Centennial park is a beautiful park to visit if you're in the area of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the removal of BBQs. I'm not too sure why they would remove this although I do recollect that there would be family spending the entire day hogging the spots. To make matters worse you're not allowed to bring your own charcoal or gas. Other than that the park is beautiful and clean. You are allowed to take walks you can go running although biking is no longer allowed. During the summer they sometimes host and in the winter you can go ice skating. The park has a path that goes all the way around a man-made lake. If you wish you can also take a path that walks up the mountain to a nice view of Dollard. The park is dog friendly. You can let your dog run free in the fenced-off areas for dogs. You can walk your dog around the park as long as you have a leash. The park has a small chalet with bathrooms and water fountain. The park as well has a gazebo if you want to sit in it. It's often unoccupied but in good condition with a great lake view.
Aire de jeu
There are small playground located around the park.

Restaurants are located in the chalet.

Dog-friendly park as long as your dog is on the leash.
Aire de pique-nique
You can have a picnic just about anywhere with open grass. No portable barbecues allowed
Only about dog area. The Centennial park is ok, but the dog park is awful. Slight rain, and it becomes a mess. After playing in this mud, you must have some protective cover on your car's seats. And must give your dog a thorough shower first thing upon arriving home. When the days are sunny, playing dogs (not their fault) make air filled with dust to the point even even a normal person can't breath, not speaking of those with breathing problems. Consider that the dust is mixed with dried urine particles. They can't plant grass in this park? They can't put free poopy bags for people who forget theirs at home? Go see dog parks in other boroughs, St-Laurent for example. Why do they have grassy surface? Why do they put free bags? Why, during winter there's pebbles on ice at the entrance, not salt that irritates dog's paws? What is there to be proud of for this dog park? It's a shame, for the borough management.
Gorgeous park nested in the heart of Dollard. Dog park and kid park, sledding, ski trails, chalet, and a great walk around a man made lake. The people are friendly. In the springtime, the geese and ducks raise their young ones and it's so beautiful to watch them and see the kids reactions. Many walking trails through the forest that are filled with birds and squirrels. All dogs must be on leash. There are activities throughout the year sponsored by the city that welcome all. A great place to picnic with tables, grills (charcoal) bring your own charcoal, and lots of areas to sit in the shade of trees. A wonderful ice skating area surrounds the center in front of the chalet. Water fountains in the summer for people and in the fenced dog park. The dog park is separated in two for smaller dogs if required. Lot's of parking available. Bring the family and enjoy the day.
The park has a parking lot that’s conveniently in the middle of the trails. You can choose to go deeper in the woods and take a 45mins walk or take the lake circuit and walk for a 1.5 hours. I took that long with my 5 year old daughter but I’m sure you can walk faster :). We took sometime to appreciate the amazing hibiscus flowers and other flowers. They are great for photos. Downside: We didn’t really find picturesque spots for breathtaking photos, the only great part would be near the flowers. Also, the woods do not smell like forest, you know what I mean. Another downside is that some parts of the park, the houses are too close, and takes away the mindfulness of being in a park with trail vibe. In all, a good normal walk.
I've been coming here for over 35 years and now I bring my kids. Centennial park is beautiful in all 4 seasons. The lake is not for swimming nor has it ever been. The greenery has really grown over the years and becomes more and more beautiful. The park has 2 children parks inside, a bigger one at th entrance and a smaller one off the path. There are benches throughout as well as 1 gazebo. There are marked paths inside the forest which are very safe, always many people and the forest isn't dense at all, you can see right through. In the winter there are activities including the ddo winter fest, summer has a summer festival as well as family day and international day. Just a great community park!
Love this park! Love the trail! Supposedly, there are bears!!! I don't ever want to come face to face with one, but I would also love to see one! There are geese here, too. I was happy not to see too many seagulls and pigeons! They now restrict us from doing BBQ here ever since covid. A little plus is that the neighborhood is really nice!
Aire de jeu
I saw a playground with a bunch of kids they seemed to be having fun.

That's something I didn't like. Didn't use them, dirty.

I saw a few people with dogs, it was nice.
Aire de pique-nique
They have maybe about 10 to 15 picnic tables. 10 in one spot and then about another 5 in another spot.
This Dollard-des-Ormeaux park is the center of leisure around the west island community, it has a lake, there are ducks, geese, you can find lots of ducks at one corner of the lake in winter. There are trails around the lake. A huge playground for kids, a beach valleyball court in summer, picnic tables on the lawn, movie night in the summer, there a huge snow sliding hill in the winter, one section with 4 track for thrilled seeker, and a section for young kids, and unofficial back track slope, there is an open air skating rink/track. There a dog park inside. Parking lots is huge, but sometimes you need to park by the street though
I was surprised with such a big park in the center of a residence neighborhood. The lake is pretty big and it took a good while to finish a tour around it. The are also play structures for kids, tables for picnic, BBQ facilities (closed now due to COVID) and plenty of grass for picnic. There are also trails for a good walk in the woods. The woods is greener than other woods, I find, maybe because the trees are denser and the grounds are covered with green plants as well. We saw a lot of fireflies in summer evenings.
Huge park with a central lake. If you have kids you can easily spend a couple of hours without noticing. The park is open four seasons. There are some modules for kids. Picnic tables. Dog park. Well-maintained service building with drinking water fountain and toilets. Plenty of jogging tracks and alleys. Lot of mature trees. There are always parking spaces available. It is easily accessible to wheelchairs indeed. If you find this review helpful please don't forget to like it. Enjoy your experience!
We have the best memories in Centennial Park. We feel at home but in an open concept area. We have all amienties except for swimming. We can take a walk jogg bike discover nature pique nique kids playground volleyball bird watching chalet water fountain dog parc free parking handicap parking available family activities winter and summer community project. BBQ facilities. Pique Nique tables. Lake. Ducks. Loones. Gazébo. Family Single couple fun. Clean. Beautiful panoramic view. Relax. Enjoy.
Growing up, I would come to this park for soccer games/practices, playground, and sledding. I recently came here to take my dogs to the park and my 3 year old son as well. There is plenty of parking! And there is an off leashed dog park. There is a playground, volleyball nets, picnic tables and a huge grass area. There is a nice long trail around a huge pond. There are mountains that you can run up as a workout as well. I highly recommend for anyone!
This was the first time we visited this beautiful park. The fantastic combination of the rich autumn colours with the încredible crystal blue water of the lake, all added to the pleasant warm weather made our trip memorable. What we really appreciated at this location was the playground, where the kids enjoyed the swings and the slides.... So we have many reasons to recommend this park to everybody - elders, families with children and young people.
Overall park is amazing. Lots of trails and green space, plenty of shade but also nice open and sunny areas. Picnic tables, wildlife (ducks, geese, etc.). Two children's playgrounds which is great. The nice secluded one is a good place to take a break while on a walk with kiddos. The main one has no shade though so beware and apply lots of sunscreen! The equipment can get really hot. There is also a little chalet with bathrooms.
Was another fun picnic with friends, and walked around the Lac. It is not far from my premises and have enjoyed the Centennial Lake Park for years. Notice one thing that bikes are not allowed but can walk your dog throughout the Lake and Parc., if I am correct? even though dogs should be limited to staying in their dog area fenced at that. In my opinion Dogs can do more harm if not trained and schooled than bikes.
Winter wonderland today at Centennial park in DDO! The cross country ski trails are amazing and so well-maintained by the park staff, which we really appreciated. The trees were beautiful with the ice coveted branches that sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight. Best place close to home if you want a relaxing and peaceful couple of hours of skiing or walking in nature to replenish your soul.
It's a natural beauty hiking tracks through the jungle with huge maple trees and tiny maple leaf plants just showing off their stems ,seems like a vast green carpet . Trees have changed their colours enhance the beauty of ambiance . The lake in the midst show all the shades of trees at the other side . A huge canvas attracting every visitor . What a wonderful world .
Magical view, especially at night when the trees are full of lights, you feel Christmas vibes whenever you see this view. The park is big, walking tracks all over the round lake. Beautiful view. You start by the beginning and you reach the same spot when you finish your tour around the lake. There's an old piano left outside the reception building if you'd like to play.
Love coming here for long walks. This place is simply perfect for walks. The endless amount of paths that will take you on a trajectory of beauty while you are walking. This is also a popular place for kissing at night. Plenty of discreet parking spots where many couples like to perform acts of closeness. The parking is better surveilled lately by the police at night.
Awesome urban park everyone in the West Island knows, a true civil engineering masterpiece! The city should invest more in development like additional camping and sport installations, garbages and cleaning, rest areas near the sledding hill and maybe seek how to transform the lake into an ice rink during winter time! Couple of good ideas to improve this great spot!
A clean, well kept park where family activities are facilitated. Picnics tables and parks for young kids and a gorgeous 30 minute multi walk path around a man made lakes makes for a day an amazing day. You really feel like you're away when you walk through the many paths offered... you really feel like you're away. In the winter, tobogganing is also offered!!!!
Very nice park! Well-maintained with nice walk paths, volleyball court, BBQ, place to let your dog loose and open grass fields for whatever activities you want. There are even warning signs for poison ivy in certain spots of the wooded areas. Great place for jogging and bike ridding. Beautiful water views and plenty of benches along the walking areas.
Great park. A lot of green space to just relax. Beautiful lake and path around. Some forest trails but very short. Good size free parking. Nice small couple of hills to get a good run up if you like short hill runs. Dog parks attached to it. Kida playground in the park. A lot of benches around the lake to sit and relax. But no bicycles allowed.
This place was amazing to go to visit with my family a few years ago. Very sad to learn that bikes are not welcome. Was not aware of the no biking rule and was spoken very rudely by the security guard even though me and my 5 year old son agreed to leave. Sort of dissapointing. First time I hear of a public park that doesn't allow bikes.
Amazing park for spent the day doing a picnic or a barbecue with your family and/or friends. Remember to bring bread crumbs to feed the koi fishes and the ducks. If your a little more adventure you can do one of the trails around the park and lake. During winter there are also a couple of trails for ski walking and few snow sliders.
this place used to be better a couple of years ago, probably because it's still April, but for now you will not find many benches to sit, sign that you cannot do BBQ, bikers are not welcome, construction happening at the eastern gate, otherwise the trail is nice and dry, many ducks and geese in the lake.
Beautiful park with a volleyball net and several walking paths through the woods. Once inside you have a large lake to walk around and two hills to climb. Large green areas for picnics and a few picnic tables as well. In winter you can snowshoe and ski on the walking trails as well as do some sledding.
Like this park ,Its not only natural and even wild in s sense, but is also very clean and properly maintained free from all the wastes and even garbage left over by visitors as are mostly found in parks particularly located in populated towns. It will be one of my favorite frequent visited spots.
Great park to go for a stroll, nice lake in the middle. Big playground for kids of all ages at the entrance and a small one on the other side of the lake, volleyball nets, picnic tables, dog park and a large field to run and play. Well maintained, security always on site, chalet with restrooms.
Very nice trail to walk around the small lake with seating spots with nice views all around. Has a playing area for kids, BBQ spots, benches, tables can get busy in the evening during warm days. Lots of families having fun, others having a power walk or jogging, some enjoying the scenery.
Park open for residents only during Covid. Cross country ski trail is fun with nice views and a groomed trail.Quite flat in general so good for beginners.Start from the main parking lot, though the woods, and then around the lake. Trail partly shared by walkers in parts.
Went for a spring mothers day picnic. Lots of families were out. Park was clean but missing tp in the ladies bathroom. Saw a bunch of cute dogs, geese, ducks, and even a painted turtle! (Please be careful on the walking path!) I'll be back for more hikes and bike rides.
It’s one of the best parks in the West Island. The lake has its own charm and is magical to watch, especially during the sunrise and sunset. There’s a lot of dog owners walking which is awesome if you enjoy petting dogs. During winter, the kids can slid on snow hills.
One of the biggest parks in the area, kids love it, but also great place to walk, bring dogs and enjoy a bit of a nature. Picnic tables, BBQ, washroom - check it out winter time as well. It might be hard to find parking once in while, pretty busy during summer time.
Fantastic family place. We eat our dinner there taken with us, we play and walking around the lake.we spend around amazing 3hours there untill there is no body. Sunday, we close page of stressful. Monday we start the week with full of joyful and powerful.
It was such a nice place to visit :p I would go back with friends and family :) It's a nice long walk around the forest which leads to a lake and it's so refreshing! There's so much parking and they evem have bathrooms on site so super nice place! :)
I like this place, they need just to give more care, to take care about the toilet! To clean it more often! To add more chaires…. The road that uses to walk in it uphill is becoming very dangerous, they will need to clean it and fix it!
Amazing area of woods and open space with small ponds of water. Very diverse, one of the best green space in the west island. Had a few walks during winter and the pathways are opened and easily accesible. Big parking also available
I love the place for hiking specially in fall. You could walk or go through it on your bike (before covid). The landscape is mind blowing. Even in winter we go there to walk. There is a park where you can take your children.
Beautiful park in all seasons. The tubing/sledding slopes are lots of fun for kids (and adults actually). The walk around the lake is very nice too. There is a nice playground and an ice oval for skating
That’s the face of a dog who loves this dog park. We have dogs and owners that meet or just visits whenever the dogs need to exert energy. More than enough space to run around and close to the house.
The path around the lake is wide and ideal for anyone to walk this season and the hills are being used by children and adults of all ages to enjoy the “Jewel” we have in the Heart of the Town!
On what might possibly be one of the last warm days of September? It was lovely! Spotted adult and juvenile ducks, the resident cormorants and heard the geese...but didn't actually see them :)
Lovely area, nice open spaces for kids to run free; love the water with the ducks/geese. Popular, so does get a bit congested on nice days, but still worth a visit when the weather cooperates.
Beautiful local park. It's a very easy walk around the lake with lots of trails through the forested area. Nice with a toddler as they have a playground half way around for a bit of a stop!
Love that park, it's a gem in the west island for sure. My wife loves it also. Great place to drink your morning coffee and prepare the financial stuff for the day or just relax in general
Another beautiful day at the park. I love that there are views and a walking trail, but most of all the small playground on the far side at the park is the perfect size for my toddler.
A hidden place so calm...if you come early ... guess on weekends it might be more crowded. Now on winter days and if it is sunny you might enjoy even more and inhale the crisp air...
Good place to exercise and take a walk with family. There are two dog parks, one for small breeds and one for big ones. Many ducks and gooses are in the park during the summers
PJ was happy with all the other dogs to play with. Disclaimer. It was intense but friendly play. All dog parents were engaged and friendly to influence good behaviours.
Beautiful park with a lake right in the middle of the West Island. Well maintained wide walking paths, beautiful lake, gazebo, wildlife (ducks, geese, ..., Fish, ...)
Great organization by the people from Lac St Louis regarding the Jeux Technique 2019!! They should do it more often and is a good way to make the players rehearse.
I love going back to this place especially fall and now winter. I love doing my photos in here. Beneficial to walk in a nature, dogs love to play in the snow
Love this park. It is a jewel in the city, and an oasis for your soul. I try to go at least 3-4 times per week.

There is a dog park
Never knew we have this hidden gem of a park right here in DDO....Very beautiful view, calm and serene by the lakeside, perfect for walking and biking.
Very beautiful and full if life during the winter... great picnic spot for families.. parks , lake and more... well maintained and peaceful..
We always love spending time here! After walking around the lake, we snack by the gazebo watching the ducks, fish and wildlife all around.
A great place for a walk, whether you like a wood walk or around a lake. In addition, it's a great place for the kids to enjoy their time.
A nice park in the suburbs to take a walk. Dog friendly with some fenced areas where you can remove the leash. Very pretty in the fall.
Beautiful park, great for walks and picnics. Well maintained and sufficient parking. Wish the toilets were open until late though!
It's a nice place to be with the family... The water side is so beautiful. However, I wish there were more seats around the park.
Nice park with a lot of places to walk. Not a lot of amenities on site but it’s not far from other places for eating or drinks.
Centennial park is a beautiful park with a man made lake. I love taking pictures there, especially during fall and winter.
Such a picturesque gem with great walking, biking, and hiking trails smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
Great park!! Nice playground for the kids and little nature walk. Even a small lake/pond. Definitely check it out!!
This park is a lovely area to take a walk. It has a dog park and a skating rink in the winter and a sledding area.
The perfect place for kids' winter activities and snow gliding! also perfect place for walking in the winter
Fantastic place for the everyone.....families, old and young, pets.... Everyone to enjoy the great outdoors!
Merveilleux!
Great park and lake. Great place to bring the kids and dogs. Very nice walking experience around the lake.
Dog park, BBQ place and beautiful park with a magnificent lake and many animals, specially birds to watch
Beautiful park to spend time with friends during weekend. Good place for picnic and to take a walk.
Great park to walk your dog, go for a run, grill with some friends or check out the ducks and geese
Great outdoor walking park, good trails. Canada geese everywhere with gossling now late May.
Wow !
