Today I decided to buy a "welcome home" balloon for a young girl who is returning home from a mental health clinic. I am a caregiver and had the young girl's younger brother with me. We popped in. We waited behind a customer. Chastity was on the phone handling an order and another male associate addressed another lady ahead of me after telling me I was in the correct line to make a balloon order. No big deal he skipped me, and by this time Chastity had finished the order she was working on and was able to help me. Okay, I leave the store with this giant balloon wrapped in a bag, thank you Chastity, and me and Daniel, the little brother, go to Publix. When we return to the car I noticed that the ballon is burst open. I go back inside P.C. there is a 4 person or so line at the balloon counter and 3 males at the check out registers at the front of the store. After waiting about 3 minutes in the balloon line, I decide to walk down to the male workers at the front of the store and ask what can be done about the balloon. The male who earlier skipped me said go over there and wait in line and we will replace it: he then heads to the back of the store with a drawer, I guess he was off. There are now 2 males up-front. Alexis can see my frustration and asks one of the males to look for another balloon like the one I have. The man replies, they are out. I ask for a different number and he ignored me. The manager watched the whole thing. Now, mind you, I had a young child with me and I had already waited. In a pandemic should not we try to help people return swiftly back to wherever they have come from? I understand the employees are paid to be there but today Party City wanted me to pay twice: in time and money. I will choose another location. If Alexis and Chastity were the managers it is possible that this location could have gotten five stars because it would be top down management instead of what seems like needs to be bottom up.

I come to this Party City for every occasion and it is so sad that for one of my most important occasions, they completely dropped the ball and turned my party into a nightmare. My friend ordered a gender reveal balloon online which clearly stated a certain color to get and after having a celebration of a lifetime popping my balloon, I was later informed that my celebration was in complete vain because the worker did not make the order correct and had me celebrating something that was untrue. I wish I had the employees name so that I could direct this review to him but unfortunately I do not. He didn’t seem to have any remorse when my friend called and complained about it instead he stated that when the orders come in online it doesn’t state what it is. Which makes no sense because you have to know what order you are placing! When my friend spoke with customer service the agent stated she clearly could see what the order was for and that the mistake was completely due to the employee in store. I guess as a man he could careless the emotions or feeling that a woman would have when it comes to such a life changing moment in her life and he completely robbed me of my moment. I will NEVER be a patron of Party City ever again because my previous loyalty to them clearly meant nothing for them to be so negligent when it was time for me to have something to celebrate. So thank you Party City for robbing me of my moment and causing emotional distress during the time I should be the most peaceful in my life.

My wife ordered ballons on line for curbside pickup on Wed. Oct 28th at 2:30. This is her experience. " I arrives to discover that not only did no one came to her vechial to deliver my items, my order was not even ready when I entered the store! I had to wait in line and go to a different counter to find out the status of the order. When I approached the counter, the store associate began to blow up the 1st balloon then told me couldn't blow up the pack of 15 balloons because they were "too small." I looked at here stating that since I placed an order online, that was something I was not aware of. She then directs me to the isle to pick up the correct bag and size of ballons to be blown up. She didn't offer to retive it. So I had to get out of line and get back in line again and wait my turn. When I approach the counter, the same associate decides to assist the customer behind me with his online order. She left the counter to look for his order! I was very upset! Another associate in the store asked had we been helped. I began to explain what happened. She then assist me while face timing a friend on her iPhone! This will be my first AND last time ordering on line from Party City. I spent 45 minutes to recieve an online prepaid order. Why offer curbside service only to realize that no one is coming? Why offer online orders when we don't know certain size balloons can't be blown up? Why have associate there who will just walk away in the middle of fulfilling an order? This location was the worst!"

I’ve come to this location in the past and never had an issue. However, today was different and staff was rude enough that I do not plan on returning. I came to this party city for a few things I needed for a Father’s Day brunch I’m hosting. Not one employee was helpful… or friendly for that matter. I came for a few balloons, plates, cups and bowls. I got to the balloon counter and was greeted by the employee with “what do you need?”. Not “how can I help”, “what can I do for you?” or a simple “hi”. I told her I was just looking to get a few balloons and was told they were not doing same day orders for balloons. Which was disappointing because as a customer that has come in for same day orders in the past, why would that be different all of a sudden? I realize this could have been something out of her control so I proceeded to find my other items. While looking for plates, cups and bowls, NOTHING was in the correct spot so i was unaware of how much I was paying for each item until I got to the register. It was a mess. When I got to the register, after waiting a few minutes, I said “hello” to the cashier and he said nothing back at all. Not one word until he told me my total and asked if I wanted a receipt. Staff genuinely looked like they were miserable being there and were inconvenienced with having to help customers.

I should’ve taken heed to the several bad reviews on this store. This place needs to fire most of their staff. I called to see if they had any adult firemen hats because all I can find right now are children’s hats. I made sure to specify ADULT. The employee I spoke with checked and advised me they had 3 left. I asked if it was possible to hold one as I would like to pick it up when I got off work and was abruptly told “No” and then he hung up. I understand because it’s first come first served but the phone etiquette was piss poor. Once arriving to the store I asked an employee, an older bald man with glasses, where I could find the adult firemen hats and without saying a word he walked right passed me and keep doing whatever he was doing then pointed to some children’s firemen hats. When I reiterated that I needed an adult hat his reply was “that’s all we got” then he walked off. Very poor service, will not be returning. It’s clear that the department that responds to these reviews does not care about the customer service being provided at this location as nothing has changed.

Okay I gave them five stars but the customer service was kind of like I still looked at it in a better way even though my customer service wasn't of the part I ordered before I called tried to do the curbside kind of feel iffy about that but still in all I know I did it cuz my baby had a good time I got him some balloons baby sharks and the number two he enjoyed it and he loved it should go and check out party City cuz when you want to party you know where to go party City everything you would need to put together a very nice party it doesn't have to be all that but mines was and it was reasonable it was my baby's second birthday and I wanted to make sure that everything God have us was for us and he didn't put it nobody at the store so y'all go check out party City just know that we are still living in the covid so don't expect the workers to give you what you expect just make the best of what you have God bless no stress let's get it

Absolutely terrible customer service. I needed to order balloons so I went into the store and ordered balloons well in advance of when I needed them. I asked the attendant if she had a certain balloon and she looked up from her cell phone said “I don’t think so” and went back to typing without even looking. Found another person and she found the balloons I needed. Fast forward 3 weeks to the day before my party, I called to confirm they had my order and the balloons would be ready at the right time. They had no record of my order. So the lady on the phone retook my order (luckily I had my receipt) and said they would be ready the next day at noon. Show up to pick up balloons and of course no balloons are ready and they have no record of my order. Lady In front of me had been in the store for an hour picking up 100 balloons which they had no record of either. Unbelievable.

I was back in October and the second year in a row I came to this location for a Halloween costume. A bit disappointed in the costume selection, costume I want wasn't available and I was left having to pick another one. It's more than 15 days away from Halloween and already sold out for costumes? I would say go elsewhere but they do have the largest selection for costumes under $100 and the staff is super friendly even if you come in at 10pm on a Friday night! The fitting room area is a little disappointing, it's in the middle of the candy aisle and only two to uses, recommend for you don't wait until everyone is coming closer to Halloween if you need to try on costumes. Overall pretty alright experience and mostly likely will be coming back next year again and don't forget to check the Party City website for coupons!

This party city is perpetually out of stock. Their online inventory is not reflective of their in store stock — and they are fully aware. When I walked in the next day after making an order that was supposed to be ready in 2 hours, I was told theh would look for it. After 2 employees said they didn’t have it and shrugged, a third employee checked their system and said they didn’t have the item in stock at all and it takes a “few” days for them to tell you the object isn’t there. When I asked if they knew if another party city had what I was looking for they looked at me and said “I don’t know”. I asked if they could call the other party city. Even though no employee was working with another customer they told me “you can call”. At no point did any employee try to figure out a solution. Horrible customer service.

Never purchase balloons from this location. The customer service is subpar, actually the bar is in h*ll. My order was not ready in time; I had to wait over an hour for an order I made a week prior. When I arrived every employee including the manager was acting like they didn't know what my order was or where it was, just clueless. I didn't get the correct balloons or the helium that I paid extra for on my order. My birthday balloons were hideous and fell within a couple of hours. I called to get a refund and the manager confirmed. It has now been over 2 weeks and I have yet to receive my refund! I will never patronize this location again. I called today about my refund and someone hung up on me. SMH. Tragic!

I went to get latex balloons a day before a birthday party and I woke up with balloons on the ground the next morning. I called the Buckhead location and spoke to the manager Lasandra (spelling : /?) and she could NOT have been any nicer. I wasn’t aware that the latex balloons only lasted 8-12ish hrs. Regardless, she apologized and told me that she would have them re-done and ready for pickup for me that same day. It’s kind people like this and good customer service that make you go back and continue doing business with them. Thank you Lasandra!!! UPDATE- my bf went to pick them up and she even threw in a huge “happy birthday” Mylar balloon for the trouble. Awesome customer service and happy customer

Just wanted to give a HUGE. Shout out to the two young ladies currently on shift at party city / peach tree rd. In the 20 mins in your peach tree rd location, I watched these ladies turn at least 12 customers with a smile while clearly understaffed. After working retail myself for over 10 years, I uniquely understand how hard this actually is - during a pandemic no less. If you are planning to stay open, I hope you plan to compensate these workers with the benefits they deserve. Your store would not turn the dollars they do without the hard work of these two and other workers like them. I wish I got their names but they were so busy and focused, I didn’t want to interrupt. Thank you!!

So my review is coming very late but I wanted to let the older gentlemen and young cashier that I appreciated them helping me find several Halloween costumes for my job. A few were discounted on sale and when there weren't price tags on the items they made sure to sell them to me at the right price but they were so patient with my needs. I visited that Monday the 28th of Octobe. Im leaving this review in hopes they know we customers appreciate the help because Halloween and Holidays can be very hectic at any Party City. If I can find my receipt I'll edit their names in but hopefully they know who they are. It was between 1 pm and 3 pm.

This is the most unprofessional business ever. I understand being out of stock but this location will not even look to see if they have an item. I contacted them over the phone prior to going into the location to see if they had one letter within seconds the manager told me that they were out of the letter, it’s just so crazy that I had a friend who lives near the location walk in store and they had the letter. I really wish that if people did not want to be in the service industry they will look elsewhere for a job. If you can order on Amazon or just find a different location, Austell and the Cobb party city are awesome!

Waste of time. I called this location on 9/10 at 1:12pm, a young man answered and I let him know I wanted to put 20 masquerade domino masks on hold, he let me know that the product was in stock and asked me what name to put the hold on, I tried to thank him but he hung up in my face. I Came by the store later on on my way to my event. When I got there the cashier told me there was nothing on hold for me and in fact there where none of the masks actually in stock. My party was ruined and I was sent on a goose chase in the middle of downtown traffic. Horrible, will never do business with such irresponsible staff.

Ordered a "New Years bouquet" Of balloons on Thursday December 29 to pick up on New Year's Eve at 11:00. Arrived a little later then planned and stood in a enormous line just to find out they had given the last bouquet away. Everyone behind the counter just went about their business like nothing happened. Until, unique saved the day and gave me two bouquets and the large numbers to make 2017. Sure they had to be a mixture of black and gold but it was the gesture that counted. Thanks Unique for saving the day! Next time I'll know to pick up as soon as they open on NYE. Seriously, mad house! Cheers!

Firstly, this location was lacking A LOT of product, especially at the entrance. Besides that, the employees were rude. I came in around 5:30 on a sunday to have three small balloons inflated. As soon as i walked in, they absolutely refused and said that i HAD to "order" ahead. If it is a policy around ballon inflation orders then okay, but i did not see that on the website. The woman's excuse was that she "lived too far away and they haven't started closing duties". There were 30 mins left until closing. Regardless, if you need to get your balloons inflated, GO TO MICHAELS.

The people that work here is so dam disrespectful. We made an order. And they told my husband we didn't make it at their store. Gave them the order number and they said they cancel it because we c didn't pick it up on time. It took for another customer to put the stuff back they was going to buy because of they was talking to my husband and daughter that is 10 so rude. For them to complete the order. I would never shop here again. I use to like party city. Just because you don't want to come to work today as you stated, don't give you the right to be disrespectful and rude

Pre-paid for inflated balloons. Get to party City an hour after the first available pick up time for balloons and they haven't been inflated yet. I get ignores by two employees behind the counter while trying to figure out the status of my order. What should have been a 5 minute process ends up taking 30+ minutes, as I have to wait for the balloons to be filled (after being ignored) and then stand in their checkout line, even though the balloons were ordered online and pre-paid. Overall a terrible experience that makes me not want to shop at party City again.

Pathetic service… Wish I could give zero stars. I ordered a Halloween decor item for an in-store pickup at this particular location even knowing was 40 miles away from my home as I needed it the same day evening. As soon as I received the ready for pickup email from the store, off I drove only to be told they can’t locate the item and don’t have more on the floor. I asked for the manager and the best he had to say was “The associate would have clicked the button by mistake to trigger the ready for pickup email, sorry we can’t help you”. Stay away!

Trash. Wish I could give zero stars. They ruined my 40th birthday party. My fiance placed a large order of fancy balloons 2 days before my party. They were supposed to be ready at 430 the day of the party. He shows up at 530, and they tell him they're running 2 hours behind. No call, no apology. My party was at 7, so obviously we had to just cancel the order. I'm livid as now we have few decor for the room. Will never patronize this store again and advise others to stay away as well. They'll only ruin your special occasion like they did mine.

Just left the store, and all I say is CHILDISH!!, no sense of urgency to help customers, just Sad especially dealing with the rudest cashier they have working on a Sunday. LaKeisha was nice and professional but I found it funny that we had to stand by the table for a balloon but I observed 2 other customers stand and wait at the balloon counter for their balloons so I guess the rules don't apply to all customers, the man in the red shirt needs to be fired he just looks like he there for paycheck like the cashier, no compassion at all!!!

I dealt with Anthony who is the store manager and he was amazing!! I forgot to place a ballon order for my sisters birthday I needed the order ready in an hour. I called the store he answered and said he would give me a call back when they received the order. He called me back 10-15 mins later and told me my prefer would be ready in 45mins! This was so refreshing to speak to someone with excellent customer service and going above and beyond for the customer when possible. Thank you Anthony your quick action was much appreciated!

Helpful staffing. The staff at this store is really the only reason I will even consider purchasing from party city going forward. Their website, app, chat and customer service over the phone are broken. It does don't work for delivery option. They can not order in store for delivery because they use third party services for deliveryso only can be done onlineor app. I waisted so much time and was given incorrect information and still wasn't able to have delivery. The manager in store was the only saving grace. Sadly

Be aware of the employee that is African American , Big w/ Braids. Her customer service was horrible. I called in to Alert the Curbside associate that I had arrived to pick up my order. She abruptly said “Alright”. Then she hung up on me. When she came out with my order she had her airpods in and was not communicative whatsoever. She was careless with the order as she was placing it in my car. Then she just walked away! Her face looked like she hated her job! 10/10 would NOT recommend!

I recently visited the store and the sales rep was on a personal phone call via her AirPods. I asked for an item to be retrieved for me as it was too high up to reach, 5 minutes later she still has not come with a hook, I had to ask the other sales rep to do it and he retrieved it within minutes. Party City if you are going to hire employees please make sure they have the common decency to handle customer matters and not using their AirPods for personal calls. This is absurd.

I had two poor experiences with this location last week. One day my order just did not show up, even after I called the store upon finishing my on-line order to ask a quick question and reconfirm - which they did, yet no delivery. The same week two items in my order did not show up and I was charged for them. I called the store, to which no one answered, and left a voice message which is yet to be returned four days later... taking my party business needs elsewhere.

I am an event planner in the city and I had an emergency situation and needed 2 dozen balloons last minute today. I called up to the store and Kaliya walked me through how to place the order online and was able to rush the order for me to have if ready for pick up just when I needed it. She was soooo unbelievably helpful and sweet and made my experience at the store a great one! She is a great addition to the team at this Party City! Thanks again Kaliya!!!

Placed an order for pickup at 1pm, at 1:15 they told me it is not ready yet because “they had a lot of 1pm orders” but didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. Told me they were just now doing the order and I’d have to wait at least another 20 minutes. What is the point of ordering ahead for a specific time if it’s not ready yet? When the employee came to my car, she didn’t utter one word even after I said thank you. Terrible customer service.

Like many other reviewers, got to the store after I had placed a balloon pickup order a day in advance and they had lost my order. Balloons had not been blown up and store associate started blowing up ANOTHER order right in front of me for a later pickup. Made me wait an extra 40 minutes for an order that was supposed to be ready, all while the manager was right there and didn't do anything. Very disappointed, ruined my love for Party City :(

Came here at 30 minutes before the store closed for birthday balloons! The lady stated that the balloons sections is closed I asked why she stated she blew up enough balloons for the day I can purchase whats out. I stated I only needed 3 boy birthday and I would take whatever the attitude was horrible I left and went to Publix in and out. Less than 5 minutes however the attitude of the employees need a revamp need balloons go to Publix

I ordered 30 balloons for Valentine’s Day 2021 to be delivered to my home. What I received was 8 Happy Birthday balloons. I was not able to get in contact with the store manager until the next day. He expressed that he could not guarantee my correct delivery and can only offer me a refund. I did not receive my refund. I’ve called back several times and still unable to reach anyone. Extremely unprofessional and disheartening.

I just wanted one ballon. A couple was on front of me for 15 minutes trying to figure out what they wanted. They were getting 50 or more. They were not actually getting anything made. They were just looking at options. I politely asked if I could just get one off the shelf balloon if he had a moment. I finally walked out as I could have been there waiting forever.

My in-laws were in town twice in a 4 week period between October 15 and November 12 and both of them visited this store to get HB balloons and both ran into the issue of the store not having helium! How do they allow this to happen? Additionally they both had the same experience in customer service or better yet the lack of. Com'on folks, get it together!

Bad experience.. I when last Saturday very bad attention of the cashier, if you do not like your work and attention to customers, it is good that she change jobs .. also did not have helium to fill balloons and the merchandise was given to me in my hand .. because they did not have bag .. if you can not have anything close the store

Good selection of balloons, but otherwise very low quality items. I suppose it makes sense since most items here are only meant to be used once, but overall when I think of party city as a store it fits in the same category as Dollar General. Store is not well kept, it attracts a lot of kids, so there's stuff strewn around.

Good selection for such a small store. This location has too few cashiers or too many inattentive ones. Another customer and I had time to get to know each other by name and other hurried plans for the day before the slight girl tying up balloons (for no one in particular) dawdled over to the register. Mediocre experience.

This location has been horrible to work with. A prime example, my order that I need for a party tomorrow was just cancelled. No phone call, no letting me know if an item was no longer in stock, just cancelled. And now I have been on the phone for over 5 minutes without someone even answering and asking me to please hold???

Two playing around on their phone and the other two was actually working. What’s the point of having curbside if your employees aren’t going to do their job ?

The staff needs a customer service lesson. Went in to buy a couple birthday balloons and was told that i couldn't do a walkin or pick up until after 5 (i went in at 2PM) because they were working on online orders after standing at the balloon section for 5 minutes with no one acknowledging people were standing there.

The ONLY reason why I’m giving this place 5 stars is because of Keisha. I came in store yesterday to place an order for an event I had today 11/14/2022 for a delivery somehow my order got mistook for 11/17 but she answered the phone ready to help me she even put my balloons in an Uber! She helped me out so much

This is the second time I’ve visited this location and I’m underwhelmed. The store looks like it’s always restocking. The customer service is not anything special. I wouldn’t come back here if I absolutely needed to. I would travel further to gain more and to have a better overall customer experience.

This store was definitely bigger than expected went to find minnie mouse theme items for a 1 year old party and although they didnt have the party kit they had all of the items in the kit individually and that was perfect the employees were nice and the store was clean with lots 2 choose from

I’ve been here so many times and had so many bad experiences. Staff is always rude, once they said they don’t do balloons that day (it was a Saturday). Today they told me I can only return with store credit even though I bought this yesterday. Not really deserving of customers …

This is everyone's go to party store. If you look online you probably won't find anything cheaper. A few times the store is not the cleanest and it is hard to find help unless you go up to the registers. Just don't expect to get in and out of here fast if you are in a hurry.

If I could put ZERO stars I would, their employees LACK customer service they act like they have an attitude when you ask a SIMPLE QUESTION. I asked about balloons and that man acted like I just ruined his whole day by just asking a question. I will NOT be returning EVER!

I called and asked if they had piñatas and they said they did so I went over and saw the abomination that is a cardboard box with a image glued to the front. Go up to the Mexican market on Buford Highway and get a real piñata. At least there you won’t be disappointed.

Purchased 2 items. Cashier only put 1 in the bag. He didn't realize it and didn't apologize when I came back. Why not actually try to care next time if you short your customers? The least you could do is send someone after me to let me know about the mistake.

My mom and I visited this place and there selections are totally different from where I stay and I actually purchased so much stuff for Halloween decorations awesome selections more than I even thought they would even have doing this time. Enjoy shopping!!

Large store with a variety of offerings but sometimes disordered and disorganized. The associate will say some item is in but be unable to retrieve it for you from the back because it's really not a available. Wild goose chase this time of year.

I ordered balloons to be delivered at 3:00 PM for a surprise birthday party today. It is currently 4:40 PM and I have no balloons. No one picks up the phone at the Buckhead store. Surprise party ruined!!! Will never do business with you again.

At 1130am I ordered balloons for 2pm. At 1215pm they cancelled my order. At 2pm I arrived to buy them as a walk up and was denied. I confirmed with the manager that I couldn’t buy online or in store, thus this Party City location is a WASTE.

these are pretty good places to go usually but if you're looking for help just try to find someone that's not standing there talking to another person because when you interrupt him to help find something for you end up with an attitude

I think it's ridiculous to make a customer wait an hour to blow up one balloon because there was a balloon order for 200. Maybe the store should invest in more than one helium tank or ensure orders don't impact walk-in customers.

HUGE selection of balloons! Came in for a few last minute items for my mom’s surprise bday. Found cute streamers, candles that burn in different colors and the largest HAPPY BIRTHDAY balloon ever! This place came in clutch

Horrible customer service! After paying for the balloons I was told by the manager to get the balloons inflated at Publix because they had to catch up on online orders. Not to mention her attitude! Never going back.

Just about every hook in the store was empty it was nothing on the shelves. Can't very well go shopping for things that aren't there. I looked it up online so I knew that this was the place to go for what I needed.

Seems like this Party City is just trying to get rid of all their inventory and then closing. Every single aisle is completely bare. I have been here several times and it is always like this. No point in going.

They've got plenty of options for decorating. One less star because of the prices and the mylar balloon that I purchased was not completely filled with helium and started falling before the party was over.
