Booked two rooms for a birthday night out with the girls. Location was fab, a five minute walk to the main part of Bristol and restaurants like Turtle Bay and Las Iguanas. There is also a Loch Vyne and restaurant right downstairs for ease. Few minutes away from the Old Vic and Harbourside restaurant boats. We were a bit worried about parking but turned out to be very easy, there were spaces right outside on pay and display for a max of 16 hours for about £8 which only takes coins not card, but you can pay through the RingGo app which is very easy once it's set up. However, it's a bit of a pain as you can only stay there for a maximum of sixteen hours and then need to move as it's no return for an hour. We had to move the car to a neighbouring street and a new machine number first thing before breakfast but there were a couple of spaces there too. Failing that, the NCP is literally about a minute's walk around the corner, much closer than I'd thought. The beds were incredibly comfortable, I got home and ordered some of their pillows from the website as had such an amazingly comfy sleep. Will be buying a mattress too when mine dies! Reception staff were always helpful and raised no objections to our getting a delivery kebab at 2:30am! Breakfast was good, you have to order hot food from a menu but continental is on buffet and the full English was fab. Tea making facilities in the room were much appreciated and the shower was great. Also hairdryer provided which is always welcome especially for a cheapish hotel. Had a few other people on a night out on the same floor but the room was silent, very peaceful. We got an Uber to the waterfront clubs and back to save our heeled feet and the cold for £4 but you can easily walk it if you have sensible shoes! Fab stay, will come here again when staying in Bristol. Thanks for a great night!

I stayed here for 4 nights while working in the area. The hotel is clean and modern, as was the room. The double bed was very comfortable. The room has air condition which was quiet enough to be able to leave on all night. Which was great due to the weather being very warm. The area around the hotel is cobbled streets with little traffic so quiet at night. The hotel staff were always very accommodating and welcoming. Parking is suggested to use the NCP car park withing walking distance. The hotel can swipe the ticket to reduce the cost from£24/night to £18 something/night. Street parking is a lot cheaper and the were plenty of spaces available, pay at machine. Next to the hotel is the bar and block restaurant for breakfast and meals. Again staff were great and food was excellent. Rib eye steak one of the best I've ever had. Tell them your from the hotel as I got a great deal on the 2nd night. Lots of other restaurants, bars and takeaways within a short walk. As far as premiere inns go I would say this is one of the best.

This is probably the best Premier Inn I’ve been to. The staff were friendly, happy and very helpful. I spoke to one about my booking and my room, they patiently helped me. Best of all, I wasn’t on hold for very long before the staff member came on to help me. I called them again on the day of my stay, again, fast answering, friendly and helpful. I liked that the person answering the phone, was the same one who greeted me and I could thank him personally for his help. He saw that I struggled with the lobby door and my bags, he rushed over to help me, I didn’t even have to ask. I explained that my friend who was rooming with me, would be arriving later in the day and needed her own keycard, again, this was no problem. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was big and firm, great for our backs. The view was gorgeous and of the river. I didn’t order food, but it smelled amazing. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Bristol. Thank you

My partner and I stayed here in December 2022. I'm no stranger to the premier inn and know we were supposed to check in from 3pm. On arrival at 3pm we were told we'd have to go away and come back in an hour, so regrettably we Disappeared for an hour then return to a lobby full of other people waiting to be checked it. We then had to wait an Additional 2 hours for the Receptionist (who was lovely and no fault of their own) to Check in customers and make-up their room one customer at a time. Finally when we got our room we thought things would be fine from there. About 2 hours later we had two power cuts which did something to our TV. I went down to mention the Tv not working and the receptionist just told me she diddnt know what she could do about it. Not ideal.

We stayed at the Premier Inn, King Street, Bristol for the first time and we were both quite impressed. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was clean and appeared well maintained. The room was a fairly standard room for a Premier Inn although the bed was a standard double and not a king size. Everything that you needed for a couple of nights was in the room. Breakfast was served in the restaurant next door and the menu in the room was different from the menu in the restaurant itself. The quality of the food was OK but we have had better and the staff in the restaurant were efficient but did not appear as if they really wanted to be there. We did check-in on line two day before arrival but had to check-in again when we got to the hotel and so I am confused as to the purpose of on-line check in. We would definitely stay here again bit would probably go elsewhere for breakfast.

Stayed for a few days. Staff is okay, the room is spacey and there was telly, kettle, hair drier, 3 towels, good pillows. But. The carpet stank, the cutlery extreme dirty with big fingerprints on both sides, the building was trembling every time the wind blew or when just a big lorry passed by and then all the furniture in the room vibrated too, for a few hours I thought the telly will come off the wall but luckily it didn't. I could not sleep. Also the aircon was terrible, sometimes it got reset to 21 degrees, even when I set it to 23-24 because it was cold, and then I just noticed it got noisy and started to blow cool air, maybe it is sometimes centrally adjysted? I think it is a vad idea and not user-friendly. Once I had to stand at the console and set it 3 times because after like 10 seconds it got reset, twice... I won't return. Too pricey for such a low quality.

  • Sam Edge

Stayed here one night on a business trip. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Clean, well-equipped double room with a very comformable bed, powerful shower, bath, ample shampoo/shower-gell, large Freeview TV with HDMI input, excellent heating/air-con. Plenty of power sockets in sensible places. Room was reasonably sized for a city-centre hotel. Attached pub/restaurant served good evening meals and excellent breakfast. Very reasonable price. Great central location. Bedside tables can double as dressing stools to augment the single desk chair. Internet speed via the free Wifi isn't up to doing video streaming or video chat but you can upgrade to their faster service for a moderate fee. The Samsung smart-TV had built-in cast/mirror functionality but because it wasn't connected to the WiFi and was locked down this wasn't available which is a bit of a wasted opportunity.

  • Jason Mills

The room and facilities were good, as is our usual experience with Premier Inn. It's in a lively part of Bristol, with lots of good-natured revelry outside: this was audible, but did not disturb our sleep. The recommended Queen Charlotte St car park is not cheap even with the hotel's discount, but is only a short walk away. The location was perfect for our visits to the Watershed cinema and the Bristol Old Vic theatre. However, on our second morning the adjacent eatery was unable to provide breakfast, and we were instead directed to another Premier Inn nearby. It happened to be a pleasant day, so we didn't much mind the 10-minute riverside walk to get there, and the food was good; but really this is not on as a solution, as it imposes on our time and energy. At the least we might have been offered a refund or a taxi. Nonetheless, a decent place to stay.

  • Shirin Hodgson-Watt (The Ghost Ship)

The negatives first - Premier Plus room, but ‘ultimate’ wifi appalling, dropped out constantly. TV guide didn’t work, and most channels showed no programmes. Shower flow weak and shower door prone to leaking. For some, noise may be an issue as it’s right in the heart of the harbourside, but this didn’t trouble me at all. Positive? Lovely location in the old part of town. Room clean and comfortable, mattress very comfortable. Fridge very useful, and finally a hotel with a window you can open! Restaurant area light, airy, and well designed, even if you have to leave the main hotel and go around the corner to access it. Staff throughout friendly, welcoming, and helpful, in hotel and restaurant. Great breakfasts, including the best vegan sausages / bacon I’ve yet tasted.

Only good points comfy bed good breakfast friendly staff. I have disability needs. We were placed on 2nd floor, the bed was very high had trouble climbing in every night. The bath sides were to highr for me to climb in so had to put up with washing at the sink. The windows were impossible to open (due to health and safely) the air conditioner wasnt strong enough to cool down the whole room so we ending up sweating all time....as for the card keys only worked once at a time we ended up having to exchange them 5 to 6 times during our stay not good at all. Will only recommended to full abled people, as for myself i will not book with premier inn again and only choose hotels that accommodate my needs.

Good Premier in in the pub area of Bristol namely King Street. On arrival the staff were helpful courteous and efficient. I didn't even have to check in via machine as in so many other places. Room was clean warm and quiet although the windows outside could have done with a clean as they were so dirty you could hardly see out. Breakfast is handled in a separate building around the corner and is around £10ish if you book on the morning. Hotel is also convenient for Temple Meads Station from where an airport shuttle bus departs regularly for around £6. As I was not too well at the time I booked a taxi from reception which cost about £28 including tip and took about 20 minutes at 10 in the morning. Allow extra time in congested periods.

  • Jabir Mir

Stayed in a Premier Plus Room. Overlooked the Apple Cider Bar and Riverside. Its close to bars, pubs and clubs. Its in a brilliant location for exploring the harbourside and City. It is lively in the evening, but we liked the bustle. If you don't fancy breakfast at the Premier Inn there are lots of places within a short stroll. We also had a lovely meal at the Aqua Welshback which is a few minutes away.

Premier Inn itself was fine, bland and generic but fine. The lift was out of action for our entire stay - we weren't informed prior to our stay. Meals were taken in the Brewers Fayre pub attached to the Premier Inn. We were warned that they were short of staff - didn't realize they meant the kitchen staff though. Food was very inconsistent, atrocious one night, bearable the next. Felt more like a bush tucker trial then a night out. Unfortunately paid for the meal deal through work so gritted teeth and saw the week out...

  • Lana Wills

Do not book if you can't sleep through a lot of noise. There are bars literally surrounding the hotel and the noise goes on until about 3am. We booked 2 nights and left after 1 as it was too much. Make sure you complain to reception straight away if it's an issue for you. The reception staff are great but there isn't anything they can do about the location. Head office wouldn't refund our 2nd night because it was past a certain time that we spoke to reception.

Booked 2 nights. Checked in to find the restaurant closed, was told we could eat at other premier inns but that turned out not to be the case as other guests had reported being turned away. Decided to stay an extra night and requested bedding changed when we went out in the morning. Got back later that day and bedding was not changed. Total lack of communication due to lack of staff understanding English and poor service. It may not always be the case but I would advice staying elsewhere to save any problems.

I wasn’t a guest here, but I did store my luggage here through Stasher. The staff here were so kind, friendly and helpful. There was one woman at the front who was especially kind - I didn’t get her name, but she was from the United States. When I was having trouble finding an uber to get to Castle Combe, she promptly called a taxi for me and waited with me until it arrived. I loved that! Even though I wasn’t a guest here, it seems like if you do choose to stay here you’re in good hands!

  • Amman Latif

Stay away for work quite a lot, not a bad place really but he room layout was a little strange and the size of the TV was very small, view out of the window was so bad the curtains remained drawn. Staff very very friendly also the staff at the restaurant were very good but the decor and and stench from the restaurant was terrible, needless to say I ate in my room. Real downside is the extortionate parking, even after the discount and it's too far to walk if you are not traveling light.

  • Julia Heinz

I stayed here for a night to catch an early flight. + clean room, super comfy bed, helpful and nice reception - very noisy area (student bars, lots of outside seating on 2 sides of the building). That's no-one's fault but my lack of research but. It was impossible to sleep through the usual bar noise and later on drunken shouting matches. - their designated airport shuttle service at reception stinks. DO NOT USE THEM. - steep prices would not stay here again

Clean, friendly and exactly what you expect of a premier Inn. The bed was so firm and comfy and the room was in great condition. The hotel is next to some bars and other businesses so there is a bit of early morning noise with deliveries or refuse collection, but that's typical of most city hotels. I'd definitely stop over at this hotel again, in fact we purposely chose this one having stayed previously as we knew it was a nice one.

  • Cheryl Pears

Web site location needs abit of updating. Nice and clean. Lift not working but this was posted on website so we phoned in advance to request room on lower floor which we got. Fresh lemon or cucumber iced water in reception daily which was a very welcomed nice touch after exploring Bristol during the day. Location wise is great everything near didn't have to walk far to all the major attractions. Would recommend we had a lovely stay.

  • Diana Entwistle

Large, comfortable & clean room. Very helpful staff. Reception efficient and replaced missing remote control promptly. Breakfast set us up each day. Bastian & Rebecca made us very welcome and were super cheerful and patient showing 6yo how to get the most out of the buffet. Great location for checking out hot air balloons in Queen Square each morning.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Easter weekend, first night was alight, but then had accusations by staff saying we've been chucked out when we were asked to come back at 7am because there was one extra person with us. Got told to leave when we woke up later that day but after checking cctv the manager let us go upstairs after half hour of arguing with a stinking attitude. Overall, nice hotel, not so nice staff.

  • Ruth Giles

The staff were always very polite and helpful. My friends and have frequently stayed at premier inns. Room was very clean. We booked a full breakfast with poached eggs. In all honesty it was abysmal. Bacon was overcooked and dry. Likewise with the beans. The poached eggs could have served as tennis balls! So disappointing as we had always had a lovely breakfast at the other Premier Inn's we have stayed in .

  • Lena Smith

Hotel ok Let down badly by restraunt. Which seems to be getting more common for me as a regular traveller. Poor service, bad food, no hot breakfast due no kitchen. Only one server. No chance of competing with other restaurants in the area, if I hadn't paid for meal when booking room I'd have gone elsewhere, and really wished I had. Only two stars as the hotel experience very good.

I knew the hotel lift was not working and staff offered help with luggage but it was still a nuisance to be on the third floor. The room was clean and there was a bath and shower. The wifi did not work for me despite help from staff. The adjoining pub was perfect for meeting friends. There was noise from the very lively street but the location is very central.

  • Chris Lee

We had a great night stay. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but the room is well done and modern. The room was quiet and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and professional. My only slight annoyance was the bathroom fan, which is quite noisy and comes on when the only light for the room is turned on. Great place, I'd stay again.

  • Gill Castles

Warm reception staff. Comfortable beds, however, bedding was dirty! Carpet was also dirty....found someone's used contact lens by my bed! Bathroom, towels clean, good shower. Lots of noise from other guests, especially above! No on street parking so used nearest NCP which cost £20 per day.

Excellent room - clean and comfortable. Good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast disappointing - staff were excellent, efficient and friendly, but the poached eggs were very overdone and the tomatoes uncooked but burnt on top. My husband didn't get the scrambled eggs he ordered with his cooked breakfast. Suspect the kitchen was under-staffed.

Premier Inn Bristol was my accommodation for a recent stag do and provided a decent stay. Room was spotless and well made up and ideally located a short walk from the centre. Didn't sample the restaurant but from perusing the menu looked to be reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

  • Eileen Shambrooke

Good location for restaurants and shops. Room was usual high standard. Ordered full English breakfast for both days. Day one food was substandard and cold, day two most of menu not available due to "problems" in the kitchen. As a result would not choose to eat there in the evening

Love the premier inns…as a touring cyclist we always appreciate that we can keep the bicycle in the room, clean and tidy, lovely reception area and restaurant…very helpful reception staff…and the local area is stunning, roughly 5 mins cycle from station or about a 10 min walk…

  • james martin

I left my charger in my room by accident, returned later in the day to grab it to then be told there was nothing handed in but a plug. I double checked my bag and jacket and had definitely left it in my room so I can only assume the housekeeper had pocketed the actual cable.

  • Matthew Olsen

Great location, really friendly staff, clean refurbished room and bathroom. Would have been 4 stars but breakfast was the best I have had in a Premier Inn (cooked by James) and I stay in Premier Inns a lot with work. Everything was cooked perfectly. Cheers James.

It was a nice, clean room with a really ugly view... not that you could really look out of the window. The staff were lovely but I didn't have any exposure other than checking in. It's a nice room but you get what you pay for when it comes to commercial hotels.

Standard premier inn, not much else to say. What I would add is the breakfast, which is not the usual buffet style at this location. Ran by an independent restaurant and really good quality. Avocado toast with normal breakfast rates has to be a good thing!

The bed was too soft, the plumbing needs work (no u-bends in the sinks), the bed sheets weren’t changed, the iron wasn’t great, and worst of all the stairway stank more and more of sewage the later in the day it got... it was however in a great location.
