This review is purely regarding the recent customer service I had from this bakery. First, no doubt that the pies in this shop are good and tasty, and I've been buying the pies from this bakery fortnightly. Recently, I ordered specifically 3 lemongrass chicken pies and a mixture of other pies. The order was communicated clearly in english and yet the lady at the front counter only packed 2 lemongrass chicken pies for me. Generously, I did confirm with her whether there were 3 lemongrass chicken pies in the order. She mentioned there were 2 in a paper bag as there were multiple paper bags, and asked me to check again. Without looking into the bags again, I trusted her with years of buying pies from them and only to realise she only packed 2 lemongrass chicken pies instead of 3 when I reached home. In hindsight, I should have re-checked again the amount of pies in the takeaway order. Also, I have been generous by asking her for confirmation. I could have walked away without asking for confirmation and the latter part of the conversation wouldn't have happened. Eventually, I did drive back and get the missing pie and she was adamant that I should have checked the amount of pies and her attitude was really bad. I still have to pay for the pie with her mistakes. If you can't take order at the front counter with clear communications from the customers, you shouldn't be working to dispatch the takeaway order. Very disappointing! To all customers, please ensure you check every order you are taking from them. Trusting the amount and type of pies they are dispatching is definitely a "NO" and do not get disguised by the friendly lady at the front counter.

After stumbling over a Facebook post about their award winning Pho Pie, and having a Vietnamese heritage I had to try it for myself. A little hesitant at first, becuase of the noodles they put in the pie...but my gosh it's amazing! Also tried their sausage rolls and cheese/bacon pie, all was lovely ...literally the best I've had in a very long time. Travelled 30 mins and definitely worth the trip. Yes, the pies are a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for. Most bakeries these days are a hit and miss. This bakery is a huge hit. You can obviously see the passion and dedication they put into their goods. This bakery is just perfection. Keep up the good work!

Great Customer service! The staff are really friendly. A very large range of baked goods available, including breads and rolls, hot pastries, cakes and custard & cream varieties. The range of pies is incredibly large! They also have a bags of tomatoes and cucumbers. I love the standard meat pie and also the sausage rolls. Absolutely delicious! I recommend you get in early as they tend to sell out quickly. Plenty of parking with Wheelchair access ♿ and parking available.

Heard about this bakery for a while that they got many rewards. However my first visit is a but disappointing. The pho pie is too gluey but the flavour is not bad. The cake slices are very sweet and the cream tastes artificial. Wide variety of selections is a highlight though. If you live nearby you may have a go but I will not drive all the way just for their pies or cakes.

Be prepared to be overwhelmed by all the breads, rolls, pies, cakes, tarts and more! Not to mention all the awards, medals, ribbons and trophies that says a lot about this bakery! But don't worry, you'll be greeted by friendly smiles and kind customer service. Visit this bakery to finally say goodbye to salty, highly commercialised, over-hyped, factory-made pies!

Finally got to try their pho pie - and it really tastes like pho! Also got a roast pork roll and that was refreshingly very nice compared to some I've had lately (never go to Roll'd) - crunchy Vietnamese bread, tasty filling. The shopfront is quite small, but there is large range of pies and sweets. The walls are plastered with awards and you'll find out why

Sometimes it'll be the best pie or roll you've ever eaten. Sometimes the pie will be half cooked and they won't bother to tell you, just sell it to you. Today I simultaneously got one of the best roast pork Vietnamese rolls I've had together with a half cooked bacon cheese and potato meat pie. What can I say? If it has cheese on it, check that it's melted.

Really great sausage rolls. So yummy, I tried a lobster pie but the taste wasn't there for how much you pay $14 per lobster pie. I got four chunks of lobster the rest was veg and a weird is it curry or isn't it type sauce. But the plain meat pie was divine. Friendly staff. Worth a visit, especially if you love a tasty sausage roll.

  • Alex K

Pretty good hot bakery food, generous portions, there sweets are ok. Not a fan of the weird fake marshmallow type cream they put in their kitchener buns and vanilla slice, quite sickly and gross and taste nothing like whipped thick cream, which is what one expects when buying those sorts of things...

  • Christina Czyzewski

Bakery is one of the best in the northern suburbs. It has a vast selection of pies, and the ones we have tried have been delicious. The bakery also does Vietnamese pork, chicken and combination rolls, cold rolls and salad bowls. Fantastic range of cakes. Readers you must give this bakery a try.

  • Black Jack

Great bakery that has all sorts of pies, pasty, sausage rolls and loads of other baked goods so the choices are endless and all award winning. They even have a Pho pie which I grab and a chocolate donut which didn't have the hole cut out so technically I got more donut which I'm fine with :)

  • Johnson Huynh

Wow one of the best pie fillings I’ve ever had - the pho pie had all the right flavours it even had pieces of the rice noodles too - so so delicious! The beef tendon pie was also spectacular - definitely a reason why this place has won so many awards, their pies are just unmatched!

  • Vanessa Willis

Yes this bakery is a gem. Open every day with award winning pies( and the award certificates to show). Whether for a weekend pie or pasty or our bread rolls or cakes this bakery fits all our needs. They also have tomatoes and cucumbers for sale - the perfect salad roll.

  • Suzanne Taylor

Amazing vanilla slices with fresh cream. Also any fresh cream cakes are divine. No fake or part moch cream. And the various donuts are delicious to. I also love the crunchy rolls & continental breads. Not to expensive but love the sausage rolls to✊ …

  • Elice Zanker

We went on a hot day and some of the cases were full of flies, when we pointed this out to the person behind the counter, she didn't even acknowledge that we had spoken and just told us how much the total was. The pastries were fresh and tasted nice but check for flies.

  • mjfiegert86

Delicious buns and good pricing, the bahn mi is great too even if they don't use real chili's. But when I asked for butter on the finger bun, the lady was going to charge an extra 50c. It's an Australian tradition to supply butter on finger bun for free or at request.

  • Jeannine Malcolm

OMG! This place is a gold mine! Incredible selection of freshly made cakes and pastries to make the eyes water! The servings are HUGE and the prices are ridiculous! Friendly staff and the banh mi are pretty close to the best I've eaten! Cannot recommend highly enough!

  • Maxi Gaming

Best pies in all of Adelaide I would seriously take anyone here who likes a good meat pie well done pastry was crispy the meat was succulent and tender and you could taste the love they put into their pies very well done if I could give you more then 5 stars I would

  • Thomas Atherton

Went as we had heard a lot about the Pho pies and we were not disappointed. Full of flavour and tasted like Pho in an edible bowl! We also tried the Chilli Sausage Roll, amazing! The pastry was so flaky, one of the best sausage rolls I have ever experienced.

  • Elle Richards

This bakery is always top notch in quality. Pork rolls are to die for and the awards covering the walls tell you enough about the pies. The ladies who work here are lovely, always friendly and greet you with a smile. Do yourself a favour and get here ASAP!

  • Hexmark

Very underwhelming, I really dont understand all the claimed awards Coromandle Valley bakery pies are far superior in my opinion, rated at 2 stars as this was due not only to the amount of meat, 2 small pieces, and the pastry which was fairly average

  • Ace Unhacked

Consistently amazing. Award winning bakery with a fantastic range of bread loaves and rolls for home or any occasion. Delicious ready-to-eat savoury and sweet pastries and meals. Great range of cakes and other desserts in varying sizes.

  • Jo

Unbelievable vanilla slices ...we go across town for these and they just do not disappoint Yet another ribbon at The Royal Adelaide Show ...well done ...after 7 days in a glass cabinet anything will look a bit worse for wear …

  • Cheng John

Quick pit stop morning tea and so picked up their pho pie !! Being a pho lover , could not resist this temptation. You can get a hint that it is pho ... Just wish the flavor was stronger. The noodles & beef pieces were all there

  • Janet’s Journey

Vietnamese Bakery, offers lots of variety. Traditional bread rolls as well as everything else you can think of, so fresh as items are made in store. Staff are quick & friendly. Pho & Lobster Pies are a treat! A must try.

  • T N

I was skeptical about pho in a pie! But OMG these are the best thing ever! Please do yourself a favour and check it out! They do all sorts of pies and cakes. No wonder they’ve won so many awards! Highly recommend!

  • Jake E

Worst idea ever. Can't get a fresh meat roll made. Sausage roll meat undercooked, custard tarts not set 100% and taste like cardboard. Couldn't understand a word they said at all. Would not recommend ever!!!

  • M Smith

One of my favourite bakeries. They have a bunch of awards from their pies. My favourite is the beef tendon pie, but you shouldn't get one, leave them for me instead. . They always sell out too quick. …

  • Emma White

Do yourself a favour and get yourself some lunch here. The award winning pies speak for themselves but my favourite it the humble chicken pie. The best pastry around. Buttery and flakes just right.

  • Paul Challis

Great food... but the owner charges extra as they see fit. Keep an eye on the transaction when you use pay wave as the keep the charge amount hidden unless you ask. Caught out twice in 2 weeks

  • B Hannam

Great bakery, with large assortment of HOT pastries. And great selection of cakes. Recommend the Satay Chicken and Chicken Curry pies. But any of them are nice sausage rolls, pies, pasties, etc

This is a lovely, clean bakery. A very good selection of pies and pasties along with Vietnamese rolls. Cakes are great and a good variety, I recommend the vanilla slice, best I've had.

  • Sum Lo

Really popular place for locals to get their meat pies. Love the chunks of beef in the pies. The Swiss rolls were amazing but would be even better if theres less cream and more cake.

  • Tahlia Penn

Been coming here almost every Saturday as a weekend routine and each time the pies and donuts are to die for! Absolutely recommend this bakery for its quality and consistency!

  • Glenn Gallinsky

Feel like a cake, pasty, pie, sausage roll, bread or rolls it's got it all many choices. Just love this shop. You too will become a regular visitor. Great friendly service.

  • Tandi Coxen

This place has the absolute best pie I've ever had. The cakes and bhan mi are apparently incredible as well. The staff are so friendly and the prices are very competitive.

  • Dats Travln

Underrated bakery in the north of Adelaide, some of the food looks worse than it tastes, prices are better than alot of other bakeries. Keep up the great work.. :)

  • Vanessa

Award wining for a reason. Their pies and baked goods even their cakes are amazing. Having been coming to this bakery for years. Staff always friendly and helpful.

  • Alex Chim

Am I eating a pho or a pie?! Sublime combination that settles your cravings of the 2 cuisine! Best of both worlds of East meets West! Trust me 1 is never enough!

  • Michele Todd

Good customer service. Pie had good flavour however our pies were out of a microwave which made them soft and the filling came out..

Especially enjoyed the cold rolls with sauce. The cucumbers and tomatoes are also high quality compared to supermarkets and conveniently packaged.

  • Ching Hong Yeung

Awesome pies. Best in Adelaide. Must visit for PHO pie. Only negative is they don't always have enough as they are sold out when I arrive :(

Pho pie is good, but the beef tendon stew pie (bo kho) is even better. Curry pie is also delicious. Flaky pastry and friendly service.

  • Neugene Rajamanickam (Gene)

Best pies I've had in a long time. Has the Steak and chilli, it wasn't very spicy but spicy enough to enjoy thoroughly. Will return.

  • Michele Allison

I went in for the combo vietnamese rolls. So fresh and yummy. Gotta get in early enough as they do run out quick some days.

  • Tanja Roma

Been here a few times, not sure why all the hype. Their pies are OK, prices a little over inflated. Cream is mock. Yuck!

  • eciR ttocS
