"Perfect waterfront view! The food was good! The staff was nice! I'm giving 4 stars to my egg sandwich, the combination of bacon, gruyere & Thai chili exploded in my mouth when I took my first bite however, the bacon and the egg that was part of my sandwich were cold! My friend's coffee was good but cold, my friend ask for her coffee to be heated and it was still cold"

I feel bad writing this review. I’ll give 2 stars for the view- it’s pretty but everything else not so much. The service was horrible. We were seated on a Saturday afternoon. We asked the lady if they had seating facing the water and she said no and that it was a separate restaurant. Found out at the end they had seating part of Dante facing the water. The service was extremely slow. It was not that busy when we went, maybe they’re short staffed but just creates such a bad experience. It took 20 mins just for a waiter to come, and another 30 mins to get the drinks. The drinks were okay and overpriced. At the end, we asked for our bill which also took about 15-20mins. She gave us the wrong bill too, waited to flag her down to get our correct bill. Very disorganized place. I don’t like giving bad reviews but this place really stuck out as one.

Unfortunately this place was a big disappointment. I ventured out on an afternoon with my lovely wife to have a day out at the seaport only to find out that we could not be accommodated by Dante's. I was referred to come here by a close personal friend who knows that I love to drink Negronies. Not only was the Negroni subpar, but we were placed on a wait list even when their kitchen was not open. Feeling defeated we ventured over to Tin Building and ate at the Fulton Fish company. Not only were they serving food immediately, but their friendly staff made it a point to learn our names and attend to our every need. Dante's could learn a lesson from The Fulton Fish company... Be accommodating, be courteous, and make your guests feel special.

Not great - I went there on a Saturday night with high expectations based on the sister location in WV. The bar tender was extremely rude and inattentive (the guy with the man bun and goatee). I had to repeat my order of 4 drinks three times.. let me add that the bar was not busy, but instead he was distracted by his friends that were guests at the bar. 3 times before he even started making the drinks. When he started making the drinks, I realized that all cocktails (My order was 3 old fashioned's and 1 espresso martini) were all pre-mixed and in large glass bottles. Meaning he just poured the pre-made cocktails over ice. Not what I expect when paying $20 for drinks at what's supposed to be a nice cocktail bar...

Amazing location, service is ok, drinks below average. I passed by on a Monday afternoon and was drawn by waterfront seats and the vibes so asked to get a table and grab a drink. As pictured old fashioned was provided not even half full, not a hard drink to make but it wasn’t good either. To be honest I didn’t try the food but I feel like if you can’t make an old fashioned and provide glass not even half full there’s an issue already. Other than the great location and cool vibes I don’t think this spot has anything else to offer. One drink was $20.

Perfect waterfront view! The food was good! The staff was nice! I'm giving 4 stars to my egg sandwich, the combination of bacon, gruyere & Thai chili exploded in my mouth when I took my first bite however, the bacon and the egg that was part of my sandwich were cold! My friend's coffee was good but cold, my friend ask for her coffee to be heated and it was still cold. The Giant Cinnamon Roll I give 10 stars! It was soft but not undercooked, and it was not overwhelmingly sweet, This is what all Cinnamon Rolls should aspire to be! I will give Dante Seaport another try, the next time I go I will request my Egg Sandwich be hot

I had the pleasure to go there yesterday while I waited for my wife and daughter to come back from the Van Gogh immersive experience. I was greeted by The manager Jason and the bartender Chris. I had a few beers while I waited. I must say these are the nicest persons I have met in a long time. It was one of my most pleasant experiences in a while.I live on long Island and I did not expect that in NYC . It was clean and the decor was beautiful, and you can see the Brooklyn Bridge and the city skyline from the bar.I highly recommended Pearl Alley if you go or are near the south St. Seaport.

Fun place for the family with beautiful views. Great food and drink options. The DJ playing yesterday afternoon (Sunday) was on point and infused the space with some energy. The only thing lacking was low visibility of floor staff/service and the bathroom situation—- there were no toilet paper rolls in any of the bathroom stalls!

It's a beautiful place. Staff is very friendly. You need to make a reservation on the weekend to make sure you can sit on the inside. Beautiful window views. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. My friend and I sat at the bar with the lovely staff. We had the Deviled eggs (bland and peppery) Mussels(in tin with sliced bread and butter) also very bland. Granted we didn't stay to have a full meal so I can't comment on the dinner menu. My friend had a cocktail that was super strong that she didn't enjoy.

Stopped in here after a concert at Pier 17 (you get 25% off if you bring your ticket day of!) and had a nice small bite to eat before bed, but had to come back during negroni week to try the bar. All the negroni’s are excellent , the golden spaglioto was *chefs kiss* but it’s only available during negroni week (I’m sure you could ask?). But generally, this Dante is a huge location with absolutely killer views of BK and the bridge, can see the fire boats go by and the old boats load passengers right outside.

After making our way through the cocktail menu, the Sour Cherry Mezcalita has become my go to! Passion Fruit Daquiri is also a don't miss... love literally everything on the menu! UPDATE: Dante Winter House Pop-up is gorgeous! Dante has added flatbreads & affogatos to Pearl Alley food trucks, as well as transforming the back bar area to a Negroni bar! The truffle flatbread was and swipe to see us try out the WHOLE Negroni menu! We loved them ALL! Don't miss the live music every Thurs - Sun 5:30 -11

I only had the oysters and Pickle Guys pickles but they were delicious. Otherwise, the menu was sort of basic with mozerella stick options and carb stuff. I love how fresh & yummy the oysters were though . The key win for Pearl Alley is the vibe & views of the water + piers inside. I'd go back to just have a drink with an appetizer facing the water.

Update: we had a great night at Dante after Jason, Dante’s manager, reached out to us. We will definitely be back as the drinks, food and ambiance (including live music) were very good. Bad experience at the main Dante place, and a bad experience here as well. I reserved a table on February 24th, and when we arrived yesterday we were told that there was a private event and we could not be seated. We were then sent to the rooftop, which also denied us entry because of the same reason.

Great to find another fun venue in our neighborhood and service was good but drinks were mediocre. I don't mind paying a premium at all but the drinks really should be quality. The mixed drinks were watered down and the prosecco was of inferior quality. And it was obvious. Also, please serve the drinks in glassware. Coffee cups and plastic cups? This may fly with the bridge and tunnel crowd and the tourists but not with the locals who actually live in the area. Thanks.

  • Laurent P.

Perfect location spoiled by a very poor service. Really frustrating to experience such a poor service. Having a waiter telling you to get yourself a drink at the bar and asking you to seat in the back of the restaurant when most tables in the front are empty. A training might be required to improve client experience and yield management… being said that we need to learn how to be good clients was lunar. Is there a manager here?

  • G. R.

Great spot for a drink and some bites. We went during the weekend. Great ambiance and vibe. Host was trying to be friendly but came off as quite arrogant. Server at the table was very good, they were clearly understaffed and he was managing to get to everyone pretty quickly. Overall really liked the drinks and the bites. Dining options seem a bit limited, so don’t think I’d come here for a full meal.

  • Kim Xrossing

Great space but the bartenders and service were some of the worst I’ve seen in the city. I asked 3 different bartenders at 3 different bars for a drink and all 3 chose to ignore and/ or take 20 mins to even think about my order. They would find anything else to do except fill my drink order (and it was not crowded) Made the owner lose money with that attitude.

This is a place strictly for looks and drinks. The space is beautiful and there good drink options. The food is more like small bites. This is not a dinner spot. Perhaps the menu is different due to the pandemic and time of the year. This is at the seaport. It's cold which means less people coming to visit. The waiter was nice. It's a great place to take lots of pics.

Ambiance and location of this place is absolutely perfect - would recommend to everyone! I was able to stop by while visiting from out of town and was so impressed. Some of the kindest employees as well!! Najee at the bar is AMAZING and I was in awe by his hospitality! Owner is also very kind as I was able to chat with him as well. Will be back next time I'm in NYC!

  • Nick Felker

I visited this place after a concert for a quick drink. I ordered two of the Captain's Quarters, both of which were much stronger than I anticipated. While I sat at the bar, there are tables to sit at right outside along the pier which has fantastic views. I didn't get a chance to try their food.

We used the Negroni Bar area to host a 'Proposal Party" after my son proposed to his girlfriend. It was absolutely magical. Decor was beautiful and very fitting for a snowy day. Staff was attentive and super nice. Food and beverages were delicious and staff was always making sure we were all having a good time and making sure all of our needs were being met.

  • Mario Rico Florendo

Went on a Tuesday afternoon with company executive and guests. Service was very slow (most probably understaffed) considering that they only service drinks and light snacks. Please don’t order chips” because they will literally give you a bag of chips. Also, restroom was very inconveniently located on the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) floor. Will never go back again.

  • LAURA POMALES

This place is extremely over priced. I visited over the weekend and was charged $60 for two shots of Casamigos!!! $60!!! I could not believe that they change $30 for a shot. I’ve been to much better places and have never paid that much money for a simple shot. I could have purchased a bottle for the price I paid. First and LAST time I’ll be coming here.

  • Guillermo Grisales

Pearl Alley bar at the South Street Seaport is a great place to go and have nicely crafted cocktails, even though they don’t have a full food menu at the moment, they offer a selection of flat breads that are quite nice. The place has a fantastic atmosphere and and you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Brooklyn Bridge and downtown Brooklyn.

  • scott H

I love Dante .. and the space at Dante Seaport is big & airy … but the service was sorely lacking tonight - it took fully 20 minutes from ordering a drink until it arrived. I suspect it had been sitting on the bar much of that time as it was quite diluted when it arrived. I’ll come back - but my experience tonight was truly disappointing.

  • Tess De Gregorio Herraiz

Don’t come to eat here, the food is mediocre and expensive, plates are tiny, it’s a place to just grab a drink. And even drinks… they aren’t great, service isn’t the best. I’m giving it a two because there’s music and the views are great… the place is cool so it would be amazing if cocktails were great and food was also good, such a pity

  • Steph S

A good spot for a drink with a view, they don’t have a lot of food options but the pretzel is a good option for a snack, it came warm and tasted great. It is more popular during summer but for me it just as nice during the winter, less crowded and more intimate, I have been two times and staff has always been really nice and friendly.

  • Brian Tran

One of the best kept secrets in NYC. Mostly locals frequent here even though it's not far from world trade center. Bike lanes, spacious area with strolling and see magnificent Brooklyn Bridge. The bars and restaurants are pricy unless you know where to go. Check out Fresh Salt. Beautiful area. Love it.

  • Jennifer Abramo

The restaurant was dead, and I had to get up any time I wanted to order food or drinks. The food came out ice cold. Service was awful. Food was awful. If you can go to McDonald’s I would recommend that over coming here. Will save you money and time.

The drinks and view here are really nice but definitely not the place to go eat. Go to Carne Mare or some other place instead. You'll get bar food like flatbread pizza, oysters, shrimp cocktails, and weird canned mussels. Not really all that substantial for a dinner setting.

  • Katie Angelova

Drinks are great, yes, but they always seem to be in a hurry, and there is no food aside from an overpriced mediocre snack plate composed of olives, nuts, dry cheese and... potato chips. We were almost turned away due to a "large party booked" despite having a reservation.

  • Danielle Herbek

Amazing place! Great food and drinks plus an amazing staff who were so catering during the busy holiday season. The manager who I think was called Jason was beyond amazing and helpful. He came to see if we were okay and talk to us which I thought was great from a manager.

  • Sara

Amazing bar/restaurant for a perfect date night or to hang out with friends. The view is spectacular and inside it's very beautiful. You can order your drink and stay longer to talk, nobody will ask you to leave immediately after you finish drinking. I love this place.

  • Bill Packer

Nice space ... but terrible. 1. bar tender had no idea how to make cocktails. 2. wines have been sitting around and are completely flat. 3. their glassware is all plastic. for $20/drink, seems like they could get some real glassware. We won't be going back. p

  • ifaa amit

The design is beautiful, great space, clean. Inside it’s too hot (and I’m not the type that likes the AC freezing! On the contrary.. but the heat was the headache type). The bar is too fancy to have such a weak lame selection of alcohol… must up their game..

  • Kurt Wilhelm

This is a Dante knock off. Avoid this place. Cocktails were week and not flavorful. Service is poor. Disappointing experience, both in cocktails and food. Regular Dante in west village is an amazing spot. Great dining experience. Seaport Dante is not this.

  • Neha Luthra

Such a cute pop up!!! I loved it! It had such nice decor and good food. Everyone was also really sweet and friendly. This is definitely a great place to take pictures especially if you are looking for an instagram worthy venue. I would recommend.

Nice decoration, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. However, for $17 ($20+ with taxes/tip) I’m expecting my cocktail to be mixed on the spot and not come out of a bottle that was premixed days/weeks ago. Bit disappointing.

  • Corey C

This is one of my favorite spots downtown for drinks. The space is not your usual jammed packed nyc bar. If you're looking to hear your own voice and have drinks with the east river bridges in the back drop, come here.

  • Malcolm Hardy

Fantastic extension to the expansive Dante Family here in the city. Open air or closed if the wind or elements present a problem with happy hour negronis and cocktail glam... happy this place has entered the seaport.

  • David Bang

Top spot if you're looking for a classy venue that stands out with an amazing open space and views of the Brooklyn bridge + River. Excellent service from Matisse and Jesus. Espresso martinis are a huge hit!

I am a fan of Pier 17 and was very excited to try this new amazing bar with my boyfriend. Bartenders are doing a fantastic job serving their tasty drinks Highly recommend our new local gem! …

  • Emmanuelle Cunha

Never again. Recommend to avoid. Host was rude and arrogant. Place doesn’t have any charm, big and empty feelings. Crowd very different than The other two Dante in NYC. Food not good quality.

  • Timothy Kane

Great spot, great vibe, awesome views, good drinks, good service. highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a drink. Great restaurants nearby but reservations recommended.

  • Jenny Ma

Beautiful hidden gem downtown. Very attentive staff (Bryan is the best!!!) and amazing drinks served. Bryan is super creative and can make you custom cocktails. Highly recommended!!!

  • Raife Nopson

Mulled cider presentation! Lol! It’s like takeout!!!!! Magical decorations but service is not! None of the votive candles working! Joked about it to waiter and still no light.

  • W

Decent hangout spot. The walk way through kind of separates a lot of the action in a strange way though, like going between the table tennis setup and pool is difficult More

  • Michelle H.

Great airy atmosphere and friendly service! The negroni cocktail is definitely one of the best choices to have at this place with river views and tall glamorous ceilings.

  • Adel Talebpour

The staff here is amazing! Always attentive and friendly, it helps to enhance an already magnificent ambiance. Jesus and Matisse do an amazing job and don’t miss a beat!

  • Kelsei Wharton

Really cool atmosphere with views of the Hudson River and Brooklyn. I didn’t eat because I was there for a mixer but I’d definitely it go back to try their menus.

Great scenic route to lower Manhattan. Stumbled here and grabbed cocktails, sat outside and enjoyed the view of Brooklyn Bridge. Polite staff as well.

Brand new place serving deserts, coffee, and a full bar right on pier 17! Checkout the photo, I loved the vibe and warm lighting. Very friendly staff

As a huge fan of Negronis, this place is perfection! The view of the Brooklyn Bridge while enjoying a great meal and cocktails ain't half bad

Amazing bar right here in seaport. Very big space with a friendly vibe. Jesus and Mastisse are great bartenders! Will be back for sure
