Friendly attentive service, easy to order… I really enjoyed the fried fish over colorful rice with a little veggies and curious seasoning large plate. The dining room was culturally engaging and calm at the weekday hour I went. Noor Somali is a family restaurant here for 10 years, dine-in or takeout, not fast food
I want to start off by saying that this WAS my favorite place in SLC. But with much careful consideration over the last few visits, and with a heavy heart I am re-reviewing this place. This place was my go to spot for years. We used to dine
We went for dinner. Which is when you might not get all the dishes as a lot of them are over by noon (they are so good that the stock gets over quick - we learnt it the hard way). Order Lamb, Whole Fish and Fried Fish Fillet with rice. The
Such an amazing hole in the wall place! Lady up front was very patient & kind to help us understand their menu. We got lamb(#11) with rice (#3), chicken (#14) with pasta(#4) & a sambusa. I would recommend the lamb & rice hands down with a
This is the place where Somalis actually go to eat Somali food. My family and I ordered 3 sambusas, lamb with rice, and chicken drumsticks with pasta. We were thrilled with the everything! The sambusas and tender lamb really stood out as
First off the food is absolutely amazing! We had the rice and noodle mix with beef skoor. Flavor was amazing and the size was perfect. We were able to share one order between the two of us. The hospitality, we felt welcomed.
Best Somali restaurant in Utah, hands down. Food was hot & fresh, great customer service and atmosphere. Got the rice with lamb shank & beef steak and KK(chapati with chicken & sauces). 11 out of 10. Out of this world. More
Amazing food, especially the lamb and the suqaar. Only caveat is it takes an hour to make so order ahead and then show up, don't wait until you arrive to order unless you aren't starving and aren't in a hurry. More
I used to love the breaded chicken with rice but it does not taste good anymore. The chicken taste like fish and its old and I paid $16 for this. Also it was microwaved chicken. Heard the microwave beep. More
Food was delicious and the lady behind the counter was polite and helpful. My kids both enjoyed the spicy flavors and the lamb was fresh -didn't have that typical lamb flavor you get from frozen. More
Lovely sit down restaurant. The rice and lamb shank is AMAZING. The best I’ve ever had, the rice is so light and flavourful. The lamb shank was incredibly juicy with a LOT of meat. More
I tried the fufu, spaghetti, and chicken skoor for the first time!!! It was really flavorful with all the right spices!!! Come here to try some great food from the Horn of Africa!! More
Excellent food, it was very delicious! You definitely have to try the Chicken Drumsticks, they were so tender. Staff was courteous, kind, and food came out quickly! More
When I initially tried coming it was closed with seemingly no information. After trying again I now realize they were closed temporarily in observance of Ramadan.
Food has great flavor, Im really happy with it. Music was to loud but other than that. Nice little restaurant. I recommend the food I did takeout. More
Great food. The Sambosa is probably the best I’ve ever had in America. I wish the lamb shank was a little more spicy, still very tasty.
Salam alaykum! Staff is very friendly and hospitable. Unbeknownst to us, we came on a night where the restaurant was getting ready for
