This garage has a handful of employees that are extremely rude and angry for no apparent reason. If i had to guess though, it would be that they are 30/40 years old working at a parking garage. I wouldn’t assume the life of an employee working here would be a reason for all of the anger towards customers. Was greeted with obvious disrespect when trying to park here, was first told it is “full”. Which by the way is never true. The second time we came around we were told they could let us in. Hmm weird how that works. Heard employees letting in friends and family for free but complain that valet employees that park cars here do not get the same privileges and get scolded at for trying to park there. These people have way too little going on in their lives that they choose to let their boredom and anger out on employees and customers. Don’t park here, go somewhere else. Half the employees will give you attitude or stand around and do the VERY minimum to try and help you with whatever it may be, entering or leaving, moving cones so you can actually fit your car around the turns. The management here needs a reality check and so do some of the employees.
Not the kindest staff. Have to update this again ): My boyfriend and I were packing and organizing my car for a trip. We were there for maybe 20 mins just in our spot and a male worker came over to confront us. He said this is not the place to be hanging out and we need to do this else where and was holding a parking ticket. I had to explain we are just reorganizing my car for a trip and he said we better hurry up. He proceed to go stand and watch us until we packed everything up and left. Considering I pay for the spot I was not happy that I couldn’t just quickly reorganize my car without the threat of getting a parking ticket?! Do not suggest for the monthly parking. There was a mix up with my monthly parking fees on their end and the manager Joe was so kind but when I had to call and talk to the staff they were so rude and scolding me the whole phone call. The lady kept getting mad at me over the phone even though I was just following the instructions of the manager.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Would not recommend parking here on any event night. We parked here on a Friday night to go to dinner. We checked signs to make sure there were no additional fees. There was no signs explaining that there was an additional 30$ fee if you park here past midnight. This is an absolute scam and they will take your money without the blink of an eye. The people at the gate to exit are extremely rude and have no explanation aside from it being past midnight. We asked for where the signs were that explain there is an additional charge after midnight and were given no guidance or explanation. I plan to call tomorrow to get additional help but strongly advise against parking here if you are planning to park through midnight. Terrible service.
I just left 614 Market and the attendant at the gate was possibly one the rudest people I have ever encountered. After trying to pay at the gate for 5 minutes he finally walked over and very condescendingly told me I was paying incorrectly and I needed to read the sign. He then proceeded to say “see you were doing it wrong the whole time” “obviously it works”. I have his attitude and lack of customer service to be a problem. I would honestly tell people to avoid parking here if this is how your employees act when having issues. This took place on 3/20 @704pm. I promise you that I will not park here again!
Exactly what you expect for a parking garage. Nice, clean, good location. Notes for success- Don't trust the Ace reservations. You can make a reservation and prepay which is great, but they won't actually reserve a spot for you. So there's that. They will refund you after the fact, but I mean you're still left without a spot. The entrance is on SIXTH STREET, not market. Prepare to get mad as you take unnecessary zig zags around downtown to get back here, as Google determinedly gives you wrong directions a to market street.
This parking have more than 6 floors for parking and is located convinently between between market street in downtown area in San Diego, Justine block away from the 5th avenue. It is safe and price is around 13 dlls per 7 hours. I think from Monday to Friday the first 5 floors are always full but after the 5th floor im always sure that there is plenty of space for parking. Be aware when there is an event near downtown, sometimes but very rarely is the parking full.
Great parking option if you are visiting the gas light district and don't want to spend your time chasing for an opening of a spot on the side of a street. For $5.00 you can avoid the stress and be sure that you find a spot, regardless whether it is a busy time or not at this neighborhood. While it is recommended that you pay on a machine before getting back to the car, the exit gates also accept payments. Some amazing views of the city from here, too!
Convenient and clean parking location near Gaslamp quarter. Entrance through one way 6th street. Price: $5 per entry from 6pm to 3am, additional surcharge after 3am. $1/hour seems to be at other times though.
Reserved this place in advance for the busy parking in the gas lamp district. My vehicle was safe while parked here and it is relatively close to the gas lamp district, so that was very convenient.
Car was robbed of my belongings, and there is no way to check cameras without going through a police report. How can you be a secure parking garage and allow these things to happen.
The parking garage is nice and kept up the spots are really tight but beware it’s not actually just 1$ an hour if you are in the garage at 6pm or after they will add a 5$ surcharge.
* Primary entrance on 6th Ave, second entrance on 7th Ave (this one closes when the garage is near capacity). * 24 hour guard walking the facility, on-site janitorial service.
Good location but the elevator rarely works, can be hard to get a spot if you don’t pre book, the staff are rude & they recently took away cash payments ♀️ …
This morning is Friday/26 I have leave.my car on six th street close to Z. Hotel with a oldest lady long hair is very bad service..Don't want come back...
Easy parking, paid $6 bucks for a couple of hours. Entrance is on sixth street which is a one-way. Pay at kiosk so bring your ticket with you.
Easy parking and not as packed as the closer parking lots to the stadiums. Cash only on game days
Super convenient, you can make a reservation before a Padres game and it's only five bucks!
Good location and relatively clean facility. $1/hr price is also quite affordable.
One of the easiest and most convenient parking deals in the city. 1$ per hour!
Best place to park in old town San Diego. Very affordable rates.
One of the cheaper options to park in downtown san diego.
A place to park your cars! Wow! 24 hour service!
b prepared to work out; the elevators NEVER work
Good prices for parking especially in Downtown
Charged flat rate of 15.00 for baseball game
Perfect spot and over night price was great
Safe but expensive but I'd say worth it
Cheapest overnight Gaslamp parking lot
Easy walking to everywhere in gaslamp.
