Don’t get me wrong the staff and vendors that work here are great, but it is what it is after all, and by that I mean sometimes you will be troubled with the inconveniences of a bustling international airport. For better or worse O’hare is more often than not the best option for travel through the greater Chicagoland area. Sure, if we had the option to go through Midway we probably would have preferred the low-key route. Here you’re going to deal with long lines, crowded terminals and gate changes galore. However, if you’re going to have a significant layover, O’hare will offer you more food choices as well as some nice lounges and bars to kick back and relax while you wait for your flight.

So here’s the deal with Chicago O’Hare International airport, The reputation of the airport is good, the airport has a good atmosphere in it and you can get through the airport easily. There are some flaws though, one of them is that the airport is very confusing and with the people coming in it makes the whole entire experience much more difficult. Another flaw is that since the airport is always so busy there’s NO PARKING ANYWHERE! All the parking garages and even the drop off lanes are always packed. Food at the airport is good and service is good. All in all I would come to the airport again.

One of the busiest airports I travel through! It’s HUGE! So glad to see it full again! Security checkpoint takes a while sometime but other times it goes through quick. I usually travel with American Airlines, favorite airline, and everything has always been good. I recently flew my Jack Russell with them in a carrier I got from Walmart, for the first time, and everything went smooth. Was a bit worried because I have read many reviews complaining about their pets being denied but all went good for us.

Chicago O’Hare Airport is clean and some of the employees are friendly. My group missed our layover that was supposed to fly out of O’Hare due to weather and they provided cots for sleeping and a blanket. Food was all closed so there was no way to eat, after being stuck in the air for hours and then missing the layover. Then security came by around 4:00 in the morning and literally KICKED the cots telling everyone to get up, like it was prison! I hope to never be trapped in this airport again.

Arrived in Terminal 5, someone in management needs to visit a terminal built in the 21st Century....Terminal staff just shout no welcome to Chicago.Customs was swift, bag reclaim a zoo and then the real joy. Disney queues to get on charter buses for the connecting flight. Many staff just standing around pointing and shouting. No staff helping passengers up the bus steps with bags....is this really the first impression Chicago Airport want to offer to international arriving passengers ?

This review is during the pandemic so it will be different than normal times. First of all it was pretty empty and few places were open. I was connecting from EWR to DFW. They were doing a good job of making sure that people were physically distant or at least know about being distant. Only a very few shops and no lounges in the area were open. That’s the reality of flying now.

I’ve been to O’Hare a lot over the years. Even needing to stop by is like pulling teeth... far too busy, terrible engineering requiring folks to literally get shuttles across the tarmac behind security, and constant over crowding forcing airplanes to circle ad infinitum, or even landing elsewhere to refuel. Awful.

This airport is massive...it's no joke! It's beautiful and clean, all the staff were helpful. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from (yeah, even a few vegan options for me!). I missed a connecting flight as my original flight departed late. The attendant at the UA desk was very helpful.

Signs are too small and nobody is will to help hardly... thanks to the two guys who told me where to go.. this place is huge and have toney one side of airport to the other barley catching other flight.. they won’t call and hold plane for you

I actually love the train, but they need another sign on the wall to the stairwell/escalator and in the elevator to indicate that you have to go down to get to the train station. It’s very unclear with the current signage from terminal 1.

This is a nice airport, modern, easy to follow for the instruction, the staff are super friendly, and quite huge airport, dont get lost, you can go between terminal using buses, and this airport is super busy

Wow this is a world class experience Everyone boarding have to be on a line trust me you need to get there 2hrs before departure so you won't miss your flight.

We actually used Midway however we went to drop someone off and used the departure terminals. Overall good experience and pretty good layout with directions.

Beautiful large airport. Can be busy but that’s normal for airport this size. Restrooms can be cleaner

This was my fifth trip to Chicago in the last four years, the only one that I arrived at ORD at night.

The staff is very friendly and polite and it's easy to find your way around

Departures have easy in n out. Arrivals is traffic jam all the time
