What an unfortunate experience we had at Pepper Leaf. We called to book a table but were assured we didn't need to. Once there we were seated and it took 15 minutes before a wait member came to our table to ask if we wanted drinks. I told her we were actually ready to order our meal. We were told she was only taking drinks but she would be back to take our food order. She did not come back for another 15 mins . We finally ordered entrees and mains. Entree came out 30 minutes later. We had now been there an hour. After we had been sitting there for 90 mins we were so disgusted with the lack of service and that there had been no communication with us we decided to pay for our entree and leave. I let them know of our disappointment with the establishments treatment of us . There was no apology or discount for our entree. In closing, what was so frustrating about this experience, is that we were never told once of any sort of wait. Neither on the phone when we called to book, when we were seated nor when we finally ordered. Final Word: This was my final meal before a 24 hour fast before major surgery and we both hadn't eaten that day. My partner and I are not wealthy and rarely treat ourselves by going out for dinner. Eggs when we got home never tasted so good!

Sorry guys but all I could find was good reviews when researching this restaurant so I feel it’s necessary to post this honest account. Food was OK, just, almost. This is the least Asian Asian restaurant I have been to! You will get a more authentic Asian experience in the food court. Red Flags: 1. Entered restaurant and stood there for a hour 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. 2. Forks, Spoons and paper serviettes set the tables. 3. Booked for 4, seated at a table for 3, another 10 minutes standing around, even though there was obviously plenty of room. 4. Authentic Vietnamese curry ‘signature dish’, was full of boiled potatoes and chicken that didn’t even taste like curry, might as well have been a maggi stir in the pot. 5. Grilled chicken on Vietnamese salad was literally a grilled chicken breast on a bed of lettuce, but it did have a slice of cucumber on the side. 6. I had to ask for some plastic chopsticks and These two dishes, a couple of beers and two chicken nugget kids meals ended up around $127 This is what you get when you ask your friends if they can recommend a good restaurant, won’t be doing that next time, it was embarrassing.

SERVICE: Friendly staff, was forgetful at times. FOOD & PRICE: Overpriced +++ * Dinner special for $23.90 - salt and pepper squid, enquired about the size of the dish before ordering, was told by staff that it is a main dish and is a big serving. What came out was entree size with 9 squids. Questioned the staff if this is what we ordered and they confirmed that that is the main size! Totally not worth the price. * Laksa - $14.90 - not at all laksa taste. Not spicy as requested. * Hot Pot - $ 18.90 - they may need to change the name of this dish as hot pot is different to what was served. It's a clay pot rice dish - however this dish was very wet, the rice was drowned in seasoning sauce. Very small portion for the price. * Jug of Soft drink - $13.00 - small jug filled up with ice even though requested no ice. Totally not worth price. Noticed their menu & prices are different to what is published on their Facebook page - seems like they have increased their prices. Will not return here.

Food was very good but that is where the pleasantries ended. We visited as a table of 3 on a Sunday evening. The place was empty when we arrived but rapidly filled up and the atmosphere got louder and louder. Snappy fellow seated us, and we waited a while and then had to request service for a drink. Then waited again to request service to order meal. Waited at least 45 minutes for meal while everyone else waited around us. Had to go up to the counter again to request dessert and waited again with our nicely stacked empty plates sitting uncollected on the table. One person taking orders who was clearly rushed off her feet. Eventually sick of waiting for dessert, cancelled dessert order and paid the bill to snappy guy who seemed really annoyed at us and completely uninterested in why we were leaving. Avoid!!

New to the area, felt like laksa after seeing a review saying best laksa, and a great picture. My partner and I thought why not try this place. Asked for no nuts (nut allergy) advised order will be 1hr 10 mins thought wow this must be a really popular place, sounds good. Get a call 40mins after to say paste is made with nuts would I like something else, proceeded with 1 laksa and the salt and pepper squid. Pick it up after 1hr. Laksa was cold, had no flavouring, wasn't even spicy. Prawns were also cold and still had poo in them. Chicken was terrible thigh meat nothing like the picture (breast meat) and the bean sprouts were brown and not at all fresh. The salt and pepper was ok very salty. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

This place is a solid 4.5 stars. Its everything you want in a local Asian restaurant. Simple and Yummy. Sure the decor might be a wee bit tired and if you're looking for 'authentic' Asian, go elsewhere. It's nothing too fancy, has good prices and delicious noodles (that if you're not the hulk, you have a small lunch for the next day too). Service is always absolutely amazing. Adore the polite waiter that served us last night. Just a delightful local restaurant with good food.

We live very close to this restaurant and kept overlooking it when looking for take away, then COVID hit and we saw they had opened back up and remembered them when next looking for a take out meal. They are now our no. 1 go to for take out. Our daughter got married and came home the night before to stay and as a special Treat we had Pepperleaf with 3 out of our 4 children that night and everyone loved it. My birthday is coming up and I have suggested we go here for dinner which will be our first dine in experience. The food is amazingly tasty, the flavours are divine and you can tell the food is fresh, clean & flavoursome.

Order for takeaway and they have a nice selection but they are all one size portions for main meals. They are busy from 6pm onwards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They are closed on Tuesday.

From the 6 disability parking spots to the entrance is a narrow ramp with the main door being manual and opens towards you. It may be difficult to enter while in a wheelchair on your own.

Myself and my partner come here any chance we get. We always order the same thing because it is amazing; Sizzling scotch fillet and Sizzling creamy prawns. The best! Staff are lovely and attentive. We will definitely be back with more people next time.

The tempura Australian king prawn dish was awful. 1. The batter was not tempura 2. The prawns were not king prawns and quite small - same prawns used in the Thai fried rice. 3. There was more batter than prawn. I believe that the restaurant had ran out of king prawns and used the ones they use in the rice. Disgraceful

Food is always good. I have always come here since they opened. Lovely family. It really doesn't matter what you choose. It's all excellent quality. I have just added photos of Chinese New Year. We went in a group of 12. We all loved the banquet. I wish I had photos of the food. But I was enjoying all the atmosphere and the dragon dance. Which was excellent.

Amazing customer service and high quality food! We were very impressed by how attentive the staff were to us, even offering us ice cold water while we waited for our take away order! We highly recommend Pepper Leaf and will be back again sooner than later.

Pepperleaf is a hidden gem! 10/5 stars! If you are not eating here regularly you are missing out on the most genuinely authentic traditional food possible. The service is 10 star, the setting is perfect. Come say hello to the fish who resides here too - he is a star! A perfectly peaceful place to eat. The BEST BY FAR restaurant this side of town! Not kidding...

Highly recommend the chicken satay and curry puffs to start, along with the fried rice and mongolian beef. Medium to generous portions and tasty. The only downside was the cashew nut stir fry with sweet chilli sauce. Sauce was a bit gloopier than expected, but still very good.

Favourite Thai restaurant in Tea Tree Gully with authentic dishes. Takeaway is great but its also worth dinning in as the food is fresh, hot and tasty with generous sized serves. Casual family atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the service is good. The kids always love looking at the huge fish in the fish tank and they have decent kids menu.

Excellent food and service. The very best Asian Restaurant in South Australia. The Menu is varied and all produce is very fresh. The Staff are so nice, helpful and friendly. Try the Pepperleaf, you will return again and again. If you want you can take a bottle of Alcohol with you. I travel many kilometres to eat there as it is the very best.

We were recommended to Pepper Lead by a friend so we gave it a go and wow! Probably one of if not the best asian we have ever had...Delicious fresh flavours and beautiful tender meats served by friendly prompt staff. It is a little pricey but well worth it for the amazing food. This is now our local asian takeaway place!

Nice facilities, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Their signature dish Salt Pepper squid was well worth it, however the sweet and sour pork was quite the opposite. First time there, not sure if i will go back. They Need to revisit that dish. Thanks for the enjoyable evening. Still a five star experience.

Got takeaway dishes (pad Thai, kway teow and special fried rice). Very, very disappointing dry and bland with barely any flavour. Hadn't eaten here in years, really poor. Great tasting Thai food! I have been there a few times now and each time, the food has been amazing! The prices are reasonable and the servings are big enough to share. The staff are friendly and are knowledgeable about the menu. I love their big pet fish; he is adorable.

Always, ALWAYS superb food here. Staff are great, ambience is great, and considering how busy they always are, the service is spot on in timing. Even if everything wasn't as good as it is, we will forever keep coming back for the food alone!

I wouldn’t order here again. Pad Thai noodles were the worst I’ve ever had. The grilled chicken was dry. The special fried rice was basic. The only good thing was the spring rolls…. Which they probably buy in. Gross, never again.

Nice restaurant. I just tried noodles. It’s ok but need to try other. Customer service is excellent especially the girl served. Offered water and asked how the food was. Only confident shops cans do that.

Quite nice food, needs some curtains to cut down noise. Reasonably fast and friendly service. If you want food spicy hot, I'd suggest you request it, seems to cater for standard Aussie palate.

The food was delicious! The flavours were superb. The Sizzling Mongolian Beef was the best I have had in a long time. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. Highly recommend.
