This place empowers everyone to be a student leader. This is unless you are part of the student leadership then you are basically a garbage student to them. I mean this place is not all bad as beyond paying for classes that offer no benefit to your future, like "student leadership," I really understood what the terms "spiritual abuse" and "spiritual nepotism." Those might not seem like real things but when you experience the people in charge compels you to engage in things you do not agree with by virtue of their position, this is seen so much in the student life office and the student leaders below them. The spiritual nepotism is the rampant practice where children of pastors their wives are defaulted into student leadership positions. These student leader positions lead to future staff positions at NCU along with the spouse. This really is no different in how most AoG churches operate in making your children or siblings to be the youth or children pastor. NCU is basically a pot of fermented spiritual garbage. As such, you are better off going to a secular college and working for organizations that helps the community and people to be a real difference in the world.

I transferred to NCU in 2007 and graduated in 2010. I chose this university because it had everything I was looking for... downtown location (lots of wonderful people and places), positive environment (awesome chapel services, great place to grow spiritually), small class sizes (really got to know my peers and professors), good practical accredited academics for my chosen field (I was licensed before I graduated!). I recommend NCU to anyone who is looking for the above criteria when pursuing higher education. This is a great place to live and learn. Worth noting: I paid for college on my own. NCU provided enough flexibility in course offerings that I was able to work 20-30 hours a week on top of studying. They also provided good scholarships and the payment options I needed to complete my degree. Even with the ever-rising cost of higher education, I was able to graduate with less college debt than the national average.

I am so glad and grateful that I was able to attend NCU for my Business Administration degree. I received the knowledge and experience that is needed to be successful in my field. Upon graduation, I had two different job offers and was able to choose a career that best fit my strengths and desires. The one thing that stood out to me when choosing NCU, was the community. I was very shy in high school and when going off to college was afraid of making friends. The first week I was there, all of my fears went away, as I was engulfed in such a great, intentional community of believers, who became lifelong friends and family. If you are looking for somewhere to challenge your faith and your academic knowledge, NCU is the place. Check it out!

You know, I don't consider myself a spiritual person, but I am not against god or anything. This place offers a degree that I would like to obtain, so why is it a standard that I "have" to make sure Christ is in my life? Why can't people just go to the school, get a degree, and be done with it? School already takes up 90% of my time. I need time to regain sanity. Be wary non-church goers. This place NEEDS you to be fully committed to Christ. I bet when you mess up in class they blame it on you not being faithful enough to the lord. Good luck everyone that goes here. I wish you peace, happiness and strength. You'll need it....

Heard a good report about some of your students today. At the Jail Bible study, a woman shared how she was at the point of forgetting about God - things had gone so wrong in her life and she was walking by NCU and was crying out to God to show Himself to her if He was real. About that time, two young men from the school walked up to her and asked if there was anything they could pray for her about. They had seen her downcast face and compassionately reached out to her. It made a huge difference in her life and was the "straw that broke the" doubting heart. Way to be a presence of Grace in the heart of the city!

Having graduated from NCU with a degree in Media Communication, I can confidently say that attending college there was one of the best decisions I have made! I would highly recommend the university to anyone looking for a quality Christian education in a tight community atmosphere. The downtown location provided me with numerous opportunities. My professors genuinely cared about how I was doing in their classes, and they worked to help me with my professional goals. I met some of my best friends at NCU who continue to encourage me in my faith and support me with my goals for life.

One of the worst Universities to attend and plan your future. Few years back, I decided to enroll in a graduate program at NCU; not a good decision. the instructional platform was not well delivered, learning applications were outdated, and faculty (instructors) were not highly knowledgeable about the course materials/content. I ended up wasting an enormous amount of tuition money. I am now at a better university. My recommendation, really look/research at other Universities/options before deciding to enroll at NCU. Good luck!

took a tour of this college campus and it was amazing we had a luncheon and got to meet the faculty and staff the lunch was awesome really good food really nice people this is definitely the place that I went all of my children to go to college my daughter does not want to visit any other place to go to school she has her mind set on graduating from North Central University we are so happy for her and happy that we know she will be somewhere where Jesus comes first Amen to that

Great school to work on personal development. However, their general education classes are abismal and I would say there have been about 8-10 classes that hold substantial value. Their systems are very bad. I've been here three years and every semester I need to look over all my bills and classes and spend hours meeting with people in different offices to fix my billing and class rosters. Make sure you look over your bills because they likely are not right.

North Central is one of the places you don't realize what you have until you leave. My four years at North Central I was stretched academically and spiritually. It set a foundation for my life. I didn't realize how life changing it was when I was there - but now three years later, I still owe so much of who I am to my time there. And, the location of the campus is the best! Love downtown Minneapolis, so much to explore!

  • Brittany Kuss

North Central is not only made me less religious. It showed me that trueness behind these people who call themselves Christians. The cost is ridiculous for the amount of things this school is lacking overall. 10/10 would not recommend. Also, if you are someone reading these comments truly know that unless you are a bible breathing, Jesus 24/7 loving person you won’t fit it.

  • Carly Shalter

Never been there but I've spoken to a graduate and she just got her pastoral license. She told me how the staff is amazing and overall a welcoming place. I could feel it reading these reviews and listening to her speak. For sure where I want to go and I don't want to go anywhere else. Keep yall updated on if I go or not!!

Attending NCU was a life-changing experience! The professors pour into their students, the spiritual environment is unmatched, and the location is perfect for anyone wanting the most out of their college career. It's also one of the most affordable private colleges! I would recommend 100%.

  • Scott Olslund

NCU is probably one of the most tight knit Christian colleges that there is. The feeling of community is amazing and the teachers and students passion for Christ is awesome. If you're looking for a Christian college in the Twin Cities area I couldn't recommend it more.

  • David and Taylor

Made lifelong friends and gained invaluable knowledge and experience. Some complain about the price, but those who do are not aware that NCU is extremely low priced given its downtown location and academic offerings. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

  • wonderboy8

North Central has a welcoming atmosphere with wonderful professors. Its price is a bit much in my opinion. However if you want to learn more about religion, Christianity, and have an atmosphere to get closer to God in new ways its worth it.

Hi from Ireland - I move to Minnesota in 1996 This NCU has changed my life when I graduated in 2001 - we visited to see beautiful worship in chapel where Steve preached great - deaf interpreter is good to me God bless you peace

  • Laura Risdall {minnesotateachermom}

I earned a degree in Elementary Education at NCU. I loved the campus experience, classes, community, the chapel. It was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone who wants a private Christian college experience.

  • Steven Shega

I graduated with a degree from NCU. I would not recommend this University. It is prohibitively expensive, especially when you consider how much you'll be making going into ministry.

  • Tera Amesbury

Nice inner city campus, safe, well thought out and family orientated. They do a great job incorporating independence, goals, character, God, and career into their students.

  • Kazden Risk

Went to school here for years! The professors care about you and the demand for excellence out of every student is reflected in the student led events and services.

  • Brent Enget

This is a great college! Glad our kids have had the privilege of attending here. They care for each student and work hard to give them the best education possible!

  • Zeus Vital

Loved it! Attended and graduated in 2013. Place was incredible for a student who is interested in a christian environment. I would recommend it 100%.
