I want to change the narrative, there's nothing cheeky about Nando's its all leg, thigh and breast! You know what to expect from a Nandos and if not let me enlighten you. Chicken is not a meat to be cooked with just salt and pepper, some may dash a lemon or orange on it to really jazz it up... NO! Chicken is a meat that needs seasoning proper, away from home you wont get your full seasoning in a chicken unless you go to specialist establishments where the food comes with vibes. But at Nandos they marinade your chicken whilst cooking in a sauce to accompany how hot you have chosen to have it. My top tip is ask for it "Well done" the chicken gets that extra fluffy texture which holds the marinade much better than the slightly rubbery texture where the sauce slides off easily. So I had half a chicken, hot, well done, spicy rice and chips with a bottomless drink. Food came out just as asked for, not a long wait, I picked up our cutlery and additional sauces whilst waiting. Wild herb, Garlic, hot sauce and ketchup, mix those together on your plate for the ultimate dipping sauce! Chicken was well done as asked for, plate was left with nothing but bones, service was friendly, resturant clean, music I cant actually remember and that's unusual as I usually remember the norm which tends to be african inspired tracks that have you enjoying the food whilst dancing in your seat. If you need a good meal that has flavour and will fill you up then head to Nandos, chicken is not just chicken, treat it with the right amount of love and herbs and it's CHICKEN! Go check it out!

I only ever write reviews if I had a particular great or poor experience. Unfortunately to the rude staff at this nandos, it was a bad experience. -------------------------------------- Due to covid measures you have to scan QR code and order on website and put in card details to pay. If you want to use your nandos card to claim rewards/if you have nhs card for discount we were instructed to go to the till (only one person at the till at any one time) My friend who had nhs card went first and ordered. when she came back I got up to order and I could hear a couple of the staff members nattering between themselves questioning why she couldnt order via phone whilst seated at the table. When I got to the till the staff member said rudely "cant you order via your phone?"....I said no, I'm redeeming rewards.... Anyway overall staff quite rude for no reason, we were literally doing as we were instructed, loads of covid measures and social distancing in place (more than any other restaurant I've been to), food came quickly and was yum.

Friendly welcoming staff, plenty of options for fellow chicken lovers For a drink and hearty meal it's £15-20 per person so a very reasonable meal out Our food did take about 30 mins so I went to check and it had just been prepared, I guess they were quite busy on the night! No on-site parking however several local side roads and parking lots which have free parking afte 6:30pm. The local Sainsbury's (right nextdoor) allows 90 mins free parking, so you can always park here and buy something after you've finished eating ️

An absolute joke! I had guest over and between the 4 of us we decided to order 2 boneless platters from here via the website. Once the food finally arrived (late) you could imagine we was all starving ready to tuck in, only to find out the have forgotten one WHOLE platter. So 2 of us have to go hungry, lol ridiculous. When I rang up all they could do was "offer a refund" that takes 2 - 10days to appear back in my account or "come in and grab what was forgotten" absolutely unacceptable. They couldn't even get it re delivered to me. I'm sure in establishments like nandos, when processing orders you should be doing diligent checks before letting orders leave. She said herself on the phone she can "see my missing order". So much for checking and fulfilling orders. EMBARRASSING

We ordered 4 large rice and a full chicken platter last night. We got home and what was supposed to be 4 large rice was approximately 1/3 filled in each box - exactly 5 tablespoons each when measured. Each box was only about 1/3 far from the mark inside the box where the content should have been filled up to. We called them up to complain as this was our 2nd experience and to our disdain, a member of staff who spoke to us basically went "Ok. Rice smaller than it should be. I'll pass it on. Ok. Bye". She just hung up. No apology. Didn't show any remorse. No emotion. Next time you order a takeaway especially rice, pls open up before you leave. We got less than 2 regular rice for the price of 4 large rice. Thank you.

This is honestly more of a 2.5 stars. For the second time now, I am being delivered burnt chicken. The first time I allowed because it was a tough time and I knew much couldn’t be done. This time I expected that maybe nandos would redeliver but I was rather told that they would only refund the amount of burnt wings. After ruining a whole dinner for one of us, that’s your solution? We altogether counted a total of 8 burnt wings on one side and one that was JUST acceptable. What annoyed me is that they faced the black sides down. That’s crafty. I’m disappointed. Probably my favourite Nando's branch as it's not as big as the others nearby (Romford, Lakeside etc) so it's not as noisy. We used the website to order but it would have been so much quicker to order at the counter. The food was hot fresh and very tasty. No complaints there at all. The only thing I would say is that the refill drink works out very expensive if, like my Mum, you're a slow drinker and don't tend to refill. £3.40 for one glass of coke, which size-wise is probably equivalent to a can, is a rip off. They should sell single coke products for those who just want one drink. Other than that though, I do enjoy a Nando's.

Ordered online today ( for 6 people ) directly through Nando's for a delivery. After about 15 minutes after the due time I phoned the store only to be told that the order cost was being refunded to me ( 5 to 10 day wait ) as Deliveroo driver had probably run off with my food!!! Apparently happens often on large orders and used to happen with Just Eat. I was shocked at his response and asked if they can re-cook and deliver my order. Answer was NO, but given a number to report my issue. Will never order from Nando's in the future...food is great but will it show up? Not going to take that chance again.

The age of covid. Your scan a QR code at the door to join the virtual queue. Except this depends the staff member holding a tablet marking customers off and allowing more to join the queue. On the evening we went it took 30mins of attempting to join the queue before a member of staff finally appeared to assist. He had forgotten to select the relevant option on his tablet and so wasted 30 mins of our time. Of course the there is the wait for a table, which was an hour. So an hour and a half wait could have been reduced if the man with the tablet was concentrating. Finally we got in and served, and our food was burnt. Not great.

Didn't need to book..have a reward scheme so grab a card or download the app..lots of choice..free refills on soft drinks...lots of seating up and downstairs..order at the counter..friendly staff and grab some of the packets peri peri salt you will want to take some home..we did..also bottles of sauce on the shelf for you to use while your eating.

Pre-theatre: usual, good quality Nando's fare at decent prices. Shared halloumi starter, large platter of chicken, chips and two corn cobs plus a decent bottle of SA chardonnay for just under £50 - can't go wrong with that. The chicken breasts can be a bit dry so will probably go 'all thigh' on next visit as these are really succulent. Good friendly efficient service - even if we were the oldest ones in there by at least 20 years !!

Well...it's a Nandos so there's not a lot to expect. The food is decent, the layout is okay but there's not a lot to write home about. If you time it wrong, you can end up with your typical Nandos huns, sprawling across the bigger tables, squawking louder than the chickens they're devouring. However, catch a quiet spell, and it's a pleasant lunch option.

My husband and I ordered food last Saturday night but to our disappointment on arriving home, we realised we’ve been given the wrong order. Unfortunately it was just about 10pm and we couldn’t reach anyone on the phone. I called on Monday to express my dissatisfaction and a manager answered promptly, apologised and offered to give me a fresh order on the house! I was quite surprised and was treated kindly when I went there to collect my order. It was my first time going in to Nando’s Hornchurch; I’ll definitely be going back there

Great place, didn't wait too long for food to arrive after ordering and didn't have to wait to get seated. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great food as always, new Vusa sauce available, if you really like hot sauce then this isn't too hot. The spiced chickpea burger is available as well, very good taste and texture however easily fell apart; however, it's to be expected with chickpea burgers. Not too busy around 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm on a Thursday. Very satisfied with the service overall.

Went to place our order which was completed in good time, staff were nice enough and helpful. The when we got home only to see that the corn on the cob was rotten at both ends all brown and gone off. I have taken photos but sadly can not add them on this review but have added them on. There is no way that the person cooking didn't see this and should be ashamed of themselves for thinking it's ok to give this food out to the paying customers. I wonder how they would feel if rotten gone off food was dishes up to them!! Filth.

I treated a friend to a nando s lunch for his birthday. We were served by Nimali who was really helpful in explaining the menu , the sides available and the heat options. She recommended buying a platter which was better value for money. The food was hot and well cooked and we both really enjoyed our meal. We finished off with a desert each. Aaron was amazing .. he served us professionally with efficiency in mind with professionalism as well. Really nice person approachable and friendly too. Will definitely ask for him when I return here. Israel was very friendly and accommodâted us professionally and friendly. He is another example of a true asset to Nandos and he made sure we were happy with the food throughout the whole process from start to finish especially when it was busy!

Twice in two weeks they had no chicken in the evening around 21:00 We asked them for a jug of tap water - they said that they haven't got any, so they brought me some dirty old whiskey glasses. We bought a soft drink and a beer, but the rest wanted water. If I want bigger glasses which they use for soft drinks, but use it for water - then I was advised to pay for them bigger glasses.

It was the first time I visited the restaurant and I was extremely impressed. Kristina welcomed us in sorting us out with a table for two almost instantly and Martin was lovely - very chatty and polite. Very good customer service. Food came after 5 mins of ordering. Very efficient too. Will certainly be always coming back here. Polite staff, quick service efficient.

Yesterday was our first visit of 2021, the food was great and the staff were amazing. But I didn't like the QR code stuff, I didn't know what I was doing and was rather stressful, god only knows what someone older than myself would do in this sort of situation, but the young lady that showed us to our table was amazing and helped us through the food ordering

Walked in to book a table for 9 on a Friday evening last minute but realised it was crazy busy but the staff were very helpful to reserve me a table. Meal went down well I think the prices are a tad over priced but saves cooking at home. Venue appeared clean. toilets both upstairs and down stairs. Front door accessible for wheelchairs.

The man at the door Martin seating us and accommodating us was so great it was like dinning at a 5 star restaurant. In fact all the staff were so pleasant and so accommodating and attentive. Really good customer service compared to other Nando’s I’ve been to.

I have been to quite a few Nandos but the one in Hornchurch is my favourite. The chicken is always cooked just right, the staff are absolutely wonderful and very helpful.
