So the honest truth is that this park is really very nice, now that they've been renovating it. It's taking shape. That's the good. I'm gonna give you the good and the bad or I just wouldn't be doing you any favors. Now the bad... Well, if you're big into drinking and smoking drugs, without fear of getting caught, then this is the spot (for you). It's a Bexar County park, so don't expect to see any deputies come through or constables, or park police, or even regular police. It's not regulated and honestly, I've never seen any police type presence in here. The "parents" smoke and partake in their substances with their babies, toddlers, and little ones running around them. So stay out of the general park area. If you CAN, rent out the gazebo, it's really cheap compared to city complexes. 9am to 8pm, with a $55.00 reservation fee, shoot that can't be beat. In the hot months, it's hot as heck, but more trees and shade are helping a little. A dedicated crew member comes and empties your trash regularly and stuff. The kitchen area is closed but, when it's open after the COVID-19, you'll have access to a walk in freezer, bbq pits inside with exhaust vents, and and outdoor pit. Really cool, no pictures though since it was locked. Stay out of the "park" area to avoid the problems and stick to the gazebo area. And anticipate that random kids will come into your party "area" and acquire things. Overall, aside from the drug use and alcohol around us, we've neve had a major issue. Stay safe and watch your surroundings, pay attention to your kids, and don't go to the restrooms solo.

This park is great when it's clean. After any sort of holiday (the latest being mothers day) the park will be absolutely disgusting. Every where the eye can see is littered with plastic bottles, caprisun pouches, countless straws, rotten food, chicken wing bones, and even occasionally vomit. Some of the people who go here have no consideration or manners (dog walkers frequently let their dogs drink/lick from the human designated fountains). Employees eventually get around to cleaning it after several days, but I wouldn't advise going here immediately after a holiday. The other major issue is the fire ants all over the grassy areas. Be careful if your kids wander away from the playground, it takes seconds to get covered in ants.

This park is the best kept secret in town. Beautiful greenery, trees, amazing playground; clean, plentiful bathrooms! Good parking, too. This park is a jewel !!!! Groundskeeper lives on site and is on top of ensuring that the trash cans don't overflow. Sheriff's officers patrol the park. The Pavilion is well-appointed and comfortable. Book it months early!! Beautiful, friendly families enjoy the park and it's not crowded on weekends. Enjoy it... But please, Please, PLEASE clean up after YOURSELVES and your event!!!

Nice little park but the water fountains at the entrance trail are turned off, very bad during summer. You need to go an extra mile to jack white trailhead to drink water. Also the maintenance man was sitting in his cart next to the restroom, watching me walk towards him and then drives away as soon as i get there realizing he just locked it! It was 738pm and the park closes at 8. I had to pee behind the restroom building in daylight, very embarrassing and unnecessary.

I loved the park. And for the people mad saying there’s no motorized vehicles allowed for non workers, Well duh that’s the park rules lol. The workers don’t make the rules. They just enforce them. The workers have ATVs because that helps them do their job maintaining the park.If you don’t like the park rules then don’t go lol. Some people just like to find something to complain about. Every time I go the park is very clean and well cut and friendly workers.

Big playground, with lots of activities. The park has not been maintained in a while, so a lot of the playground equipment is worn down. The substrate also needs to be redone in several places. While we were visiting, a bunch of teenagers were hanging out and smoking, it seemed to be a regular hangout for them. I have not had a chance to check out the trails, but hopefully they are managed better than the playground.

Large park with multiple playgrounds and a huge amount of open playspace in the grass. Trees with benches foe tired adults to read under while the kids play. A full barbecue setup and picnic area. This is a nice park and everyone here was really friendly as well.

Love this park at lunch time a couple times a week--great place to just relax and clear your head. Employees keep it very clean (can't speak for the bathrooms, never use them in the park). However, the "ONE WAY" signs are a joke and need to be removed..heck, the park employees don't even obey them (and they put them up!) so why should the rest of us!?! Just silly.

Very nice and clean Park Beware of the Spanish guy in a red Ford Focus he always wears a hat he wears glasses I'm African-American and all I can say is that he's very rude to me every single time I go there the only reason I keep going it's cuz he's not always there but when he is very rude very uncomfortable

Best park so far hands down. This lovely park has three play areas with bbq areas all around. Plenty of space to run around and be a kid. Also there are swings for babies and children. Also one of the parks is specifically for 5 and under with padded fake grass.Go here to have fun with the family.

The park there is very nice. Well kept and clean. The maintenance department are very kind and honest. I lost a cell phone there and they held on to it and I was able to get the phone back. For that I am truly grateful for their integrity. I would recommend that park it's very lovely.

Quiet, hidden park on the east side. Great playgrounds and pavilions that are good for picnics and parties. Grass is healthy and there’s walking trails and a small creek for exploring. Lots of shade, clean restrooms, and even a kitchen area in the pavilion area for parties.

First time being here,and Easter is the reason. My brother n law held the feastable. Great energy and I would return a second time. Kids love it and that what counts. Recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new spot to BBQ or take the kiddos out for the evening.

Very nice park, the playground was very clean and there were no broken slides or swings. Quiet place to have a family function, you can rent the pavilion, it has a kitchen. There is also a baseball diamond & a basketball court. My grandkids loved it.

Its a pretty good place except for all the cops watching and pulling you over on holidays there. And if you used to trails and they havennt cut the grass, please stay on the trail because they have alot of coral snakes. But its nice and quite.

Hidden Gem! There are so many play areas for the kids. You can tell they are tailored to different ages, which was great for my little ones. There are also "workout" areas throughout the park. We didn't go through the trail but it looked cool.

Had a great turn out for a baby shower. Mother nature cooperated. For $90, it was very well worth it. Access to the kitchen was a plus. The trees in the park had beautiful fall colors. Will definitely use again for future parties! …

My church has worship in the park here and it was my first time in the park. And I keep coming back. It's nice, clean restrooms, pavilion to rent included kitchen and barbeque pit on the side of it. It's a really great park for all ages.

No motorized vehicle allowed! Was having a B-Day party for my son with a riding lawnmower to pull the kiddos around in plastic barrels with wheels. But I guess not But that fool is riding around in a ATV‍♂️ …

We visited in the am on a weekday. Clean restroom. The pavilion looked awesome for gatherings. BBQ pits, real nice playground , workout areas, and overall a nice clean park. Can't wait for a weekend BBQ with the fam.

I've been park hunting for my kiddos and this one is probably one of my favorites. It was very quite and big. It has playground for the littles and the older ones. You can also find picnic table and some nice shades.

Wonderful park and friendly helpful staff. Bathroom clean nice playground area for the kids. We rented the pavilion and it was awesome with huge fridge and grills to use. Will return next year for family reunion.

Been coming to this park when I was in 5th grade in 2000, and been coming here since then as a adult. My son love this park too because of the slides. We enjoy our time there and will be returning again.

First time at this park. I was there for my nephews 2nd birthday. The park was very quiet, plenty of room and clean.

Designed very well! Restrooms are clean. There is plenty of space and things for kids to do. In this day and age, it's great to see kids play instead of their faces being in electronics.

A nice quiet place to play. They upgraded the play area, and I love yhat I can run around the whole park, get a good workout and still see my kids and or get to them fast if they fall.

Lovely Park away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is playground equipment for kids, picnic tables and an exercise course all in a grassy shaded setting.

Love the fact that it's always clean! I aslo like the fact that there's 3 different play areas and that the play area for younger(toddlers) kiddos is separate.

The park is large & beautiful! But it has too many stray dogs, random cars with people just sitting in them & the speed bumps are too high for compact cars.

There are so many areas to relax and let your kids have a good time at numerous play stations. There are areas for adult activities again. Very clean area.

Nice trail not complete shade but shady enough. Bring bug spray near water so theres abit of mosquito activity. Also on the trail there's trail stewards.

It's really a clean park, with a good playgrounds and space for the kids to play.It would be nice if they had a water mister area in the summer months.
