One of the best spots for those who want a taste of "Mata atlântica" atlântic rain Forest. Easy to access, between Copacabana, Lagoon and Ipanema, the park has small beautiful trails that leads to 2 panoramic views of lagoa and the 2 brothers stone. Beside the nature, the sight, the peaceful energy of the place, it is a open field sculpture museum. Has many quite important, beautiful sculpture, that gives a taste of Brazilian classic, modern and contemporary art. This spot melts nature and cultural tour. Wonderful place

A really calm and peaceful place, full of plants, greenery, animals, and statues. It has a great viewpoint over the mountains and sea, through the trees; it's beautiful. There is also a treetop adventure attraction, which looks like fun. Unfortunately, the park had landslides due to the heavy rains, so you have to stick to the path, but I look forward to going back and exploring more of it!

✨ Beautiful view from the top of the trail, a great place to watch the sunset. A shaded park with ample space for activities, equipped with climbing and canopy courses (paid) as well as free, natural spaces for picnics or physical exercise such as BodyBy Yoga or BodyBy Karate. From the top you see the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, Christ the Reedemer, Rocinha Favela, Vidigal Favela and the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon. Once there you may compare Rio ,s biggest social inequality. Wealthy at the bottom and poor people up there on the hills. The treking is very safe and takes about 40 minutes one way.

Very nice to do a short little hikes with great views of Cristo, the sugar loaf, Rio coastline, and more. We even saw some monkeys. The park has playgrounds and hangout areas as well that make it great for group events of any size and ages.

Nice 40 minutes hike for the full loop, ideal in the morning when it’s sunny. 2 main viewpoints to check. The entrance is correctly indicated on Google map and free. If you are lucky you will see some monkeys!

  • Lee Whitmore

It’s all about the views. Only about one mile up and back with two lovely vistas of Rio. There’s easy access from Ipanema or the path on the Lagoa - just beware crossing traffic.

I'm glad the city put aside land for a preserve in the city for people to enjoy. They should make it available at night, but with security of course.

  • Cody Quick

A beautiful park with a semi- difficult hike to some amazing views. It could be tough for older people or very young kids. The park closes at 4pm.

  • Jean-David Caprace

If you want to have an amazing landscape view of the lake, go there. It is a small trekking of half an hour that is practicable with children.

  • Danilo dos Santos Almeida

Amazing view of the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, after an easy, but steep trail. There is also some interesting scultures around

This was one of my favorite museums I visited in Rio. The lush regality dripped from every ceiling...literally.
