Everyone at the reception were very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Neglected patient and do not treat patient with respect and dignity. Called appt a hour before appointment three times and didn’t even have a courtesy to apologise. She didn’t even notice how important this patient needed the appointment. Which is for my daughter who is only 14 weeks old! Not paying attention to what she is doing becaus how can you called and ask to speak to my daughter who is 3 months old baby twice??? She is suppose to have her second immunisation jab and it’s all delayed to when her third immunisation jab is due. This is worrying and neglected my new born. Who is going to be responsible if anything happen to my baby??? Sound so rude when I asked if there is any earlier appt because this is urgent for my newborn baby. She didn’t. Care and said in a very blunt voice No ! That’s all we have. They cancelled my smear test appt without informing me and reschedule appt which I not aware of. Doc S (man) is shocking!! Very unprofessional, disrespect my dignity and no compassion. Ask me to leave and go to see other female doctor opposite his room if I want a doc who show care towards their patient. He said she will care and listen so go and see her okay, please go now. Had a urine test couple of months ago. Given a little tube to put my sample of urine by the doc but need to drop it at the reception with a sealed bag. But shockingly reception said they have no bags!!! Asked me to provide my own bag otherwise they will not take my urine sample. As a patient am I suppose to provide all this when you go to your GP?? Complain a few times but no response from the manager or anyone. Nurse miss G were rude and when i question is she can be a bit more gentle with my newborn, she said ‘she is only a baby’ !! Doctor S (again) check my newborn at 6 weeks check up without even using a gloves!!! I mentioned this on the suggestion box couple of times and matters seems to get worse.

5 years I have been with this GP. Reception staff has always been cold and rude. Doctors never took any of my concerns for value, and rather made me feel stupid for even bringing my concerns up. One of the nurses told me I didn't suffer from depression I just needed to do exercise. Every single time they send me an invitation for cervical cancer test it never gives me an option to refuse the invitation, they tend to send it when I am unable to take any of the dates. When COVID hit I was diagnosed with cancer, which was surgically removed by a private surgery (not my decision) who then instructed me to arrange and appointment with my GP for aftercare. On the phone with the doctor I was outright refused any walk in appointment with the words that "we don't do this, the hospitals are just trying to push work on us" I got a one week sick notice for work, even tho I had just endured a lymph node biopsy which left my left arm with an semi open hole in the armpit, and the whole arm partially paralyzed(I thankfully regained most of my mobility, the upper arm area has still not regained all feeling in it). I obviously got an infection which I had to treat myself and with the help of my Pharmacy. Fast forward to earlier this year, I had been removed from my GPS patient list without any warning or notice. I went there and "re-activated" my account. Now today I received a letter telling me I would be removed from the GP cause I was outside the catchment area. I live a 10-15 minute walk away from the practice. My whole street is still on their catchment map online. If I could give 0 stars I would. Thanks for destroying my trust in any doctor.

If it was possible to give 0 stars, I would. My father has had degenerated disc for the past 2 years. It has been so hard to book an appointment with this surgery and all they give him is painkillers for his pain. Little did we know that his herniated disc has exploded and if he doesn’t have an operation soon he can be paralysed. Despite multiple talks with the reception and supervisor I can never get an urgent appointment for him, I have requested a MRI and for him to be transferred to a hospital for this to be looked at. This was last year November, an appointment was given finally from the hospital for August this year. The reason for it being this late is the GP’S mistake with paperwork. I had to go somewhere private for them to just tell me that my fathers condition has gotten worse and need an operation urgently. You can never get through to the reception over phone, they never get back to you and help. I have also had issues regarding my mother, I have been trying to get her a sicknote for the past month and now her benefits have stopped because the doctor never called us for the appointment. And getting an appoint is impossible anyway. I went to the GP taking time off of work in the morning because they don’t pick up their phones. They said they will call me back for the sick note. Did they every call? Of course not. I am definitely changing my GP. If you care about your health you shouldn’t go here.

I would give zero starts if possible. Firstly they have messed around with a simple referral form for over 1 year, GP first sends me to the wrong specialist (wasting NHS money) specialist then writes a letter to GP and me saying what specialist is required (this was 3 months ago) since then I have heard nothing back from porters Avenue gp, call the unprofessional and inadequately trained reception and they say we will send you out a letter. They do not train these front staff properly as each of them gives a different answer to the same question. Secondly my pregnant wife needs a maternity form which has been ongoing for 3 months, she’s passed the 15 week threshold to hand this form in, so she can get maternity pay, yet when explained his these guys have no sense of urgency or care. She has been told numerous things on how to get hold of this form, all very different stories, for example to book a appointment with gp which she did upon which go said this was not required, to have wrong form now they are saying we must go to midwife why not bloody tell us to go to the midwife 3 months ago you stupid people. I am sick and tiered of this place I don’t understand how they get away with this kind of behaviour and treatment of patients. This is the worst place due to front office staff and certain GP’s.

Absolutely pathetic.I had to share this horrible story with everyone in the area do people know what type of service they are providing when people are in need.

I have called almost every single day for 10 days and never had an answer. Finally today after calling for 25 minutes after 6pm, the phone was answered with no explanation given for the wait what so ever. I have strong suspicions that the phone lines are muted extensively by the reception team without any fair reason. I have been given false information and had referals, follow up treatment requests and prescriptions lost or severely delayed through incompetence. The issues don't stop with reception - Dr. Navaratnam who is unfortunately often present at the walk-in clinics is shockingly rude, patronising and insulting. If she became a doctor to care for people, not an ounce of her service shows it. The whole practice is riddled with problems that make attending an uphill struggle, causes stress, uncertainty and sometimes medical consequences.

I would give them a rate of 0 if i could, due to the very very bad service and useless reception. Has anyone ever been able to book an appointment through the phone? I’ve been ringing the place to make an appointment for about 10 times a day and no one has picked up? What is the point of having the reception if they aren’t going to do anything there. Today, Me and nearly 10 patients also waited outside the place for more than 30 minutes in the morning before 8:00 to come for emergency appointment then at 8:00 they said there is no doctor for emergency because the doctor called in sick. Why did they not put up a notice at the front of the gate so the patients would not have to wait in the cold weather or why did they not bring in a replacement doctor? Is that the way you treat all patients??

I have been registered with this practice few years now. Used to have very good service,unfortunately not any more. Receptionists are very rude and unprofessional ,no empathy for patients. They are not aware of their job discribtion as they are already comfortable with their jobs,chatting,eating food at the front desk while patients waiting to check in.never answering the phone calls. I read all the reviews and totally agree with other's reviews. This GP has emergency morning appointment but you will never get it.people on the reception desk never answer your phone calls ,if they do, they handle your inquires with rudeness, unprofessional manners. This practice should spend more time on staff training and deliver better service or else shut the surgery.

This is a serious concern and should be looked upon by some one in power urgently. I request Council Leaders, MPs and other authorities to please look into this. Though the Government guidelines clearly states the patients can be seen Face to Face, it is not happening. Been 3 days now I am on call every day for my little daughter and no one answers. The Out of Hours Surgery Don't answer. There is a huge queue when you call 111. We think we really need an answer as to what is happening. Who takes responsibility if something goes wrong. We do appreciate there was a time when there was added pressure due to COVID but this is now back to Normal. I have been on call since 9 this morning with no one answering and writing this review at the same time.

I have been waiting long and hard before writing this review. This GP needs to be shot down and everything reevaluated. In a whole year I was never able to reach them by phone. NEVER! Even if I wait 30 mins, an hour or 2, the never answer the phone! Or call back! Most of the times I walk over there for an appointment, prescription, referral, anything. But today I am feeling very sick and dizzy, can't even get out of bed and walk. I really needed an urgent doc appointment. How can I go there in my condition? Who is to blame if I fall on the street and break something? Absolutely ridiculous and the neighbours should gather formal complaints against the NHS for leaving this place to function considering all the reviews and our experiences.

19/12/23 This was the 1st time visiting here. This health centre is a nightmare. Trying to park in the carpark of this place in the pouring rain with no spaces available. Waited for a space that didn't ever come. Waited so long that I had to cancel my appointment and rearrange for the 20/12/23. When arriving on the New date 20th Dec. I was informed that I will probably get a £84.00 parking fine even without being able to park or leave my car. It seems that even not being able to park means I'll get a fine. How would I have known this as a first time visitor. If I had known and had left my car badly parked so I could enter my reg number on a machine inside the building. I WOULD HAVE ALSO GOT A FINE.... *********

I wander if anyone read this reviews regarding this horrible surgery. I have been suffering a lot with my wife’s appointment. No one answers when you call them. Call back system never works here as no one call us back. We end up making telephone appointments over patients access and then this get cancel or reschedule in last minute without asking our availability! Dr’s in there don’t even want to listen to the patients properly. They would hang up when they feel like without even asking. You wait for 7/10 for your appointment and dr’s not listening to you over the phon makes you more uncomfortable and annoyed as we never get full advice or supports from them. Dr jeevrani is worst one ☹️

I called the surgery today after 2 years they manage to answer the phone… the receptionist LATICIA picked up the phone very unprofessionally… no hello no how can I help nothing she was to busy talking in the background with other people… after about 5 min she decided to speak on the phone even with that I don’t know if she was talking to me or other people at the background which is so rude and unprofessional… why do you have staff like that working for nhs why? People are dying because of people like LATICIA who have no care in the world for peoples health .. SORT IT OUT PORTERS AVENUE YOUR SURGERY IS DISGUSTING TOWARDS PATIENTS

This is unfortunately the worst service you might get in the ''famous'' and ''beloved'' NHS. Everytime my family had an issue it took more than 7 days in average to book an appointment. Never answer the phone - never able to explain why they don't have capacity. Especially the last year they are hiding behind the COVID situation to give cheap excuses. WHY do you register more patients if you cannot serve them? WHY do you leave a helpless and rude receptionist have that first contact with people in need? WHY do they NEVER answer the phone? WHY DO WE HAVE TO THANK NHS WHEN EVERY SINGLE INTERACTION IS A STRUGGLE?

This place needs to be shut down and burnt!! The place keeps their phone lines on mute because reception staff are not doing their jobs AT ALL. The Dr. Nazaratnam discarded my friend symptoms and let her condition get worse. EVEN AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. Also after bringing results from a specialist aboard with evidence. SHE IS INCOMPETENT! Protect yourselves and your families do not go here. Would you go to a one star restaurant knowing you will get food poising, no you would not, so do not do that to your health.

Worst gp practice ever can never get an urgent appointment a patient suffers from mental health medication on repeat but never sent to pharmacy on time the left hand don't know what the right hand is doing all the time I have to ho back to gp medication gets increased when you do finally get the prescription is in the old dose the dont read up the notes of the patient reception stuff dont know what they are doing either it needs to be closed down or employ people that are experienced and mature very dissatisfied

What an awful service and rude, vindictive stuff at Porters Avenue GP surgery! Been trying to book GP appointment since 5th October and still no result, today is 11th October and still no appointment. I called the surgery, didn't get anywhere even though that I explained that I'm having surgery in couple of days and I need to see GP about my medications and aftecare. They also put down phone on me, how unprofessional and rude is that?! Giving me different excuses and stories every time I call, nightmare

I was totally unaware of any changed to staff etc but when I came in for my appointment today I had to ask if they have changed management because I have called twice in the past 7 days and the improvement is beyond measure! It's gone from being on hold for 2 hours to the phones being answered in 5 minutes! Also the welcome in reception when attending my appointment in person wad friendly and welcoming! Thank you, long overdue.

Doctors dont take patients illnesses seriously, take too long to refer to specialists, took me 2 years to get referred for artery disease, and not offered medication, i now cant walk far because of their delay. They have ignored my eating disorder for years.They often like giving their personal opinions not professional ones. Very unsympathetic and uncaring practice and rude reception staff. Do not join if you want to live!

Worst GP ever. Please avoid. My daughter have been sick for the whole week with bronchitis, the fluid started build up on the right side of the lungs. They did not gave the appointment until Saturday last week when it got cancelled 30mins before the appoint and rescheduled to today. 4 days later. We had to pay money to get private doctor. Could you imagine if we waited 10 days to dee doctor in this GP? Disgusting service

There was no options to give zero star; I had to put one star to write this review went from bad to worst - better the old staff, not helpful at all; they don't have a clue what they doing, last minute cancellations, miss placed documents and won't take any criticism. Worst gp, I waited two hours for them to answer the phone, the longest we’ve waited for them to answer was 5 hours (where they would pick up the phone and then put it down) they answered the phone after two hours and explained they couldnt hear me but then mid way through explaining my problems ,i was cut off by the caller and said that she got my details.. after apparently not hearing me.

Very rude nurse. Worsed experience in my life. Would no recommend. Stay away. Update. I was helping my father with this GP because of his bad English, and I gave them my phone number. Unfortunately, he passed away last summer. But they still keep calling and texting me all the time about upcoming health checks. No matter how many times I tell them, he passed away.

This is possibly the worst GP surgery in Europe. I was on phone for over two hours today 14:17 to16:22, 28th Sept 2022 only to be deliberately cut off line. This was not the first time it would happen to me. Residents are better off without this horrible surgery. It is a waste of public funds. Porters Avenue Doctors' surgery is not fit for purpose. ZERO STAR.

Worst service. No compassion, not even for a suffering child. Dr. Shantani refused to see my child just because she missed the 15 patients allocated to walk-in service. We had been waiting since 8:20a.m till 10:00a.m when she had finished seeing all the walk-in patients, still she refused to attend to a child in pain, but would rather go for lunch.

I usually dont write a review, but I must say that this gp is even worse than the one near barking council, I have tried to call them for 2 days now and each time I wait around 2 hours with good signal and everything but after 2-3 hours they hang up without picking it up, if I had a closer gp than this one I would instantly swap gp centers

Let's just say I'm very excited to be joining a new gp in the new year because this one is by far the worst I have ever attended. Useless receptions, rude staff, no-one EVER answers the phone, the customer service is shocking. Would give this a minus rate because 0 is too high let alone a 1 star. You'd be mad if you signed up to this GP.

These people never answer the phone. I called multiple times then had to go in. There were 3-4 people just hanging around and when I told them, they were checking the phone, confused. Trying to get results a week later, same thing happened, and the week after too. Multiple calls, no one picking up. A disgrace. You should all be fired.

Never answered the phone. Walk in with sick baby half 9 to see doctor gp was empty no peopole receptionist said they are fully booked. Walk in should be from 8 till 10:30 but they said they take only 5 patients? They stealing our money. Terrible service. Council should investigate what on earth happening there.

I was trying to book an appointment on the phone, was in the line longer than 2 hours but no one answer and then requested a call back and now 72 hours passed but did not receive the call back.To be honest, I don't see the reason for their existence. Just wast of public money and time.

Probably One of the worst GPs I’ve ever had and ive been with them for years, upon ringing you will be on hold for God knows how long despite the receptionists always being sat at the desk simply ignoring the phone, No care in the world whatsoever for their patients.

I have been a patient at this surgery since 2012. Male staff member from the admin team has always gone above and beyond his duties, particularly in times of acute crisis. Great to see a team who are invested in their job and providing a great standard of care.

I joined this surgery 5 years ago,excellent service, the Doctor I see Sharma, he got my knee replaced within 6 weeks. My ears have been really bad,he sent me private,that took 10days. Reception Bad they are rude. See dr Sharm you wont be disappoint.

Its a worst practise you can find! So mad ! Im on the phone for last 25 bloody minutes . Still no one answers ! Always 2 ppl in the reception, why you wouldnt answer that dam phone.

Doctor R Dharma is not fit for practice. He is the most uncompassionate one in the whole surgery. I strongly recommend him considering another profession.

Always declining my medication. Of its sue the 12th then they won't sign till 14th-15th. States on my GP app medication is issued.
