We just loved the boating experience at Nal Sarovar. Wasnt much rush as this was off-peak time to visit Nal Sarovar. Thankfully it is banned to dump stuff in nal sarovar and I guess people follow it too. So you won't find any teacups, wrappers, chips packets, etc etc in the lake/ on the sides.. :-) Felt good to see that. Sunny days chilly mornings and evening/nights. We booked a full round trip (Rs300 for the full trip.. and Rs1500 for personal boating). We enjoyed the ride so did it twice in 3 days. :-) If the rower is goodwill guide you and give you an insight of whole nal sarovar, not just the lake. Will take pics as well.

Awesome experience. Whole water body is full of aquatic birds. Have to hire a boat for exploring. Only experienced boatman can steer the boat through channels in the reeds. We visited 5 spots inside which are like islands where birds congregate. Lots of terns, bar Headed geese, seagull, Marsh Harriers, glossy Ibises, osprey, herons, grey headed swamphen etc were there. One trip in a single point of time is not enough to explore the vast lake, because different birds come at different times of the year.

I would suggest you don't visit here at any time other than migration season because you won't be able to enjoy the lake. The boatsmen were too rude and only wanted money there were no facilities working and no life jackets in the boats either. There was no food no water and poor services. Online payment options were also not available and the services were too costly. Water was clean but there are hygiene issues as boat drivers regularly spit inside the water.

Very soothing, calm nature experience...away from city, mind refreshing ... special thanks to our guide and boatman @sikandar... you are best man. Highly recommend to visit this place in winters (early morning)

One of the under rated places in Gujarat. This place is heaven for lovers of wildlife and photography. The serene beauty leaves an everlasting impression. I would suggest to go early in the morning to better your experience.

This place is very expensive I would say go any other place instead, ₹500 entry fees with car why?, ₹1500 boating you they wrote on board for individual but they don't actually follow. Camera charges 200 why?

closing time 5 pm. we reached 5.07 pm. they didn't allow us to enter however they did allowed 2 other cars after we had reached. guy don't waste your money and time on this place. here people are rude.

He took very good care of us n helped sight n name many birds. My husband who is a bird watcher was very impressed with his knowledge. More important even after if you have a query he responds.

Perfect place for a day to spend with your family and friends. Boating guide was having great knowledge about birds and surrounding area. I suggest everybody to reach around 6-7 AM.

Sikander, our guide for the Nal Sarovar Sanctuary is very good in his work. Has good knowledge about the birds. Explained patiently about the birds. Would again visit.

You should reach here by 6 so you can see the birds and visit in winter time so you will see different birds type who have migrated.
