If I could give zero stars I would have. Worst customer service in any of the petbarns I have ever been in. Stand in line to be ignored by two of the checkout people so they can wait for the trainee to serve everyone and they can be lazy. Then first checkout finally realised I’m getting annoyed and decides to serve me and then tells me they don’t do cash at that register. Even though literally while hes printing a receipt for me to take to the only register out of three that does cash apparently, register two opens his till and swaps change. Pretty obvious register 1&2 had already counted their tills to close for the day or swap and didn’t want to count again. Register 2 stuffs around with little signs trying to avoid eye contact with me the whole time. I just left my stuff on the register and walked out. Never shopping at this place again.

Was over charged for a product. When I went back to the register to have this sorted out I was told I was not over charged, it was because 1 of the products I bought was cheaper if you bought in multiples. I was not saying that product was over charged it was the other one. I insisted I was right & reluctantly the cashier went to check the shelf price. She came back to the register, did not say anything & then proceeded to process a refund for the over charge. No apology was given at any point during the interaction. Let's say customer service was sadly lacking. I will.find a different store to purchase my pet products from in future.

I did rate them previously 4 stars but after buying 2 fish from Kedron store and one dying a week later and then replacing the dead fish from Carseldine store and it died a week after it's hard not to feel that their fish are not the healthiest. My 6 yo daughter is so upset that her fish has died twice in 7 days. Not sure if it's worth buying from this company. I've always found the pet food to be good and competitively priced but that was when they price matched. Not sure how as I buy online and have it delivered free.

Dont bother with this Petbarn. Always poorly stocked. They never have the right food when we come in. The last two months they haven't had any of the correct Royal Canin, meaning we never get the regular feeder, or the correct food and our dogs end up disliking the other dry foods we keep wasting money on. Im certain they do this on purpose. We've asked when more stock will come in and they keep telling us it'll be there next time. And it never does.

Good parking and has trolleys available.

If you buy from there frequently you get the best price, and bulk buy prices. Some items seem expensive yet they have what I want and need for my cats and dogs. Frozen, dry and treats. Not a big varied fish collection, like some others. Basic fish. Stuff for reptiles and a varied range of pet stuff. Staff are friendly enough. Not sure on their knowledge base, though they often ask to help.

My mate spoke to a lady on the phone there about trying to sell his baby Bourkes she said to come in and they would give him a good price only to go in there and was rudely spoken to by one of the conartists there and only offering him $40 for three Bourkes trying to tell him it was a good deal and then selling them for $150 ea..I will never shop there again..

The store was well equipped with much variety which was great. Friendly staff. The only issue I had was that the stock was quite dusty especially the rat cages, bird assessories and even the packaged food stock in the mice section. That did put me off due to hygiene and store appearance. Cleanliness is key when it comes to sales.

Second time I've been to the bald hills pet barn, staff are always friendly, busy but lovely. Always helpful and great for a chat, I had three lovely staff help me and went to great lengths to find info for me. The best pet barn by far for customer service and wonderful atmosphere. A smaller store but still pretty well stocked.

Waiting to be served twice - went in waited and decided to come back after I had been to another store. Went back in waited in the queue AGAIN it wasn't moving AGAIN so walked out and will never go into that store again - this is not the first time I have experienced this - Not very happy wasting my Sunday waiting in a queue.

Went there today (18/7/18) to buy a few fish, explain to staff that I had just bought a fish take from Kmart, asked for any advice and didn’t get anything as far as water care or anything, bought the fish and come home from work and they died, would have loved abit more information next time!

Just not enough range for small animals. Two staff didn't acknowledge me though I was standing in the isle next to them. One had a different shirt on, had the 'Area Manager' vibe, I don't think it was the store staff to be honest but you never know. The facility itself is really nice.

Had lovely service and help from the staff here. They've been a great help and easy to talk to about my new dog. I took him in a couple of times and the staff treated him really well. Lots of parking and small grassy patches outside if a pet needs to take a break.

Great service, prices actually were cheaper for toys then Big W and Kmart ( tho, these were on june sale & I saw they still had them on sale a week ago 2 good toys for $10 ) I bought a dog bed it was $89 but, I was fortunate as the cash register came up at $18.

Great range of products. Purchased a new harness for dog and got good advice. Often use the DIY dog wash. Good value and easy. Dog does not end up completely dry so take a towel. Was told ages ago they are installing a second dog wash but no sign of that yet

Was not happy with the way I was treated today by a staff member! You should never be sarcastic to a customer, perhaps some of the younger staff members need some brushing up on their customer service skills! It was an upsetting experience.

Good prices for a wide range pet supplies, especially if you are a petbarn club member. Staff know their stock and products I you need to ask a question. Store has a dog wash in store and dogs are welcome to come shopping with you.

This store is rather untidy, with pallets of stock usually up the isles and unshoppable. The male manager is really lovely but I find the older woman who I’m guessing is also a manger to be quite rude and condescending.

Friendly staff, other than that shop around. Dog tablets etc are cheaper on eBay, tablets etc are the same as petbarn. Find a great Seller an go for it . You'll save between 20 to 30 dollars or more and free shipping.

I've always found the staff very helpful and friendly. Signing up as a member, has always given us a good bit of discount as well :) My dogs love going into the shop and meeting the staff who are just so friendly.

We couldn't get what we're after but hey that's the story of 2022, it's a logistics nightmare for everyone. But the lady who assisted us was brilliant at letting us know how else to get what we needed.

The staff will always go that extra mile to help with tracking down a store who may have the product, if it isn't in stock. Very friendly and will help carry heavy purchases to your car.

The staff at this pet barn are amzingly helpfull even when they know you are not going to purchase that day and from that store as there is one closer to home.
