I was here 9/23/2022. I had a seizure (has not happened before) due to how packed together the crowd was to the point I could not breathe or move. My friend had to scream and fight with the staff here to get me help because they thought I was under the influence and treating it as a “you guys figure this out” situation. I have never been to an event with such uncaring staff regardless of someone being under the influence or not. Might I mention I was completely sober. I also have never been to show where we are charged for water and while I’m finally coming out of the seizure she was fighting to get me water. I want to say the concert I saw was INCREDIBLE and I give that part 5 stars but this venue itself needs training. The event staff needs better training in situations like this whether someone is sober or not. We were lucky concert goers helped her get me safely to the ground when the staff wouldn’t. Please please train the staff better on situations like this because it could have been a much worse scenario. There is no reason someone should plead for help to get a medic or some form of staff to assist someone let alone a bottle of water that you charge $5 for.

I've been to The Municipal Auditorium several times before but this time it was just perfect! Although it was held at Municipal Auditorium, (who also did the baggage security and restrooms) EVERYTHING else was done by The Belonging Co. And I think that was the missing ingredient to perfection! The Belonging Co volunteers and staff anticipated every need and every minute detail. The level of professionalism that would be nothing short of Oscar worthy. The check-in process, TBCO Security, Guest Services, music, lighting, Kids team, Youth team, Mother's station, Lounge area etc etc... Everything was just perfect!!!! Hope Darst, Kari Jobe and Natalie Grant brought a slice of Heaven down to the Municipal Auditorium this weekend along with the worship team from The Belonging Co. If you've ever been to a Christian concert, imagine getting down with The Best of THE BEST cos that's what TBCO Conference 2022 was. And the greatest part of it all - various churches from all denominations gathered together for one purpose; to glorify Christ in unison. Thank you Pastors Alex & Henry for your obedience. Nashville TN will be the next era of revival post covid.

Ok... so the Auditorium is getting old, but I grew up going to events there and I still love to see concerts there because it is a smaller venue and you're closer to the stage so it's just more personal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bathroom and concession lines are long during breaks, so just be prepared to wait, but they were well kept. The seat cushions are lacking "cushion" simply due to many years of use, but in pretty good condition otherwise. I like them because they're a nice size (width), unlike other venues that cram you in narrow seats just to get more people in attendance. The one thing that bothers me the is that there are NO HANDRAILS in the mezzanine seating area (going up/down steps to get to your seat), and I'm not sure about the upper level. Just be careful! Otherwise, I enjoy seeing shows here. It has a lot of history, and I have a lot of memories made here, and I'll go again I'm sure.

I wonder if this venue ever hosted an event before. They really need to adjust the process for getting people inside the venue. I should not be standing in line outside waiting to get in while the opener is playing. Either start getting people in earlier or adjust your intake process so that I'm not missing part of a show that I paid good money to see. Beers are expensive (like all venues anymore) and the sound of the bands was not optimal. I've heard better sounding shows at many other venues. The headliner was just a wall of sound. It seemed like every input was just turned up to 11. And then to make up for the lack of dynamic range, the overall volume was cranked to 11 as well. Sounded like garbage. So disappointing. Things like this will add weight to my decision to see a band at this venue again.

  • Amber Marshall

I like the seating but parking and the tv screens are not the best. I expect parking to be crazy but the side screen could be bigger or up higher for those on the upper levels. Older facility as well. Security check as soon as you enter tbe door so it can get crowded quickly. Will call was on the left with ticket pick up but the lady at the window said they don't offer will call. We were trying to leave a ticket at the window for someone that would come later and get the seats so we could all sit together. We ended up having to meet them back downstairs to give them the ticket. So don't try to get tickets for someone that will be late. Too much trouble.

Nashville Municipal Auditorium was an all around great venue to catch a show!! Ty and the security team were an awesome crew handling the G/A pit area. A blond employee before the show was leagues above any staff I’ve previously seen elsewhere at advocating for the fans queueing before doors opened for the show. I drove in 5 hours to see the closest leg of a passing tour, but I would drive out of my way to visit this venue again over my more local theaters

So we are from out town and bought tickets to a show in Nashville. From the outside it looks nice, however the line wrapped clear around the building which they only have one entrance for this place. Or at least they only utilized one entrance. There were no staff member available to help locate seats or even signs that show you where to go. Seats are comfortable unlike some places. And the view we had was awesome.

KATT WILLIAMS WWIII TOUR 2022 The show was abruptly cut short when a man walked on stage and said something to Katt Williams who, without hesitation, dropped the mic and walked off the stage. Katt was literally in the middle of a sentence. The lights came on in less than a minute and an announcer came over the speakers telling everyone to exit the building in an orderly fashion. Local cops even had the bathrooms blocked off telling everyone to exit the building.

  • Ty Roberts

It is an outdated venue, I remember coming here as a child in the 80s, and it attracts events that for lack of a better term are not good enough for Bridgestone Arena. Ergo, the audiences can be rough around the edges. Lack of entry points can complicate getting in and create a long line outside wrapping around the building. The staff in my two recent experiences have been decent, and the concession food isn't bad. the lighting and sound aren't impressive.

  • Brian Anderson

Municipal Auditorium is an older facility, but the seats are comfortable, and most of the sight lines are good. The auditorium could use a refit on the restrooms. However, the inside of the facility was clean. The acoustics are very good. Outside, between the auditorium and the bus station is a disgrace with all the trash.

I went to see Jill Scott in concert while she definitely did not disappoint this stadium did. The seats were literally falling apart. A guest next to me seat broke. The seats are close together from the front and sides. If you are over 5'5" or over 140lbs you are going to be uncomfortable. My feet were stuck to the floor because the something sticky spilled and it was never cleaned up. It just needs some TLC and it could be great.

I’m here for a maneskin concert waited hours outside but these girls started writing numbers on people and we didn’t know and so when the doors opened they wouldn’t let us inside even though we’ve been here for hours waiting just like the rest of them. I was told to go to the back of the line or leave but that I wasn’t being let in even though I have been at the door.

Most disgusting venue I've been in. The upper floor areas were covered with years of sticky residue. It would literally lift my shoe off everytime I took a step. I witnessed one older gentlemen fall due to the conditions. Lawsuit waiting to happen honestly. The concession areas were filthy and you could tell the fryer vat oils haven't been changed in awhile. The bathrooms were a mess too.

  • Steven Gerber

I saw Chevelle and 3 Days Grace. Great concert! Typical overpriced drinks and food, but the venue was pretty easy to negotiate. The metal detectors at the entrance were a little slow, but it was more about the people not following the venue rules. Great experience!

Love this, now, smaller venue! Enjoyed the 1964 Bealtles Trubute band last night! We would definitely pay to see them again. Crazy how much Nashville has changed in the last couple decades, and that super large, packed concerts were here when I was a teenager!

Without a doubt, one of the worst venues I’ve been to for a show. Lack of entrances and food/drink stands. Incredibly outdated. I want to give them benefit of the doubt being that it’s a Sunday, but it doesn’t do the place justice for how poor it really is. There is no chance I would come back to this venue, which is sad, because they seem to get a lot of great performances.

  • Amanda Dickenson

Saw Starting Line, New Found Glory and All American Rejects. Awesome. Overall experience pretty awesome. Sound quality could of been a bit better but it's just the way that venue is. Gave it 4 because of that then changed my mind. 5 stars .

We bought great tickets and spent a little extra to be close. When we got to the show they had speakers blocking our view. We would stand up to be able to see and we’re put back on our seats by the staff… I think this venue owes us some type of refund. I like the venue and the band.. but you pay to SEE the show not hear it only…I can do that on my iPhone.

  • Adam Hess

Old, outdated and dangerous. Rest rooms were tiny, concession stands were pop ups in the middle of the walk ways. Floors are slippery and unsafe. We alone witnessed 3 people slip and fall due to the caked on layers of grease dating back to the 60s.

This is a smaller and older venue that I hadn't been to in years.. seats are very soft and comfortable, and a little wider than Bridgestone. The crowd size and parking were much more manageable than the larger venues.

Great place for concerts. The venue is small enough you feel more connected to the experience but large enough you don't feel crowded. Bathrooms were clean & nice. Didnt get to try concessions but they had several booths & stands setup for drinks & food. I will definitely be returning to this place again for future concerts.

  • frank ayers

I didn’t go for a concert or anything but a cheerleading competition. Easy to get in and out. Bathrooms were clean. The ticket stubs of all the bands and musicians that have played the municipal is very cool. Some very big names have played here. Doesn’t look like there would be a bad seat in the house for any event there.

Great venue...but you gotta be careful when walking down the stairs...people tend to spill drinks and the floor and be slippery...was gonna check out some merch tables in between sets...ended up slipping down some concrete stairs. Had to leave the show early...and unfortunately there was a no re-entry policy …

  • Molly Rector

We saw Lil Nas X and it was a great show. I dont know if this was the auditorium or Lil Nas X's decision, but there was way too much smoke. Also they left the lights on for the first 45 mins of the show which was reminiscent of middle school dances and not a great vibe. Otherwise it was a great experience!

Saw Katt Williams during anniversary trip...someone was in our seats so we just sat in a couple of the many empty seats.....OMG the seats...very uncomfortable. I assume this is an historic venue for shows but good grief! Plus side. Super close to Printers Alley, was able to walk there afterwards.

  • Trudy Register

We saw the Write Love On Her Arms concert. Not a bad seat in the house in my opinion. We were completely against the wall and could see the stage very well. I added photos so you can see for yourself. No one was behind us. I actually recommend sitting against the wall. It's your own little area.

  • Patrick

Paid money for good seats only to have people with general admission tickets stand in the aisle next to me. Staff at the venue did nothing to enforce seating. Next time I should pay significantly less and just choose wherever to stand or sit because it apparently doesn't matter.

  • Meka Williams

It was okay the stage set up was very generic for the money we paid to see star of internment. The venue did not match the talent. we didnt stay for the end. And I would like to add that I came from out of town to surprise my husband the event had no place to park. Do better !

Cool place to see live music. It's a little dated but I didn't see a bad seat in the whole place. The acoustics were great too. Good layout and easy to find our seats. Helpful staff and plenty of places to buy refreshments. Would love to see more concerts here. Thanks!

  • KEVIN JILES

Saw Rockzilla tour here on 08/31/22. The venue itself is pretty cool. I love the dome ceiling on the inside. There was some odor walking around the venue (not from people). Worst part is definitely the lack of restrooms. There was constantly a line for the restroom.

It had been a long time since I have been at an event at this venue. It was just as grand and nostalgic as I could remember in my younger years. The staff was all courteous and kept the building clean. Ryan Upchurch and Chase Matthews put on a great show.

  • Will Penn

Venue staff caused my fiancee and I to miss our meet and greet due to their rude and incorrect instructions/demands. Extremely strick on items not allowed, like a tooth pick. The concert was great, but due to the staffing I won't return to this venue.

  • Cornelius Johnson

Horrible experience when you go to concert and you don't disclose and emphasize strongly to the public about not smoking. Reminding before a concerts too especially in the nose bleed section. No one should have to put up with smoking inside a venue.

Saw Hardy & Lainey Wilson here during the Mockingbird tour and it was pretty great! The way they had the stage setup made the views good from a lot of angles. I did standing room so can’t comment on the seats but standing was easy. Good
