I took my older dog here for a year or two. Thought everything was fine - prices were ok, they seemed ok- until I adopted a puppy. They were AWFUL and it became clear they don’t care about individual dogs or take their work very seriously. I explicitly told them I wanted my Puppy to receive any and all suggested vaccines and she would go to daycare sometimes and the dog park almost every day. I am almost certain I mentioned Bordetella specifically. Guess what? Months later, after going to the dog park, etc, a day care informs she she never received this vaccine. I should have double checked myself on her records, but trusted the vet and am a busy person. When confronted, they assumed no responsibility. Bordetella is a standard vaccine! I was so upset my puppy (who was a rescue, a stray, underweight with other things going on) had been put at such risk! Also, my puppy had worms. They treated her first without doing a fecal test despite my questioning- turns out they treated her for the wrong worms. She was treated with 3 different medications over several months and it got pretty bad- she was really sick at times and grew increasingly thin, and I found a worm ON MY SOFA. I was doing my best to advocate for the health of my dog, but it felt like they did not care. They were literally trying different medications to see what would work rather than correctly identifying visible worms in one of the many fecal samples I collected. They told me “it can be difficult to tell what kind of worm it is.” Can a trained vet not look at a 4” long worm under a microscope and know how to treat a dog? I think they’re a father/son practice. When we visited, it was clear the father had not taken the time to pull up her chart and even pretend he knew what was going on with the dog. He asked ME what vaccinations she had. Are you kidding me?
In mid-July I took my dog in for a wash and noticed they were giving away a grey cat that was caged in the reception area with a sign stating the injury to it's neck was a result of mange. After picking my dog up and taking him home, he started scratching himself which I paid no mind to until the next day when I noticed that he scratched himself RAW. I brought him back to the clinic and asked if what he had was mange. They assured me it was not mange but a "hot spot". He was prescribed antibotics for 2 weeks which did not work and the mange spread- all over his back (hair started falling out) on his legs and over his eye. I called and notified the vet that his condition didn't appear to be getting better and was told to give him benedryl for the itching. I expressed my disappointment to the vet for his rushed diagnosis and was told to come in and he would waive the fees of the visit. When we got to the clinic, I was told that it was indeed mange and he was prescribed more antibotics and the vet suggested taking a culture "to see if the antibotics that he prescribed were indeed the right ones". The visit came up to $450-- AFTER BEING TOLD THAT THE VISIT FEES WOULD BE WAIVED. Not only that, but I feel like I should at least get a credit in the amount of the last visit ($270) since his condition ended up not being a hot spot, but instead mange-- like I mentioned. My dog has been going to the clinic for almost 4 years, and I guess I keep returning because it's the only one in my area. If anyone could recommend another clinic close to Eastern Parkway/Grand Army Plaza, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
TW GRAPHIC IMAGES Follow up: Dr. Silverman has gone ahead to tell me that because of how “rare” these situations are he will NOT be notifying his patients or the risks of these things falling out, so here’s me doing the warning for you, I’m so disappointed, I looked for month too find the office that will take care of my cat, I went to PPAC for my kitten to get spayed and microchipped. After her appt she did not go back to normal in the time frame that I was told she would. She was wearing a a surgical jacket that covered her entire body outs side of her legs. On the 10th day I took it off we she as wincing in pain, I was doing the regular check of the incision site and brushing out her fur that fell flat when she cried when I touched her back, I felt something hard and my cats microchip was sticking out of her back! She was crying, so loudly and I ended up pulling it out before she calmed down. For the amount of money that I paid, I can’t believe they did something like this and when I called, a young lady named Raquel had the audacity to tell me “I wish you had notified us sooner,” like it was my fault the kitten was in a protecting surgical coat and it’s my responsibility to make sure her implant doesn’t fall out! Apparently this is a once in a blue moon situation but they still should have let me know that this was possible in the first place or my cat could have gotten infected and died!
My family had been taking our pets here for at least 20 years and we always had such a great experience. Dr. Silverman was wonderful with our dogs and was there in our first dog's final moments of life. Our second dog had a bad injury where she was run over by a car as a puppy & everyone at PP Animal Clinic was so wonderful with her. For the past 10 years we brought our cats here who were very wild in the examining room- Dr. Quim certainly endured some terror from them. However in the final years both of our cats became very sick, one did one year before the other & we were very disappointed that it wasn't until they were on the verge of death that they were able to detect the cancer. I felt they neglected very obvious dangerous signs of poor health until finally we brought my second cat to another vet who sent us to an emergency hospital where we were told our cat had cancer pretty much throughout his entire body. This was news to us because at PP Animal Clinic they told us our cat probably had a mass in his stomach that just needed to pass. Certainly a bittersweet experience here, but apart from those unfortunate days at the end of our cats lives, the staff and doctors were always wonderful. I just felt it important to share this and hopefully encourage some further inspection in a situation like this in the future!
We’ve been bouncing between different vet chains in the area since we rescued our 13 year old Yorkie in 2020. I was becoming disillusioned as Bond Vet and Animal Kind were more focused on charging your card than counseling or discussing care; they both suggested expensive diagnostics that totally distracted from the main issue our dog had: his behavior changed likely due to Dementia—CCD. When our pup stopped eating, I called PPAC. The receptionist thoughtfully listened to my concerns and she was able to squeeze us in an appointment despite their overbooked schedule. Dr. N Silverman had exceptional bedside manner and let us be present in the room during the entire exam and eval—which the other vets never allowed since 2020. I am a medical professional myself and he answered all my questions in a professional and thorough manner offering sensible options and reasonable alternatives. He also took the time to discuss end of life care anticipating when the time may come… Overall, I appreciated the small business attentiveness and rational-humane approach that is so hard to find these days. We will not go anywhere else in the future.
My dog and I made the move from Atlanta to Brooklyn and his anxiety shot through the roof. We were sending him to training and had to book a vet appointment fairly quickly, and Prospect Park Animal Clinic had great reviews and also great hours that allowed us to get an appointment. I told the person that answered the phone that my dog was really high anxiety and has issues with strangers. She did not seem put off at all, just told me what to do before we walked into the office. Once we got to the office, the vet and technician knew about my dogs issues and were very patient. As in past vet visits, we left the room to allow them to perform the check up. There was never an instance that they seemed nervous or weary of my dog and their biggest concern was that the dog didn't hurt himself. Once they were done, they brought him out and sat down and answered all of our questions. I was so nervous and the staff simply being patient with not only my dog, but with me made the experience better than I expected. I am happy that we went to Prospect Park Animal Clinic, and we will continue to go to them. Thank you!!
Dr. Silverman and his group have been our vet for 23 years. They are kind, professional, patient and most important loving. They never forget the pet is the patient . They take the time to learn each patient needs. Abby was our adventurous one it not be unusual to find her in the lab or with a different doctor. Blue had a fear of doctors until Dr. Nick and Raquel built a relationship with him. Now he jumps into the cab and does not look back when they come to get him. If someone needs surgery it always explained throughly to you. The doctors answer all questions as if your pet was theirs. They return telephone calls immediately. I wish my doctor did that. We now live in Bay Ridge , but no matter we live they will always be our vet. They even have a gum ball machine filled with treats a favorite with our gang. Although chubby Becca doesn’t think it fair she gets weighed after getting treats. We love both Drs. Silvermans and their staff. Blue would go anywhere with Raquel
I took my puppy to them and my initial visit went well. Although I found it strange that a vet couldn’t tell me what was the proper amount to feed my new puppy I still liked her. When having to set up my second visit I was told I was not able to see that vet again as she only volunteer and so my next visit would be with a complete stranger. Who felt like just that he had no info for me he didn’t even know our info as if we never came there and was just so cold. Since I have a large breed that keeps growing a lot I had to bring him monthly to get him weighed and the reception was rude, judgmental and just plain nasty for our last visit. The space is way to small for people coming out and people waiting to be seen . Not all walks of life get along with each other and they could care less about interaction with other pet owners. I have decided to leave and never look back and am glad we did because we found a very compassionate and loving place to take our big guy.
Came here for the first time with my pup. I had to reschedule my appointment for a later time the day before and when I had called to say I was running late, they told me that I was already late so my initial appointment was never scheduled to begin with. We waited for a while which was understandable, they have treats for your pup while you wait. When they called us, I thought the vet would do a more thorough check up on my dog considering he hasn't been to the vet in 2 years and he is only 2 years and 3 months old. They did his shots and drew his blood to test for heartworms. Everything was too quick and we were out of there in about 15 minutes. I felt like the vet didn't really care to build a relationship with my dog. 15 minutes later we were charged $385, which would be fine if I felt like my baby was getting better service. Going to another vet.
It's taken me too long to write this review! This is the best veterinarian in New York City. Dr. Silverman is amazing. He is calm, collected, knowledgeable, and treated my dog with such care. Lucy had knee surgery a year ago with Dr. Silverman. Beforehand, I spent hours researching the best option for surgery because it was an expensive (and necessary) operation. I was also nervous about having just any vet put her under. Dr. Silverman calmed my fears -- and he also performed a meticulous surgery on Lucy while the staff took incredible care of her while she stayed overnight. She recovered exactly as described to me. Took her about 1-2 weeks to start walking on it again and she was running on it by about 6-8 weeks out. Today, you'd never know she had a problem at all. On top of all this, their prices are very fair. I highly recommend this vet!
I've been seeing Dr. Silverman and team for about 8 years - they're very nice and caring people. They are honest, and never try to sell you more services for your pet. More recently, Nick Silverman (son) performed surgery on my pup to remove a cancerous tumor, and he was very informative, honest and gentle with me. He let me know exactly what to expect, and answered my calls and emails quickly. I was very impressed by my dog's recovery, and how small his scar is! It went from 5-6" to just 1"! In addition, the cost of the surgery was more than 7x cheaper than the emergency clinic where my dog already goes often to see his oncologist. I couldn't be happier to have gotten such quality care - and on top of that, I don't feel like my finances are in peril. I recommend them without any reservation!
I have been searching for a place to have as a local vet and also to spay my puppy. Every other vet in the area tried to get me to come in an extra appointment and pay for a vet visit and blood work beforehand. She has had all of her shots, but at a different vet who is great and honest but works alone and I don't feel comfortable having no extra hands on deck for her spaying. This receptionist was the first honest one that -before I even asked - said that blood work was for dogs that usually had preexisting conditions or were over the age of 5 years and that a puppy should not need it. I'm really impressed with their honesty. Also she quoted microchipping as half the cost of other local vets. If I'm charged some exorbitant fee I will update but so far I am extremely impressed!
We had a great first experience! We just adopted an 8 year old dog and took him in for his first vet visit. Even though he's reactive to other dogs on a leash, the visit went smoothly! Rachel was super helpful in setting up the appointment and finding a time slot without other dogs before us. We were very happy with the visit itself -- no wait when we showed up for our time slot. Dr. Anderson took plenty of time to discuss all of our concerns and helped us understand the treatment options. Our dog was a happy boy when he came out! As we were waiting outside, we saw Dr. (Leonard) Anderson give the same amount of attention to another patient. Nothing was rushed and Patrick was very careful to move our dog in and out without running into other animals.
I trust Dr. Leonard SIlverman. He is my favorite kind of neighborhood veterinarian: someone with years of experience. His son, Dr. Nick Silverman also inspires my trust. They and their staff are warm and compassionate. In these challenging times, they are trying their best to serve their patients under C-19 protocols. I screwed up twice last week: I missed an appointment for my cat and then got (but did not confirm) another appointment. When I got there, I found I didn't, actually, have an appointment. Nevertheless, they bent over backwards to make room for seeing my cat, who has medical conditions that required attention. They are also super about getting back to you promptly with follow-up and lab results.
These incredible vets took care of our cats for five straight years, and they are legitimately the best vets I've ever had in ten years of cat ownership. They're knowledgeable, caring, and diligent; they give you exactly the info you need without trying to sell you on expensive treatments just for the sake of them (something I definitely cannot say for every vet!!) and most importantly they just all care so, so much about the animals in their care. I'm actually deeply sad to be moving away from them, and they're going to be the gold standard of vet care for me going forward. Consistent, reliable, caring–y'all are just the best!
I wrote a review before exclaiming how wonderful this Vet is but I wanted to add a little more love to this review. My baby recently passed and Prospect Park Animal Clinic was there for me every step of the way. The doctors were sincere and professional, and the staff was beyond supportive. I want to shout out Terran, who was there for me twice, when I found out my baby was sick and when I picked up his ashes. She was the warmth, the shoulder to cry on and the brick wall I needed in those moments and that is something I will always remember & cherish. Thank you PPAC, for giving my baby and I everything we ever needed.
I brought my cat in yesterday after a disastrous encounter with a local groomer. The staff were all SO kind and accommodating, even though I didn’t have an appointment and they were slammed all day. Two of the techs saw my boy and treated his paws for wounds inflected at the groomer, and they also gave him a topical for a flea problem I’ve been trying to handle for a while. To top this all off, they did this all free of charge. I was so thankful that I nearly cried. Thank you so much for helping me and my cat on such a rough Sunday! I’ll be recommending Prospect Park Animal Clinic to everyone I know with a furbaby.
In July 2020 my cat, Thunder, was diagnosed with terminal mouth cancer. He was given 1-3 months to live but he is still here with me today. Although this experience is somewhat of a miracle, I know that the care provided by Prospect Park Animal Clinic is a huge part of my fur bear's longevity. The entire staff is patient, caring, and supportive. In fact, every time we visit the clinic, all the dogs passing by are looking to get inside of the building. I think that says everything about the clinic. If your pet needs care, I highly recommend you bring your little love to Prospect Park Animal Clinic.
I've been going to Prospect Park Animal Clinic for over 25 years. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate. They saved my dog Webster's life when he was just a pup and took care of all his health needs throughout his life to a ripe old age of 13.5. My cats lived to be 21 and 18. Dr. Silverman knows his stuff and diagnosed my dog with laryngeal paralysis caused by polyneuropathy when he collapsed from not getting enough oxygen. The emergency clinic had no clue of what was going on. He cut through the red tape to get Webster an immediate appointment with a top surgeon. I love these guys!
This review is specific to Dr. Quim. If bedside manner is important to you, I wouldn't recommend him as your vet. My cat was a patient there for many years and I often felt like he rushed our conversations without giving me time to process what he was saying or helping me understand all of the available options. While this was fine when she was healthy, when my cat became sick his manner made it much harder to hear the news that she was dying. I'm sure he's compassionate towards pets, but I'd encourage you to find someone who is equally compassionate with the owners.
Dr. Silverman and everyone there took wonderful care of our cat yesterday, with her tooth and possible liver problems. I very much appreciated that the decisions made during surgery and about care reflected causing minimal pain while giving the best care, and not doing unnecessary diagnostics or procedures. The care was thoughtful and humane, while being totally professional. We’ve taken a few cats to the Drs. Silverman – father and son – over the years, and we think very, very highly of them. The day after surgery, Phryne is very relaxed and purring a lot.
Can't believe I never reviewed this place. This is the kindest, most helpful vet I've ever been to. I live too far away now to stay with them, but while I lived nearby they helped my 18yo old lady get through her final year with minimal pain. I adopted another cat with kidney issues from them (they run a small shelter for hard-to-adopt animals), and they helped at every stage; she didn't live long but I gave her a good home, and they were so happy for that they even gave me some treatments free. Wonderful to see a vet that actually cares.
We had a great first experience with my new puppy Juno. No complaints. Front desk staff were very attentive, polite, and accommodating to us to get him a sooner appointment due to having an ear infection. Doctors were knowledgeable, patient, affectionate and gentle with my puppy. They also helped him to feel as comfortable as possible through his first time getting a thorough cleaning of his ears and check up. He left there being his normal self, happy and energetic with take home treatment. I appreciate the service we received.
I have been taking my dog, I have a frenchie, here for the past year and I am very satisfied with their professionalism, care and kindness. I tried other clinics but those didn’t make me feel like they cared much but I was just another patient. Prospect park animal clinic are usually very busy so the appointment is essential but they will try to accommodate for emergencies. Even though I moved further from the clinic it’s worth the time coming back here because I know that my fur baby will be well taken care of.
We no longer live in NYC, but when we move back, our dog will be back at this vet's office. We dealt with both Dr. Quim and Dr. Silverman and both were great - laid back, helpful, and not over-aggressive with expensive treatments. They kept our aging, cranky French Bulldog in good shape for a couple years and then helped us through the elaborate process of getting her certified to move to the UK. Our vet over here is good, but we have high standards now after Prospect Park. Keep up the good work.
I've been taking my two kitties here since moving to the neighborhood in the spring, and they've been really amazing. I have one cat with digestive problems and another with urinary crystals so we've been in more than I'd like, but the vets (Dr Silverman and Dr Quim) as well as the receptionists have made our experiences as pleasant as possible. They are also quite a bit cheaper than our last vet. I've been pleasantly surprised with our bills and really have no complaints. I recommend them 100%!
To start, my dog and I (and my family by extension) have been clients of this clinic in the past but that is not about today. Due to the current pandemic, the doctors and nurses at the clinic and myself practiced social distancing the entire time and everyone wore a mask as well. It was a smooth operation, very professional and has adapted to the new reality of this COVID-19 pandemic. I highly recommend any other pet owners/parents who can take their pet to Prospect Park Animal Clinic.
Best Vets in NYC! We’ve been taking our 3 cats to Prospect Park Animal Clinic for almost 4 years. They have handled every checkup/emergency/question/diagnosis with kindness, urgency and professionalism. We recently adopted a puppy and his first visit was amazing as well! So wonderful to have veterinarians who truly care about your pets’ happiness as well as thorough communication with owners. A true neighborhood family practice. We trust them immensely & so should you!
All my(and Gold Retriever Tully's) best experiances with Vetinarians have been at Prospect Park Animal Clinic. Tully has been to many Vets in many states over the past 6 years and it has never been an easy process. It still isnt easy because of how anxious and scared he gets but all of the employess at PPAC have been extremely caring, patient and understanding. What a wonderful group. I would go no where else in the 5 boroughs. Thank you for all of your work PPAC!
All my 5 dogs are patients at Prospect Park Animal Clinic for the last 15 years. Dr. Nick Silverman is caring and we can feel he loves what he does. He explains every details and treatment options and guides us through to decide what is best for our fur-babies. He responds quickly, never have to wait more than 30 minutes to get his advice. The office staff are helpful and make sure the administration of the visit go smoothly. Highly recommend.
I think Dr. Silverman is the best vet I've ever met. My cats like him, too! He's dedicated and very smart. I trust his advice and he's honest, which is critically important. He never suggests unnecessary tests (as other vets have done, to pad their bills) and I know that my pets will live happy, healthy, long lives due to his exceptional care plus his advice for how I should care for them at home. Can't recommend Dr. Silverman more highly.
Superb, and excellent service all around, I would actually rate this clinic more than 5 stars , the entire care and treatment was exceptional!!! All of the staff was so gracious and caring and very thorough and professional. I really appreciate how well they took care of our Prince (cat). Thank you so much. I recommend this place to everyone. Your animal will be in very good hands with tremendous trust, the best animal clinic in Brooklyn.
The office is a warm, friendly & clean environment. The Dr.s are all knowledgeable and work with each pets individual needs. Each Dr. I have dealt with is extremely caring and takes the time to explain everything. I am a person with a million questions and I never leave the office without a full understanding. I lost one of my dogs in an accident & I got a hand written sympathy card! I highly recommend Prospect Park Animal Clinic!
This vet was recommended by a friend and I am so grateful! I don't live very close but the trek is worth it. My cat Maya is a different cat with Dr Nick Silverman and he and the techs always handle her with such care. Dr Silverman is very knowledgable and patient with all my questions. You can tell he truly cares and offers advice pertinent to your pet's situation. It is so great to feel like you are in safe hands. Thanks!
I've been with Prospect Park Animal Clinic since I moved to NYC 12 years ago. The staff has always been supportive, helpful and very caring to my furry kids. Through teeth cleaning/extractions, regular diabetes testing, major surgery, kidney failure and cancer treatment they were there. Selfishly I'm glad they're not more in demand so I don't have to wait a month for an appointment but have and would again recommend them.
Don't just take my word for it instead, know that they take such good care of my pug Lily that she's always excited to see them. What more trustworthy creature is there than a dog? I cannot rate these folks highly enough. They really do care, don't try to upsell/find things to fix, and are generous with their time when you have questions. I trust them with her more than I've trusted any vet we've ever seen.
I love Prospect Park Animal Clinic - we went to literally five vets in NYC before finally finding here. The vets truly care about the pets who come here and they are honest; I completely trust them with my dogs and always feel comfortable knowing I can come for anything. It’s truly the best vet I’ve ever been to and highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for wonderful vet!
Just had an amazing & very thorough first visit with Dr. Nick & my two kitties, Fizz & Doughnut. He & the technician were so kind and gentle with my kitties. It reminded me of the kind of veterinary care I got growing up in a small town which was a huge departure from my sterile experiences with vets in Brooklyn prior. I am so happy I found this vet. Highly recommended.
Asked very throughout questions and have been helpful since the moment we brought our cats in! Rocky has a sinus infection ( we know of know that’s to this clinic! ) and the last vet just gave us medicine and said he was fine. Since taking him he has gotten so much better. They really work hard to get to the bottom of it all and you can tell they all really care !
Called today 6/3 at 10:22am. Was greeted with a "Good Afternoon". Then I inquired about cat boarding and was rudely told they do not have that service at this time. Which is fine just take it off your website or mention that it is not being offered so next time I don't have to waste my time talking to someone that clearly doesn't have good customer service.
Me and my cat had an awesome first visit with Dr. Nick Silverman! Recommended by a friend. He took time to talk thoroughly, address all my concerns, and give multiple options for treatments! Very fair prices and they don’t try to push expensive things on you. They have a little heated tent out front as their “covid waiting room” which was really nice.
Top notch vets who are available by phone for follow up. Very experienced staff. Modern diagnostics. They offer appointments in evenings and on the weekend. Hospitalization available if pet needs acute care. Best choice if you have a very ill pet. Be prepared to pay for the expertise, but maybe you, like I, believe our fur companions are worth it.
Marcy tore her ACL on a squirrel chase and Dr. Nick got her diagnosed the same day. They took x-rays to be on the safe side (no breaks) and sent us home with meds to help Marcy with the pain and swelling while we wait for surgery. Long story short, Prospect Park Animal Clinic is very trust worthy with your pet. I was happy we went there.
I can't speak highly enough of the attentive and thorough care our cats have received from the team here. I'm especially appreciative of Michelle at the front desk, who helped us through getting our cat cremated when she passed suddenly – her kindness, patience and empathy were above and beyond and made a dark day as easy as possible.
Dr. Silverman is just as amazing as I've heard! We brought our puppy rottweiler here to get a splint cast after an accident with the car door. We were in an out in all of 20 minutes! His staff is excellent and very informative for I am studying for the Veterinary profession also. Will certainly visit again!! …
Everyone was really friendly, caring, and seemed to enjoy what they did! As of June 2021, the waiting room is still outside, but I presume that will be ending in the next few months. The receptionist and doctors were all friendly and helped me schedule my next meeting as well. I will definitely be taking my cat back here!
I am so glad I found this place - the vets are wonderful and I can always have an appointment very quick (so far it's always been an ''on the same day'' appointment). They have been very compassionate and gentle with my dog, he recognizes them when he enters the clinic and gets all excited; he loves them so much.
In this clinic, we’ve found the most kind, caring, thorough and generous care. A homely place of which is a pillar of support and comfort for my kitty(and myself) as we walk through a scary time of congestive heart disease and epilepsy. For that, we cannot thank Dr Nick Silverman and everyone at PPAC enough.
Wonderful vets! I had been to others in Park Slope, but these doctors and vet assistants are always very helpful and available for emergencies or just behavioral care questions. Also good: they keep in touch about shots and health issues by email and remind you of upcoming vaccinations. Highly Recommended!
My dog is treated like any other dog and like an important part of my family. We were not automatically judged by our dog's breed. I was elated to not be charged extra money for sedation for bloodwork & xrays due to a vet's apprehension of my dog's size/breed. I have loved this practice since 2008!
I showed up on time and someone came out to take care of my dog almost immediately. there's a chair outside so owners can wait while their pet is being treated. Treatment was performed quickly. Vet came out and was very informative. Test results provided the next day. This was a great experience.
This is the BEST clinic I have meet. They re super patience and friendly. They helped me to take care of all required documents for the international health certificate of my cat. I very appreciated that the checked all details and provide so much help. LOVE PROSPECT PARK ANIMAL CLINIC!!!
The staff was friendly and our kitten got her vaccine and microchip very bravely. They accept Muffins pet certificate for spaying, which is a big plus. They do not do early spay/neuter however. They have an online store for buying supplies and seem very organized and we'll established.
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! If you love your pet this is not the place for you. I am outraged by the horrible communication I have received from this office and the incompetent vet. I am convinced these reviews are all fake or the vet may have once been great and needs to seriously retire.
I have been bringing my Shih Tzu Georgie here for several years and have always received great care. Everyone on staff is responsive, caring and takes the time to answer all of my questions. They respond to emails and phone calls promptly. They have been very safe throughout covid.
I have been going to this vet since 1979. They always get right to the issue and help with it getting great results. When they can’t they are compassionate and engaged all the same. Nothing has changed over the years. I highly recommend both Dr. Silverman’s —father and son.
I cannot speak highly enough about this vet. Our cat was having urinary issues, and they fit us in the next day for an appointment. After a quick diagnosis, they scheduled a surgery for the next business day and everything went very smoothly. Charlie is now doing great!
I was so relieved to find such a highly-skilled, affordable, and caring veterinarian right in our neighborhood. Personalized care you can count on. The staff was very caring and informative. They called me the day after to see how my dog was feeling. Excellent service!
Everyone I have come into contact with at the prospect park animal clinic has been attentive , very helpful and knowledgeable . I have been bringing my puppy to dr Quim who has been wonderful - sees me at the last minute and takes time to explain treatments to me .
I love this veterinary clinic. I was very welcomed by the front receptionist. Raquel the veterinary tech is the sweetest and professional tech I ever met. She was so loving to my cat mister bubbles and my dog taz. She’s the best!!! Highly recommend !!!! 5 stars ⭐️
Everyone here is so friendly and good with my dog. I had a grumpier vet or two where I previously lived and I didn’t know vets could be this nice and efficient. It’s been refreshing and a huge relief to find them as my dog settles into senior status.
My Bicon Princess has a persistent cough I called PP Animal Clinic and the receptionist stated that they were booked for that day but would squeeze Princess in and she was seen that next day. I highly recommend PP Animal Clinic they care about my dog
All the good energy and thoughtful attention you hope to find with a multigenerational family run business. We’ve been coming here for years and every experience is great - both reception and vets go above and beyond. This vet office is a …
Very friendly and took the time to comfort us and listen to our concerns. Our cat was very sick and they found the time to see her. Sadly she didn't make it but they we very kind through the process. They care about the pets and the families.
Coming back from vacation my regular vet close to home wouldn’t accommodate my 16 year old dog who wasn’t eating and had digestive issues. She had been to see Nick Silverman DVM once before and I’d had a great experience then. So while they
Former clients for 10+ years, we are sad to see what this animal clinic has become. Our dog was sent home post sedation without any pain meds and has been suffering since. The emergency, after hours number is actually the phone number of a
Professional on all fronts & very helpful in reviewing animal care options for -in our case- our elderly dog. A little bit of medication helped our dog remain mobile & comfortable for 2022 - very grateful for extended time!
I was extremely late to my appointment, and they were still able to see my dog without any problem. They always call the next day with lab results, they are always attentive to pets. Just an overall great vet practice.
My husband and I found our VET! Dr. Quim has been awesome to our puppy Abby. He is the type of vet that listens and give you options. In addition, the company does not charge and arm and a leg --major plus!
We take our Pom Rambo to them for many years now and feel at home and cared for like a family (: I also have sent many people over to them and they also have been happy with the service.
Had a great first vet visit here with my new kitten. Really looking forward to a long and strong relationship with this vet. So important to feel safe and cared for during a pandemic.
I've been bringing all of my animals to Dr Silverman at Prospect Park Animal Clinic for years. He's a wonderful vet, gentle and kind, and his diagnosis is always right on the money..
I feel comfortable bringing my cat here because not only are there friendly and dutiful staff, but there is little wait and most importantly, she is well taken care of. Thank you!
Prospect Park Animal Clinic is a wonderful practice! We appreciated that they intervened effectively but also did not over-treat. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Very clean clinic. The staff is super friendly and the doctor was nice, professional, knowledgeable, and probably one of the best I've been to. Would highly recommend.
I've been taking my pets here since before Covid. Everyone here is super helpful and really cares about their patients. I highly recommend Prospect Park Animal Clinic.
Wonderful team, easy to get an appointment, knowledgeable vets. Having used other larger practices in the past, I finally feel like this is the right vet for my pup!
Great family owned practice right near prospect park! Definitely recommend! Our furbaby gets amazing treatment and customer service from the doctors and assistants.
Great vet, been with them for four years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Most recently, they squeezed my sick pup in without an appointment and ran tests that day.
Dr. Silverman has been my vet for the past 20 years. He listens to you and talks to you, not at you. He always tries to find the best solution for your animal.
I really love this place for my cat. She receives such great care and her vet is so sweet and extremely helpful. I’m glad I found this place for my cat.
Dr Silverman and his team are excellent care givers. Very kind and caring. I was extremely pleased with the treatment and plan for my pets care.
Best vet ever! I’ve been going here for more than a decade. Dr. Silverman has always been professional and fair. I recommend him to everyone.
Dr Silverman and his son and the other vets really care about our pets and do a fantastic job. The staff are all really nice and helpful too!
This is a terrific vet. They really care, they follow up and they are involved. I highly recommend them. Thanks Prospect Park Animal Clinic!
It was very easy to schedule a neutering procedure, they were highly communicative throughout and our kitten came back happy and healthy.
Very impressed both with Dr. Nick Silverman's knowledge and "bedside manner" with my pup. Will definitely continue to use him as our vet!
The staff was friendly and attentive. They treated my cat like a little rock star. This is the best vet experience I've had in New York.
I saw Dr Nick, so kind and responsive. My dig is old and had a cough . He really explained everything. I recommend this Ver highly
A superlative experience. The doctors are incredibly friendly and responsive to concerns. I've been taking my cats here for years.
Rating 5 stars because they treated my bird Neon well, but now he’s missing. If anyone has seen my baby Neon, please contact me.
I’ve been bringing my fur baby here for years. They take really good care of him and treat him as their own. Highly recommended.
We’ve had a very positive experience with both of our pets (one cat, one dog). Staff is friendly, docs are loving and thorough.
Amazing care, very reasonable prices. Can take a while to get an appointment, but what can I say, they’re popular for a reason
Super caring and responsive. Love this place and wish I could keep bringing my kitties here, but we live too far away now!
I HAVE BEEN BRINGING MY YORKIE THERE FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS THEY HAVE GREAT DR FOR CATS & DOGS I RECOMMEND THEM VERY HIGHLY!
I've been going here since 2006 with countless animals. (Many cats and a dog!!!) Always patient , kind, and pragmatic!
