Palm Spring Resort

Yeah, this place is expensive. Definitely more than it should be, but everything in Myanmar is overpriced. As for the good things, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are always opening doors, cleaning things up, and went well out of their way to help me book a flight and transportation for my friends. It is also conveniently located right next to the airport. Otherwise, apart from the occasional plane flying overhead, it is extremely quiet and relaxing. The pool is also deep and has a jacuzzi that they'll turn on for you if you ask. The bed was great and the WiFi was strong. There's also a pretty good Korean place down the road. As for the negatives, you probably won't want to be eating and drinking here unless you're an executive, diplomat, or something else better than me. The food and drink prices are astronomic, though this is also a common factor of travelling in the cities of Myanmar. It is also crazy far away from town. Yes, the map may say it's a 38 minute drive to 19th Street, but unless it's nighttime, you're going to get stuck in traffic, and the trip ends up being something closer to an hour +. That said, I needed this place for some comfort and relaxation when I wasn't feeling well, and it was just what I needed in most respects. I generally felt like I got what I paid for, at least by Myanmar standards. P.S. Great breakfast!!

Edit 2: the last week of my stay, the hotel switched ISP and this has had a noticeable improvement in connection quality. From unable to connect to able to watch my favorite amazon streams, this of course is a huge deal to someone like me. Edit: adding an extra star due to positive response from my mostly negative review. The management staff is very responsive, and is aware of some of the problems they appear to be actively working on improvements. They are also very willing to do what it takes to make the customer happy. As I will mention in the review the staff is some of the best. If they are able to correct the internet and plumbing issues this place would be a fair-good deal, possibly even an additional star. Its... ok. You are paying premium prices (especially for the area) for substandard amenities. The staff are top notch but the plethora of electrical, plumbing, wifi/internet problems really bring down the rating. The food is hit or miss and wildly overpriced for the area. The "western" dishes (pizza, etc) are not good, however, the dishes that are more "asian" are between good and fair. I know the country is essentially just joining the rest of the world and requires some time to grow properly, but that doesn't excuse the inflated prices for substandard services.

This place is a little bit strange but if you expect it to be an actual resort then you probably deserve the disappointment. Maybe time goes a little slower when one is hungry but I swear we waited over an hour for pasta. The air-con was out of control. I think it was secretly planning on freezing us to death during the night, but I suppose I should be glad I got upgraded to the deluxe super executive room that the staff promised me I wouldn't have to pay extra. Such information i thought would be implicit in any such upgrade and it shouldn't have bothered me but it did. Why would I ever pay more for a super cold bigger room with twin beds seemingly hammered to the floor? No need to mention that ok.

We stayed just one quick night for a layover on the way to Bagan. But the service here was wonderful! Our group had 2 rooms booked separately, but for some reason one of the rooms didn't show up in their computer. We showed a paper copy of our reservation and they immediately got us a room with no questions asked. In three morning, we had a very early departure and had difficulty getting a Grab taxi. Their security guard jumped on a bicycle and found a taxi for us. Wow! They sure know how to make people feel treated like kings!

Have stayed here several times while in Yangon for work , the staff has always been friendly and very helpful , the front desk always helped me get a car and explain to the drivers where I wanted to go , the kitchen staff were eager to help with a substitutions on the regular menu . The hospitality were always friendly and smiling . I look forward to going back when Burma allows visitors

I stayed in this resort for 2 nights in deluxe room. Pro: 1) quiet place for relaxation, many trees around 2) comfortable bed 3) polite staff 4) big room 5) swimming pool is cool Con: 1) many mosquitoes in the restaurant 2) table area in the room is not bright enough 3) breakfast is buffet with limited choice 4) small resort

This is possibility the one of the best places for the price on the outskirts of Yangon (not far from Yangon city ). Quiet and modern rooms with a great restaurant and spa. There is also a full service bar by the pool. Its not too far from central Yangon and reception will call you a Texi at your request.

Hotel ist im Internet besser dargestellt als in Wirklichkeit. Essen und trinken ist verhältnismäßig teuer. Zu viele Moskitos, zum Teil auch im Zimmer. Fitnessstudio riecht stark nach Schimmel. Personal sehr freundlich! Zimmer sind in Ordnung und für Myanmar von der Sauberkeit auch ok.

Netter Service mit freundlichen Gesprächen, Gutes Essen und Frühstück, etwas altbackene Einrichtung, Garten und Pool sehen gut aus, Zimmer alles gut, Bett wie fast in allen Hotels in Myanmar etwas zu hart und die Kissen zu lang und zu dick. Mit Moskitos ist abends zu rechnen.

poor environment with very moldy smell room. tea and coffee of breakfast are served by staff. You have to ask many times to have one cup of tea or coffee. better go to another one. worst hotel in the trip in myanmar.

Perfect place to visit the temples, market and the airport is a 5 minutes away on a road no crowded. The hotel is very quiet, beautiful and the staff is always lovely people like everybody in Myanmar!

I stay there for 3 months and 2 days feel like Home all hotel staffs are very friendly like a family. Nice small Hotel with good service . Beautiful garden with Vistor cat too.
