"Such a gorgeous, big Gurdwara about 18 km North of Edmonton"
"I was amazed with the hospitality and generosity that was shown to me and my son"
"I walked all the way here from 82nd street north, going east valour ave to the Nanaksar Gurudwara! I simply walked in, walked around a little like it was Abba's house all comfortable, noticed a tile going left front the entrance, then right into the room, was the same geometric design as my geometry shirt I wore, and it was a great experience"
"I visited last week to this nanaksar gurudawara Building is nice looks like indian Gurudawara darbar sahib also good but in langer hall i didn't like that people eating food on tables and wearing shoes too i was shocked i used to go nanaksar but i never see like that system we tried to ask but don't have solid ans stop it or u will face it in future"
"This is a truly beautiful and majestic holy place, easily accessible by car, that once you are in the general area becomes a Light House and Beacon"
Such a gorgeous, big Gurdwara about 18 km North of Edmonton. It is close to Highway 15 on service road. You can see it from a distance. Very beautiful decoration inside and outside. There is a room to keep your shoes. People in this temple are very caring and welcoming. We were there first time. They gave us scarfs to cover head. We had full sleeves shirts and full pants. Main temple is in the upstairs. You can go there from two sides. Very big and decorative prayers room. We were very impressed and blessed to visit this temple. They offered Laddu and other sweet as a Prosad. There is a big dinning room in main floor. Food is available for all visitors, at all times. They served food in Stainless steel thali (plate), glass and spoon . Very delicious food . Big washroom. Temple is very neat and clean. Lots of parking lots in front of this temple. Highly recommend to visit this Holy place.
I was amazed with the hospitality and generosity that was shown to me and my son. My son, who is 8 years old, seen the building while we were driving along the highway and wanted to take pictures of it. We pulled into the parking lot and I googled the phone number to see if we could take pictures. One of the members offered to take us for a tour of the facility and we gladly accepted. We were amazed at the size of the building and the amount of details in all the tile work throughout the facility. All faiths, no faith, and anyone in between is welcome. I would love to come back again.
I walked all the way here from 82nd street north, going east valour ave to the Nanaksar Gurudwara! I simply walked in, walked around a little like it was Abba's house all comfortable, noticed a tile going left front the entrance, then right into the room, was the same geometric design as my geometry shirt I wore, and it was a great experience. I may return! I was there before the dawn of the morning, and I took no pictures inside. Very friendly, welcoming people are here. Peace be upon you.
I visited last week to this nanaksar gurudawara Building is nice looks like indian Gurudawara darbar sahib also good but in langer hall i didn't like that people eating food on tables and wearing shoes too i was shocked i used to go nanaksar but i never see like that system we tried to ask but don't have solid ans stop it or u will face it in future. All nanaksar should take action regarding this or they should remove name of nanaksar and mention his own business
This is a truly beautiful and majestic holy place, easily accessible by car, that once you are in the general area becomes a Light House and Beacon. I could feel the Light from this holy place (in a few different directions) without setting foot on the actual property. Already beautifully detailed on the exterior, I imagine that photos cannot do justice to overall truth that this is a very special and wonderful place. Sat Sri Akal.
I would like to say thank you to the Management of gurdwara sahib ji especially Zora Singh Ji ..We were on evacuation for a month and few families were not getting any place to stay then I called Nanaksar Gurdwara and talked to Zora Singh Ji and explained him about the situation . He offered rooms and food for those people who had no place to stay in Edmonton . Thank you
Don't want to give one star but I didn't like Langar hall system where people eat like they are in wedding eg. sitting on chairs and tables wearing shoes and chappal in hall. For elders it is understandable but why Shoes in langar hall? is there any logic ? Gurudwara committee should change this system because it is against Sikh Religion/culture maryada.
Today I visited this Nanaksar Gurdwara. I respect and like each and every place where my God Guru Granth sahib ji parkashed. I literally feel bad when enter to Langer Sahib it was looking like a restaurant. I don't know where they read this rule. Its totally wrong. Management should change it. I don't why sangat accept this banquet hall.
A very beautiful and spiritual place to be. The atmosphere is very inviting. If you don't speak punjabi, not to worry. All of the signs in the Gurdwara are in English and tell you exactly what to do and where to go. You don't have to be Sikh to come here, you just need to be respectful and open-minded. Waheguru!
Peaceful and beautiful Gurudwara as any other Gurudwara in other parts of the world. But I'm surprised to find Langar being served on chairs and tables for all. If community members can recreate all other things, then why it is difficult to serve langar in a pangat on the ground?
I have attended a few weddings here and I am totally in love with the layout and the exterior of this Gurudwara. It offers a lot to the community! The parking lot is huge so you will never have issues finding a spot to park your vehicle. The staff here is very friendly.
Well here I was thinking it was a Hindu temple and it's Sikh. Sorry Ganesha, but my heart was in the right place. As is the heart of the Sikhs! Talk to them, understand the beauty of their faith, and for crying out loud stop asking them how to get to Yamaraj's house.
“He who has no faith in himself can never have faith in God” I think there is no place in the world where I feel closer to Baba g than any gurudwara, including this one.❤️ Pure, peaceful and yet great place to be. Waheguru
The building is huge bt I didn't like that fact the the biggest picture in the temple was of a normal man, who I was told owns the temple. In a house of God how can any man's picture be larger then our Gurus pictures.
Beautifully built, lots of parking. Easy in and out. Spacious Darbaar sahib and the langar hall. From south side to Nanaksar only takes 20-25 mins via Anthony Henday. Pooranmashi day it’s starts getting busy. :)
Nanaksar Gurdwara, all over the world, have a unique aura. There is a special vibe that you feel once you step inside. Very difficult to experience this energy and vibration elsewhere.
Beautiful, clean temple with touch of Indian gurudawara. A must visit temple. Would request to have Guru lunger if you visit the temple
Have never been inside but we always stop and take pictures from the parking lot when passing by in that area. What a beautiful temple!
Awesome place, must visit. Was blessed to have langar and was the best food as always. Beautifully built. Thank you
The place was so peaceful beautiful and the building of this temple is totally look like buildings in Punjab.
It’s Sikh Religious place. Spent quality time there and able to performed duty of Shri Akhand Path Saheb Ji.
Very welcoming and friendly for even our small group. Informative and pleasant tour. Thank you very much.
It's one of beautiful gurdwara. All are beautiful I mean here in Canada they make Punjab gurdwara look.
