The local company works very well with you and accommodated some tough scheduling issues. However, the corporation as a whole is terrible. I was under some time constraints. They gave me the quote and information on the phone and told me I had to “sign” the documents on-line through an email. I did that over my phone and neglected to read all the pages on my phone before “signing” the agreement. The information in the agreement did not match what was given to me over the phone. This was very consistent. The PODS representatives will say whatever it takes to make you happy over the phone, and then it is not true. We asked to change the name on the account and were told it would not be a problem. Later all the information that was given to us over the phone regarding changing the name on the account turned out to be not true. When we went to finally get our pods I specifically asked if there were going to be any additional charges after I paid the delivery fee if the pods were picked up before the monthly storage fee was due. They said I would have no additional charges. When the pods were picked up I was charged a pick up fee. Just so you know what you are getting yourself into…. The first month you are charged the storage fee and a nominal charge for delivery and pickup. When you want your pods returned, you are charged the monthly storage fee for storage, the monthly storage fee for delivery and the same amount again for pickup. Make sure you read the fine print (which I have still not received a copy of but am told I agreed too).

The whole experience was a bit of a rollercoaster. I got my quote online and it seemed great, but I did not realize that the price shown did not include all of the extra charges for moving & delivery. Those were shown on the page, but not in the total cost, which I did not realize before placing an order. Initial delivery was great, no problems. I scheduled a move online but then needed to change the date due to our closing date being moved. It would not allow me to do it online, so I called customer service and told it was taken care of. That was not the case... I ended up having to call back again a few days later to have it fixed. The POD was moved to the new address, no problem. However when I went to schedule a pick-up, the first available date was nearly 2 weeks away and was (of course) the 5th of the next month which would have been the date that we were charged a monthly fee. I called customer service again and was told that because the container was being picked up that morning, we would not be charged. I can't say I was shocked when I got my credit card bill and saw that I was charged for a full extra month on top of everything else. I will say customer service did fix it in the end, but it's super frustrated and frankly a little shady of PODS. I wouldn't recommend them at this point based on my experience and will not use them again in the future.

As far as the Idea of PODs , I would have given PODs a 5 star review. The actual concept is fabulous and my POD was delivered, I packed it up and it was appropriately taken to the storage facility. I will update this when I receive my items, however. So why did I give PODs at 3 star? The process of setting up delivery and pick up on the website is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. It took me 2.5hours just to set up the initial delivery. I tried using the website, but after that failed about 100 times, I had to sit on hold and speak to someone. That took an additional 45mins-1hr. The same thing happened when I tried to set up the redelivery. I still have not been able to appropriately set up the final pick up. I tried to call, but again, because no one can use the God awful website, there is a hideously long wait. The convenience of the POD concept is seriously blunted by the wildly inconvenient execution of the concept. If PODs could get their system to be more functional and actually work, this would be great and I would give 5 stars, but as it stands right now, scheduling is a total nightmare.

Overall good experience and saved dollars vs a mover. Nice adaptable for staging to load, pick up, store and deliver. Problem is their weight info messes u up on how much u can or can't load so disrupts your planning, p packing, disposal, etc and creates unnecessary worry and reduction in load when unnecessary. Apparently extremely rare for weight to be an issue. Who knew? Good people interactions in line and in person just no clarity on weight till got to talk to a driver but too late to prevent issues by then but smooth sailing after. Is a lot of work but worth it. I am a in shape 68 year old male with a sinus infection and various limitations from old injuries I got two pods loaded with only some help. Had relatives help on unload. Tie downs and rachets and video suggestions great to ensure safe and secure packing. Good pod experience would do again knowing what I now know but get my kids to load it!!! If weight issue had not been in place would have been great experience but u do earn the savings!

What started as a 5 star experience ended in 2 and that's only for the 2 nice drivers I experienced. The driver who brought my pod placed in the middle of my driveway which blocked access for my car to move in and out. Not to mention it was freezing outside and I have 2 small children. I asked the driver while he was there to move it over a little. He didn't feel competent enough to do so without damaging my yard. He didn't present any other options such as a damage waiver or to have another driver come help. Found out that they had something they can put in the yard to prevent damage when my pod was picked up. I put in a request to have the 2nd fee waived when the driver came back to readjust but this was denied because the driver LIED and said we didn't know where we wanted the pod. It's been 2 WEEKS of waiting on a manager to call back about this matter.

Our second POD was not delivered at the correct date/time because the first one was not placed correctly. This was a major inconvenience that required us buying air mattresses to be able to sleep in our home the first night. We also had 10 people at our house waiting for the second POD to be delivered. It was a waste of time and embarrassing to have all the help, but nothing to do for 2 and a half hours until the second POD was delivered (a day late). When we realized the second POD would not be delivered we spend hours trying to reach someone to get the issue resolved. The only answers we got were a guess of when the second POD might be able to be delivered the next day. Nothing was ever confirmed until the delivery driver of the second POD called to say he was on his way.

NEVER use PODS!!! We rented a pod for 6months while we built our house. Our son has a mold allergy so I asked lots of questions. I was assured it would be fine and they never have problems with mold. Opened the POD January 31st and it was FULL of mold. I called immediately and was told that they would have someone reach out to me in 2 days to file a claim. I called twice a week every week for 2 months and I am told the same thing. The operators have been nice and expedited the case multiple times but unfortunately they can only email the "2nd tier". The reviews were good until i looked a little deeper there are tons of issues exactly like mine! They were told the exact thing WORD FOR WORD! Here are a few pics!

I’m writing this for my 74 year old grandmother. Her husband recently passed in August 2020, and she’s had to sell her home. A customer service representative named Debbie, told my grandmother one price, and then my Mamaw calls to pay for the second round of pods and they told her she owes $14,000! Debbie said she would only be paying $1,500 a month to store for 6 months. My grandmother is currently on the phone with a representative and he is catching an attitude with her on the phone. Pods is a disgrace and they are a bait and switch company. How dare they screw over and elderly woman who need their help. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS!! If I could give less than a star, I would.

Pods was supposed to drop off a Pod today so we could get moved out of our current location by Friday. Great we needed the Pod picked up on Friday since we will no longer have possession of our house on Friday. They said they couldn’t pick up the Pod until the following Wednesday and drop it off at our new location. Sorry but I can’t leave a storage pod at a house i know longer own. They are over priced and have extra drop off and pick up fees that are not explained during the initial set up of the rental. I called Uhaul and a truck for 7 days and much cheaper. Pods reps would not get us a supervisor or manager to speak with. Will never try and use them again. Horrible Customer Service.

I had 12ft delivered and ordered 2 16ft for the next day. Well they were suppose to pick up the 13fy before delivering the 2 16footers. I ended up with 3 PODS and one in the graz. I tried calling customer service, but they said it wasn't scheduled till 2 days later. Mine you I had only a 2 car driveway, so why wouldn't I schedule one for pick up. I tried on several occasions to get them to pick up but they didn't. I had confermed during and after order. When it came time to deliver to my PODS they got the address mixed up. It was dropped off at the wrong address even after I called to confirm. Lucky the driver went back and picked it up. Thank God for the driver.

The fact that you have no contact methods available outside of business hours is terrible. No email, no voicemail, and no other online contact methods. Now I'm stuck with an incorrect delivery coming first thing in the morning with no way to fix it. Reschedule button on the website? Does nothing. Why have it? Compounded with the fact they messed up the delivery date in the first place. I understand 100% giving your employees downtime and not being available, but not having any way whatsoever to get a message to them when they get back in the office is frankly irresponsible and bad business.

Very misleeadong information. I had a friendly customer service representative who helped out with the best pod for me but she did not inform me that I would have to contact my city to obtain a Parking permit since the POD will be out in the street and that we would have to pay a extra $35 on a application fee plus $160 for the time it is out there for the week. I am very over whelmed and frustrated and I will contact customer service tomorrow to possibly get refunded and have them pick the POD up! Worst customer service ever since it was misleading! And I do not reccomend!

Their pricing is so bad....it's so expensive. They charge for everything...600 for the delivery of the pod 250 a month for storage 2600 for transportation across country. 200 for delivery and 230 for pick up once my pod. This was price gouging at its finest. And don't even try and hire a moving company as that will be 10x more expensive as they are on "stand by" until pod is delivered and you pay for the stand by fee....also the amount of phone calls from selling my information to companies that want to help me move...10+ calls a day for three weeks....F pods don't do it!

We got a quote 3 months ahead of our move and the price we were quoted was good through when our estimated time of need was determined! We called and gave the instructions for a certain day and the man delivering the POD was on time! We filled it up at our leisure and we ask for the pick up and they came on time. Then we had another POD delivered and we got the same great service. When we purchased another home and our POD's were delivered to our new address many states away! Everything was on time and nothing was damaged. We would definitely use PODS again!!

So first of all i had the POD for only a week and found out i had to have a city permit. Then i was charged $91 for a pickup fee that i was never told about and they wont give me my money back for the unknown pickup fee that the lady says its in my contract but im reading it over and it says nothing about a pickup fee ..this is a scam for only a month long storage i paid over $300 i could have just went out and bought a new shed for that and had extra storage for life . this is a joke i will never do PODS again .Its just a scam to get ur money .

I don't think you should have to count on 45 minutes of waiting for a person to talk to. Then although I scheduled the POD pickup correctly, get charged for another month and $90 fee. (Even though I was told I would be refunded, if I called back. This was my first 45 minute call.) The second call to get refund was 45 minutes of nothing and 15 minutes to find out that it is hard for them to refund me since I paid with paypal. She said she would hang up and take care of it. Nothing so far. I don't have all day and they count on this.

We moved cross country from Indianapolis, IN to Phoenix, AZ. Everything was very easy to schedule. The communication from PODS was excellent and all the charges were laid out to me clearly upfront. Upon moving everything arrived in a timely manner. It is very important to schedule any moving/redelivery of PODS as they are very busy and you may not have an opportunity to schedule something within a week or too so please schedule things in ADVANCE. That is hardly the part of PODS though, they did great for our move!

Beware of no City Service - before choosing to move using pods to a city listed on their "City Service" page, I would suggest calling to ensure they are actually offering the service. I planned to use this service for Seattle only to find out they aren't offering the City Delivery Service in Seattle (but it is still listed on their website even today). When I called it sounded like other cities are impacted too (Chicago, NY, others?). Now onto plan B since Pods was not able to offer any assistance with delivery.

If I could give this no stars I would. It started out well, and then when it came time to schedule the move it went to hell. I tried to schedule a pick up and drop off, to an area I was told they could deliver too when i first checked, I was told they are not able to deliver to that location or any area near by it. Also, as I was trying to just have them come pick up the POD no agents in the chat were available, no response to emails and no answer on the phone. 100% will not recommend to anyone

I thought that I was going to store my items with PODS for one year. It turned out that I needed to store them for a little over 5 years! When my POD was delivered, I was concerned that some of my items might not have held up well over that time. I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything looked like the day I put it in there! The staff and delivery people were always so friendly. I am hoping that I will never need a storage unit again, but if I do I will certainly choose PODS!

Pod arrived dirty upon initial delivery as it was never cleaned. Inside full of trash, literally. The door was also broken and janky. The pickup appointment was also missed, not once, but twice. You would think after missing it the first time they would make it a point to pick it up first thing in the morning the next day, but no, that was too difficult. I'll be using PackRat next time. Their customer service was better for our other container and the units are much better cared for.

PODS Indy scheduled my delivery and the day of requested I get a right of way permit from the City of Westfield. These are not required for private streets in the city, as confirmed by the City of Westfield. PODS insisted I deliver a confirmatory letter from the City on their letterhead stating this. Ridiculous, they invented an issue that didn't exist and then asked me to jump through hoops to confirm they are wrong. Terrible service and experience, DON'T USE!

Pods is a complete scam. What I was quoted and what i was charged was completely different. The lack of customer service is appalling. I called and was told the extra charges were going to be credited to my card and shocker only half was, again I called and was told there was nothing they could do. Look else where for moving needs unless you want to be ripped off. How they are able to operate by stealing money from people is mind blowing. Awful company.

Pods made our move easy and affordable. We rented two of the large pods, they were delivered when promised. They were then picked up and transferred to Indianapolis where they were stored for two months. They then were delivered to our new house, again when promised, and there was NO damage. I would definitely recommend Pods, but also hope that I never need again! But if I do I will not hesitate to use again.

was provided a wrong auction date on a unit that incorrectly had only my ex-husbands name on it; paid for over 3 years and he went it person to relinquish the unit out of spite. I contacted the AG's ofc and it "upset" the office staff, namely Noelle Richmond, so she politely told me wrong information. Am now in a position to possibly sue and probably will. All my childrens' lives were in that unit.

I used PODs for storage while selling my house and having new carpeting installed. I had it delivered a few days before my moving truck arrived. My movers took things from the pod to truck. I only touched one time. Scheduling was easy and timely. It was a bit expensive but worth it. Reduced my physical labor. I would recommend highly. Delivery men were friendly and helpful.

We had a really positive experience with PODs helping us move across the country. We had originally booked another company and PODs ended up being over $1,000 cheaper. The online system makes everything very easy to manage and we were always able to get ahold of customer service very easily. Most importantly, our possessions arrived without a single bit of damage.

200 dollars a month for basically a storage unit!?! What a joke! They do not tell you, you must get a city parking permit to have it on your property. They say you can change delivery date 48 hours before delivery. This place is honestly a joke, Rent a storage unit for 40 bucks a month that is locked and secure instead of 200 dollars a month with run arounds!

Rented PODs they bought out the 16' containers. Loaded and shipped. No problems. Until it came delivery time. They don't service the area we moved to. So now I have pay somebody pick up house hold stuff. They won't deliver anything over 50 miles. That was something that should have been said before service. They're the only POD service in Indiana.

If I could give a Zero I would. Stored our items for 4 months. Had the POD delivered today to only find water damage to most our boxes, our furniture filled with mold, including mattresses, kids toys, and clothes. We are out $10,000 in belongings. I had to hear my daughter cry herself to sleep tonight because most of her things are destroyed.

Sure, I wish the price was lower, but I have absolutely no complaints about PODS. It was a good option to store items and start moving things out of my house at my own pace, instead of all in one day. The drivers and sales reps were friendly, and the website made it very easy to manage the box's schedules. I guess you get what you pay for.

So many hidden fees...was qouted $374 was never mentioned of a pickup fee and another drop off fee. Then even asked customer service when scheduled drop off if i would have any other fees or charges. She stated no. Here i am getting charged another month rental for 2 days worth of storge. Ill never use or refer pods to anyone

We stored our household for 18 months after retirement. The professional customer service is second to none. Our POD was delivered 3 days before Christmas and picked up the day after. Everything made the 1500 mile trip and months of storage with zero issues. We highly recommend PODS for your moving and storage services.

Could not get a good enough size container, they don’t allow 12 foot containers to travel out of state, non-flexible to my schedule even though I paid them at least $2000, they are cheap because they don’t care on a national Level, local franchises may be better but the company as a whole is not worth the discount.

Website unclear of charges. The initial quote is only to drop off the container. Moving it to another location, and picking up the container, are not included in the quote. No where is this mentioned on their website. I ended up paying over $800, while my initial quote was about $365.

You can do everything on your phone, u are charged exactly what they say, no hidden fees. I wasn’t home for any of the delivers or pick ups and they went so smooth. They can pick things up or drop things up fairly rapidly 2-4 days from when u deciede if your not a planner like me.

These folks were great. My moving dates kept changing and they accommodated me every time. The Pod was perfect for my use as I also needed to store my possessions for a period of time. Delivery people were great to deal with and the loading help they recommended where the best.

Great experience moving from CO to IN. Easy to get the pod, load yourself so you know what's in there, how safely it's packed and you lock it. Storage was a reasonable price. The move was way less than a professional mover would cost and I had no damage or missing items.

Pods failed to tell us it would take 11 days to deliver our pods to our new address. The distance to our new address is 107 miles. We are not moving out of state. If pods would have told me this up front I would have used another means to transport our belongings

I was told if I gave 48 hrs notice I could change my pickup of my pod. Now I'm being told they will not do so. And are wanting to charge me extra money I should not have to be out, if they picked it up on time. This shouldn't happen.

I highly recommend PODS primarily because they were timely and did exactly what they said they would do. Our POD was delivered and picked up ON TIME with zero issues. Drivers were friendly and new what they were doing.

Major time saver and It was placed in front of my garage so I could load up my items and then placed in front of my new homes garage. Unloading and loading it was so much easier, and in my own time frame!!

It is an expensive service. But the customer service employee I spoke to when getting my quote was amazing! The pods have a popcorn type ceiling and it gets all over your stuff. It will also scuff items.

Office was closed but there were guys driving around moving Pods. One stopped asked what he could help with and directed me to my Pod to unload. Was quiet and clean. Bonus the pod was indoors.

They don't deliver to Columbus. So I have to go rent a U-Haul, drive to Indianapolis, unload my POD onto the U-Haul, take it back to Columbus, and unload it at my house...WHAT A JOKE!
