"My husband and I had a short vacation and last day we decided to visit some bars and take it easy"
"RUDE BARTENDER doing shots behind the bar at 4 pm popped in for a drink but wanted to use the restroom first and she started yelling that I have to order and PAY first so I said nah don't worry about it and left what a joke I've never seen that at a dive bar "
"If your looking for a fun lil NYC bar, reasonable drink prices, fun juke box music, and one of the best bartenders with the NYC attitude, goes by the name Phil, this is the spot! She makes the bar absolutely and her counter part Vinny"
"Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with a friend and had an amazing time"
Was in recently as we were doing the lower manhattan tours.... popped in twice that day, and had such a laugh on both occasions, girl serving was as funny but pure new york as it gets. Even gave me a free shot as I'd bought a fellow Irish man and and his mate a drink.... a proper new york bar.... see yous again next year. More
My husband and I had a short vacation and last day we decided to visit some bars and take it easy. Well... this was the perfect one! The staff was great, funny, adorable, and made us feel like family! For sure, this is going to be our must visit every time we come to NYC. More

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with a friend and had an amazing time. Bar is huge and they had a few different games showing when i went. Jukebox is awesome and has old classics as well as new tunes. Bartender was so kind and attentive…
Great Staff from the beautiful barmaids to security, the DJ when they have Karoke and the Owner, All are friendly and are welcoming like the atmosphere within.. A beautiful mixture of foreigners and locals, tourists and regulars, young and
This place is an absolute dump. Smelled like dirty mop water and ammonia when we showed up. I ordered drinks while we waited for other friends to arrive. When our sober friend ordered a water the bartender said it would be $6 and went on a
$16 for a well whiskey shot and a bottle of Coors. No thank you. It's not a dive bar with those prices, just an excuse to let the place look terrible. A new luxury building opened up across the street and they're clearly taking advantage.
After walking around the 911 memorial I was feeling down and needed a good dive bar to liven things up a bit. Luckily I found the Nassau Bar close by. I got there on Wednesday around 4pm. The place looks kinda small from the outside but
My boyfriend was with his friends a few weeks back and the bouncer put his hands on him, so my boyfriend had to take appropriate measures. I wanted to believe it for myself how he described it so me and a few of my girlfriends came in a
This has to be the strangest bar in NYC. Me and my girlfriends used to come here last year. For a while, it was kinda fun in its own way. But when we came back to school last Fall we realized this isn’t a healthy environment. The owner
I’m a professor of women’s studies at a nearby university. My husband was in the city with our car and we decided to drop in here after a long day’s work before going home. We thought this was going to be a quaint spot. What I observed
I came here last night looking for a dive bar to feel comfortable and chill in. This is my first time in New York, and every single person I met at this bar including the owner are simply wonderful. The bartenders were just switching
I visited this place for a drink on a Friday afternoon. Place was like a church. I ask for the happy he menu, but not much of a choice, I asked for a Long Island ice tea and the waitress told me the price $25 , so I went with a wine.
Nice casual working class bar. Inexpensive drinks compared to the other bars around. Nice staff and friendly. Clean for an older place and nice customers as well. Very unpretentious a great escape from a lot of the nyc places. More
I worked here in 1988 when it was Keno's! We wore bras and gstrings! I made more money here, than any place in my life! I was so scared my first night! I was 22. This is the BEST bar in NYC! Whatever happened to Keno & Morty? More
I like this bar, the owner is always friendly and know lots of the regulars. When you are there you will notice. Good beers at a good price. Sometimes you may wish there were more bar stools but it still works out pretty well
Found my new favorite NYC bar and can’t wait to stop by again. I was staying at The Beekman March 28-31 and was sort of disappointed to learn The Beekman had no NA beers at the bar or restaurant, only mock tails.
Stumbled upon this place the other day while we were walking in the city. Very nice-looking dive bar. The staff and patrons were super nice. Had a taco salad thing, and it was amazing. Will be back
If you've ever been to a cocktail bar you will know this is not it Edit: Maybe I read your own description wrong "old-school watering hole with bikini-clad bartenders doling out cocktails" …
Best dive bar in downtown Manhattan. Best bartenders and management in the area. They actually care about the people they serve. Came here for a going away party and made it the best send away
This is a quiet dive bar which I visited at the end of a Saturday night. I got a Guinness and sat down at the bar to hang out on my own. It's a fine place in general. More
As far as dive bar goes this place is great! Decent selection of beers, lots of booze, and they take credit cards. Nice bartenders and usually good music on the jukebox.
Haven't been there in years, since the 80's. But my memories are great!! 2 bartenders I miss - Anca & Stephanie .... Say hello to them for me.
Such a great bar. Great air conditioning. Reasonably priced. Great stop before the Brooklyn bridge for nice cold beers
Great for a dive bar experience. Happy hour specials are awesome $5/cocktail. Bartenders like to shout and have a lot of fun.
Great Spot, the bartenders the hours and the Owner. Super cool people, was a great find!!
