UNCOMFORTABLE. It's been a long time since I've been anywhere that made me, also my partner, feel this uncomfortable. There is a distinct lack of ambience & the atmosphere devoid of a welcome or warmth. I was struck by a very powerful odour & strong, unappealing, smell upon entering the shopping centre itself & would derive it came from the Asian supermarket. The said supermarket was quite substantial & the largest Asian store I've ever seen. Their range appeared quite extensive & I'm certain predominantly Asian as one would expect. I've shopped at Davoren Park & Elizabeth South shopping Centre, I've visited most Asian countries, but I have no recollection of such powerful odours anywhere. There were other shops, a chemist, post office, pizza & some left vacant, but one constant is there seemed a distinct lack of vibrancy, I truly felt a Stranger in a Strange Land, something I've never experienced prior. There seemed to be several patrons & locals going about their business & happy to shop here, but my partner & I would be reluctant to return, people should come & make their own determination. Cheers.

I WENT IN THERE SATURDAY 26 JAN 19 ,WENT IN THE SEPARATE COUNTER WHERE THE GIRL WITH THE GREEN TOP RUDELY STARTED SCREAMING AT ME TO GO WHERE THE BIG COUNTER IS , SHE SCREAMED AT ME LIKE I WAS DIRT EVERY TIME I GO THERE THE SAME THING , SHE ALSO SCREAMED AT EVERYONE ELSE EVEN THE OTHER GIRLS , THEN THE OWNER CAME DOWN , AND TOLD HER OF GOOD FOR YOU OWNER YOU DON'T NEED GIRL LIKE THIS WORKING FOR YOU , LOT OF PEOPLE I KNOW STARTED GOING TO ANOTHER ASIAN GROCERY , BECAUSE OF HER , & ANOTHER GIRL ON THE MAIN COUNTER SHE IS MANAGER THERE . WHO SCREAMS AT ALL THE GIRLS PLUS SHE IS RUDE TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT COME THERE SHE SMASHES THE GROCERIES DOWN & DAMAGES THEM & DOESN'T CARE IF SHE DAMAGES YOUR GROCERIES ABSOLUTELY RUDE PIG , SO ALL MY FRIENDS AND THEIR FRIENDS ARE STARTING TO GO TO ANOTHER ASIAN GROCERY , SO AM I NOW . I HOPE THE OWNER DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THESE GIRLS WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE THEY LUCKY TO BE WORKING THERE , IF THEY WORKED FOR MY COMPANY THEY WOULD BE SACKED ON THE SPOT FOR TALKING TO PEOPLE LIKE THAT . YOU CANNOT INSULT PEOPLE AND GET AWAY WITH IT FOREVER .

Just OK. Some items are cheap, many are not. Sometimes they scan items twice and you'll get double charged (intentional or unintentional, nevermind). You'll only notice when you're already at home while checking the receipt and I'm too lazy to go back. So check before going, aaaand oh, always see the expiry dates. Edit: BTW, I just bought this chips today 13-04-2023. Didn't notice the expiry, 'best before 16-02-2023; to add more, that's the product your cashier double scanned (meiji matcha chocolate), and it's for $10+ meaning we paid $20+ for that one box. Also, a lot of items around the shop without their price posted. Edit: Just saw another expiry date discrepancy. On the box expiry date was 2019, and outer plastic cover has sticker with 2024 expiry date.

Come to your shop every few weeks to buy all my meat to fill up my freezer, all I ask is to cut some of my meat into half because they are too big, the last time the older lady refused to it,then went back today I got served by that young gentleman and has offered to cut them in half for me,only two items anyway the lady told the boy not to cut in half for me, what is the big deal , some places they even mince it for the customer. I feel sorry for that young gentleman because she is still telling him something while I am still there. Hopefully he didn't get into trouble because of that. And why a customer not allowed to buy a small portion of meat anyway, if that is all they need??? Don't think i will be back there again. Thanks.

This place is for asians only if you go there it's hard to find anything let alone anything even written in english.. NORMAL things you can find are over priced when any asian product is cheap.. absolutely joke to be honest! The place literally stinks you can smell it down the street, would hate to live near! When this place was a IGA or a Foodland it was so much more convenient for EVERYONE especially the elderly! 5+ ratings are feading you bs anything over 1 is really.. dont go there less you need the post office or the bws!

I’ve been shopping here almost every week and staff have been really good. This morning though, there is a new female staff in the meat section who was quite rude. Did not like me ordering from one window to another when it only took her a few steps to move. It wasn’t like I was doing it on purpose, I just realised I needed some meat again from the other window. I can’t imagine someone from customer service giving me a lecture on how to buy my items! I was really annoyed.

I go to this supermarket whenever i need to get Asian groceries. Very large shop that stocks huge amounts of Asian groceries, spices, vegetables, whole fish (some frozen and some fresh) and also has a butcher on site. I could spend quite a long time just wandering up and down the rows looking at all the products. Today we bought a whole milkfish (big enough for 4 prrsons) so that we could try it and it cost us $4. Eventually we walked out with $50 of goods.

Mixed feelings about this place. I'm glad that this place has many different varieties of items but it's bump that majority of their commercially packed snacks are expired. Snacks, ice creams, biscuits, are mostly expired. We once bought a tub of Marigold Ube ice cream to only found out after eating the second serving that its expired since May 2023. I'd urge everyone to check the expiry date on the packaging before purchasing it.

  • Kendelle King

One of the biggest Asian supermarkets outside of the CBD. Has a range of items I personally haven't seen at other similar stores including curries, drinks, noodles and spices. The vegetables and meat are fresh, it's categorised really well and there's even a Filipino bakery section that we enjoyed trying, I really can't wait to go back. The server there was friendly so it really encourages us to come more often.

  • Vanessa Lai

I went here to buy groceries last week and found that there’re two snacks are expired at May 2023 (already expired) and August 2023 (expired in this month), and one of the instant noodles are expired at Sep 2023, which is pretty soon! This is unreasonable because you guys shouldn’t sell expired food to customers. Unfortunately i throw the receipt already and couldn’t do anything, I won’t be back again.

  • Murray Peal

Asked the Butcher a question. Had the 6 pk of quail been frozen or were they fresh . Answer. Yes fresh today. At home found that 3 had partially thawed and three were still frozen Also noted the the packaging had no ' useby/best before date. Made contact am today and was told it was how they were supplied .Didn't have a answer as to why the quail were being sold as fresh. Very very sus Very, very

  • Rohan Jurkowski

They have a lot of incorrect or not even labelled prices on goods. I basically have to guess the price of items half the time. They have a good selection but they've got to get their store up to scratch. It's kind of a joke at this point, not to mention, potentially illegal if reported. I've been shopping here for years and it's NEVER been good. Do better please.

  • Sayuri McLeod

A middle age lady at the meat deli is always very rude and arrogant as if she doesn’t know the words “ customer service “ Today she even glared and yelled at me “ I’m processing meat for other customer now! I’m busy! Wait! Okay!? “ On the other hand, product range is good so I don’t need to travel to city to buy ingredients for my home country’s cuisines

  • Introvert Extrovert

Most of the asian goods that I could not find in other asian supermarkets can be found here. It is huge and there are plenty of options. However, most of the goods don't have prices, which makes it hard to budget. Also, be mindful of the expiration dates as some of them have near the end of their shelf-life. Otherwise, a good shop for your asian needs.

  • tiahna grieve

Was a loyal customer for two years until I was chased out the store and accused of stealing because I had my sons empty drink bottle in the bottom of his pram by a new worker I had never seen there before. Didn't apologize when they realised either, just said "oh" and walked back into the store after causing a scene in front of other shoppers

  • George Katsouri

If you want a great assortment of fresh fruit and veg, this is it. Fresh fish presented in big buckets of ice. A very different Butcher, not your standard western cuts of meat , very Asian. An amazing variety of options for anyone looking to cook vegetarian. Not to encourage it, but for us smokers, they're pretty well priced.

  • ammendez55

They carry JAGGED TOOTH CORIANDER!!!! Awesome! Loved the place. So far the biggest Asian market I have found. The employees were very attentive to what I was looking for. A little lost in translation but they asked others to help me. The jagged tooth coriander called “CULANTRO” in my country of origin is great for cooking.

  • Trevene Leonard

A absolutely great Asiasn store. Theg have a wide range of products. The prices are reasonable. The regular products that you can find in stores are a bit expensive. The range of green produce is good and it is fresh as well. They have a few rare items as well. I would definitely visit them again.

  • roshan akdhar

The staff in the meat area is not co operative. Whenever I ask her to clean and cut the big fish, she has excuses like the fish is too cold, the fish is too soft(today), you can cut yourself. If they dont want to give service, why are they selling the big fish. Only this female staff has problem.

  • Mick Evans

They have probably the biggest Asian grocery in Adelaide hidden inside the centre. This centre has got everything, a great one stop shopping centre. Only thing that looses a star is its looking aged and could use a new facelift which in turn will attract more trendy shoppers...

  • Marie Ylikotila

We went there looking for Confectionary to take to a child's Biryhday Party. We were looking for at least 4 bags, but couldn't find any. We went there to save Petrol from having to go to Mawson Lakes Woolies see as where we were going was only a few block down from Supermarket.

  • Mrs. G

Good shop for South East Asian products, however the staff could be a bit rude and hard to understand.. I'll give 5 * if they Sell ginger bud flower :) . Lots of variety of Japanese, korean, Indonesians and malay grocery. They also have second shop accross the main street.

  • Elly Walker

Very disappointing. Can no longer get Australian line (only very limited). It's an Asian supermarket and we no longer shop there. We no longer walk down to it. Feel betrayed by Foodland. Wed 20 February 2019 Heard rumour this supermarket has closed down for good.

  • Kathleen Borromeo

Huge selections of Asian grocery staples....the staff here are nice. The store is big, air-conditioned and they have clean toilet with ample of parking. They even give me some freebies at the checkout, just make sure to keep an eye on the date of expiry …

  • Dats Travln

Facilities dated, staff friendly, stores aren't too bad. The outside and in could do with a bit of a modern touch and is the worst looking shopping centre in the area. Its lucky the shops inside and out are pulling their weight keeping the complex alive.

  • Andrew Ng

Most of the items are charged correctly at the counter, but occasional mistakes do happen. At times I had no choice but to take pictures of the shelves so that we don't argue. If I haven't taken them, I just return back and asked for

  • Travelling Mama

Nice place to visit and play your lottery before shopping and explore China town's flavours!! Have good fresh fish at cheap prices but not so clean!! Stay away from the meat section but have nice snacks like fortune cookies for kids!!

  • Raj Singh

Despite the wide range of Asian products, l was very disappointed with the virtually non-existent customer service. It is time that stores like this understand and acknowledge the importance of this, to ensure customer loyalty.

  • Dzemal Omanovic

I wish I could put 0stars 7 dollars for a pack of lollies and it make me and my mates feel sick after they at the lollies and the lady at front had no customer experience put this place down before someone get really sick

  • Vicki Porter

The Asian supermarket is a great visit for variety of products. The centre itself has gone downhill though with many empty shops and maintenance and cleanliness of toilets facilities that need improvement.

Many different products you can find from here. But you better check the expired date really carefully as most of the products are already expired and still been displayed on the shelf.
