talk to me. That employee was also extremely dismissive. I’ve already transferred my prescriptions to a different pharmacy.
I generally avoid this Publix pharmacy because the customer service is so bad. There is always 8 or more people behind the counter but no one is ever able to answer the phone or acknowledge you once you’ve walked up to drop off/pick up. Three times now I’ve dropped off a prescription, only to have them call me 2 hours later and tell me they don’t have it. This pharmacy is a total mess, avoid them at all costs. If you need a Publix pharmacy though the Riverside one is super efficient and everyone is so helpful.
Only Publix pharmacy in Duval I've found claiming they can't and won't give out quantity or availability over the phone. Not once but three times. Snotty attitude when I explained I regularly check before driving when my normal pharmacy is out, but others do so as politely as any other Publix expected experience. How the staff engages the community is a sign whether the Pharmacist needs to address his/her house issues or get a different position.
They can never manage a line of more than 4 people. Not necessarily rude, but not polite either. I’ve been given the wrong medication on at least 2 different occasions. One of my medications has the same rebate attached each time and somehow it blows their minds every time. Today was the last straw, as I waited 45 minutes for a prescription and was told to come back the next day. Please go somewhere else if you can!!
I visited this Publix with my husband for his Covid shot and the pharmacy staff could not have been nicer and more helpful! They greeted us the moment we walked in, gave us the paperwork and seated us. It was a short time before they called him for his shot. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend this pharmacy and staff!!
I have had problems with my medications in the past where pharmacies wouldn't carry or had problems keeping my meds in stock. Since moving my prescriptions to Publix my issues have been resolved. The pharmacist and the pharmacist techs at the pharmacy at the Publix on Roosevelt are friendly, curtious, and helpful.
SENT ME HOME WITH SOMEONE ELSE'S PRESCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE. THE STAFF IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND DID NOTHING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE OTHER THAN GIVING ME MY CORRECT PRESCRIPTION WHEN I WENT BACK!? I EASILY COULD HAVE ACCIDENTALLY TAKEN THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION FROM THIS MISTAKE?
I don't understand how Publix has great customer service , except for the pharmacy. Went to fill a prescription something that simple and ended up going to another location because I was met with such rudeness. Someone needs to check on this department.
This Publix has tons of options, it gets a little overwhelming after visiting my smaller neighborhood Publix. The store has everything you need and more. I needed some help finding some items and was promptly and friendly assisted.
So far it has been one problem after another. It's as if they are so busy even the smallest of details is overlooked. Issues I thought were rectified still required my input to get it filled. Nothing has been on time yet.
Long lines! parking was good. high prices. no beards.
Always efficient and very polite to me!
Unprofessional, and rude employees.
Much Better parking vs riverside
Impossible to get ahold of.
Always great!
