I recently found this hidden treasure of an art Gallery on Gardiner Row, not far away from the Writers Museum and Hugh Lane Gallery. The Curator, Olivier is very friendly and unassuming, and it was refreshing to receive such a warm welcome. No pressure, no unwanted attention and ready, willing and able to assist with any of the interesting and diverse works of Art not easily found elsewhere. Minute attention to detail and very interesting contemporary exhibitions and involvement in many current issues being expressed through Media and the Arts. I love it and I’m looking forward to my next visit already! There’s a sign to ring the doorbell – I think you’ll be glad you did!
Olivier Cornet Gallery has consistently curated exhibitions of quality and interest and also collaborates across disciplines. It is always a pleasure to attend openings there given the quality and range of the opening speakers. As a participant in VUE the Olivier Cornet gallery has been praised for it's focused yet broad ranging collaborations and thematic explorations. The gallery itself presents a fantastic airy and refreshing space - and the people - personable and knowledgeable.
This is my favourite gallery. Always interesting works and regular live performances. A true patron for the more eclectic tastes. Sculptures, paintings, mixed media, with influences ranging from the classical styles to post modernist/futurists. You will not be disappointed. With arguably one of the most amenable hosts in Olivier himself. A man who is passionate about art and the artists he exhibits. Well worth a visit. Regularly.
This is one of my favourite galleries in Dublin. It's a little haven, packed with contemporary Irish art, from paintings to ceramics to wood art, in a gorgeous old building. Exhibitions and events change frequently so there's always something new to see. The staff are very helpful, passionate about the artists they represent and about the local history of the area. It's always a treat to spend time at the Olivier Cornet gallery.
A gem in the heart of the city! Exquisite small gallery with high quality pieces of modern art. The exhibition I had the pleasure to see was well displayed and cured. I particularly appreciated the small room with works from previous exhibitions, which enabled me to get to know different artists at the same time. The owner is friendly and very welcoming.
Super galerie!
Wonderful gallery. Olivier and his team will always make you feel welcome (and won't do a hard sell either, so don't be afraid, ring the doorbell!). The Olivier Cornet Gallery is a hidden gem, a stone's throw away from the Hugh Lane Gallery and the Writers' Museum. Well worth a visit!
I was delighted to pay my first visit to this gallery and found a great exhibition: Outrageous, Obscene and Offensive underway. I particularly loved Claire Halpin's work but it was all worth seeing.
Very rude manager and owner at the place, perhaps he had a rough day. Didn’t get the chance to visit the gallery properly. Feel sorry for the very sweet girl working there as an intern.
Lovely gallery with a wonderful, diverse range of pieces and a very friendly owner :) Definitely worth ringing the bell!
A sui generis space devoted to both the art business and the business of art. A gallery like no other!!!!!!!!!!
A delightful insight into a Dyptych by an artist Claire by the owner really warmed me to this unique gallery.
