We booked here for our daughters birthday. We had high hopes as the reviews seemed to attest to a good place to eat. This was not our experience at all. The food was average, to say the least. Describing an expensive dish as having certain seafood in it, to not only not have all the said seafood but to be served a sloppy, rice dish with only a tiny amount of seafood was disgraceful. That was only one of the dishes but all, except for the pita bread and feta dish, were actually quite disgusting was really awful. Regarding the feta dish, a surgical masked waitress came and leant in over me and went to take the dish before we’d even finished eating it! She didn’t even bother to ask if we’d finished, like how dare she? The staff didn’t seem to even know which tables food was supposed to go to, they spent an inordinate amount of time lavishing attention over their Greek customers, it took us asking 3 staff and a very long wait at the end to finally get takeaway tubs for leftover food for our dog and to add insult to injury, when we went to the counter to get the bill, they had added a desert we didn’t even have because the staff didn’t even bother to come ask us if we’d like desert or coffee! The waitress at the counter didn’t even bother to apologise (I mean, what the hell?!) I joked it was like Fawlty Towers but honestly it was way, way, worse. If you’re looking for a nice Greek meal, with good service, then do not bother wasting your money on this expensive and awful place. I’d give it no stars but that choice is not available.

My sons and daughter in-law and I had lunch this last Sunday (21/08/22) for a birthday celebration. I must say your food was absolutely beautiful. Coming from a Greek family, that is obviously a very large compliment. However , sadly, your staff were rude, dismissive and not one even summoned a smile let alone any form of interaction. Our booking was for 2pm , unknowingly the kitchen was due to close shortly after. We had not quite been seated before being bluntly advised of this by your female waitress. Not a good first impression. All of us were a little taken aback by the rude manner. Our drinks sat at the bar and were only delivered post food serving and the several subsequent staff were as rude as the first. I must mention that one very large male staff member nearly knocked my 6’5 son off his chair with his backside without an apology. To say I was disgusted is an understatement. Thank goodness the food was very good. Sadly due to the staff and appalling service, we most likely will not return or refer friends and family. We dined at Nostimo Restaurant while visiting Brisbane just before New Year. We had a lovely day exploring along the banks of the Brisbane River and were looking to finish the day with a special dinner before leaving the following day. We were so pleased we chose to dine here. From the time came rang to book a table until we wandered back to our accomodation we loved this Restaurant. We chose a lovely red Greek wine and three courses of food, which we shared in banquet style. Being seated inside on a warm night was a great decision as we could see and hear the kitchen in operation. This was a treat as we love seeing the work the chefs and cooks do. The wait staff were exceptional, the food as good as any we ate during a recent holiday in Greece and the ambience of the restaurant, in true Taverna style, is a credit to the Greek Club and the restaurant staff. Every dish we ordered was perfectly prepared and presented. We are glad we chose this Restaurant and will definitely visit again next time we stay in Brisbane.

I don’t think the images I took do justice to the food because my goodness, the food is just absolutely stunning. Delicious. Worth every penny. And the service (despite them being understaff because it was a busy night) was just beyond satisfying - they were gold. Hospitality at its best. Friendly, warm, welcoming, efficient. I really can’t fault them, at all. If I could give the team, the food, the service more than 5 stars here, I would. 10 stars for each category. So get down there. Experience it for you, bring your family and your friends. Heck, bring your neighbours and colleagues. It’s the perfect place for celebrations and for a large group who wants to enjoy amazing food and company. Even a memorable date is recommended at Nostimo Restaurant Bar. Worth it. Once seated it took awhile for someone to take our order. Food was nice but seemed like they were short staffed as we ordered a drink which they forgot about and then when i asked for the drinks menu to order a hot drink after dinner they gave us the food menu and never came back to take my drink order. When we went to pay we had to wait 10 minutes and when my husband said he wants to pay to the senior male waiter who walked passed twice he put his finger up and said just wait a minute No apology for the wait or even asked how our dinner was and just took our money. They seemed to be busy with a function out the front and not enough coverage to the public customers. Our waitress was nice but seemed a little stressed. Nice food but lacked a good standard of customer service.

We didn't have any kids there but there were plenty of others and they looked like they were having a wonderful time.

We had a disappointing experience here which was surprising considering the good reviews. There were plenty of waiters for a half empty restaurant but they weren't on the ball as it was hard to even place a drink order and when we did we had to wait a while and watch our drink go out to the wrong table before eventually making it to us. The waiter we had also couldn't answer a basic question of whether it was better to share dishes - perhaps he was new. We had asked to sit outside but were told this wasn't possible yet those tables remained empty all night. The saving grace was the excellent lamb and mains but the baklava was dry and bland. At the end of the night we asked our main waitress to take a family photo of us, she said yes, and then completely left us hanging.

I'm still in the restaurant and just so eager to leave my review. Abbssolluuutteellyyyy incredible restaurant, being Greek myself, I can honestly say I can't remember having such a wonderful meal like this. Reminds so much of mums home cooking. Authentic, reasonable in price, perfect portion size. I wish there was a Nostimo restaurant in Sydney . I highly recommend this place. What a delight. Great team work, lots of friendly staff, looks like good communication in the background too. Best Greek food I have ever had and I have travelled Greece extensively ! In fact cant ever remember eating better food - no matter what the theme. I was part of a group booking for 26 people on the balcony overlooking the city night lights - WOW !. Everyone in group gave same feedback - every person raving about what a great night they had. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic - relaxed but somehow at the same time it generated energy. Our waitress Sara did an absolutely amazing job - her attentive service was first class - thanks Sara ! My one random feedback is that the floor in the interior dining room is INCREDIBLY slippery and I almost slipped in my heels a few times. I dine here often but this was the first time I brought along new customers to Nostimo. Everything was brilliant as usual and my friends just as impressed as I am on each visit. Front of house is always just so good...attentive and nothing is ever too much trouble. Nikolais is always keen to share his wine knowledge. All staff wonderful and the FOOD!!...Incredible as always..thank you chefs! Can't wait for the next visit. This place holds a very special place for us as it was founded by my husbands family. Fabulous outlook sitting in the verandah enjoying the view over the park. There is street parking but it is luck of the draw. Enjoyed cocktails then moved to dining area for dinner. Food was delicious, full of flavour. We over ordered but we just wanted to try everything! Had the slow cooked lamb, which I highly recommend, Greek Salad was fresh and the eggplant was tasty. Service was lacking, unfortunately. They were definitely short staffed and we did not have a waiter servicing our table and had to keep grabbing someone as they rushed past. Was heading through brisbane, was craving Greek food and this place came up on Google. We got the lamb and chicken lunch special. I have to say it was some of the best food I've had in a very looooong time. The chicken and lamb were cooked perfectly! The Greek salad was delicious, tomatoes that actually had flavour! And they actually give you a decent serve of tzatziki, not just a little speck on the side. But the chips, omg when was the last time you actually had crisp chips? This was our first time and for some reason I expected it to be less casual (I expected fancier dining experience) but it was more casual than I expected. I’ve been twice now. First for lunch with 7 people and ordered an array of food including dips, vegetables, the smaller sized lamb shoulder and some seafood dishes. There was a bottle of wine (and a few single glasses) some soft drinks and dessert (just 2 we all shared). I felt the final price was very good value on a per head basis as there was a lot we shared. My second time there didn’t seem as good value for money even though I ordered a smaller selection of the same dishes. For example the dips seem expensive in comparison to other dishes.

Great food. Service was great at the start, but then..had to try and catch the eye of 5 servers, during the course of the meal -which was nigh impossible. We used the private dining room available to patrons of Nostimo and found it to be a good experience. Best value in Brisbane this one…to put this in context, we had our staff Xmas party here so our spend on drinks was higher than normal which pushes up our cost per head vs what this would normally cost you. When this restaurant first opened several years back, I was extremely disappointed in the food, quality and experience. It replaced an older style Greek restaurant that had great food and was always full of life. I went back for the first time in a couple of years yesterday, and it was simply immaculate. A $40 lunch banquet that was simply exceptional, as were the beautiful staff that went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

Food and service was excellent but it was extremely noisy (inside). Everywhere was hard surfaces, with no soft furnishings and materials anywhere to help deaden the sound of other diners and the open kitchen. For this reason, we will not go back there unless perhaps if we could dine outside on the deck.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with family at Nostimo on Saturday night. I have wanted to go there for a long time. The food was amazing the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely return.

our group booking of 24 people was fantastic at Nostimo, the food was perfect, everything greek food should be, good quality produce prepared fresh and served hot. The service was amazing and we all left feeling satisfied. thank you to all the staff who were on top of our drinks and made sure we were all looked after.

Delicious dining experience. Highly recommend the Roka salad, haloumi chips, salt & pepper calamari and beef brisket for lunch, or the lamb shoulder and roast potatoes for dinner.

Location very nice with good outdoor area. I ordered the chicken with asparagus which was delicious. One of the people I was with got food poisoning after eating the moussaka. Waiter got our order wrong (which is fine) but blamed us for the mistake, which it wasn't. After that didn't see him again for ordering drinks and dessert.

Great atmosphere, I like how the staff assisted and served the food. Happy to visit here and have lunch yesterday with couple of friends. I got to try the pork belly and it's so delicious. Highly recommended.

Amazing, authentic food. Great menu which makes it very difficult to choose. The food is sooooo good but what was really refreshing was the lovely, attentive staff. Highly recommend trying this place.

What a fantastic place to dine. Service was prompt and very professional. We had the Lamb shoulder, Octopus, Spanakopita and Haloumi. Lamb was fall apart with a very tasty crust, the Octopus was the perfect texture, and the entrees were excellent. Highly recommended for high quality food and service! Thanks Nostimo!

Nostimo has such a lively ambience. The friendly staff make you feel welcome. The food is to die for. It is so tasty and plentiful. I like how there is space around me and i dont feel squashed. Such a great restaurant! Authentic, delicious Greek dishes in a beautiful environment. Staff were really friendly and the food just exceeded expectations. The best food I've had in year's! And finally the live Greek music was the icing on the cake....five stars without a doubt!

Had a nice lunch of shared plates but were disappointed there were no zucchini fritters. Zucchini are everywhere right now. Had to eat inside due to a christening party and atmosphere not as good as verandah

The service was great! Food was good but I had better Greek in Brisbane. Recommend to try though! We loved the Zucchini Fritters and the Custard in pastry dessert. Must try! The only thing our table was so small that it couldn’t fit all the food and the tables near us were so close that we could hear everyone’s conversations so clear…

Food and wine was delicious. Apollo banquet had generous servings. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Ambience was loud and boisterous even on a mid-week at 7pm. The view of the city was blocked by trees, but at a different table may have been better.

I went for lunch in late December 2022. I am a coeliac, I told the waiter and he assured me my meal would be gluten free. Sure enough, I got extremely sick not long after eating and it lingered for weeks. Tried to contact the restaurant but no response. Disappointing. Don’t go here if you have dietary requirements. Great selection of authentic Greek dishes, served up in an alfresco setting coupled with panoramic views of the city. The Souzoukakia as an entree and Plum Tsoureki for dessert were my picks. Make sure you top it off with a proper greek coffee like a Freddo Cappuccino or Freddo Espresso. Ask for Alex to serve you too!

Beautiful restaurant, delightful food and dessert menu and interactive staff with the entertainment of an open kitchen. The Semolina custard in filo pastry was the winner for us that day!

Let's begin with positive things. The atmosphere, live music and vibe. Actually, quality of foods are just ordinary level. Honestly, disappointed as the price is pretty high. So, the negatives are price and service. I don't know the name who she was but her service was poor enough to give 3 stars here.

We celebrated mum's surprise 75th birthday party. The Greek Club management and staff were wonderful and the banquet was amazing. The setting on the terrace was lovely and it was an event enjoyed by all. Thankyou Les and the team, Anna and Maria xx

Beautiful venue! Lovely staff and delicious food. The staff went above and beyond. I’d recommend specifically requesting an outside table as the balcony has gorgeous plants, architecture and fairy lights.

Such a brillaint and beautiful restaurant. Visited during Melbourne Cup and l was so impressed at how organised they were. They were super busy but still provided amazing service. Really enjoyed my lunch and the Melbourne Cup package was perfect.
