I love this place. It makes it hard to choose with other places in the area, but dont pass this place up! The slices are tasty, reasonably priced, and a good size. They have an interesting menu and great dining area, both inside and out. The staff were also friendly and helpful when ordering. I recommend the Mango Macaroon dessert thing. Trust me on this. My 2nd visit: I highly recommend the pizza burger, vanilla macaroon, and mango beer on tap. The chips that come with the pizza burger are fire! I even came back to post the pics!

Oz Pizza offers an interesting and delicious selection of thin, New York style pizza by the slice. I walked up to the counter and there must have been a dozen different pizza trays - very impressive. I chose a veggie slice topped with a generous mix of peppers, olives, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and feta. I've heard the margherita is fantastic too. I look forward to returning to try it! I went for a late lunch at 2pm on a Saturday, and found the atmosphere to be friendly and low-key. I took a seat at a table by a front window and enjoyed the people and dog-watching with my meal. It's a good place for solo dining, and I imagine it would be fun with a group. Well worth a visit either way.

Not sure how this place survived the pandemic; this is truly awful pizza. The crust is devoid of all flavor and that's basically 90% of what makes pizza good or not- anyone can find decent toppings and they do have a variety of pies. I'm not picking on these guys to be honest; San Francisco is filled with subpar pizza shops: The Pizza place on Noriega, Golden Edge, every pizza place in the Tenderloin, even Golden Boy regardless of its popularity amongst drunk partiers... Hopefully these guys change up their crust recipe; the service is actually great and the employees are very friendly. I'm a veteran of pizza shops and the crust is the ONE thing that if you change it for the better your business WILL pick up!

Food was so good and just happy they stay open late and on Halloween our whole family was able to eat two xl pizza with sodas, water and even shared with people that passed by. Really loved how they had seats in from of the building as most of us where hot it was so nice and convenient with two bus stops near by. The 24 and 33 bus lines. Also wallgreens was open 24 hours right across the street great location.

My favorite ❤️pizza place. They are far from Basic..they are originators and designers in pizzaville. This is not ya mom & pops pizza(no offense). This is the QUEEN of Pizzaville, it classy and sassy...love them Kind staff, Quick service in under 5 minutes I received: My favorite pizza: 2 slices of their Pesto, Potato, & Garlic pizza... Scrumptious My Favorite Drink: A Chardonnay... Decadent My favorite Dessert: after my meal the is Brick's Vanilla & Mango Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches...To die for!!!The only place that have them. I'll see yall soon❤️

PUBLIC HAZARD: COCKROACHES! Since the owner reply is so friendly. Maybe this is where they source ingredients for their exotic pizza. Im not hating on you. But y'all have to do something about your cleanliness. Came here after a night out to try the pizza and there was a swarm of them running along the front counter. They ended up diving behind the signs and paper advertisement they had. First time in my life seeing this critters in a restaurant. Not sure how they influence food but you bet I am not going to find out.

Oz Pizza fits right into this cute little neighborhood. It's a quick and easy place to grab a late night slice (albeit a bit pricey) and if you’re an adventurous one they even have exotic toppings for you to try. On a side note, these exotic toppings are perfect for pranking friends (what? you mean I ate alligator???). Yes. You sure did. If there’s any complaint on my end besides the price, it’s the oiliness of each slice. Yea, I get that it’s a New York slice, but does it have to be dripping in oil when I pick it up?

The only pizza place that I've been to that serves other meat toppings that you wouldn't normally see in a Pizzeria. I won't tell you which one but its wort it. They serve per slice or whole round of variety custom pizza. Go check them out. It's also around the Castro District, it's a great place to go before hitting the club its always better to have food in your stomach before you chug some drinks.

My first time visiting here. I chose chorizo & mushroom (the last slice), but when I got home I noticed it had a slimy texture. I thought it was the cheese but when I looked closer I could see the pizza dough wasn’t cooked all the way through, it tasted of raw dough, so I had to throw it away

Good late night pizza on Castro. I got the fig/arugula/goat cheese slice which was a party and I liked! I usually go simple, mushroom, cheese or pepperoni, and this was a nice surprise. I like that they're open past 10pm but the area starts getting sketchy as it gets later.

Oz has my favorite pizza in the city. You can fill up on a couple of their large slices with lots of interesting toppings --- potatoes, garlic cloves, figs, exotic meats, etc.

Ordered two slices. 9 bucks a piece. One was pep and mushroom. They said it was 3 toppings. Lol wut. Other slice wasn't even listed and somehow was more expensive than 90% of their other slices. Weak sauce. Not worth the price + tip. Going someplace else in the future.

Update: They cancelled the charge I admit I was black out drunk, but they charged me for pizza and then charged my boyfriend for my pizza and his. My card was ran for $15 .90, his was ran for $20.41 and charged. And then they tried 20.41 again and it failed. Then he was charged $17.75. We just got 2 slices of pizza each.

This place has the best vegetarian pizza in the bay area. I think the secret may be that they marinate the fresh tomatoes in some kind of delicious dressing; really makes it pop. Delivery is always fast, and my order is always accurate (although seriously, I just order that veggie pizza over and over, I like it so much).

  • Eddie Rodriguez

Wickedly good pizza! We had the BBQ chicken and the dough just melted like milk chocolate... Sounds strange but it was wildly good. The customer service was phenomenal as well. In the same night we went to the place up the street and they were very rude and took cash only. Don't go there... Eat here instead.

  • JRC

These guys make some of the best pizza in the city. I especially love the Figgy Piggy. I am really glad that they are open late all the time, as I am out at drag shows fairly often and usually get hungry. It is nice to have a great, albeit pricey, option right in the heart of the Castro.

  • Tanner Hanson

Expensive slices, but they are pretty big. Really really overly cheesey, and therefore greasy. If you like that, this place is great. Not my favorite, but I see why people would like it. And they had ostrich meat on pizza, so maybe I'll be back to try something like that.

  • Mark Lillie

I like Oz better than Marcello's. Their sauce isn't too tomatoey and the crust is not too thick. One thing I have a problem with is I can never find a combo. They get a little too fancy with their specialty pizzas and forever about us that like the old combos.

Pizza is quite good but dear god the prices are ridiculous. I know SF is expensive for real estate but so is NYC but in New York, they are not trying to get rich off of each slice. Exceptionally overpriced but so are all pizza shops in this city.

  • Anthony Messina

I was 100% planning on heading to Chinatown for dinner on this specific night, but it was my last night and when I searched for exotic eats this place popped up. Reason being was their kangaroo and camel pizzas. I love trying wacky things

  • Bert Scholl

Thin sliced pizza. Really thin. Exactly like a East Coast guy like me wants it. Big selection of “by the slice. We had a white pesto slice and a pepperoni.

A lot of places claim to serve NY Pizza, but Oz is so good that if you dropped it on a corner in any borough, it would instantly be one of the best joints in town. I cant imagine going to SF again and not getting a slice. More

Pizza is great! This is a review based on simply trying to order multiple times! who ever works at night makes it almost impossible to get delivery. The phone is always "busy". A lazy/rude staff screws up a great pizza spot.

Great place to just grab a slice and a beer in the Castro. Easy and quick. Before or after the bars or on weekends are best. From NYC area and one of best slices in SF, but don't tell my friends I said that.

I really didn't care for the pizza I had here. I don't know if I chose the wrong flavors or something but it was dry, little to no sauce and the flavors were just... off. I won't go back, Spendy as well.

This pizza shop is pretty darn good. Pizza topping options are endless. You can even order camel meat as a topping. My favorites are the pesto varieties and veggie slices. Give it a try!

  • S. Lopez (SunDevil311)

Some of the pizza looked like it had been sitting out a bit, but came out alright. BBQ Chicken pizza a bit on the saucey side. Not bad if you're nearby, but nothing particularly special.

  • Sarah D

Best pizza in the Castro! They have exotic flavors but their run of the mill ones like cheese, pepperoni sausage etc are also excellent. Served by the slice in big floppy NYC style.

Pizza was OK. We ordered to go, and it took upwards to an hour to get ours, even though they said it should be done in at most 30 min. I'd guess the single slices as better.
