Will never be back! I went to the store doing all the right things. I was wearing a mask and checked in at the table that was placed out the front of the store. A salesman was talking to a gentleman and his son about a bike. No eye contact was made, no acknowledgement that I was even there happened. I stood politely off to the side and waited. Another man arrived, no mask and didn't check in and was immediately acknowledged. The salesman asked how he could help him, he mentioned he was there to collect a bike. I waited, still nothing. So I politely interrupted and asked if I could go into the store or did I have to wait outside. I was told I had to wait and someone would be with me soon. Again I politely stood aside and waited. A young man walked out, straight to the other man and served him. Again didn't acknowledge I was there or had been waiting first... I left. Went to Bicycle Superstore where the service was outstanding

Terrible service. If you like to get ripped off for something that should be under warranty then spend your hard-earned money at this shop. Otherwise, I suggest going to another Bike shop that operates with ethics and in accordance with the ACCC Law. And if you read the Owner's reply below, be aware that a ethical operating Business would call the Costumer first and explain the cost that will happen so that the Costumer can make up their mind if a) its actually the truth what the business tells you and b) is it actually worth paying more for the repair then what a complete new part would have cost. But then again you wouldn’t have this problem if you go to a business that operates with ethics and in accordance with the ACCC Law and trust me, this business doesn’t, so be aware of it.

I had my Trek Domane 5 series serviced here in about January 2023. They did an excellent job and were very helpful and clear in their explanations and expectations of what might happen during the service. Having had my bike serviced at two other local bike shops, and having had poor to really bad experiences with both, I was really hoping that PSC would provide a much better service in terms of communications and value for money. They did both, they listened to what I had to say instead of talking down to me as I'd experienced elsewhere. They also addressed my concerns - these are always in the forefront of my mind when paying $100s - and were completely BS-free. I'd recommend them 100% and will definitely taking my bike back to them for its next service.

If anyone is looking for a bike of any kind or after any information about any bike then these guys are who you are looking for and I would say that they are probably the best in Australia. I spoke to 99 bikes, Ivanhoe cycles and others and I just wanted some basic advice on the gear each of the 3 bikes i was enquiring about and to cut it short all were not very knowledgeable. My brother recommended Peninsula Star Cycles and said call them up and you will know straight away that they know their stuff and he was 100% right and was given a lot of information and advice which was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend and will be using them from now on. Not only knowledgeable but also very nice.

Can only comment on the service as I went in to get a new rear tyre for my bike. Excellent service in choosing the right one for me. Then I asked about fitting it and the salesperson took the time to show me how best to do it, he also mentioned they can do it in store for a reasonable price and said it would take approx 1 hr. I got home and decided it was all too hard to DIY. When I returned i was told it should only be 10min. We left the store and browsed the library next door. Exactly 10min later walk in the store and they are just wheeling it out. Could it fault the service or speed of said service.

Took my mountain bike in for service, it hadn't done more than 300kms on the road. It just needed a basic service as it hadn't been out for a few years but apparently it needed a new chain, gear set, brakes the lot. I wasn't told what service would be done and I also wasn't told about the brakes so I was surprised with a $230.00 bill (a price you would service a car for) that I thought would be around $140.00. I brought it here thinking I'll give it to a small local business, I wont be doing that again. My fault I guess, they saw me coming and took what they could. Couldn't recommend them at all.

Mornington Peninsula's oldest bike shop is looking better than ever. I visited the store and the now multi-floored store is incredible. Showroom and range is just unreal. I frequented this store in through the 90’s for my bike builds and have a lot of memories attached to this store. In 2019, you’ll find a large and knowledgeable team, service workshop and range of bikes to suit all ride types and budgets. Do yourself a favour, don’t buy from a department store - check out Peninsula Star Cycles. Get great choice & quality bikes with a team that have a genuine passion for them.

My girlfriend wanted to purchase a bike and I convinced her to visit a proper bike store to ensure quality and service. This is exactly what I found at Peninsula Cycles. Both Andy (Owner) and John (Manager) show great interest in your needs in a bicycle and offer advice and products accordingly. I was so impressed with their service for my partner that I returned a couple of days later purchasing one for myself. If you’re in the market for a new bike do your self the respect of getting it from a quality store and enjoy more time riding it than putting it together yourself.

On more than one occasion, Mark and Tim have helped me out when I have had issues/maintenance with my road bikes and the kids bike. They give up their time to chat about all things related to cycling. You can tell they love being around bicycles.. Workmanship/repairs, never a drama! Pricing reasonable, and jobs have always been done on time since I have been using them over the last few years. Mark is to cycling, what Yoda is to the force .. A walking encyclopedia on cycling.. Respect!

We purchased a bike from this store last year for our 7 year old. The seat fell off within the first week or so of use. When we approached the store about it, all they could offer is a form to fill and advised us that it would most likely take 3 months or more for any follow up from the manufacturer. The man we spoke to advised that we purchase another seat instead!!! I wasn't overly impressed with the service offered when things go wrong.

I have been to this shop a few times, always seem to be meet by rude and arrogant staff any service requests seem to be troublesome.. They seem to charge a lot as well which would if the service matched.. This made me purchase my bike elsewhere.. There are better stores in the area.. Looks like a lot of there reviews are from friends and family

The level of service at this place is top notch. I dealt with Jim who was clear with the whole buying process stayed in touch as he said he would and the bike was ready on time as promised. His advise and direction was awsome and I am extremely happy with the bike I purchased, Thanks Jim and the team at Avantiplus Frankston highly recommended.

Peninsula Star Cycle is a decent bike shop, It's OK, but I ride BMX so this is solely rated on that only.. not many bike shops even stock bmx any more... the owner Andy is a true gentleman, he always does the best he can to help and plays a big part in the cycling community, I look forward to my next visit …

very professional advice. I have a long term back injury and really wanted to start cycling again. Dave (?) explained everything in easy to understand terms and set me up with the perfect bike to accomodate for my condition. It feels so good to be out and about again. I will definitely be coming back here

Today I went in to buy a helmet for my 1 year old. The customer service I received was amazing. He was so lovely with my little one making her feel comfortable to put the helmet on. When she is ready for a bike I will be going back there! Thank you - hard customer service is so hard to come by these days

over 1,000 for your cheapest bike rims? (according to what i could see on the website). complete rip off, or do you only cater to rich folk? and us people with normal, cheaper bikes cant get a normal $100 rim, instead have to fork out more than 3 times the worth of the bike just to fix a buckle....

Had my bike serviced here for a fair price. Came back in better condition than when it was brand new. Very happy with the service provided. Customer service here is also top notch. There was a small misunderstanding and when I clarified, the mechanic quickly rectified without any issues.

Oh my. Went to store looking for a new road bike. Staff member exploded into intense lenghty sales sermon about bike types I wasn't looking for. In the end I interrupted and said I was actually looking for a road bike of which they had a very small selection.

Picked up my new Avanti Montari ebike from Avantiplus Frankston and appreciate the great service and attention to detail the guys gave me. Thanks Andy for a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend if you are looking for great service in a bike shop.

I find pen star bike shop my favourite on the peninsula polite staff always even when their busy most times they say bring it up and we'll have a quick look and if it's something minor it's gets fixed on the spot well done to Mark and his staff

The repairs are very expensive and shoddy. A perpetual problem was that my brakes kept squeaking and gears wouldn't synchronise. Service with a smile? Yes, we've sold you a new tyre. Oh, so, you'd like air in that? Another $15.00, please.

I recently had 2 flat tyres on my wheelchair, I went to peninsula star cycles and they were more than happy to help me out each time. Competitive prices and knowledgeable in wheelchair repairs, I will be going back for sure!

These guys were outstanding with their service. The repairer even stayed back to finish off my bike so it was ready for me the next day. We get all our helmets and kids bikes here.

Excellent service and knowledge! I bought a pair of Maxxis tires and tubes and they fitted my bike perfectly, he even gave me a crash course on how to fit the tires myself!

These guys will rip you off anyway they can. They will try and find things to add onto your repairs and charge the earth. Not upfront and honest. Avoid!
