Just went today for lunch…4-3-22… restaurant was almost empty. The young hostess didn’t smile at anyone coming in. There was a family in front of us that wanted a particular waitress and their party was good sized. They opted out of being sat at the available table and decided to wait for the one they wanted. This sparked an eye roll from the hosts who turned her attention to us. She asked us to wait so she could clean a booth (even though there were several empty tables and booths). Nevertheless, we waited. She made a full trip around the restaurant before cleaning the booth. Maybe,….ocd or something? Who knows? We were greeted right away by our server, Sharon. We thought the hostess may have just been having a bad day at this point. She got our drink order out right away, took our order, and brought us rolls. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a salad. It took 30 minutes to get our food. The fries were lukewarm. The salad had wilted lettuce in it. We were going to order a to go meal but thought better of it. She never came to ask how our food was. We asked for mustard and had to ask again. At this point she had picked up a third table. And then, she disappeared. So we waited and waited for our check. I got up and approached another server who was standing at the waitress stand DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE TO GO BOXES and asked her for one of them and explained that we were ready to leave and didn’t know where our server was and she flipped the box impatiently behind her and said, “HERE”….. … so apparently none of them wanted to be bothered with doing their jobs today. Not the O’Charley’s I worked for years ago when Jay and Dave were in charge. We never saw a manager while we were in there so the infamous “table touch” that O’Charley’s used to practice didn’t happen either. This place disappointed today and I won’t be back.

We used to drive to the location in Greenfield but we decided to try a different location (Southport location). It's about the same length of a drive for us. Amazing the difference there is between the two. Every bit of our order came out hot, correct and very tasty. At the Greenfield location, we always had something wrong with our order, like fries were cold or once the cod fish was very watery, almost like it wasn't cooked long enough. Several times our food tasted like it frylied in old grease. Seems they were always short-handed too. We wud get our meal and never saw our server until they dropped off the bill. We will be going back to the Southport location where the server was very attentive, the food was very tasty and even some of the other servers that passed by our table wud say a quick hello, like each one working appreciated our being there. I don't know if they really did but they gave us the feeling that they all cared. So, Yes, we'll be making our drive back to the Southport location!

I ordered chutney chicken dinner with sweet smashed potatoes, broccoli, and side of mac'cheese. That is how it was specifically ordered. The server did not bring broccoli, and the sweet smashed potatoes tasted like they came from a can that was unsweetened no cinnamon or brown sugar, or even butter in them. I was mostly finished with my meal before she came back around our table or was visible to tell her. By that time, it was too late. She brought our second basket of roles requested out toward the end of our meal, not after she took the empty basket back to the kitchen, I gave her a tip only not the large tip I Normally leave. She still did her job just poorly. The cost of the food that was served was not worth their prices they have there. I won't be going back to that restaurant. I have children who have and still serve, and they are appalled. Everytime our server went into the kitchen, she just disappeared for 10 or 20 min. Even when she came out, she did not check on our table. They did not appear yo be that crowded.

Five FULL stars for this spot. Even on a busy, very difficult night, with uptight (and in a couple of cases, flat-out WACKY) demanding customers, this location gave us a fantastic experience last night. Our server Annette and manager on duty Lupe, were so professional and kept operations going as smoothly as possible, even with customers present who were being intentionally belligerent and FOOLISHLY petty. **A word to patrons: if you can’t respect HARD working staff in a food service establishment, who are doing the best they can in a challenging environment, then stay home, heat up a frozen pizza, and keep your toxic attitude, temper and ego away from servers and managers who are already spread too thin. Those are HARD jobs, and they have a lot to put up with for no more than they earn. YOU couldn’t do what they do.** The food was just amazing, the place was clean and well-appointed, and we appreciated how much staff CARED about our experience. Go see Annette - fantastic, experienced server. Thank you to staff for all you do each day. We’ll be back, for sure.

Tia, waitress I had, deserves at the very minimum, a $20 gas/gift card, should be 2 gift cards if not just a $50 gift card. Tia made my lunch time so nice and enjoyable when I visited on Monday November 28thThis lady was on the ball! Made sure my drink didn't get below half a glass, was able to answer questions, had a wonderful attitude, she was warm and welcoming, very personable yet still professional. Will definately be coming back here for lunch much sooner than later!

This restaurant is struggling. The good: We were seated pretty quickly, our server was very friendly and did a decent job, the prices were reasonable and portion sizes sufficient. The bad: they are understaffed. When we left there was a long line of people waiting to be seated. Getting our food and refills took a while. The decor is out-dated, the menu options are uninspiring (My fried chicken salad was pretty boring). The ugly: the place is filthy, supplies (silverware & napkins, cleaning supplies) are sitting out in the open. The glass partitions are covered in fingerprints. I am doubtful they could keep this place looking decent with the small staff (who looked very busy, so I don't blame them). I think they need to shut down and figure out a better way to operate. I hate to give such a lousy review because the servers are doing their best, but we will not return to this restaurant. I do not recommend dining here.

My son and I ate lunch today and it was by far our worst experience at O'Charleys we've ever had since we've been dining at O'Charleys. Katie was our server and she's usually great, I think today she must've been overwhelmed, for most of the time, we thought she was the only server on the floor, we had to get up and get our own side plates and silverware, my salad was less than adequate in size to what it normally is, the lettuce was brown and wilted, the cheese wedges were under cooked. The side of rice for one of entrées was slimy and tasted horrible, they did replace that side, I never got a refill. The Manager Jay, super nice and always friendly stopped by, we were constantly dodging gnats, so gross. I never saw a Bartender. Although they adjusted our bill by taking my salad off, it was an unacceptable experience, money wasted and we definitely won't be back.

Update: the manager reached out to me and invited us back. We went for lunch over the weekend and the food was so much better. Great servers and good management at this location! Although the server was wonderful, the food was terrible. All of our sides were cold (fries, smashed potatoes), and my smashed potatoes were stiff and crusty, as if they had been plated up for 20 minutes. My grilled BBQ pork chops were pale and has sauce slopped on top. When we turned the chop over there was breading on the other side, making it clear that someone had scraped the coating off a breaded chop and tried to pass it off as grilled. My son's seafood combo platter was cold and rubbery. My husband's steak was well done (he ordered medium rare). The only thing that tasted and looked as it should was the appetizer (spinach and artichoke dip). Our server did a good job, considering she had to cover the bar and a large section, but she was not the one that brought out our food, so did not know how foul it was.

While my food was delicious.....the service was less than friendly. Our waitress served people first that she sat down AFTER us......we asked for rolls not once but twice. I personally feel that because of our race we received the horrible service from her that we did. It was obvious she did not want to serve us, she never smiled at us and even acknowledged that she did not bring us bread. She was very friendly and talkative to the other guests that were not our race. The $80 tab was within the price we expected to pay. 2 of the 3 of us enjoyed our quality of food, 1 did not. Her service was extremely uncomfortable. She worked the bar area on 10/15 around 5ish pm. I will not be returning to this bar and grill because I would rather spend my money where I feel welcomed. This was the Southport location yesterday. We left there and went to the Pacers preseason game and although our tab was probably the same and the food was horrible.....the service was great!

Ordered $56.00 worth of food on DD (before fees,tip,taxes) & something was wrong with EVERY entree we ordered. The potato soup is either thin as water and bland OR as thick as pudding and super salty. The ranch we ordered (family size for $6.00) was not Ocharleys ranch because It tasted like complete A$$. USUALLY they have some of the best ranch around and we order an obscene amount for all the chicken tenders we buy. Lastly, my wife took a chance and ordered a “Bowl” and what showed up was absolutely ridiculous…..and to think it was 18.00 blows my mind……With all the inconsistency and outrageous price/portion adjustments, this place won’t last long. Do NOT take your in-laws here. This restaurant looks like it is about to close. There were messy tables, and many people were waiting to be seated without a hostess showing up to seat them for a long time. Fingerprints were everywhere. The hostess station was beat up and messy. I know because I was seated and had to look at it and the long line of customers that no one was seating. We showed up before the lunch rush, so we were seated right away, but the service was slow. It is pretty obvious they are understaffed. Our waitress was actually pretty awesome, but she was terribly overworked. i cannot fault her for being slow with my drink, ketchup, etc... because I can see she was constantly busy. The food was OK. If i just picked up the food or had it delivered, I would have rated it higher. But the overall experience was disappointing.

Took us to the table waited and ordered our drinks and appetizer the chicken nachos waited about 20mins the appetizer came out the cheese wasn't even melted it was delicious though. Ordered our food took a hour to get our food when food came out wasn't hot seemed it been sitting there for a while my husband had chicken fingers and Honey mustard and the honey mustard was 2 different yellows so you can tell it was old told the manager that he goes well we make 100s a day of those. Talk to the manager he was argumeative about the food sitting there when he said he rushed the order. He did take the whole bill but today my husband is feeling sick from the honey mustard. This place has went down hill won't be back.

One f my healthcare clients from one of my jobs ordered herself a steak dinner and I went in to pick it up for her and paid with a gift card she had saved ... Personally I don't go out much but at this job I do have people that eat out often and sometimes they'll have me go run and pick up they're food for them at very popular well-known places that I know certain people have gone or still go to or will go to like this place here! She insisted that I get something and had brought my dinner from home ...but decided to get something also and it was delicious! I ordered a grilled chicken , rice pilaf cilantro-lime Bowl. It was new on the menu and I give it a 10 ... it's something similar that I iFixit home ... it had great flavor was fresh and filled my tummy . Enjoyed the experience.

Terrible location always a issue with the order. I've given this location more then a time or two. To get it right manger Ms. Luppie her name seriously. Takes 0 accountability for the failures of this location. I was told by her personally that there told to cut portions in half. From what the used to be and advertise. I received fish nuggets instead of filets. Basically a huge box of fries instead of a catfish dinner. Sides since cut in half. Are now less then the previous kids meal portions. (When you order to go or curbside.) Solution would've been easy to simply remake the order correctly. However that option wasn't offered. Stay away from this location or Ocharleys altogether. As I was told they where advised to cut portions in half.

Man, this place has gone downhill. I used to love coming here but recently the service has been hit or miss and the food has been bad. Got a to go order and 1 person that helped was nice and the other was rude. The nice one even seemed embarrassed by the rude lady. The chicken tenders wouldve been delicious if they weren't so fatty. Last time I went in and sat down the waitress was nice but after we received our food and still hadn't gotten rolls we asked and she apologized and said we have to ask or she cant bring them. Ordered curbside pickup. I arrived 3 minutes before pick time. After about five minutes, there two more cars waiting, one to my left and one to my right. The associate had walk past my car twice waiting on the car to my right. Afterwards, she had gone to the car to my left which was a red GM and not the grey Toyota in the description I gave of my vehicle when orders, she was on her way back inside looking frustrated that it wasn't their order. So, I nicely called out to her before she reach the door to get her attention. She turned as though surprised that the last car in the curbside pick area was there to pickup an order. My daughter and I sat in the bar area so we could talk without all the hustle and bustle, and small children, interrupting our conversation and it was just great. Mostly a nice place. Older waitress with shoulder length dyed blonde hair waiting on family of five today at about 5pm? Hard pass, nope. Our waitress was lovely. But that other waitress serving the nice family with 3 small kids, she has the personality of flatulence. Food was great, as always. Waitress not so much. She was nice when she did check on us, but spent way too much time at the table beside us that apparently was her friend. Two waitresses at one little table just looking at their phone sometimes three waitresses. Just back and forth to that one table with her friend and complained when we first got here to the friend that it was too busy , but she had plenty of time to spend it with her friend instead of checking on us. Didn’t even get asked if we wanted more bread. Service just wasn’t good. Hoping it was just this one time and they fix it.

Kyle was an awesome server got everything right and in a fast time. Wonderful o' charleys thanks for the evening I will never forget... Good food good times and wonderful service. And we got a table super fast on a Friday night with no reservation. I thought was going to take a while but they got us in and served us very fast. Good job tio the whole team in the front and back of the house. I appreciate everyone's friendliness. Nobody even once acted like they didn't want to be at work. You cantell this is a good place to work and I can tell you it's a great place to eat.

Ordered a chicken tenders family meal. Price was great, it was ready as soon as I arrived, even during a promotion time, and the person who brought out my order was friendly and bubbly. I was a little disappointed in the Mac and cheese, but overall a great dinner (and lunch the next day)! Also came with butter and rolls, which are not pictured.

I do not go often but when I do the entire menu is different. And the selection seems to now be more kid or bar food. . Will not go back. I went with 4 others. Their food and experience was ok. My good tasted funny and I sent it back. Waitress told me no one else had complained about the porkchops. The managers had even eaten the porkchops earlier. The porkchops were delivered on Friday. There was nothing wrong with the porkchops. She said all this in a loud voice . There were several people at other tables. I'm in my seventies. I simply stated the porkchops tasted funny. I felt humiliated. I did not order anything else. The item was taken off the bill. Will not go back.

We were a party of 7.. bit of a wait to be sat. Finally got sat. We finally got everyone to the table and ordered. I think the waitress was doing the best she could.. but we ended up waiting over 1 1/2 hours for our food.. meanwhile all of these to go orders were just sitting on tables getting cold.. I don't know the policy , if to go. Orders get priority over customers that are actually in the restaurant. I understand its a difficult time for everyone. But I think there needs to be a compromise made.. thanks for your time.

There were 8 empty tables at least that were empty around us and they set 2 women next to us that smelled like pot the whole time we were there. Would have been nice if they sat them 2 tables over. Otherwise food was good as always and the server was awesome!

Ive been going to this O'Charlie's for years and supported them through many struggles during C19. Had a $19 salmon meal tonight and my baked potato was warm (at best) and was hard as a rock. I told waitress that I'd like a hot one, she brought out another like I just tried to eat. warm at best. I know spuds and both of these were reheated probably from last night. The broccoli was crunchy. I just had oral surgery last week and need softish food. The salmon was excellent, but at $19 for a meal... I got salmon.

They were FAR from busy, but we waited 40 minutes, after ordering, for the food to arrive. My husband and I ordered 2 different steaks and they were SOOOOO overly salty that neither of us ate. My sweet tea was so sweet, (assumingly to balance out the salt in the food), that it made me sick. Our server was great. Only highlight was that our kids were very happy with their food.

Service was great. Food was good with generous portions. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Don't understand why lemons with water is an issue. I'm not seeing this as an issue at any other restaurant but they claim the reason they're not doing it has to do with COVID-19. Other than that, no complaints. FYI, Friday night service is going to be a little bit slow because they're still dealing with a ton of online orders, but I didn't think it was that bad.

Food was great service absolutely was horrible. We arrived here was only 4 tables had people . Ordered our meals basic fried foods nothing special. Took 2 hrs. to get chicken tenders. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks before I walked to the bar to get them myself... Don't waste your time coming here.... On top of it all the waitress was literally acting like she was dying breathing crazy like a panic attack. In short enjoy a great meal somewhere else.

Always a good meal. Tried the new chicken tender nachos. Will definitely order them again.

So incredibly and painfully slow. More than enough time to write this review. 45 minutes in my soup never showed up so just going to give up on that, I'd hate to complicate things and extend the time plus server was absent that entire time. After an hour had to ask what's going on and was told my food is coming they just checked. 5 minutes later still no food. Restaurant has barely anybody in it so that isn't it either.

Had to send my food back not once but twice and was still not correct and it was the manager I dealt with from the very first complaint. So not even the manager can get it correct, if your leader isn't leading the team correctly why would the team follow. Server was great though, nice very helpful and it's not her fault. LUPE , I don't think you should be a manager if you cannot correctly handle a situation and fix it!

With how short staffed this restaurant is, their employees are still extremely friendly and kind. They have a very dedicated staff, yes the wait is longer, but worth it! Southport O Charley's definitely has the best staff and you guys are doing an excellent job! Very much appreciated

Nachos were cold, chicken salad was good but we will not go back. Very hardworking waitresses but very short handed, long wait to be seated, phone ringing 10 minutes with no one around to answer. They should close their doors & clean the entire interior. Window wooden shudders & foot rests at bar were covered in thick dust. DEFINITELY needs a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. Sign of the times....

Place was very nice. Waitress was amazing. Making sure everything was okay with my brother and I. Too bad you are closing all O'Charley's. Severe loss to a lot of customers.

Came here for a late lunch and sat in the bar. My husband had the grilled chicken salad and throughly enjoyed it. I tried the chicken and rice was salsa and it was also very good. The service was excellent.

I truly enjoyed my dinning experience. The waitress was very informative about the menu. She was making sure that our glasses was never empty and she was always checking to see if we needed anything. We called all over looking for a family meal all night and we finally found Here!!!! They were open pretty late and took care of us with a ribs and tenders family meal! Post Coronavirus dining is an interesting experience. Tables are spaced out, servers are masked up! Thank you O'charley's! Their rolls are delicious & they melt in your mouth (seriously, you don't heve to chew them!) My cheeseburger was med-well (perfect) juicy and, the remembered to grill the onions. Oh, the loaded potato soup, GET the loaded potato soup!

Eating here today was better than it has been for the last few times we were there. Server was very attentive and nice , unlike last time we were there.

Did not receive all our food we paid 80 bucks for. I tried calling the store, was listening to their recording for 20 mins. Omar sucked. Didnt get refils until the food came out, mac and cheese was cold. As i was counting my cash to pay the bill he stood over me and I accidentally tipped $17 because I was rushing to pay him so he can leave our table. When he was waiting for the money for the bill was the most attentive he had been through the whole time.

Third order i had delivered in a row that isn't correct...2nd in a row that the bread was a rock. Used to be a good place to order from.... in store service (waiters and waitress) is good. Carry out service is horrible... Don't waste your carryout/ delivery money here. They get 2 stars instead of one because the servers are good.

Unfortunately, things have went downhill drastically. Food was cold and a very small amount, the manager not accommodating at all. Sad

Our server Kirk had a terrific additude and was nothing short of professional. My steak and tenders were great. The price of a kids meal is outstanding. My only 2 critiques being mac and cheese could be better. And could be a bit more generous with the cheese on the potato skins. Outside of that well done.

Probably one of my favorite locations! Our waitress (I'm bad with names) has and usually waits on us every time she does her job well.. We had a hiccup on our order (misunderstanding on order item) it was solved in less than 5 minutes and at near closing time... So yes fantastic experience here!

The food was very delicious. I really enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup asparagus with very thin but it was still very yummy. Their roles are sweet and some of my favorite rolls. The wait staff was very kind and proactive, and attentive.
