A one night get away with my children. We stay at many premier inns as we love the service, we know the rooms are lovely and mainly the breakfast. Unfortunately this was not at all what I would have expected from a premier inn at all. Parking was a nightmare but I am originally from Putney so I knew to expect that. The hotel smells very damp but I put that down to being so close to the Thames. It’s in need of updating but most things are nowadays. Friendly welcoming arrival but was super disappointed once I noticed the sign to say the restaurant is closed. It was the main reason for a premier inn but oh well, out of anyone’s control I guess. Arrived in our family room to find skittles, chocolate, white fluff and loom bands all over the floor. Bathroom had clearly not been cleaned and I dread to think what the stains on the curtain were. Bed sheets also stained so the manager came to see the state of the room and decided to move us to another room. This was cleaner but the towels were stained and bed sheets torn. But it was cleaner. Around 9 we were settling to bed and all we could hear was children running up and down the room or corridors. Appreciate it was 9pm and kids get excited staying somewhere new but by 10pm I called reception. He visited the room and asked the family to be quite. This didn’t have any effect unfortunately so around 10.45 I called again and was advised to wait till after 11pm and he would call the police! I was shocked. The noice went on till 4am which was a real shame. I was too scared to call reception as why would they call the police on a family. At 8 am I went to reception to say I’d like to speak with a manager and was told to come back at 8.45. I did and spoke with Pavel who was rude and clearly needed to go on a customer service course. He was a different manager to whom I had spoken with the day before who was understanding and lovely. Pavel was stating that they had changed our room and basically tough. I was mortified. I explained the room was changed at no fault of my own and why am I getting the impression you feel that it’s my fault. I have photos and videos of the whole stay. I asked for my money back as this was a terrible nights stay, I hadn’t slept and the service was terrible. He said go online and create a feedback form. But I stated to him their own website where I speak with him and he will arrange all this. He said no and was so reluctant to give me his name. Saying it so fast I had to ask again, then when I asked him to spell you could see he was not happy and quickly said the spell using Alpha Puppa terms thinking I didn’t know what he was saying. I asked him to repeat it. He was clearly a disgruntled manager and needs to change his role is he is not happy. I left with two upset children and I don’t think I will stay in another premier inn due to this.

Such a great location, but the hotel itself is very disappointing. Receptionist wasn't the most pleasant. After travelling for the whole day, you want to be greeted with a smile. This was not the case. Felt like she was a bit fed up. Was given a room on the lower ground, where you have to go through several doors, numerous hallways and up and down stairs. Felt like a maze. The room windows looked directly onto a car park. To give you an idea of how close the cars were to my window, I could read the parking tickets on the dashboard. A dirty white van is not what you want to see when you open your curtains in the morning, not to mention someone starting their engine literally 5 feet from your bed. The floor was creaky, and not just one or 2 floorboards, but the whole floor. As it was getting cold, I wanted to ask reception how to up the temp a bit, as per the instructions on the thermostat, but soon found there's not even a phone in the room. According to the receptionist, we're meant to call from our own phone... Since it's an 0845 number, that would've cost me 13p a minute. What if there's an emergency, or I don't have a mobile? What a stupid decision. Both vending machines were out of service, and since the restaurant was closed, I had to go out again to get some sort of sustenance for the evening. I just wanted to relax and rest from my trip, not go out to a corner shop for a cold sausage roll. There was a funny smell to the room, presumably because it's on a lower floor, and the water just stagnates somewhere. The toilet didn't even have a toilet brush. How are we meant to clean the bowl?.. Even something as simple as hanging a couple of paintings seems like a complex task for the premier Inn decorators. They're crooked and not level. The whole place has this "I don't give a f**k" vibe about it. Breakfast was the only positive in this disappointing stay. The waitress was pleasant and helpful, and the food was good and plentiful, even though it wasn't as varied as I wished. Sort the basics out, please. Your hotel is an awful calling card for London, and an embarrassment to the Premier Inn brand.

Walking up to the Premier Inn at Putney Bridge, you can only hope that it has the same predictably clean and comfortable rooms that most of the Premier Inns have - because it is dull, grey and depressing from first impressions on the outside of the building. Unfortunately, on this occasion, we arrived at about 10:30pm on a flight from Australia and we didn’t get the friendly welcome we were hoping for. When we got in to the room, the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned with stains on basin, stains in the toilet and many drink marks on the desk. The beds were comfortable but we went down stairs to request another sheet because there were stains on the sheet. After a long flight, we were exhausted and just wanted a good nights sleep. Instead we were changing sheets. The reception offered to change the sheets for us but our two children were already fast asleep. When we mentioned the state of the room, we were told that the room had been cleaned and it couldn’t possibly have cleanliness issues. The photos I attached aren’t the best, but they show how a simple wipe on surfaces that were regularly used could have removed most of the stains. The hallways stank of cigarette smoke but the reception were friendly and welcoming every time we passed reception on the other two days we were there. We stayed at another Premier Inn for the next two nights and it was chalk and cheese compared to this hotel, I’m afraid to say. We mentioned our issues to reception on leaving but were in a rush to leave. We also left our feedback on the feedback form.

A Grubby, Hard To Reach, Noisy Hotel. After battling traffic to get there, I was greeted by the need to download an app by some tardy rip-off parking outfit called 'Your Parking Space' - so I was out of pocket by £20 for a night's parking before I'd even checked in. Once in the hotel, the corridors to my room smelt unpleasant and my room smelt of B.O. on entering. There was no bath in my room - just a decrepit shower - and the toilet was a deterrent with aged urine stains under the seat (see pic). My experience put me off using the restaurant, but being hungry - I opted to use it and order the most basic, oven cooked food to encourage cleanliness. In summary: this hotel let down London's reputation quite badly. If I were a foreign visitor, I'd be mortified by the filth and noisiness of this hotel - but being an Oxford local who travels all over the country with my job, I have many comparisons by which I can guage the quality of hotels. This hotel is one of the worst I've ever stayed in.

Stayed one night with the kids in February 2023 paid £1.60 on the bus (you can use your contactless card once only) but for the children you have to go and obtain a ticket from the many underground stations at £1each To allow them to ride , all day on the bus . (TFL) transport for London we travelled from Russell Square to Putney bridge on the number 14 bus. The bus stopped at the stop right outside the premier Inn . stayed in a family room one night £119 . Two single beds and a double bed . excellent location friendly staff lift to all floors and the breakfast buffet style children 14 & under eat for free . you can pre-book " but you have to pay for it on arrival , by card or cash .

I enjoyed staying here for 3 days. It's nice, clean and spacious double bedroom. Premier Inn Hotel Putney Bridge is just 2 minutes walk from London Underground Station. Restaurants and pubs are just walking distance in the surrounding area. Bishop Park is just on the opposite side of the road. Although the hotel is literally next to the main busy road and buses parking area, I mostly slept well during the nights. The reception is pretty much very basic and small but accommodating. My double bedroom was nice and spacious. The bathroom was fairly modern although the water flow in the sink and shower wasn't strong enough but that just me to my liking. In the bedroom you have big TV, a kettle, hair dryer, two chairs, table, wardrobe, hangers and of course Aircon. Overall I enjoyed my 3 days business trip here in London in this hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes definitely. The only thing my distinctive and constructive criticism of this hotel is Staff should be more cheerful and smile a bit.

  • James Stowell

I have stayed here many times for work, usually 3 nights per week. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. The manager however is unpleasant and jobs-worthy. Paid £9.50 for breakfast but only wanted a coffee to go. Asked one of the servers if they had a takeaway cup. They were very helpful and went to get one, until the manager decided to get involved, insisted on making the coffee for me and then told me it would be £2.25 (bearing in mind that this is a coffee from the breakfast buffet). I informed the manager that I had paid for breakfast and he informed me that the cost of the takeaway cup was not included in breakfast so they would have to charge me the full price of a coffee. After the manager had left the server shrugged and said that they would not have charged me. Profit from coffee cup: £2.25. Loss of income from me changing hotels: ~£300 per week. Cost of being a jobsworth: Priceless.

My self and 5 other family members stayed in the Premier Inn last Thursday night. Over half of our party had an unsatisfactory meal. In addition the beer was off and a number of us tried different beers, with the same smell and taste due to the beer being off(possibly due to dirty pipes). One of the family members asked for wine as a replacement and was declined, being informed that he could only have a replacement beer. One other family member was physically sick. The showers in the rooms were also very poor with no pressure. I will not use the Premier Inn in Putney Bridge again. In addition I have been charged twice in the restaurant for our bill for 9 people.. The manager advised that the first transaction didnt go through on the night. I have phoned about 15 times and can not get through to the hotel in order to get a refund. Complete fiasco. Faulty Towers would not be this bad

We have stayed at this Premier Inn many times over the last twenty years. As the saying goes, don't judge a book by it's cover. When you arrive for the first time you may feel dissapointed and apprehensive with your choice as the building looks tired and in need of a makeover. If you're looking for value for money and a good night's sleep you have made the right choice. If you're lucky you will be allocated a south facing room on the 5th or 6th floor which comes with a river view. Excellent choice if you're in London to take in a Chelsea or Fulham game. Very close to bus stops and Putney Bridge Tube station (District Line ) . If you do not wish to eat in the hotel, there are many good restaurants a short walk away in Parsons Green.

Overall its a Premier Inn so you know what to expect. However for one nights stay at £165 you would expect the lifts to work and the place to be clean. Its a bad example of 70's architecture, the car park looks and feels like its somewhere you go to get your car vandalised, and they charge you £20 per day for the privilege . If you add in the £10 fee for early check in the overall cost is very close to £200 per night, and at that rate I would stay at the Richmond Park Hotel where the parking is free and the ambiance, rooms and everything else is way better. Overall a fairly dismal place which I suspect Tour Companies use but anyone else who knows it would stay clear.

Outside looks dated, but inside is perfectly fine. Rooms are very clean, good space for two people, tight but functional bathroom (tub is high so really have to step up to get in). Place is quiet so sleeping at night won't be a problem, but around 9 outside can get loud enough to wake you. VERY CLOSE to the underground Putney Bridge stop which is great. Short walk over the bridge and have a lively small town. No gym on-site, no microwave or fridge, no facial rags (I guess that's a US thing). Breakfast good but places nearby to eat as well. Overall good place to sleep with average good beds. Not a place to just stay all day come sleep at night and find your enjoyment in the city.

  • Farrah

A typical Premier Inn Hotel, but this felt like it needs some much needed tlc. It's a great location and five mins walk from the tube, which is a bonus. A lot of service people are staying here for work trips as opposed to families.

Walkability
It's on one end of Putney Bridge and literally a five minute stroll to Putney or Fulham.
Food & drinks
If you walk into Putney there are plenty of places to eat with chain street restaurants to independent ones. There's a Costa at the cinema but also a local favourite Social Brew.

Stayed 3 nights. Premier Inn has changed since my last stay in one a few years ago. The exterior of this one appears run down but inside is much better. It appears to be understaffed but the staff who are there do their best to help. No extractor fan, no air conditioning. They clean your room and replace towels on request rather than do each day. The costs have increased alot and I don't think it is worth the amount paid. My room was extremely noisy due to windows open out to the very busy road which appears to be 24/7. Despite those few niggles it was a pleasant stay as in perfect location

Do not book this hotel! Read what happened to me! With 2 days left to arrive in London from Brazil, the hotel sends me an email explaining that there is a problem with electricity at the hotel and they canceled my reservation that had been paid for since September. I was just told they were going to do the refund. I replied to the email requesting a re-accommodation in another hotel but I didn't get a response! I had to procreate a hotel in London on December 9, 2022 and you know London is very difficult to get accommodation. I ended up paying 3 times more at another hotel. I'm having trouble getting my money back. Do not book at this hotel!

Excellent stay! I have never stayed in a Premier Inn before and I was really wary but it was actually a really fantastic hotel. We asked for a room with a view (508) which was so spacious, with lots of light and we could see the river. All staff working here were super helpful and friendly, reception helped us out with a few requests too. Breakfast was good too - nothing to complain about and the waitresses were lovely on both mornings. I never thought I would say it, but I would definitely book here again without hesitating.

Great cheap and cheerful hotel that's a good price for the location. Situated just by the river there are plenty of places to eat and drink and it's easy to get into central London. The room felt clean and the whole place had reassuring COVID measures in place. The bed was very comfortable too (you might want to ask for extra pillows) and the Aircon worked - what else do you need when you just need a base to explore the city? The hotel is a little tired overall but let's face it, nobody should expect luxury at a Premier Inn. The parking is quite expensive but considering how convenient it is it was worth it for us as we'd driven.

Awful from the outside . Looks semi derelict from a distance- don't be out of by that . Very kind and helpful lady on reception found us river views on the top floor . Rooms clean but a little dated in places . Ours were exceptionally spacious for London . Breakfast plentiful ( although mostly cold ). Lovely breakfast staff .

We had a room more like a prison cell with such small windows and the hotel was a little tired. Having said that, the staff were very good and service at breakfast was great with a good selection of both hot and cold options. Would stay again but making sure we have a room that isn't on the minus level! The hotel is conveniently near Putney Bridge Underground and local buses and is perfect for visiting Putney, Bishops Park and Fulham FC. The west end is approx a 30 min tube ride away.

Very convenient location for public transport, underground to central London and buses to many places. Room adequate although very dark, double and secondary glazing so no traffic noise, also air conditioning. English breakfast is by Buffett and not up to the usual standard, chewy bacon dried out beans and rubbery fried eggs. The one dinner we had was very good and not too expensive, drinks however are typical London restaurant prices. Overall if you advance book as we did and get a good price for the room, a good convenient place to set up base camp for visiting West and central London.

  • Helen Riggott

Outside is pretty rundown, but as you expect from a Premier inn the inside was clean and tidy as was the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The downside for us, which we did bring up at the time, was the location of the room on the lower ground floor. The windows were below street level and you could here everyone that walked past. Late at night and early on the morning. We've been told to mention it next time we book. Which we probably will as it's in a great location

Rooms were nice, bathroom was small but very nicely done. Realised that the hand gel was the same as the hair and body stuff in the shower, so wasn't too sure about that. On the outside, it doesn't look the best but personally speaking, don't think the outside does the inside justice! Check in staff were nice, the whole process was easy and would do it again! Also very close to Putney Bridge tube station (district line), which means it was easy to get into the city.

This Premier Inn is in a super location close to plenty of shops and the tube. The city centre is about 10-15 minute tube journey. There are between 25-30 car parking spaces that cost £18 per 24 hours. The hotel itself is large with decent sized rooms, however, the rooms are incredibly tired and not the cleanest, simply giving the walls a good wipe down would make a huge difference. The restaurant is ok with a decent breakfast offering. The staff were not the most engaged and seemed to be easily distracted by other things other than serving the guests.

  • D Labelle

Always a great hotel to go to. The employees are so helpful, nice and polite. It was my birthday weekend and they gave us some special personal attention. I don't drink alcohol so instead of a complementary bottle they send us some big ice creams with brownie to our bedroom as a welcome gift. When we plan a trip to London we always go there. You're close to London, tube just 2 minute walk and bus 1 minute. Thank you again for making our long weekend unforgettable!

This is definitely an old Premier Inn. It’s looks absolutely grim from the outside, the room was standard premier inn but check in was meh, service in the bar was meh (the server didn’t know what Prosecco was), breakfast was disappointing (the fried eggs were just nasty) and the breakfast server was efficient but rude! Sadly it’s your only choice if you’re attending an event at the Hurlington Club. I’ll avoid in future if I can. At £200 for a night there was nothing premier but the price!

Excellent location and value for money. The room was on the lower ground floor so a bit dark and below a walkway outside so a little noisy. The room was also a bit hot and the temperature control just seemed to warm it further...the shower was also a bit weak which seemed odd given we were on the bottom floor. Be advised that getting a taxi is difficult during the day and that the buses are a better bet for transport.. All that said ...the staff were very friendly and helpful plus it was clean and had s comfortable bed so we slept well.

Love this hotel. We have stayed here several times and are revisiting this month. I called this morning with a request and spoke to Bridget who was wonderful on the phone. The staff are so friendly and will bend over backwards to help you. The location is incredible, directly on Putney Bridge, 30 seconds away from the tube. You can walk over the bridge to Putney or in the other direction you’ll find Fulham High Street. This hotel provides fantastic value for money in an amazing location. Can’t recommend enough! Thanks again Bridget.

  • Kimberly Pearl

Hotel was lovely and clean, staff were very friendly, parking is very limited so we were lucky to get a space. The breakfast on the other hand was a complete joke. The poor staff were so rushed off their feet trying to serve instead of the buffet. Food was barely edible as it had spent so long on the hot plate waiting to be brought out. We waited 40 minutes just for drinks to be brought over after ordering. We had to ask for every individual item even teaspoons, butter, milk etc which made the whole experience a real chore.

Not much to fault then on, the rooms were clean, and the linen too. There is a lovely park right across the road and the high street is just over the bridge, lovely view of the Thames and the Rocket wotherspoons is right at the water with a great view. All the usual high street shops. Are open too. If anything I'd say they could maybe put out more tea and coffee sachets as there was only 2 of each for 2 nights, I probably could have asked for more but didn't want to be a pain, I'd definitely visit again

Doesn't look much from the out side, but inside is new fresh and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff and it's perfectly situated, as Putney is a lovely beautiful and lively place, my wife and I felt very safe walking about late in the evening and night. Food is excellent and it's very close the the tube. A great hotel and half the price of city centre hotels. Only a ten minute tube ride to SW1 and £2.90. we will definitely be back again.... Back again 27-2-22 just a perfect place for visiting London

We only stayed here for one night, we were in London to see our daughter and go to a show then dinner. So we only used the hotel for a night cap there was a friendly atmosphere in the bar and the drinks were good. The room was clean and comfortable we both had a good night's sleep so the bed was ok, there was more than enough to eat at breakfast being vegetarians it's everything but meat and there was plenty it's a nice hotel the staff are friendly I would use the hotel again if I had to be in London.

The hotel itself was pretty good. Overall a very comfortable stay. The restaurant was terrible. They kept me waiting unreasonable lengths of time on 2 occasions, and on one of those occasions they lied to me about a fault with a computer system meaning my order got lost, when their orders are taken on paper. The hotel is in the process of being renovated so bare that in mind if you book any time in 2019. However the renovation work stops early in the evening so won't disturb your sleep.

What you would expect from your local Premier Inn. Prices are reasonable and can get cheap deals if you book in advance, on line or via a booking agency. The rooms are decent but there's no iron/ironing board provided. You'll have to ask reception for these items which can be a bit of a hinderance. Staff are friendly and polite. Convenient for short stays (work trips etc.) close to Putney Bridge underground station also local amenities can be found on the overside of Putney Bridge.

As good a Premier Inn as you can get. The breakfast is excellent and always well stocked with continental items. As always, the staff are lovely and happy to help whatever is needed. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are up to date with good water pressure and the essential amenities available. Overall, an excellent hotel if you're looking for a comfortable and a tasty breakfast.

  • Andrew George

It's very close to the city centre. For a Premier Inn it holds high standards - rooms we're clean and couldn't ask for more. Breakfast could've done with a bit of seasoning but other than that it had a lot to offer. Very good for families to go to

2 Nights here for a wedding nearby. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. The shower was nice and the staff were friendly and efficient and we had the lovely full breakfast. A good location, and we are impressed by the simple comforts offered in the rooms. We will definitely use a Premier Inn again and hope for the same standard of professionalism offered here.

  • Jessica Williams

Room was noisy and the cleaner came into my room at 9am. I stayed at the premier inn as it’s so close to the tube. Great location. However the hotel is run down in the interior. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was basic. The worst thing was after a noisy night were my sleep was disturbed having a lady knock and come in my room at 9am. Wouldn’t recommend.

  • Fiona Dobbs

Staff very professional, room large & quiet & breakfast efficient, plentiful & tasty. Location is good with buses & underground within minutes. Walking to The Albert Bridge takes about 80 minutes, along the tow path. There is more parking than imagined even when hotel was full. Only downside is the overall appearance. A refurbishment would not go amiss

  • Ricky Mcmullan

Good Spot for getting the head down while attending Stamford bridge for the Chelsea game! Room Breakfast and dinner all superb! Special mention to Patricia great host and looked after us well! A real credit to the place! 20 min walk up New kings road for the match really handy! First time staying at a premier inn and was really impressed

  • Bill Surtees

DO NOT STAY HERE, Service disgraceful, from waiting a ridiculous time to check in, booked a table to eat to be told there was only 1 chef in, only 3 tables eating but were too busy for me, attitude of staff appalling. I travel all over in premier inns, this is by far the worst. Do something about it prem Inn.

Surprisingly good for the price. The exterior is unfortunate and dilapidated which is sad but once inside, a warm, modern and welcoming reception awaits. Staff are extremely competent and helpful. Cons : Do ask to be booked higher up and facing the front rather than the back if you're a light sleeper. The buses may keep you up.

  • Elizabeth Smigiel

The beds are like heaven. Guaranteed to get a good night sleep. Breakfast is delicious! The view is amazing the lovely bridge. All clean and tidy would stay here any day any time!! Staff are kind and helpful. Bus stop is very near and so is the underground station. This hotel is very, very luxurious and cosy and comfortable.

  • Jacques Jefferies

One of the nicest Premier Inns I’ve been to. Very easy acces from the tube and their is a bus stops right outside. The family room was really big and the double bed was comfy. Breakfast was amazing for a chain hotel. Just one problem, the air conditioning was faulty for our first night but it got fixed the next day.

  • Wyatt Bingham

You can just barely call this a central location. The Tube is a short walk, so it will work as a base for your explorations of London. The staff is accommodating, and the rooms, while clean and comfy, are what you'd expect from a chain. The price is reasonable for what you get, the basics. Breakfast is quite good.

  • Sunnyside Up

Not luxury but it is a place you can feel at home and welcomed. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable than those in the city Centre. Comfortable bed. Very close to Putney bridge station, Bishop park and Putney High Street. Breakfast has a good range if you opt for full English.

  • Esther Benítez Gerpe

There is a good quality price relation. Excellent cleaning. Spacious family room. Good reception service, they helped us to find a taxi to Gatwick. Very good location to move by subway. The neighborhood with all services is a plus.

Only draw back to our experience was being given a room below the street. This meant it was very dark with not a lot of natural light. We had breakfast here one day and it was pretty average, we chose a cafe around the corner for the rest of our stay

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Just a couple of minutes walk from the regularly serviced tube station. Lovely rooms, very accessible with lifts etc. I stayed in the basement which was more than okay, with the room being a good size. Very friendly staff, and overall a fantastic budget hotel.

A pretty run-down property with smelly carpets. They have a great team but the hotel condition isn't good enough. Limited to no food options. Although the restaurant are a decent walk away.

Me and my friend Carol H stayed over, we were going to a concert at the half moon to see Los Pacaminos. The staff at Premier Inn Reception the young man he was so helpful. The room was great, and clean. Breakfast was amazing! The staff were amazing, the price was great. I would stay there again.

Great location with great staff like Imaan going the extra mile to help customers. Car parking is disappointing should be allowed to pay the parking when your paying for the hotel room itself.

The building is awful but the location and rooms are great. Rooms are incredibly spacious and the housekeeping service is great. Pity about the morning staff (boy and girl). They should work on their hospitality skills and be friendlier to their guests. That would definitely improve one's stay.

Turned up yesterday with 2 kids in tow, thinking I'd booked a family room. Turns out that I'd only booked a single occupancy room by mistake. Reception were brilliant - friendly, professional and sorted it out for me even thought it was my error. Thanks!

  • Dennis Chan

The breakfast is amazing! Full English, all I can say is that the chef and his crew are brilliant at what they do. In terms of the room, it’s average and a little dated. Quiet neighborhood and next to Fulham Park which is nice to jog in the morning.

  • Greg Matthews
