I don't like leaving negative reviews at restaurants but I had to make an exception for this one because of the terrible service and mediocre food. Overpriced meals that are nowhere close to Italian cuisine at all. I dined here on Saturday night and both the food and service were equally terrible. Our apps took over 45 mins to come out and our mains another 45 mins. I can appreciate that the kitchen was busy due to a party downstairs (which I noticed) but the servers or host never once mentioned that and did not once apologize for service being so slow. The lobster bisque soup, which I have eaten at many restaurants in the past, literally tasted like boiled lobster water with no lobster in it at all. The server was kind enough to waive it off my bill when I mentioned this to her. The Italian sausage and scallops ($36) tasted like frozen Italian sausages and they weren't even cooked fully - one of my Italian sausages was still pink in the middle while I was eating it. I was very disappointed by the entire experience and will definitely not be recommending this spot to family and friends.

I took a friend here to celebrate her birthday. The dining room was elegant but empty. We selected this establishment because its menu features fish and seafood. The special seafood platter we shared (at $110) looked amazingly abundant in the online photos but was disappointing in reality. It featured well-prepared grilled vegetables with a cross-section of fish and seafood served on a large wooden board. If the kitchen had served the same contents on our two plates, we would have been looking at one sautéed scallop, two shrimp, a tiny lobster tail, half a strip of overcooked salmon and a lot of oily (possibly frozen) deep-fried breaded calamari rounds, each. As it was her birthday, my friend ordered a five-ounce glass of wine which she deemed tasty ($18). When I made the reservation, I'd mentioned the birthday. Our waiter brought out a tiny chocolate lava cake decorated with raspberries. The service was good but the experience--given the cost-- wasn't special. There was no music playing and nobody but us. We could have been pampered and made to feel special. Instead, we just felt alone.

We stopped in here for an impromptu without reservations and were welcomed and seated at a nice table for two. The service was very attentive and the food was amazing. Warm bread and olive/balsamic oils were served immediately. We shared calamari - probably the tenderest I've ever tasted, followed by a crisp Cesar salad, and veal parm and seafood pappardelle. The house-made tomato sauce was excellent and the pappardelle pasta was amazingly light in texture. The portions were of satisfying size for restaurant like this. They have a large and interesting wine list with wines that you don't see here, and the server was very good at giving advice about a selection and we were very pleased with it. Overall this we had an excellent experience and will return soon. The food is excellent and the atmosphere unpretentious.

What a wonderful dining experience I had yesterday! Pescaraa Restaurant has a lovely dining atmosphere, with beautiful Italian music playing. Our server (I believe his name is Tommy) was absolutely knowledgeable about the wines of Italy and Croatia. My sister and I enjoyed a delicious glass of Sangiovese Cabernet Sauvignon highly recommended by him and he did not disappoint us! We shared a seafood platter which was delicious and flavourful. The seafood and vegetables were grilled which enhanced the flavours of the seasonings/sauce. We were also served freshly baked focaccia straight from the oven. Divine! The balsamic was delicious and made in house. Though I live 1.5 hours away, I will return! Highly recommend!

A recently opened nicely decorated downtown Oakville restaurant on Lakeshore. Last evening we dined at Pescaraa. Following cocktails, we shared a large Caprese Salad which was delicious. For entrees, we had Pan Seared Sea Bass and Slow Braised Ribs, both were excellent ~ tasty and delicious. We shared a bottle of Niagara wine. Service by Tommi was outstanding as he was personable, helpful and attentive throughout the evening. The price of the menu items, cocktails and wine was highly competitive. We recommend Pescaraa and think you will enjoy!

I have now been a few times at Pescara! Amazing food ! Chef Eranga and his team do a great job ! Very fresh ingredients! Great prices of food and especially wines! The wine list (both by the glass and bottle) is very good and I like the fact that even if it’s an Italian restaurant they proudly showcase some great Niagara gems. All you have to do is ask Tomi for the best wines to pair with your dish and you will get a great dining experience! Highly recommend -seafood platter -Chardonnay from Bachelder

Just absolutely love this new restaurant located in the downtown core of Oakville.( Lakeshore Rd. East). From the moment you walk into the place you are warmly greeted, and feel very welcomed. It's a beautiful restaurant, warm decor, soft lighting and beautifully decorated. The food was definitely 5 star. We enjoyed a couple of great appetizers, pan seared wild scallops, a trio plate of appetizers and pan seared salmon for the main. First class all the way! Will definitely be a go to spot for us in the very near future.

We ordered the seafood platter for 2. The fish, scallops and the lobster tails were lacking ie. the meat was soft and not pan-seared/grilled for a little crisp on the outer edges. Only the calamari was hot, crunchy and tasty. The spicy lobster linguine was NOT spicy and also lacking in flavour, including salt. It was a disappointing meal for 3 out of the 4 people dining that night. Our waitress was not friendly eg no smile all night or helpful when we asked about after-dinner drink and dessert options. Would not return.
