Bicycle Shop
"respect, I want to inform those people who have not been deceived yet,I have a completely negative and bad experience with the team in the shop,I brought a bicycle with a cracking problem in the pedal shaft,an alleged master named Steve persuaded me and convinced me that something should be changed in the rear axle of the wheel, and I knew that this wheel was healthy, because I personally disassembled it and lubricated it,after 8 days of waiting I went to the shop and told them to finish the repair of the bike here and now,the previous agreement was that I would leave the bike today and tomorrow they would call me to pick it up,after my order to finish the engine immediately, the staff became arrogant and the girl with a hat and a tattoo on her arm won't let me access the bike, she keeps it next to her in the workshop and there it is, as if I can't study but explain to her remotely what the problem with the bike is,I was told to come in an hour to pick up the bike, when I arrived, I was told that they had changed something in the last axis of the loom, it was broken, which is a lie of course, the wheel was moving left to right, they say they don't know what the problem is, but they advised me that maybe I need to change the gear on the wheel or maybe the whole wheel,to take my bike unrepaired and additionally damaged I had to pay 80 dollars,as I told them, it still cracks in the pedal shaft, because they need to be lubricated or, if the bearing is damaged, replaced,I disassembled the last wheel at home and tightened the axle and the movement left and right disappeared, the wheel is completely healthy and all this in 5 minutes,They I can learn everything about bicycles at school, because I spent 30 years in my life disassembling and building bicycles,I'm here as a refugee, I don't have tools to repair and it's expensive to buy, it's cheaper to pay for repairs, but they don't know how to repair, and that's where I bought kryptonite for locking, which I paid dearly for,my advice is to bypass this store"

I notice I'm the only one (thus far) writing a review in English. So, as I often do, I feel compelled to apologize for my Anglophon-ism (I know. It's not a word. But you get me). I'm an avid cyclist, with multiple bikes. I live in the Plateau and have done the rounds of the bike shops in the area, seeking one that's reliable and well-priced, with good customer service. After taking a few trips to Pignon Sur Roues--one to purchase, and several for servicing--I feel I can confidently say that this is a very good bike shop. The selection is good, pricing is fair, and the service team is helpful, responsive and quick to make repairs. Most important to me, though: they don't gouge for every minor piece of servicing. I've found that many bike shops do this, and while I appreciate that charging a premium for servicing may be an important revenue stream for them, it doesn't inspire much loyalty in me. If I could give PSR 4.5, I would. The .5 reduction is due to the fact that some of the staff can be a bit brusque. But, on the whole, I have been very pleased with my experiences at this establishment.
I have been their client for more than two years. Last time I went to the shop- as my bike was vandalized- I paid more than 100 CAD bill and they returned my bike with a deflated tire. I never thought it was their fault pushed so hard all day; but, later on realised that my back tire was returned to me deflated. They did not do anything to compensate it when I called them to complain. Next day, when it was raining heavily, I also realized that the mudguard "recommended by them" does not work at all. When I went to the shop to change or to get a better one, the owner responded me that he can not change because he can not resell it. I do not recommend this place at all. There are definitely better bike shops in Montreal.
The floor staff are very nice. The bike techs are a bit more direct, but very helpful and knowledgeable. I've had to order multiple parts for Devinci Wilsons(2008 and 2011) and the shop guys are always helpful with finding the right part numbers. They also order them quickly and at a good price. I usually pay 50% of what I find online for OEM parts on my Wilsons. They sold me derailleur hangers for $20 CAD, the cheapest ones I could find online were $30-35 USD and you had to pay for shipping. I have been coming here for a couple of years and will continue if the service keeps up!
Second bad experience here, the owner is very arrogant and not helpful with clients. Had call with specific part request prior to coming there, he had promised to keep the parts, yet he didn't have them and gave me a real hard time when asked for them. First time I went there, I spent $750 and got an equally arrogant service from him. I prefer to give my business to people who are nice.
I’ve been there more than 20 times and every time I’m satisfied with the service there. Sometimes I buy parts, sometime I get my bike fixed and I also bought a bike there. I don’t know any other place better than them. They are professionals fast and they don’t have any problem answering your questions. Best team in town there for sure.
I have never had my bike serviced here, but I always go here for parts. They have an excellent selection and price point, and even some hard to find parts and accessories. The mechanics often seem very busy and don't seem to have time to respond in depth to inquiries. Great bike shop, highly recommend
Both experiences I've had with this shop have been excellent. They are usually busy but will try to help you out with a quick repair on the spot if they can. If not, they will have your bike back to you within a week. Very friendly service, will be going back for any of my bike needs. Cheers
I bought new pedals and stripped the bolts trying to take the old ones off. Called 4 places, they all told me to bring my bike and leave it to them for 3-4 days because they were too busy, except them. They fixed it in literally 6 minutes and charged me 5$. Will definitely come back again
Another “could be nice” store that lacks of service spirit. The guy was unpleasant as hell and didn’t even take the time to listen what I had to say because it was “too late”. The kind of guy that makes you purchase on Amazon! Sad for the rest of the employees and the store itself.
They went above and beyond for the maintenance on my cruiser for a reasonable price. Why I decided to write a review was because the cashier took the time to install every add-on I purchased (seat cover and bell). I'll be coming back next time my bike is in need of some love.
I had very weird experience here today. At first, the employers seemed nice and fixed the bike quickly. But it did not worked. So I went back. The mechanic ignored me for 10mins(there was no other customers and he clearly saw me). I was
Have had so many bad experiences here. Owner once refused to process a credit even though I still had the credit receipt. Made up some excuse about credits being only good for one year because the information in their system is
Got a great experience the first time, great info. So can back the next day to get the job done... The second time was DISAPPOINTING! Save yourself a trip, go just around the corner for amazing service no questions asked.
The owner Andrea is a special guy... He thinks he's the best mechanic in the world but really isn't. He's EXTREMELY slow and charges A LOT for something basic and he thinks it's okay because they are high-end bikes.
I didn’t know much about the bikes so naturally I had MANY questions I wanted to ask. Emilie, patiently answered all my questions and she was very pleasant and was very professional and nice too! Thank you Emilie!
They are the nicest people! I'm a complete bike noob and they always patiently answer all my questions, give great service, my bikes are always in top shape thanks to them. Highly recommend!
Pignon sur roues helped me out of a major jam by express shipping an obscure part across the country to me in Victoria Bc. Thank you very much Patrice and the rest of team. You rock!
Personnel très compétent, excellent service à bon prix, rapide et efficace. J’y fait entretenir et réparer mes vélos (route et triathlon) depuis des années.
Quick and well priced. Happy to have them next door, I can always count on them do a good job.
Always excellent service and better prices than other shops nearby.
I love this little bike shop. Great service and knowledge.
Best mechanic in town. Good prices on parts and labour.
Helpful and friendly, will come back :)
Bike knowledge and great service!!
