Physiomed Danforth has the most friendly and positive atmosphere. As soon as you enter you feel comfortable and confident that you will be looked after. This clinic has been my healing place since September 2020 to present. I am still a patient there. Remembering the first day after my accident I was in so much pain that I thought no one can help me and through the 3 years journey I have felt my life slowly but steadily improving. My journey is not over yet I haven't recovered completely yet muscles take time to heal and strength again but I am very positive that I will recover slowly but surely. All the staff friendly helpful and full of compassion. The moment you enter Sandy and Doreen make you feel at home. The are efficient and skilled. They handle on the administration part of the clinic plus the reception and I am amazed to see how they handle the most stressful part of the clinic with grace and smile. Always greet patients with a beautiful smile. They advocate for you communicating with your insurance company doing all the leg work so you can focus on recovering and not stress out with paperwork and figuring out the payment. they are very efficient in their skills and an asset to the clinic Deepa my physiotherapist with extensive knowledge of the whole body function and I was overwhelmed how she can recognize and understand which muscle is hurting and how to figure out treatment plan. She works out the best treatment for the wellbeing of the patient. She is very compassionate and understanding and listens to the patient about their issues and concerns. She dedicates the treatment to her best PTAs and always follow up on the recovery progress. I had few temporary PTAs they were helpful but My permanent PTA (Physiotherapy Assistant) Mary Joy is a delightful and beautiful soul, who does the actual treatment delegated by the physiotherapist. Mary Joy has a miracle healing hand I would say... she works hard on the muscles and joints to make your body get stronger inch by inch. She works on every muscle of the body and the best part is she explains me what each muscle functions are and how the treatment helps repair the function of the muscle. She makes me exercise for strengthening each muscle. She has a lot of patience and cares for the patient's recovery. I call her my miracle healing Angel. Maria (The massage therapist) She is am amazing massage therapist. Her massage helps with deep tissue pain and repair. The important part for the muscles to heal. I would recommend physiotherapy and massage together as treatment to have more impact on healing and recovery. Lastly Dr. Hartley who is the owner of the Clinic who is a chiropractor. She is great person , greets every person who enters the clinic. She is always very welcoming and supportive to all the clinic patients and does everything she can in helping out with all the patients The best part is she is blessed to have the most wonderful and dedicated staff who care for their patients. Private change room with shower, clean bright gym with lots of gym equipment and tools to help the patient achieve success in recovery, weight loss, or to gain strength and mobility. Physio is not just for when you get injured, it's a way to help you maintain your well being. The quick story: I have been going to Physiomed Danforth for just over 2 years. Why would someone go a clinic for so long? Well, during my initial assessment and treatment for one issue, I had a trip and fall which damaged my shoulder resulting in surgery and further physio. Even though I have fully recovered and have full mobility of my shoulder, I continue to book appointments for regular maintenance, and to help me to lose weight and be a better me! I've developed some long term and personal friendships with the staff at Physiomed. The personal touch they provide along with all the services, is what truly makes this clinic worth going to. It's beyond the clinical.

On February 3rd, I needed some physiotherapy for a Muscle Tear. After a long research I decided to give Physiomed on Danforth a try and am glad I did. I can tell you that from my first to the subsequent visits after that I have always received a very warm welcome from Sandy. On my first visit, after filling the paperwork Sandy with my authorization called my insurance to get the details of my coverage. At first I was a bit apprehensive as to why and she appreciated my concern and reassured me that it is just for record purposes, that all treatment is strictly at my request. They did just that. Since then I have been there 4 to 5 times and I feel nothing but gratitude. From Sandy to Doreen, to Deepa, and my wonderful therapist Riddhe are amazing!!!! They demonstrates a high level of compassion that you really need in times of pain. I started to feel better from my first session and it has seen steady improvement since then. I highly recommend them, you want people who knows the right treatment for your condition. From my experience they deliver with compassion, respect for my time and money and did not take my pain for granted.

I feel like I have struck gold with Physiomed Danforth! I have nothing but praise, gratitude and admiration for the help I have received here. I wanted to thank the amazing staff who provide a great experience from the moment you walk through the door. Since falling ill 2,5 years ago I have had numerous pain-related issues and have been fighting tooth and nail to get back every inch of the life I used to have. At Physiomed I met incredibly competent, knowledgeable and experienced staff (shout-out here to Joyce, Joseph, Maria, dr Hartley, dr Tabrizi and Doreen!) who provided me with most thorough assessments, passive and active physiotherapy, personalised exercise plans, massage, and chiropody treatment (orthotics). After just 4 months, I am doing so much better and feeling so much stronger. Last but not least, I wanted to mention that the facilities (changing room with a shower; bright, spacious and well-equipped gym) are also part of what makes this place worth a visit.

I booked an initial chiropractor appointment. The lady on the phone explains the initial chiropractor appointment is 1 full hour since there is 30 min assessment and 30 min treatment. I show up 5 mins before my apointment and am told by the front desk I was booked for physio. I told them i specifically came for chiro treatment They respond saying "can you do physio treatment instead". They said it was a mistake and try to blame me saying i didnt specify while booking... after using several excuses like we have new people being trained for the front desk. Another staff appears from the back and claims i spoke to her when I booked the appointmeny and says why cant you just see a physio. I respond saying no thank you. That is a different discipline and philosophy of treatment. I asked for a manager or person in charge for a few minutes to raise my concern. I was told the chiro doc will call me back but nothing yet. This place is pathetic and unprofessional.

My 1st appt. at Physio-med Danforth was in 2018 with Dr. Hartley, I had suffered back issues for years but, just put it down to old age, Well I can tell you I was wrong, after 4 or 5 visits & minor exercise instructions my back felt great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, I developed a neck/shoulder pain at work one day and when I called (in tears from the pain) they squeezed me in that day. Dr. Hartley & the Physiotherapist treated the frozen shoulder issues and within a week I could start to move it again. Dr. Hartley is currently treating a knee and hip issue I have, although I can now stand & walk she provided me with clear instructions on exercises I can do to relieve the pressure I put on my knees on a daily basis. I have recommended this clinic to family & friends because I know they care about everyone that walks through their doors.

I had been suffering from severe sciatica before I visited Deepa , a physical therapist at Physiomed , almost 2 months ago. I could barely move or bend my right leg as sciatica had overwhelmingly affected it , hence I had to use a walker and literally felt paralyzed at times. I must say that Deepa has helped my symptoms improve so much ! Deepa would strategize her treatment along the way based on the feedback and progress I would make every session. She exactly pinpointed the affected areas , worked on them, and offered guidance as to what exercises I needed to do at home to make my symptoms heal faster. Apart from her acute knowledge of her practice, Deepa really cares about her patients and is such a kind soul. The staff at Physiomed has also been wonderful and friendly , and I would like to thank Sandy as well for all the heartfelt help.

I can't say enough good things about the excellent treatment and services I have received from Dr. Hartley and her team at Physiomed Toronto Danforth. From my car accident 15 years ago through numerous sports injuries, repetitive strains and most recently a fall on the ice. They have always been there for me with a no-compromise-approach to resolving my issues. One notable difference is Dr. Hartley's commitment to training and using the latest practices and technology. It seems every time I go back they are applying a new treatment method or using new equipment in my treatment plan. A real improvement over other providers I went to in the past who looked at me like a dripping pork chop or a meal ticket. If you want real care by truly passionate practitioners, this is the only place to go!

I cannot recommend Physiomed Danforth and their associated staff enough. I mean, it's amazing to find a place that has a holistic team approach to wellness, interactive work with client but the people here are truly a pleasure to meet, work with, get to know, and interact with. To be honest, they think beyond treatment and your experience is of being welcomed like a lost long friend whether you're seeing D or S at reception and checking in, physical therapists and assistants like D and R, chiropody from Dr. T, Chiro from Dr. H. I can't sing the praises of the individuals who make up this team enough! If I'd have found a place like this years ago I'd have saved myself a lot of shopping around for individual treatments and getting nowhere. Truly an amazing resource for physical health.

FROZEN SHOULDER EXPERTS !! So grateful. ok, so I've taken way too long to post this review. My shoulder pain came out of nowhere and became so unbearable that I could not sleep. 1st tried physio but then quickly transferred to Chiro Dr. Joanne Hartley who seems to be the "frozen shoulder" expert. I mean it. She truly is! She treats many for this condition, which is apparently quite common, I had no idea! I didn't know what caused my pain, only that it started with minor pain and over a few months developed into not being able to reach my waist, behind my back or touch top of my head. Unbelievable pain, and I can take pain. I started end of Sep.2020, it's now Feb.11/21 (a bit over 4mths) to get me (almost) back to normal (pretty close now). Thank you Dr. H. and team :)

My wife and I have been going to this clinic since 2018 and everything was fine. However, this summer, the clinic began pressuring us to undergo physiotherapy (definitely so they can get insurance money from us). Despite expressing that we would schedule it at our convenience, we faced difficulties when attempting to book an appointment for my wife on November 21st. The front desk claimed Dr. Hartley was too busy for new patients, even though we're not new and she knew us. Nov 22nd, I went in person but Sandy refused to allow a discussion with Dr. Hartley and became extremely aggressive which is an completely wrong way to act with patients. It's unethical as a doctor to ignore patients and prioritize financial gain over actual care for patients.

I was not impressed that my insurance company was called by Physiomed staff an ask about the coverage of all the services they offered. When I came in for one specific issue . I am also not impressed when I asked/ called if they dealt with a specific issue , I was told not once but several times that yes they dealt with this issue and that they had therapist that specifically deal with this issues. Well they do not and the therapist I saw told me herself I would have to be referred to a clinic that dealt with my issue . Which I ended up having to google myself. The one good thing that was good was the physio therapist that did see me at the one an only appointment I had at this clinic. She was professional and thorough.

Dr. Hartley and her staff are absolutely amazing! I walked into Dr. Hartley's clinic over 6 years ago with a severely damaged shoulder, back, neck, and knees, a couple of weeks after getting hit by a car and almost losing my life. Through some very hard and caring work by Dr. Hartley and her staff, I was able to get back to living life. I still have some lingering effects from my accident but whenever an injury flares up, the first thing I do is book an appointment with Dr. Hartley and her staff. I am over 50 years old and still play hockey, go on long hikes and have an incredible quality of life. I cannot say enough of Dr. Hartley's commitment and dedication to her patients.

I spent a year going to see Dr. Hartley and her team twice a week to repair a serious injury to my back. The team was always very professional and supportive. It was such a great experience that my wife has now started therapy with them for her back trouble. The staff is always very supportive and willing to work with you to accomodate changes in schedule, but their time slots are very full. This is not a walk in clinic however. Do not expect to get in to see a therapist or Dr. Hartley without an appointment. Also, they are very festive and get right into every holiday. A refreshing bit of fun, not normally seen in doctors offices. Thank you for all of your help!

I have been going to Physiomed Danforth for the last six months and they have been wonderful! I have received treatment from a couple of their PTs (Jaymin, Shwetha) and am currently being treated by the PT assistant Mary Joy. They have all been such thorough professionals. I really look forward to my weekly muscle strengthening sessions with MJ! The custom exercise plan that's available on their patient app, is also very useful if you want to continue doing the stretches at home. I have tried out several other clinics but the PTs there were clueless... I'd highly recommend Physiomed Danforth for someone's physio needs.

I cannot recommend this team of professionals enough. I have been visiting this clinic regularly for almost 4 months now and my speed of recovery for my shoulder issues has even astounded my specialist doctor. I have gone from zero movement and debilitating pain to almost normal functioning. I no longer require surgery! My progress has been a credit to the amazing team - from chiropractic, physiotherapists, massage therapist to administrators. I had visited another local clinic last year after a bad car accident and found the two to be night and day. I wish I had found Physiomed sooner!

Two years ago I suffered a stroke which left my right side somewhat weak. Needless to say I lost a lot of muscle mass and suffer from chronic nerve pain in my shoulder that permeates down my arm. Since I have started the slow road to recovery I have been seeing a wonderful physiotherapist (Mary Joy) who has done wonders for me. In the time I have been seeing her I have improved dramatically. She is working on repairing the body as a whole and I have come a long way. I’d like to say thanks to the whole team for helping me to get my body back and restore a sense of normalcy to my life.

I attended my first session at this location this day July 19/2014, with that said i have been to other locations of Physiomed and my experience was alright at best. I met with Joanne Hartley and after only one session, I was able to move my arm once again. Joanne has 20+ years experience and it shows. She was very thorough, precise and the treatment methods she recommended and performed we're, to say the least "amazing" I guess that comes with years of experience. After having survived the removal of my upper lobe of my left lung because of cancer, 4 rounds of chemo, trying desperately to keep up with my employers ever increasing work expectations and live life without succumbing to my new physical limitations, left me feeling drained and physically "twisted." In a few short, intensive weeks, I still get fatigued from pushing myself too hard, but at least now I can stand up straight and hold my head up high, facing the world as I always have... Head On! Dr. Hartley and her staff are absolutely amazing! My husband and I have been treated by Dr. Hartley for the last 20 years. I don't trust anyone but Dr. Hartley to treat us. She always goes over and beyond to help us with our pain management. I have severe back issues and in pain 24/7 and take treatment from her on a regular basis. There have been times when I could barely walk but in just one treatment 80-85% of my pain has disappeared. She is a very kind and compassionate doctor. I cannot say enough of Dr. Hartley's commitment and dedication to her patients.

I am an Ironman triathlete and a construction business owner/worker. I have had a number of leg and back injuries over the years and Dr Hartly has literally given my life back. She has knowledge and experience that makes her treatments very effective. Not only do her rates seem low for her level of expertise but I noticed she often spends extra time on my treatment but doesn't it charge. She goes beyond always by giving advice for home treatment and offers great therapy products at reasonable prices. She is a caring person and a great chiropractor.

I suggest to anyone who’s suffering from any injuries or any other issues, needs physiotherapy, at least have a session with this clinic for once and find out yourselves how effective and efficient treatments they provide and how warm and welcoming the staffs are, hands on treatment, I tried other service providers but didn’t have this kind of positive and helpful response, not only I got cured from frozen shoulder, I had other medical issues from vehicle accidents, resolved in a timely manner, please give it a try and see for yourself….

My last experience at the clinic was very surprising, my husband and I have been coming here for the last 5 years and I didn't expect that from Dr. Hartley. The interaction with the front desk, Sandy, was beyond uncivil. Probably should think twice about who you put at the front as the face of the clinic. What was more shocking is that Dr. Hartley stood by all this. As a doctor who has been overseeing my care, it would have been appreciated if you had addressed the unprofessional conduct of your staff, especially towards patients.

I was experiencing pain down my back and arm that wouldn't go away. I tried acupuncture and prescription muscle relaxants, but they didn't help. I saw Dr. Joanne Hartley and she was able to diagnose me with herniated discs in my neck, reducing my fear and giving me hope. An MRI confirmed her diagnosis. Her treatment including neck tractioning and Graston Technique has helped to reduce my pain. I am so thankful for her correct diagnosis, her patience, and her treatments that are helping me heal.

Thank you Deepa and Vishap (physiotherapist) for helping me get relief from a knee injury in just one session , I feel so much better than I did in the past month. It was also such a nice surprise meeting Maria (massage therapist) at physio Med today , I first met her as a colleague years ago when we worked together at a spa and from what I recall she was always fully booked as she was an amazing massage therapist . Deepa set back the healing process of my broken ankle, I told her that what she was doing was hurting me. Her response was "no pain, no gain". I had to sit for 4 days will my ankle elevated and iced because of her "exercises". I went to another physio place near by and they were shocked when I told them what had happened. They showed me exercises and at no time was I in any pain. My ankle got better. Do not believe it when they say "no pain, no gain". Pain = injury!

Great clinic with great staff. Going there has a personal feel because everyone is warm, caring and gets to know you. It has a family type of feel. MJ is a superstar and she changed my life and still is! Her upbeat enthusiasm and extensive knowledge about the body makes you feel motivated to push yourself through recovery and feels like you’re always in good hands. I was blessed to find this clinic and attending my sessions is such an important part of my life.

The treatments I receive from Dr. Joanne Hartley, along with the orthotics I was prescribed by their in-house chiropodist Michelle Richardson has been nothing short of life changing. I am now able to do simple things like walking through a market without experiencing debilitating pain. The admin staff Sandy and Doreen are just wonderful people, always helpful and always cheerful. Basically they're people who are really nice and really good at what they do.

I injured both knees at work which Dr. Hartley's staff helped me with some of the treatments . However, Dr. Hartley kept me coming back for 3 months which did nothing for my injuries. I ended up with knee surgery for repairs of bone fragments and tears in the knee joint. She had me spend $1500 for a knee brace. It was a waste of time and money. She'll use up your benefits and you will end up shared time for treatment at $50 a hour.

I have nothing but good things to say about Physiomed - since my first treatment assessment I have witnessed and experienced a team effort of care to treat my chronic pain issues. I have seen other physiotherapists, but have never had such attention paid to creating a program that supports multiple aspects of my needs by multiple professionals. Love this team. I am very pleased with the services I received at Physiomed Danforth and have recommended them to several friends. I got a very comfortable pair of orthotics from Dr. Hartley, and excellent physiotherapy for both a very sore knee and hip from Deepa T. I have been seeing Deepa for Physio and she’s been super friendly and has been helping me with back and neck pain. Recently started seeing Dr Hartley too and first session was good. The ladies at the front desk deserve a mention for their kindness and good service! Sandy especially; she went out of her way to help me with figuring out my benefits which was much appreciated and she made it super easy for me!

A great facility with incredibly friendly staff! I went here after being rear ended in a car accident and they not only got me back to where I was before the accident, but by the end of my time there I was in better shape and had more mobility than I’ve ever had. The staff is friendly, professional, and do their jobs consistently at a very high standard. I think of all of them as friends.

All the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The place is always a pleasure to visit - beautifully decorated according to each season, and a calm and quiet ambience. Most importantly, there was a noticeable improvement quite immediately in my knees, and the plan for further improvements has been clearly explained.
