Friday,4/28/17 I came to purchase an office chair with a friend. I sat in every chair trying to find one comfortable enough as well as in height and if it leaned a little. Price didn't matter looking for comfort. So, I'm attempting to adjust it not knowing how it works. That's when I noticed a gentleman (so I thought) in the department. I said, excuse me do you work here. His smart alec response with a smirk is No! I'm the person that assembles all the items in the store including that chair your sitting in. I just said; oh ok could you please tell me how it works. Would of been nice but, Instead of coming over to show me. He's standing from a distance telling me, I'm doing it wrong. How i need to pull the handle outward. There were 3 handles not saying which one. Then calling me, sweetie saying; SLOWER&LOUDER patronizing me. As if that would make it any better.. I did finally get the handle unlock which leaned way to far back. Him giving a smirk again as I'm saying; oh no not this one. If he took as much pride into explaining what he did there. To the effort of showing someone or I how it works hands on. And not making the customer feel incompetent. THEN I'D HAVE A BETTER REVIEW! Trying out all the chairs. I found the one I like most. It was on sale and easy to maneuver. I did purchase other items there the store cashier and two sales guys one older very nice attentive to help, explain and recommend other items. The younger gentleman that help me carry the big box to my vehicle.. Glad the actual employees were very nice. This is the only reason for 3Stars

The first occasion the lady flat out just tried to come up with reasons as to why she couldn’t do it so I didn’t waste much time and left to the other location off of edgebrook where the customer service was just as horrible. Still at the second location was unable to get cards made due to their color printer being broken..... Today I went back and the lady working told me she didn’t know how to make business cards, and the only one that knew how to do it was the supervisor, who had just left at 1pm on a Monday. Then she told me no customers were allowed to use the computers to design their own cards. It’s no wonder these stores are closing down. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service at both locations on the gulf freeway in Houston.
I applied for a job online and took a hard math test and the ask you the same question test. I passed it and got called the next day for an interview at this location with the General Manager Leslie. The interview went great she had a good personality similar to me and she even offered me a raise. She said the only thing I needed was a clear background check. About three days passed and I called her back and the GM Leslie said my background came back clean but she wanted me to do a second interview? in Kemah,TX??? Anyways I accepted the interview which was 60 miles from my home. Showed up to the interview and the General Manager was not there and he had no clue I was even coming. I called Leslie who still insisted I come back that Monday out to Kemah again. My thing is you missed your opportunity already so why am I being subjected to more time being wasted. So this is why they are getting one star.

This is the worst office Depot I have ever been too, I showed up at 12:00 p.m., spoke with a female named Maria. Asked for assistance creating a business card. Was told I can do it online myself or she could help me for $20. I tried to explain I was having difficulty doing it online but was interrupted with attitude stating she had already told me to do it online or I would be charged$20. It is now 1:45 pm and I am still having trouble with the website. Not do I have business cards. The GM of this store is Tim, I've been waiting in line for almost an hour. Allowed people to get in front of me so I could be seen by him. He refused to speak to me. It is now 2:32P.M. with no help, or same day service. Them AIs are going to be replacing this kind of service sooner than we think.
I come here all the time and the Black lady who works over the printing in the day time is cool. Always cordial and getting to business. Talks sometimes, but is working diligently while doing so. But that black lady, who works at night time and who is dark skin (I’m black too so don’t start with the racism) is awful. Printed my resume wrong and on wrong paper, often deals with customers who are not interested in talking to her by making “surprised” expressions at other customers for approval (I guess she needs an audience) and talks too much and continues to do a horrible job. I hate going here to print out my stuff at night. She is that bad. If I had to print something at night I would just wait til the morning or go to a different location
Called early in the morning around 8:30am to clarify if I order business cards online, would they be available the same day for pickup;The lady said yes. I come to Office Depot to get the cards printed and she says it’ll take 3-5 business days for double sided (didn’t mention this over the phone). She tells me it’ll be ready by 2pm today then proceeds to ring up the total which comes out to $65. Online the price was only $22, she says they have to charge extra since it’s double sided but even then that’s only $44 not $65. The lady acted like she didn’t want to be bothered, had an attitude. I tried To ask another employee about the price difference and he didn’t even know. These people need to be retrained, customer service skills are poor.
I like the place fine and all everything is great however there is one minor issue i have, i came in today to check out some of the stuff they have and supplies i might need, since it's scorching how outside it is obvious you might want to stay inside for a prolong period not too long though. Well one thing i hate with a passion is when employees are constantly asking you do you need help, if you need help it serves to reason you would ask you don't need employees pestering you, it's annoying then one of the clerks who i think was the manager said that i been here something along the lines of a prolonged period of time. Well duhhh, it's scorching out there, plus i was waiting on my sis, killing of time. It creeped me out.
I came Friday night December 15th 2023. I came to fix some business cards that I had printed there was a misspelling. Blanca was there and attended to me and she is so professional. Her attitude towards customer service is exceptional. I was so impressed with her attentiveness and the way she treated me with a smile and took her time not only to correct the business cards but make a whole new one which blew me away. Her design was flawless. Her professionalism and customer service is exceptional !!! I will come back to this office Depot and deal with Blanca for all my office needs especially when it comes to designing or remaking my business cards Thank you Blanca for making my office Depot experience very pleasurable
I ordered a printer online that said it was available for instore pick up, the next day I get a message saying the order couldn't be fulfilled because the item was out of stock. The email I received said that I wouldn't be charged, but the money did come out. I tried to call and figure out what happened. The first employee I spoke was a woman who had an attitude and hung the phone up on me after I explained the situation. The next employee put me on hold to talk to manager, no one ever picked up. Poor customer service here, and I will never shop at that thus location again. I would give this store no stars but that isn't possible.
Horrible service today from 2-3 pm in the copier area 11/11/20. There were 3 workers in the copier area. About 8 people in line, only 2 of the 4 copiers working and I must have waited about 45 minutes patiently and finally, I got to use the computer and it quit working so I asked for help and some girl came to mess with it and said it was fixed and it was not. The whole time I was waiting in line a black woman was making copies, I felt bad for her because she asked for help several times and did not get it. I would go in there at least 10 times a month but not anymore.
Not happy that this is the only office depot where the employees can not print documents from websites. Some secure websites will not allow documents to be saved and e-mail thus, if you are not printing from the website it will not e-mail. The employees are very nice and welcoming but, who ever made this ridiculous decision to stop this store from printing from websites, is an idiot. This store is the closest to my work but, I am limited to what I can accomplish thus, putting things off to my day off to utilize my Office Depot by my home. EXTREMELY IRRITATING!!!!
This is the most RACIST Office Depot in the city they only cater to Spanish customers and could careless about African American customers you can tell how they service the Spanish clients with respect compared to how they service the black community. They definitely need a new set of management here to implement equal opportunity customer service I have been here several times and have seen the same pattern nothing ever changes I will escalate this to corporate as well. They act as if we are doing them a favor instead of treating us like paying clients.
The general manager here is so so so nice and amazing. The first people who tried to take care of me didn't try very hard or seemed to care much when my valid coupon wouldn't work on the system. The manager came over on her own and took over. She ended up helping me both at check out and she helped me look for items I was looking for. Very impressed by her. The store itself is clean and well stocked with plenty of parking. The Home Depot next door does have some stray shopping carts in their parking lot however.
Waited in the front counter to pay for almost 15 minutes, when I was ready to pay, along with a few other costumers. There was only one associate visible who seemed to be inundated with other costumers at the copy and print center. With no other associate in sight I left my items at the counter and walked out after it was clear that nobody was handling the front register. Very unprofessional and absent work team. Conditions at this location didn't used to be so bad. So conveniently close but so disappointing.
Awful customer service, had to witness a rude black employee, prob in her 40s, bad mouthing the old people there who only needed help. I wasted too much of my time there trying to print my certificate as I struggled but she kept denying service, giving the whole place a bad mood. NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE, WHERE ARE THE DAMN EMPLOYEES??? They should have been trained enough to show and help, not to be lazy and careless. Wouldn't bother stopping by here for their services if you really need them.
They're lucky that I can't give them ZERO stars. I never write reviews, but this place deserves it. I've been there three times and every time I left angry and disappointed. The staff is rude and slow. If you ask them for something, they always have a dumb excuse to why they can't do it. DO NOT USE THEIR SHIPPING OR PRINT CENTER. If you need to go to a OD, go to the one Kirby. I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS DAMN PLACE.
Worst service ever!!! Waited over an hour for someone to pull furniture from the back, left to go to lunch because it was taking so long. Came back to pick up, get all the way to the office and find out we’re missing the second box of the desk. Waited on hold for 10 minutes to get a manager on the phone. Buying 2 desks was overall a four hour long experience! Awful customer service from employees and manager!
The folks here were very helpful. It was my first time there so I didn't know how the layout was. Either way, they didn't hesitate to help. Maybe it was because no one goes to Office Depot at 9AM generally, but this place was pretty dead. They had nice music going, though. Anyway, will definitely go here for other office supplies if needed since it's convenient and I had a good experience.
So rude! Spoke to the manager over the phone and she sounded very unprofessional and like she didn't care about her job. I've worked for their competitor before and I know that she could have found a resolution to my problem of loosing a receipt by offering to look it up with my rewards or by returning it without one but her response when asked was simply "no" and hung up.
There’s not enough staff. I probably saw only see three people in the ENTIRE store. I wanted to print something and it literally took me like 20 minutes. I tried to get assistance And I had to get in the register line because nobody was around!!! I also had a 30% coupon, but It wasn’t applied in my purchase and I didn’t want to go stand in line again! So disappointing
The staff was friendly and helpful but the place is a mess. Empty boxes in the aisles, product all over the place, shopping carts left right in front of the doors. Ladder was left out and unchained. Whole staff needs training on cleaniness. Checkout needed a couple taps for NFC to work, but otherwise fine.
Service is ok. I was transferred to the ups, & copy printing waited 10minutes on the phone & no one answered. Totally hanged up!! SOME LADYS ARE JUST RUDE TOO. I HAVE DROPPED OFF SOME PACKAGES and the lady grabs it & throws it & falls to the floor it contained a phone! Wow dont recommend coming here.

I called to see if they had a type of paper in stock. Was placed on hold for 10 minutes only to be told that they were out of stock and that I would have to come in person for them to help me find it at a different location. This location has horrible management and customer service.
The Lady, who was at the counter to print something out or copies, very patient got the job done, she had long lines, but she got to every customer, and got the job done. We had papers printed out, copied and sent to email, so we could send the papers to the person we needed to
Called the store ask if they make Notary seal stamps same day , the stamp and printing department said yes while you wait , when i arrived no body was in printing department working , after 40 minutes waiting I was told the store doesn't make or sell Notary seal stamps.
Prices for some things are too high. There have been times the item cost for example ~$20 online, but in store priced ~$40. Some things not consistently stocked. Don't shop here. Shop online or at least store pickup so you don't have to pay double for some items.
Total waste of time ! I checked online for a bluetooth keyboard at a particular store I went to the store only to discover that not only did they not have the product listed but that it had been discontinued. An update to the website would have been helpful

I recently re-ordered flyers for my company because the first ones turned out great, the ones that i ordered today came out too zoomed out and part of my companies name is missing & they have not answered phone to try and help.
Decent amount of supplies, may want to check online before coming. This location is a UPS Drop Off location that is pretty convenient and they will take packages up to close, even though pick up will be the next day after 4 pm

The employees would rather stand around then help people at the self printing area. EVERYTIME I go to ANY office Depot I have to ask why there isn't anyone helping people. CLEARLY people struggle with these.
Every time I go out takes about an hour to print what I need. They keep putting people that are not computer literate in charge of the printing department. Update to 3 stars, it has gotten better over time.

10/21/18 the cashiers and customer service were fantastic. They helped find the same item I was looking for on the Depot website $5 cheaper than in the store and gave it to me for that price.

terrible service at the copy center. The manager of the copy center is extremely un-skilled and make the easy thing messed up totally. You will waste time, money and be treated rudely.
I often use the printing and copy station and the girls are very helpful. I wanted to copy a handful of documents and they took their time to help me to do it myself at my own phase.
Bad attitude. The printing lady accidentally printed the wrong size papers and still had the audacity to charge me for her mistake! The absolute worst office depot I've ever been to!
