Quite a surprise to see what it is morphing into, still a work in progress but very impressive. Conservation / wetland part is no entry and enormous. Traditional parkland part is substantial and has some good infrastructure. Really enjoyed the walking pathway which let's you loop back to where you started via the Maribrynong River Trail and take in the full wetland views. The nearby river is a scenic bonus.

A nice spot for a catchup. Even though it was a sunny Friday afternoon in the middle of lockdown, it was very quiet. There are a few seats scattered around. The grass was lush and green. Parking was no trouble but might be an issue if it's busy. The traffic noise is in the background but not annoying.

I play ball and do yoga there. Its fun especially when I play Ziggy cuz I drive the line then hit the lay up and pop goes the weezle. Then I'll pop on out for a 3 pointer all casual like. And Ziggy's all like I'll get you for this and shakes his fist at me. But it's too late ive already won the game.

Great park to stroll around through to wetlands to Footscray park Disgusting thing is though as we are in lockdown and considering it's a warm 26 degrees day so many people around being feral laying around with no masks, people having picnics, mothers club meetings and so on

Nice walking track with good bird viewing - the cygnets at the moment are adorable when you catch a glimpse. Multiple sports fields for recreation. Just a really nice area that makes you feel as though you aren't in an inner city suburb.

Places like this are great. Old degraded land being brought back to some of its former glory. Wetlands, plenty of new plantings, and a place to sit and enjoy. An oasis in the making. A bit more established, and I'll happily give 5 stars.

Wonderful wetland renewal tucked away close to the city. Over the years many species of birds have begun to thrive and can be seen from the walking tracks. On site BBQ and recreational facilities.

Lovely place to catch up with friends. Impressive trees and water birds just string the corner.

There are multiple picnic tables and two undercover BBQs.

Awesome relaxing place with a lot of natural features such as birds. Have a shaded area with bbq facilities. Very close to Footscray town.

This must be the definition of a hidden gem, massive green and safe area for kids to run around and very rarely anyone there

A nice area, although a little loud with trains passing through. Some good areas to sit and a short trail to walk through.

Football field and a small basketball place as well. Public BBQ place. We come here because the park is nice and quiet.

Newell's is an excellect park. Hard to believe its in metro melbourne once youre down at the water line.

Good place, quiet and clean, perfect spot for some getaway time. Check it out!
