We booked an accessible room as I use an electric wheelchair. This was our second time staying at this premier Inn. We came back as had such a good experience the first time. Unfortunately when we arrived we noticed the disabled access lift was out of order. My partner went to reception on the second floor and a staff member kindly came down to show us how to use the manual lift to get to the other main lift which would take up to reception and the room. We were very impressed with the fact there was another lift available. We went out for the evening and came back to find both of the main lifts were out of service. Once again my partner had to go up to reception to ask what would be done. He was told someone would hopefully be out within four hours to fix it. That would've taken us to 1AM. He said he could come down to help with the chair, at this point my partner just wanted to get back down to me as I have functional seizures and he didn't want to leave me alone any longer. The staff member didn't come. I attempted to go up the stairs on my bum but it was far too difficult so my partner then had to carry me up four flights of stairs. Having to also leave my expensive chair unsupervised. He then had to go and get my chair, which is very heavy, and then carry that up four flights of stairs. In the morning I spent from 9:30 to 10:30 trying to ring reception to find out if the lift was working. My partner didn't want to have to leave me alone in the room again as I had been having seizures the night before when we had finally made it back to the room. I was continuously getting more and more disappointed by the lack of customer service and care. After an hour of ringing my partner had no choice but to leave me and check the lift as we had a show to attend that day. Luckily, it was working. Saturday evening when we got back, we went to reception again as I wanted to ask what plan would be in place if that happened again. The response I got was hopefully it wouldn't. He offered us a complimentary breakfast, which we appreciate but I did make it clear I wasn't complaining, as I know they can't control what happens to the lift. However, I want to provide feedback and express much of a negative affect this had on our night. I feel we had zero help and support through this. As someone who lives with a disability I don't often feel like it is an inconvenience and have adapted to it but this event, having to be carried up four flights of stairs, ending up having massive symptoms flare ups and not feeling listen to by staff made me feel uncomfortable and very aware of being disabled. My feedback would be to atleast notify guests when something like this happens. Especially if they have access needs. The hotel had my phone number and email, I could have been made aware of this situation. Also on Saturday night, the air conditioning in our room wouldn't go off. We had previously turned it off the night before but this time it wouldn't go off. We didn't ring reception as I'd already had enough of trying to get through for an hour that morning. It was quite chilly but mainly noisy. Neither of us slept well or felt rested when we got up Sunday morning. Again, we appreciate staff can only do so much in these situations but more support would've been appreciated.

I regret to share my family's dreadful experience at Leicester Square Hotel during our recent visit to London. From the moment we checked in on June 5th to our departure on June 9th, our stay was nothing short of a complete nightmare. The level of frustration and inconvenience we endured throughout our holiday has left us deeply disappointed and disheartened. Upon our arrival, we were hopeful about the hotel's accessibility, as we had specifically booked an adapted room due to my parents' mobility needs. However, to our dismay, the adapted lift was out of order, and we were informed that the only functioning elevator required navigating a few stairs. For an establishment that advertises accessibility, this was a major letdown, especially for my elderly parents, who were in a wheelchair and were looking forward to a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Regrettably, the issues didn't end there. Both elevators malfunctioned repeatedly during our stay, causing severe delays and stress. On multiple occasions, we found ourselves waiting for an extended period (whole mornings), unable to access our room or leave the hotel. The unpredictability of the elevators left us feeling trapped and helpless, disrupting our plans to explore the city and enjoy our holiday to the fullest. As an older couple, my parents' mobility limitations were further exacerbated by the hotel's inability to provide reliable elevator service. It was heart-wrenching to witness them struggle and miss out on the enjoyment they had envisioned for their London trip. Instead of creating cherished memories, our time at Leicester Square Hotel was marred by feelings of frustration and disappointment. The hotel's location, touted as a highlight, became a double-edged sword. While Leicester Square's vibrant atmosphere initially seemed promising, the constant elevator breakdowns overshadowed any positives. We were reluctant to venture far from the hotel, fearing we'd be stuck once again due to the elevator's unreliability. Consequently, our opportunities to explore nearby attractions, theaters, and dining establishments were severely limited. Despite the hotel friendly staff's efforts to assist during the elevator breakdowns, their support did little to alleviate the overall experience. The small discount offered as compensation for the inconveniences (less then 10% of the total price) was not commensurate with the magnitude of the issues we faced. It felt like a mere token gesture rather than a sincere effort to address the distress we endured during our stay. In conclusion, our stay at Leicester Square Hotel was an appalling and unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons. The persistent elevator malfunctions, the lack of adequate accessibility, and the subsequent impact on our holiday were entirely unacceptable. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to anyone, especially to those with mobility needs. Potential guests should be aware of the hotel's shortcomings and consider alternative accommodations that prioritize their guests' well-being and comfort. They explained it is only temporary but this is not the case. I walked past the hotel last week (more than a month after the stay) only to notice the elevators were (still) not working.

Location 5/5: the location of this hotel can't be better. 2 min walk from metro station Leicester square, it's right on Leicester square itself. So you're close to nearly everything in central London, whether you want to walk or take the Underground. Specially recommended if you want to taste London's night life in popular SoHo. service 2/5: There was an error in the booking so I had to adapt my booking, which seems very easy via the website. However, when amending my booking it gives me an error stating that the hotel is fully booked. Nothing left but to call. This is not so easy, tried several times, but got a machine telling me it's too busy, so I should try another time. No possibility for a waiting line or call me back, no just try your luck another time. Luckily when I finally got them (took me about 2 days and 15 calls), extending the booking was not a problem at all, allthough the website stated that the hotel was full. Arriving their they offer me an upgrade to a superior room if I want (not for free off course), So why the website stated that the hotel was full, is beyond me. In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off, presumably because the fire alarm of a restaurant in the same building (but not part of the hotel) went off. Barely an excuse from the hotel staff or perhaps a small compensation the morning after didn't make my morning humor better. Finally you only receive one key card for your room, which is very incovenient, as you need it to unlock the elevator and hallway. room 2/5: We've booked a standard room and standard is really the key word here. The bed is ok, the bathroom is ok, it's good for a couple of nights in central London, but that's it. There's no window in the room, or at least no window that can be opened. The TV is slow and it offers you only the very basics. food: 3/5: You've got both English as Continental breakfast, so that's good. My wife has a gluten intollerance and she's a vegatarian but she got some options too. They were very helpful regarding that. The English breakfast was... ok. Bacon is not their speciality let's say and the rest is just medium. Continental breakfast was limited. Just some toast, some croissants, fruit and yoghurt. You had some jam and chocolate spreak for your toast, but no cheese or ham or whatsoever. Also don't ask for a hardboiled egg, you might receive a practically raw one instead. price 4/5: In comparison to other hotels and given the location, the price for this hotel was good. Given the elements above however, more would've been a scam. Conlusion 3/5: it's an Ok hotel, certainly given the price and location, but don't expect a lot from this hotel. If you're looking for a budget friendly stay in the middle of London for a couple of days and you're not going to stay a lot in your room, then yes, this might be it. If you need a bit more comfort, or if you're travalling with kids, I suggest to look further.

I recently stayed at Premier Inn Leicester Square and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The combination of a malfunctioning lift, lack of stable hot water, and insufficient cleaning service left me thoroughly disappointed. First and foremost, the lift was out of service during my entire stay. This inconvenience not only made it difficult to navigate the hotel but also posed a significant challenge for guests with mobility issues. The lack of a functioning lift is unacceptable and should be addressed promptly to ensure the comfort and accessibility of all guests. Furthermore, the absence of stable hot water in the rooms was a major letdown. A hot shower is a basic expectation for any hotel, and the fact that this fundamental amenity was not available significantly impacted my stay. I was forced to endure cold showers, which is not something I anticipated when booking a room at Premier Inn Leicester Square. Additionally, I was disappointed with the cleaning service provided. The room did not meet the standards of cleanliness that one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. There were noticeable areas that seemed to have been overlooked, and the overall tidiness was lacking. A thorough and consistent cleaning service is essential for guest satisfaction, and in this case, it fell short of expectations. I understand that issues can arise in any establishment, but the key is how efficiently and effectively these issues are addressed. Unfortunately, my attempts to communicate these concerns with the hotel staff were met with indifference, adding to the frustration of an already disappointing experience. In conclusion, my stay at Premier Inn Leicester Square was marred by a combination of a non-functioning lift, lack of stable hot water, and subpar cleaning service. I sincerely hope that the management takes immediate action to rectify these issues, ensuring a more positive and comfortable experience for future guests. Until improvements are made, I cannot recommend Premier Inn Leicester Square to others looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

I have huge negatives, so I'll start with the positives... the room was adequate, the breakfast was good, the location was good, and the **day staff** were friendly. Now on to the significant negatives. We were awakened by a fire alarm our first night, around midnight. Everyone evacuated down the stairs, children were crying, there was a sense of panic; no staff were to be seen. We waited for around 20 minutes before a staff member came outside and just sort of stood there. A few minutes later, we saw staff at the reception area (I believe the 2nd floor) by the breakfast area. Someone looked down at us all outside, pulled out their phone, and took a picture of us all out in the cold. It was infuriating. The police finally came, went in, and about 10 minutes later, brought a man with a bag out. Apparently he had snuck in and triggered the alarm. We got all of this info from police – staff were still MIA. The police said it was safe to go back inside, so we did. Everyone was tired, and so very angry. I complained the next day to the (very understanding) manager, and was told to file a complaint with Premier Inn corporate. I did, and the automated email said it'd take a laughable 75 days to respond. When I did get a response, it was "Sorry, this incident didn't violate our Good Night Guarantee." On top of all this, our room was never cleaned, towels were withheld, and the elevator landing smelled intensely of chemical cleaners. Terrible company. Never again.

Great location, horrible everything else. The hotel is incredibly well located, right next to Leicester Square in central London. That is everything positive that I can say about my stay here. I have stayed in many different Premier Inns, because they are normally basic, but reliable and comfortable. My experience here was entirely different, and much worse than I have experienced in any other Premier Inn. The hotel is old and run down, the cleanliness was poor and the bed and room was in desperate need of a little renovation. The building has NO CENTRAL HEATING, and the air conditioner in the room works for only 20 minutes before turning itself off. I found it completely impossible to sleep for even one night of the three night stay due to the unbearable cold. Many times it felt like the room was even colder than outside on the street. The walls are also thin and the floors creaky, meaning that the hotel rooms are pretty noisy. After eventually managing to track down a member of staff, who was rather rude, I was offered a room change (which I was then told would have exactly the same problem), or a free breakfast. This did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. When contacting them regarding their Good Night Guarantee, and to explain the problem, I waited over a month for a response and was politely told to sod off. I have always had a good experience in a Premier Inn before, but after my experience in London Leicester Square, I will definitely think twice about staying in one of their hotels again, and certainly will find another option should I return to London.

Excellent location convenient to many shops, restaurants, tube station, plenty of things right in Leicester Square to see as well. For such a busy and loud location, absolutely zero of that noise reaches the room, and we were on the lowest level (3rd floor). Very friendly front desk service. However beware that THE LIFTS ARE OUT and seem to have been for some time. This means every time you come and go, you are taking the stairs. Which sucks. We were only told this about two weeks before our stay. If we had known this more in advance, we would have rebooked with a different hotel. This is done on their part obviously to make sure you don't do just that. The lady who checked us in was nice enough to put us on the lowest possible floor to save us the trouble of climbing so many stairs at least. If you absolutely need the lift, like for many heavy suitcases as we had, just ask staff and they will help you. For some reason you're not allowed to use it on your own. That being said - comfortable bed, relatively decently sized room, convenient to many things. Felt very safe here. And value was decent. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant and maybe that's a good thing - two days into our stay, the restaurant was closed for health and safety reasons. Make of that what you will.

Very centrally located in Leicester Square which is accessible to underground stations, theatres, shops, restaurants and much more. The hotel itself is easily accessed in Leicester Place, only one lift was working which caused delays, check in is on the second floor. You then use your door key to access the lift to floors. The room was spacious but very warm indeed as yiu could not open the triple glazed windows, but there was air conditioning in the room albeit a tad noisy. No wardrobe as such but am area designed like one with six hangers and also three coat hooks by the door, a desk and chair, large TV, hairdryer, hot drink making facility, subtle lighting, mirrors, tidy bathroom with big shower. We lacked a plug in the sink which we asked about getting one but it never came via maintenance as it appeared they were not on duty that day. Overall the room was nice and adequate and relatively quiet, not exterior noise just that of neighbouring rooms on occasion. The corridors did not seem to be hoovered well as sequins could be seen on the carpet twk days running. Breakfast (optional) was excellent with a lot to choose from. There is also a locked cupboard to leave your cases/bags for a duration after you check out. The staff were all friendly. The lack of a second lift was a bit of an issue for people.

The search for a hotel in London can be a bit overwhelming. I am very satisfied with my choice of Premier Inns Leicester Square. While rooms are small, they are not crowded. There is enough room for a bed, small desk, TV, and closet unit. The bathroom is a bit smaller than I would have liked to see (the door nearly hits the toilet on the way in) but it serves its purpose. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Seconds away from the Tube, Charring Cross, and some great night life. Minutes away from Piccadilly Circus. We were able to walk to most London sites from the hotel. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Buckingham and not much further to Westminster Abby and Big Ben. The price is definitely right for this hotel! The staff is helpful and friendly and the room was always cleaned well. There was an issue with the toilet in our room on the second day and it required that we be moved to another room for the remainder of our stay. The front desk staff were fantastic in this regard and worked with us to get a room on a higher floor again. They then moved our luggage for us while were were out exploring, and when we got back, the keys were ready for us without an issue. I helpful tip: there is a club below the hotel. This is not something that the hotel can control, but the loud music can be heard on the lowest floors. Try asking for a higher floor.

Would recommend the Premier Plus rooms. Higher floors and no problems with noise. The staff were pleasant and happy to give me an extra towel, tbags and milk for the room. Shower was powerful and the room was clean. We did ask to have our luggage stored but the room was just bigger than a cupboard and full. If we'd left the luggage the cases would have been in a corner of the restaurant area and I wasn't happy with that situation. Arriving back from a show in the evening the room card was needed to enter the building. There was a guy standing slightly back, waiting for the doors to be opened and he walked in with us. You need a card to get to the higher floors via the lift and again to get onto those floors. I just felt maybe security was needed.

I have previously mentioned security and the comfortable premier plus room. It's Leicester Square so it's good for walking and sightseeing. A perfect spot.
Safety
I just felt the front door needed security. Anyone can get to the 2nd floor slipping in with a card holder and then there's the luggage that can't be stored.
Walkability
Leicester Square with theatres, cinema, restaurants and more in easy walking distance.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay close to tube stations, restaurants & bars then this is the place but you won’t really be happy with much else. The rooms are really tiny and not one window is open throughout the whole building, it’s warm, stuffy and can hardly breathe. Breakfast was okay but the staff don’t really speak, quite rude, don’t say good morning and looked to be stressed out their heads. If you require gluten free food there is not much variety. No gluten free cakes, crumpets, sausages or muffins, just bread. The hair dryer in the room kept cutting out and one of the lifts was broken so it took ages to get down from floor six & was jam packed with people stopping at every floor. The coffee machine was also broke on our second visit to breakfast. So we could not have our cappuccino and no choice for decaf either. If you require anything for your room like an iron don’t ring reception because they don’t answer anyway. Very short staff who are miserable. No clean towels provided and only 2 of each tea, milk and coffee for 2 days so I stole loads from breakfast, if would take hours to get someone to refill it.

The whole experience at this Premier Inn was well below standard of other Premier Inns in London. The entrance at street level (Reception is up 2 flights of stairs) is drab and lacks security especially for lone travellers. The Premier Inn Plus room I booked had a stained spare bed/sofa, which was of no use and took up too much room. I had to ask staff to remove it. The restaurant area is very drab and unappealing, hence it didn’t entice any custom. I returned from work on my second evening at the hotel to an unclean room, so no clean towels, no fresh supplies of tea/coffee or water and worst of all no clean cups! There is no phone so I had to traipse down to reception and ring a bell. I was told room service is not available on the second day of a booking and I have to collect my own towels, coffee etc… oh and I need to pay for my water. The so called ultimate WiFi free for premier plus rooms is completely useless and I had to use my own personal phone hotspot to access my work O365z Premier Plus!!! This isn’t up to the standard of a basic room/service. Very disappointed ☹️

We were very disappointed with the hotel stay which turned out to be very short. We were expecting a high-quality hotel, especially considering the very not cheap price of the rooms. In practice, we ended up at a minus medium very dirty hotel. The entrance from the street is very uninviting, and the reception is on the second floor. The standard double room is very small and uncomfortable, but the premier plus room is nicer. Everything is dwarfed by the fact that the level of maintenance is poor, to say the least. We intended to stay at the hotel for a week. In practice, we had to leave after two days, because both elevators were not working. One of the elevators didn't work in the first place, and the other one broke down after a day, and they couldn't fix it for 24 hours. In fact, we were prisoners in the room for a whole day, since we couldn't physically go down and up four floors, and the staff didn't care so much that they didn't even bother to clean our room, even though we asked. It is recommended to stay away and look for another place.

I had a really poor experience at the Leicester Square Premier Inn. The entrance is dishevelled and unwelcoming, and one of the lifts was not working. From what I gather this is a regular occurrence. The staff were churlish and rude, and service at reception was slow. The room was functional and small, with double windows that did not open. The room was stuffy despite the air conditioning being on full. When we returned to the hotel in the evening there were no members of staff on reception or on the bar, despite it being advertised as 24-hours. When we checked out asked to leave our bags in the secure room while we went out for the day, a service which the hotel advertised. However, we were told that the store cupboard was full, meaning we had to leave the bags in the restaurant area totally exposed. The staff did not offer much by way of an apology and we felt uncomfortable leaving our suitcases here. The hotel is well located but overall I would highly recommend that you look for elsewhere to stay, even if it means travelling further to local theatres and attractions.

The hotel has a very unassuming entrance which is not very well lit. The elevator was not working during the duration of our stay which did sour our experience. Many people suggest the location is excellent. While I appreciate it is close to the tube and major attractions, Leicester square is a very touristy location and personally would not stay in this location again. This is of course of no fault of the hotel. I will say however, there is a great selection of restaurants in the neighbourhood including fast food, western, and Asian cuisine (situated across from chinatown) in the area. Cleanliness is average. Staff were polite and apologetic of the elevator issue which we appreciated. However the lobby is on the first level and our room was on the 4th level. Travelling with large luggage made it quite difficult, especially with a narrow stairwell and the elevator being down. Overall, I would say this hotel is adequate. It’s ok, and does the job. Great for unfussy travellers, and a short stay.

If you're going as a tourist, it's a perfect location. If you're not then it'll be in an extremely busy place in the centre of everything and so it wouldn't suit what you want. Personally we went for my medical appointment for my visa, but we did some touristy things as well and it's very close to Westminister, the museums, big ben etc. The room was nice but nothing super special. The TV was at a weird side of the room so we couldn't see it properly. They provided some water in the fridge in glass bottles for some reason, not sure why. Would have preferred some juice or something instead of expensive water. The ultimate wifi didn't work for me, most the time the codes they give out don't work but I could look over that because I just used my data anyway. And the bathroom was nice but it doesn't have a bath, only a shower. The food at breakfast was decent, but again nothing special. And the staff were mostly friendly. Overall it was a nice stay, if only for one night, and I would go back again.

We stayed here last night and had a fantastic stay, unfortunately both lifts were out of action and as soon as we arrived we were offered a transfer to a different location because of this. We declined their offer because we were in-between shows and moving would have been more inconvenient than having to climb 8 flights of stairs, staff were very apologetic and gave us a complimentary breakfast which they didn't need to as it was our choice to stay. They also offered to carry our suitcase up for us (we declined because we could manage but appreciated the gesture). Our breakfast was lovely, the lady who greeted us and then also checked us out was friendly and also made a point of apologising about the lifts. The staff here are doing a brilliant job and deserve the recognition of that. On a more practical note, the beds were comfy, room was clean and considering you are right in the middle of the action we had a peaceful night's sleep.

Used the chain before, in particular the Old County Hall location on the Thames. Hotel retro fitted into a location so it has limitations. As noted in other reviews, reception is on 2nd floor. Hotel has two lifts, one of which was out of action for entire 3 night stay, the other also out of service for part of stay. Staff friendly, apologetic, and accommodating when we asked to move rooms due to issues (including complimentary breakfast by way of an apology. Bacon cooked to perfection, a rarity with buffet style offerings). Luggage storage limited and very popular. Get in early. Location and convenience is the key feature of this hotel. The heart of London on your doorstep. County Hall the better of the two hotels in terms of quality, but the location is a huge +. Would score higher but its Hotel is constrained by how it was fitted out. Plus rooms helped improve overall experience.

Location is great, but there is a nightclub which is open til 3 am on the premises and the pounding bass and noise is really loud not only in reception, the breakfast area and the stairwell but certainly on the third floor. We had two rooms there and couldn’t sleep. When I entered the room and realised, I called into reception to lodge a complaint. I was told the noise was outside and beyond the hotels control. Having gone out, returning when the outside entertainers had packed up for the evening, I realised the noise was from the Ruby Blue bar next door. The noise got worse and the vibration of the pounding bass in the room made it impossible to sleep. I asked the bouncers when the music would stop, not until 3 am. I asked to be moved but the hotel was full. I ‘ve been offered a move to a higher floor tomorrow, but am currently lying awake hoping 3am comes soon.

The location could not be in a better place - everything you need - food, theatre, cinema, casino, Tube - all on your doorstep. Couldn't complain about the check in or the breakfast, both were amazing. Beds were very comfy and the rooms were clean - classic Premier Inn. However, there were a couple of big cons - the lifts were constantly out of service (thank gosh we only stayed one floor above reception) and the drains were blocked so much the toilet had essentially no flushing power and the shower water could barely drain - had to ask to get a plumber in to sort everything in the end - reception lady said he'd be on his way immediately - he never came. Also the fire alarm kept going off, staff were clueless.

We experienced a wonderful warm and genuine welcome from Jo. As I checked in she explained the covid cleaning policy and I have to admit the hotel was spotless and smelt very clean. We only stayed one night but there always appeared to be staff cleaning touch points in public areas. This is a brilliant location, we chose the location because it meant we could walk and only make one tube journey. Leicester Square is surreal at the moment because it is so quiet. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The only reason I would chose a different Premier Inn in future is because for us once the theatres and nightclubs are open this area would be too busy for us, that's our personal choice. I can see how this would be brilliant for people who love being in the thick of things.

Great location and we all managed a really good nights sleep, depsite it being very crowded and noisy outside it was nice and quiet in our room. The only and quite a big negative was, again (seems to be common with Premier Inns from our experience) was the lifts. When we arrived to drop our luggage off, before our check-in time, there were 2 lifts and neither of them were working. Then after a day walking around, when we went to check-in after climbing 2 floors, on sore feet, to reception was fine, but I was not prepared to climb another 5 flights to our room on the 7th floor. Luckily someone was resetting one of 2 lifts and we were able to make it up to our room without climbing the equivalent of Mt. Everest. Decent breakfast and friendly staff.

This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. 10 day before my arrival was informed that the lifts would not be working. Tried to call and email about changing/ upgrading my room and didn’t get a reply. When we arrive we had 1small towel 1 large towel for 2 people for 4 nights. The shower was running warm ,hot, cold water every 20 second. The restaurant/bar was also closed due to a leak in the ceiling. The room thermostat wouldn’t let you lower the room temperature. If you were over 5ft 6in the hairdryer cord wouldn’t let you dry the top of your head. Also took 25 day to get a reply about our complaint.

All 3 lifts were out of order when we arrived. Reception is 2 floors up and rooms are up to 8 floors up. We left our luggage at reception and returned at night after a show. As the lifts were still out, the staff decided to transfer us to another Premier Hotel @ Farrington. That property was OK. There was quite a bit of noise from the night club at street level. I had read about lift issues in oder reviews. They obviously have not spent the money to repair them. I think this is the first time I would recommend to absolutely not staying here. I had booked due to the central location., but everything else made it not worth it.

Location was great - best thing about this place. Other than that, the rooms are small and seriously need updating, only one elevator was in service and it was sooo slow, we preferred to use the stairs, couldn’t sleep due to how loud it was especially the music from the club beside it, shower was broken and wouldn’t stop dripping, and the room shook when someone used the elevator. Also, we were told to book an additional night to guarantee an early check in (we booked the night before), spoke to someone twice on the phone to confirm this, but when we arrived they told us they gave our room away and we would not be able to check in early so we wasted money on an extra night that is unlikely to be refunded.. would not recommend.

  • Hannah Burrell

Awful hotel. When we arrived all seemed okay, but when you return at midnight you realise the hotel is on top of a nightclub which plays extremely loud music which can be heard all through the hotel (we were on the sixth floor out of eight). On top of this the toilet was in need of repair and was leaking into the toilet bowl continuously causing another annoyance. We rang reception only to be offered a complimentary breakfast or a room transfer( what use either of these would be at 01:30am I don’t know considering the music would be an issue in every room). I will be taking this up with premier inn directly and would not recommend this hotel to anyone that values their sleep.

No, this isn't the fanciest hotel around. But the location in the heart of Leicester Square is amazing. Our room was large and updated. The furnishings aren't the most lavish and the level of cleaning is not five-star, but the service was good and, again, you can't beat the location. We had expected our room to be noisy, given we faced onto the square and there was a sports bar directly below us. But our window had a multiple panes of glass and the walls were apparently thick, so it wound up being very quiet. Would stay here again. People who give this hotel a low rating need to take into account the price and the location.

ALERT! Stay away from the hotel! They entered my room even though I put a DND sign on the door handle and stole my money from the suitcase I hid among the clothes!! (No secure safe!) Left a key card that wasn't mine inside the room and didn't clean the room, only cleaned the money! There are no cameras in the corridors, there is no report of who opens the door. The systems are not working. Three days in a row House Skipper knocked on my door, woke me up. According to the hotel, she does not understand English and therefore does not know what the DND sign is.

Basic hotel in need of modernisation and refurbishment. Central location but no comfortable bar/lounge to relax in or wait for people. Rooms basic but clean. They also have a kettle and a very small TV. Plug sockets not in great position for using items such as phone/tablet whilst in bed. Unfortunately, you can also hear everything e.g. Neighbours blaring music, people walking past the room. Only 1 lift in service which was very slow, stairwell rather grotty as other option. Staff were very helpful and accommodating which is the reason 3 stars have been given, but they do deserve to work in better quality premises (again would suggest refurbishment is overdue)

  • Samantha Brook

The reception staff were great, very friendly. The location is perfect for tourists and it was a great price for the location. My only issue was the cleaning staff. Loud phone call outside our room, followed by a more senior member joining, the pair then shouted outside our room at 9am until I finally went out to tell them we were sleeping. I told them I didn't have a do not disturb sign, she said it was ok, but didn't actually give me one. The next day, I was in the shower and my partner was sleeping and the house keeper walked in, saw my partner sleeping and left. No harm done, but if they'd have found us a do not disturb sign, this wouldn't have happened.

This is a Brilliant Location for being right in the middle of all the best restaurants and Shops and Pubs !! The hotel is very clean and is Triple glazed and you definitely do not here any hustle and bustle that is going on outside once your in your room !! The breakfasts are fantastic as always but being near local cafes we used user eats to try a few new things for breakfast !! We slept fantastically as Always the beds are sooo comfy , will definitely stay here next time we come to London all staff where great and extremely helpful all the time from extra pillows to getting more towels

Appalling stay - anyone with small baby’s stay away to rooms was like ice . Service was shocking, been spoken to rudely and lied to number of times. Cleaning lady said they turn the heaters off at night when I asked they said no. 2x other strangers staying there complained about the cold too! And on my way at check out there was another guy complaining about the room been so dirty . Overall between the staff , room cleanness and food I’d give it a score of 1 Avoid at all costs manner of the staff is disgusting

In the heart of the West End (on the corner of Leicester Square) this is an ideal hotel to stay in for easy access to Theatre Land and a multitude of restaurants, pubs and bars; not to mention the buskers and entertainers who frequent the area. Worth mentioning that the lifts were not fully operational during our stay, so if you need to use a lift please ask the hotel if they are working before booking. The in house restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals and prices are very competitive (and the food and service is very good).

Who needs sleep? If you go to the Leicester Square hotel at the weekend you will struggle to get any sleep. They have a nightclub next door that pumps music out until the early hours of the morning…They promise you a good nights sleep guarantee but exclude external noise, I could understand if this was a person shouting in the street but not their next door neighbours nightclub, I can guarantee that you will not sleep well if you stay at a weekend and if you don’t sleep well….tough, they have your money.

There were 2 lifts; one was permanently out of order and the other went out of order for part of the one day so had to use the stairs (fifth floor) and it took me 15 minutes to check out and 14 of those were waiting for the lift. Location is amazing, it allows us to visit main attractions just few blocks around. The size of the room was fine, also it was important to us that the room was very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and very helpful when I asked them for a particular place, The Wallace collection location. Also, the food was ok, I will say we found fair variety for the price. The only but was the lift that was not working but we have not issues using the stairs. Overall, excellent location, good service.

The staff are amazing at this place. My partner got very sick in the hotel and I cannot thank Joanna enough for her support, comfort and assistance. As well as her other female manager and the man who let us check out late for free. Every single staff member went above and beyond and made a difficult night a lot more bearable, I don't know what I would have done without them. The location of the hotel is also unbelievable, comfy beds, clean room, overall fantastic service with genuinely kind staff members. Thank you Joanna xx

Excellent nights sleep in really comfy bed, however! We booked a family room that was grubby. Carpet dirty , hallways grubby and dirty, awful paint job and repairs not what you'd expect of a company such as this. It was like staying on a poor B & B. Staff and location made up for the room but I really am still shocked at the price we paid for the very below average room. In fact we bought slippers as God knows what had been on the carpet.

Not the best experience in fairness, flooded room and electrics going off! Finally evacuated when the entire hotel was flooded. Should have been sorted a lot sooner and clearly been going a while as when we got in the room the kettle blew the electrics! Lady at reception was doing a sterling job in moving everyone and making apologies but it really should have been a team effort, not left to one, already stressed, member of staff!

I haven’t even been able to stay yet, and the service is terrible. I’ve been trying to call at various times for two days now. I sit on hold for a few minutes, then a bot says “there’s an unusually high number of calls”, says to call back later, and hangs up on you. I cannot make the change I need online, so this is incredibly frustrating. I’d rather wait on hold in a queue!

Rooms are very small and the elevator can be slow. Breakfast is decent and the location is very central (perhaps even too central!) The ceiling in my room had some water damage and the night staff seemed to have limited English. The building has a pretty exterior though and the views facing Leicester Square are interesting. It was remarkably quiet in our 4th floor rooms given the noise on the street.

Pleasant clean room, though heater doesn't get warm. Comfortable bed. Good size bathroom & excellent shower. Staff friendly. Excellent location. Saturday night, rather noisy, but nothing too terrible. It's the center of the west end & even though it's still a partial lockdown, extremely busy. However I slept well. I would recommend, as long as you consider where it is & potential noise.

The rooms are very small but seemed clean. The hotel itself could do with a refurb. The staff we found really friendly and helpful. We would go back.

Excellent service and rooms, unfortunately the sound proofing or the rooms was not up to what I have experienced in most of the other premier Inn locations I have visited

Hotel was nice enough. Looking a bit tired now though. Disappointing to have no lifts working at end of stay. Staff very friendly and helpful though no complaints there.
