We’ve stayed in many of these hotels and the rooms are always clean and the staff are friendly and helpful and their location always handy. Lalley deserves a mention She was there when we checked in, no key cards were working and so Lalley was having to take all guests to their rooms to open the doors etc Then we wanted a drink from the bar after our long journey and Lalley was doing that as well! The phone was ringing and guess what? She was doing that as well Poor girl was doing it all. Upon arrival we had Olga who was quite rude in the way she spoke. It didn’t feel welcoming at all! Thank God, Olga wasn’t there the whole time and Rachel took over who’s amazing and looked after us like proper hotel guests and this is the reason I’m giving the hotel 4*. Room wise, it’s clean and comfortable but having no window is not good, you didn’t feel like you could breathe at times. They have ventilation to bring fresh air in however it’s noisy especially in the evening and night. Breakfast wise, it’s tasty and the service is good but made sure to let them know about the pancake with the frozen berries that were still frozen! The fruits should be fresh rather than frozen and there should be maple syrup offered not plain dry pancakes.

The only disappointment is that the car park is not managed by the hotel. The car park operator does not give a receipt nor email you for the transaction. I paid for three days, and due to unforseen circumstances, I left earlier than planned. I requested a refund from the carpark operator. I am yet to get a response or acknowledgement from the car park operators. Unfortunately, the hotel is not ready to be involved That's the only downside of Premier Inn Southgate, so car owners beware.

The worst experience I've ever had. Twice I had to stay here each time for 5 days,I had to ask for clean towels as nobody ever came to change them(they were stained anyway even the clean ones),the room was absolutely disgusting..the smell was unbearable,the food was awful the staff very rude ( I had an incident in the bathroom where I've fallen in the bath and hurt myself really bad and when I told the receptionist all she said was "ah ok")I wish I had more pictures.I wouldn't ever chosen to stay here if it wasn't paid by my company.

this 4 star hotel is a joke. You have to pay for 10 pounds if you check in at 2pm, because their check in time starts at 3pm. Zero internet signal in your guest room, and saying this is Sunday which nobody gets to know how long they will solve the internet issues. But they charge you extra money for the internet if you need urgent calls, so literally charge money for any basic things which should equipped not for a 4 star hotel, but for any basic standard as a hotel. Absolutely a shocking joke indeed.

Exactly what I expect from a Premier Inn in terms of facilities, room and staff. Car park could do with better signage as once I was inside the gates there were no obvious signs for how to get back to reception. Non working hairdryer reported to reception who apologised and said it would be dealt with. All in all a good 1 night stay. I didn't have any traffic noise, although AC unit in room was not the most quiet. I will be staying here again.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. Marina is such an asset to the Premier Inn team. Really went over and above. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday. Lovely hotel, same can’t be said about the staff, lady at front counter on 10/5/18 at 14:00 didn’t even acknowledge me as I used the self service check in, a little hello would’ve been nice. However worst of all is the fact that the next morning 4 people tried to enter the room between 11 and 11:30 (12pm checkout) and one didn’t even knock and made their way into the room despite music being on clearly showing someone was still in the room! Other than that, rooms were wonderful, clean and comfortable, shame about the let down

Stayed in a family room. Clean and tidy. I think it would be great if a security latch could be added to family rooms as my little one managed to escape into the corridor! The shower head was also rusty. Asked about having my room cleaned and might staff just told me to ask day staff. The car park is £12 a day, it's a really great location but still quite pricey.

When it first opend this was a very good hotel to sleep. Now 5 years on there is room for some maintanace. For instance our bathroom had some loose paint on the walls, the metal cord of the bath stopper was broken. All these things can be easily fixed and then everything looks super nice but it looks a little run down with all these little damages now. Restaurant is not great

Ok it’s not the most glam but it’s cheap, clean and in a spot on spot for local takeaways and the Southgate tube station. It’s a quick 3 min walk to all the takeaways and there’s tons on offer so you won’t go hungry. Southgate’s tube is iconic if you’re into your retro art deco style! The breakfast is really good and the rooms are as you’d expect, clean and comfortable. Very happy with my visit. It’s not 5 stars purely on a grim view… it’s a functional sleep…

We stayed here for location to the underground into London. The room as expected, good. The breakfast good, evening meal not good . The service in particular was very good from one of the staff named Laylee, who needs a mention as she was very helpful in every area, reception and dining and couldn't do enough for you. I always enjoy this hotel at Southgate and this time did not disappoint. Great rooms, always perfect. There were no eggs cooked at breakfast as the chef cooks in small batches (much better than loading up with produce getting cold) he cooked my egg directly and brought my plate to the table directly, thanks chef , true professional at work. I would not rate this hotel as a 3 or 4 star experience. Our room and the hallways and elevator smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The service here has been amazing. Old school service where staff actually go out their way to ensure the customers are throughly happy. Super attentive, super friendly and very kind. Daniel the head chef was so friendly and helpful. I managed to borrow a charger after losing mine on a night out. Got a late check out free of charge. tania was also really friendly and helpful. Room was a typical premier inn room, clean, smelt good, shower worked etc so yeah a good nights sleep no doubt. Staff we’re friendly and food well presented. Not a lot of choice on food (as usual with premier inn) nothing is ever available and what was available as stated was presented well but sad to say was tasteless which was a bit sad. Parking is also not great if you have a van. Mediocre. Had ALOT better premier inns.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks as a family, but it was terribly bad, especially the employees and the hotel manager were absolutely terrible. The cleaning officer working in the hotel attacked the family and acted racist. Never stay in this hotel. It's a terrible and dangerous place. The hotel manager YASIN IS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.

Super friendly and helpful staff, keeping up the good name of Premier Inn. I had a double room which was plenty big enough and well presented. It was fitted with very thick blackout curtains and as it is far enough off the main road it meant I was able to get a great nights sleep! With the great prices I would thoroughly recommend this branch to anyone looking for a place to stay.

I like this Premier Inn, I've stayed there a handful of times, it's clean, the staff are freindly and there is on site secure parking. Southgate tube station is a 2 minute walk and it's surrounded by shops and restaurants.

Right from the go Robert on reception was polite and welcoming and extremely helpful and we wouldn’t be checking for three more hours. You can’t wish for a better start to the day. We stayed for a breakfast and it was great. Clean and tidy with great staff. The tube station is 100m away. I will post again once i get into our family room.

Booked for NFL Tottenham as did quite a few. Considerably cheaper than others in the area. Decent, clean, warm and comfortable. Parking at £10 per day, worth noting it's free for blue badge holders. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location for the tube into the city, direct line to Leicester Square. Would definitly use the hotel again.

Hanan and Zena have been amazing always ready to help and inform us about anything relevant. They are so cheerfull .

I love staying at Premier Inn. Arriving is like walking into your second home. Always clean and well maintained rooms and providing all you need for a long or short stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that the parking charge is quite steep which, for a stay of 5 days or so, bumps up the cost of the stay

I'm very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was expecting something adequate at best, but I can say that the room is lovely, and the restaurant is very nice, with great food. Sheltered, off street parking is a bonus too, and the staff are very friendly. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to the area.

The perfect base for a London stay. 300 yards from the underground station, free of the congestion charge and with parking. All of the members of staff we found were friendly and their customer service was fab. The breakfasts were fantastic! Highly recommended and we’d definitely go back again in a heartbeat. Superb!

Pleasantly surprised. Check in was smooth. The room was clean and a nice size. There is shower gel/shampoo from a dispenser in the bathroom but it's basic stuff and not necessarily good for your hair. The vanity mirror with lights to do hair and make up is a nice touch.
