  • "Daughter and dad out for a walk"

"I've gone of this walk numerous times with my family who live in the area and still absolutely love it! Such a great walk and can have you out of the house, keeping active for hours and hours depending on how far around it you choose to go! Very beautiful, quite shaded in spots so you're not totally exposed to the sun but I'd always suggest wearing a hat and sunglasses with sunscreen reapplied regularly! And bring water! It's a mainly flat track but you might be walking for 2+ hours so keep that in mind! Also, be mindful on hot days that snakes may be around so keep a watchful eye at all times :)"

Daughter and dad out for a walk. We started out at Parrot Road and did a 15km round trip. Interesting hill climb at the start, but certainly got us both warm. I like how the track follows the contour of the aqueduct, meaning you are never far from shade. Fair to say that much more shade than sun - good for me when I'm walking. The tall trees are a delight to walk between and the amount of bird life means you are always immersed in the sounds of nature. The track is really well maintained. Will look for a different starting point next time so we can see more of the track. Turns out I'm not as fit as I thought I was! Thanks to Parks Vic staff for the great walk.

Such a beautiful walk, very scenic in parts and often mainly flat. I took a picnic and rug and found a nice spot to enjoy the ambiance of nature. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and I only saw a handful of people on bikes go past over a number of hours, no other walkers. No trouble finding a car park to access the track and it was well marked and maintained.

Great natural trail, with a way to embrace yourself in nature. Will be perfect for anyone, even for a short walk, or a long hike. Bike riding is also popular here, would recommend it. You should just ask a friend if there is any small construction along in some sections. This trail also extends to other areas, like water parks in villas, and along the way you may find a secret path that descends to a waterfall. From there you can drink water from the flowing river - it's fresh and natural.

Beautiful trail we walked along. But I'd ride next time. Nice wide flat trail through the rainforest.

At some of the car parks along the trail had restroom like 'near' Dee's Rd car park but it's a decent way off the track. It's along the road leading to the car park.

Pleasantly surprised with a drive to the the trial at the end of the Dee Road in Millgrove. Ample car space with stunning views of the Upper Yarra Valley. Road up the trail towards Warburton easily and it would be suitable for young family. Lots of shade with sneak views to the valley below. Walks or ride the trail are both enjoyable and whilst there is limited shade at the car park their are lots of grassed area to run around in or play ball. Paul

Have heard a lot about the O'shannassy trail and surprised it had taken so long to get to it. Really enjoyed. very flat track, wide enough for a vehicle if they were allowed. towering pine plantations and lots of native Aussie bush the entire route. 14km there and back. I did Dee rd to Younga rd. Dee bridge currently out of commission which I did not realise till I got there. will be back to complete other sections.

A lovely walking, biking or running track. The bridge is closed, so there's a (very muddy) walk around under the bridge, which can be quite slippy. There's a rope to help you up one side however! The rest of the walk goes on for a good way and it's a great walk to take your dog on leash. Plenty of nice views and a few interesting points along the way. Some nice wildlife to be seen and great for fresh air in general!

We walked the 4km section from Dee Road Carpark return in the morning. Gorgeous scenery and saw a lyrebird, heard another, lots of yellow robins, an olive whistler and some Bassian thrush amongst others. Easy level walking, in the shade mostly so quite chilly but beautiful and sunny back at the picnic tables.

  • Mountain Hiker

The bike trails from Dee road park to Redwood Forest took me 3.5 hours to complete a 34km through and back. Certain stretches from Redwood Forest back to Shaunhennsy I had to walk the bike up. You get scenic fern forests along the way . No toilets along the way.

This is a beautiful track to hike ,you can go as far as you want ,flat track between the rd18 car park to Dee rd and return or start at Dee Rd car park and return total 14ks , then lunch /coffee at Symphony 36 in Warburton ps l have done a review also …

The trail is great, but unfortunately a tree has fallen on the bridge, and it has a very steep slippery detour! It should be closed!! It has been like this for several months. I would recommend NOT!! using the detour!!!! It is dangerous!!!!!

A great place for an easy walk in a forest. Not for adventure seeking ones, as it's a very well maintained flat and wide gravel path. The bridge is still closed, and it seems no work is being really done there. If you're walking, you can

Great trail which follows the old O'Shanassy aqueduct and is great for getting out into beautiful bushland without having to go up and down. Also good for bike riding with mountain or gravel bikes.

  • Helen Williams

Lovely walk that you can do in sections. Can be a bit confusing at times to find start of track from different carparks which could be fixed with better signage. We love it.

  • Michael Vine

Beautiful place to visit. Take a long walk along the aqueduct and maybe you'll be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a lyrebird or two
