I have gone to parlour beauty before and received a great cut and colour. However I am posting this review because I think what happened was not right. I saw a stylist I had seen before (who I’d rather not blast on here) and told her I wanted a more natural blonde and curtain bangs. She suggested a highlift colour saying it would be safer than bleach and it wouldn’t need toning. After processing for a bit it was clear the colour was not lifting as she expected. She toned it like mad in the sink after an hour of processing under heat. Then she forgot I had said I wanted curtain bangs (nbd usually) she seemed annoyed thinking I had asked for it last minute and proceeded to cut half of the thickness of my head into really choppy bangs. When I got home I realized how yellow and unnatural and fried my highlights were as well. I found it odd she did not ask for photos of the hair upon leaving like usual but now I think she knew she messed up and was just covering it up. I paid 400+ for this disaster I am still recovering from. I had to pay another stylist to fix it with bleach and this cost me an additional 400 which upon seeing my colour she called a colour correction and was amazed how yellow and uneven the colour was, now my colour is fixed but my bangs and hair condition are going to take a lot longer. I came to her with long hair that had 6 months of virgin grow out and previously done highlights so this should not of been an issue. It’s fine to make mistakes but like to just try to cover it up like she did and leave me with extremely thick bangs , uneven yellow colour and damaged ends and pocket my 400 dollar with 20% tip payment is so immoral of a stylist. I wish she just had of said it did not lift like I hoped you can come back and have it bleached or given me other options. For this reason I would not come back again and would not recommend this salon despite having a good experience here other times.

Parlour Beauty Forever! I have had such a great experience here. I began growing out a shaved head in September of this year and wasn’t feeling myself at all come November. I reached out to Parlour and was matched with Candace who has become the hair goddess of my dreams. She not only gave me the cutest pixie cut that had me feeling confident again but she gave me the most beautiful buttery blonde. I have incredibly thick coarse dark hair and the magic she worked on my hair is worth every penny. The shop is inclusive and fashion forward. Special shout out to the sweetie working the front desk who always makes me feel seen! I live on a pretty fixed income and this is my only beauty splurge and I am always blown away. Candace thought ahead about how my style would grow out and I love it more every month. I would go see Candace for any pixie style cut or colour correction as I do believe she’s the best at her craft.

Extremely rude and discrimination is very prevalent. That man double booked with me. He made me waste my time and gas money just to come to the salon and have him tell me that he can't take me for my 6 min consultation. He told me to come on Saturday at 4:30 and I showed up to him being rude and having a bad attitude towards me and saying my appointment was Friday. He lied as I saw him take another customer and doing her hair. I had another appointment with another salon and I wasted my time and canceled with the other salon to come to parlour beauty He has no customer skills. No professionalism, no interest in fixing the mistake he made. I believe he doesnt care because I asked him why he wasted my time and didn't put any effort to help me. This is by far my worst experience at a hair salon.

I was dealing with a lot of breakage and split ends after years without a haircut. I found Bre’s page on Instagram and easily booked an appointment at Parlour Beauty through their website. At my appointment Bre went over my current hair routine and gave advice for preventing damage to my hair. She then gave me an INCREDIBLE haircut! I’ve received so many compliments, and it’s even better than the reference photos I brought in. During the appointment Bre was personable, easy to talk to, and communicated with me throughout the whole process. My experience with all the staff at Parlour Beauty was fantastic and I’d recommend their friendly and professional services to anyone wanting to change up their look!

Candace has been my hairstylist for close to 5 years now and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. She listens intently, and always follows through on what I want, while also steering me in the right direction (she is a colour wizard by the way!). She always takes the time to explain the process on what will be required to achieve my long-term hair goals, which is always greatly appreciated. The salon space is beautifully decorated, bright and welcoming, and their selection of Davines products is a definite bonus. Hit these talented ladies up!

Best haircut I’ve ever had! Would absolutely recommend this beautiful studio! I saw Candace for a maintenance cut and I was nervous to see a new stylist after my former hairdresser retired. I am so happy to have found her! She talked with me in-depth about what I was looking for, we came to a decision, and she did a really wonderful job. She knows her stuff, has so much experience, and is a wonderful person to talk to! Overall 5 star experience. Will definitely be returning to Parlour Beauty.

Bre made me fall in love with my hair again. I've seriously never left an appointment smiling so hard! She used her expertise to work with (rather than against!) my natural hair texture and made me feel really heard in my requests and concerns. Long story short, I don't have enough good things to say about Parlour Beauty, the team that works there, and especially Bre! More than just a lovely, inclusive space - in my humble opinion, this may be the best hair salon in the city.

You won’t find a more talented and welcoming shop in the city. They use Devines and have a thoughtfully curated selection of product and tools. Candace and Bre are the most lovely and ethical entrepreneurs and humans. The respect and care they have for each other, the other stylists and all the clients who share this space shines bright. To top it off, the space is a beautifully curated garden oasis.

Parlour Beauty is such a calm and wonderful salon to be in. Sam in particular is one of the best hairstylists in Calgary. If you have the pleasure of being in their chair, and in sams talented hands you’ll see exactly what I mean! A true wizard with all kind of hair textures; extremely inclusive and kind. Sam always listens intently to what you want, and delivers beyond your expectations!

I had my hair cut by Bre and she did a phenomenal job! I was in love with my hair when she was finished which is not the usual narrative I would have with other salons I’ve been to in the past. She talked me through everything and helped me achieve the change I’ve been hoping for. She was so easy to talk to and it’s been such a delight getting my hair cut by her! Will definitely be back.

This salon is different. Open and welcoming and full of lights and plants. Stylists who are cool enough to be beyond acting too cool. Breanne Sinclair is amazing at what she does with hair. Every time I walk out of her salon I feel and look like a Blonde Bombshell! The Salon is easy to get to, has good parking and is a great space to hang out. Parlour beauty is an awesome place to go to for all your hair and make up preferences!
